-Author's Note-

This was another story I have been working on in my spare time so I hope you all enjoy this. There is no title for this story so maybe one will come to me eventually unless someone can think of one.

I actually got the idea for this story from reading 'Lieutenants Meet Ninja' by alchemists19. It is a very good read, I recommend it.

Please do not expect updates. If there are any mistakes then please let me know and I will fix them as soon as I can. Any questions then feel free to ask.

Thank you and enjoy reading.

Everything was quiet at night, for once, in Jump City. No H.I.V.E. robbing stores, no villains terrorising the citizens, nothing. For a week, nothing happened and the Titans were taking full advantage of the peace. It was rare that heroes would get time off for an extended period.

Inside the Com Room, each Titan was present as they each did their own thing. Cyborg, a half-man half-machine teen that has most of his body replaced with electronics, was playing a game with his best friend, Beastboy, a green boy that could shapeshift into any animal he can think of. Just like every other time they played a game together, Cyborg was kicking Beastboy's ass.

Robin, the fearless leader of the Titans who was dressed in bright red and green, was sitting at a computer. He always had the bad habit of working too hard, a trait that he subsequently learned from his old teacher, Batman. Floating around him was Starfire, an alien girl with a bright and bubbly personality. While she has lived on Earth and with her friends for nearly a year, she was still fascinated with every little thing that she sees, which includes Robin's work.

The last member of the team was Raven, a girl that does everything to stay as emotionless as she can. When you look at her, you could easily mistake her for a goth but she is actually just a regular girl that likes dark things. Right now, she was sitting on the couch, on the opposite side of Cyborg and Beastboy, contently reading a book as she blocked all the noise that she could hear.

Just as she finally got into her book, the alarms in the Tower came to life and blared a noise so loud that it made everyone jump a little in surprise. "NO!" shouted Beastboy, gripping his hair, "I was so close to winning!"

"Dude!" Cyborg shouted as he slapped Beastboy on the back of the head, "You were nowhere near close!"

Robin typed in a few things as he stopped the alarm, "Odd, looks like it's the H.I.V.E. Trio again. And it looks as though they're robbing Jump City Museum for some reason"

"What would they need from there?" asked Cyborg as security footage of the H.I.V.E. Trio wreaking havoc at the museum appeared on the big screen, allowing everyone to see.

"Doesn't matter right now," said Robin, standing up with a serious expression, "Let's stop them, Titan's GO!"

In Jump City Museum, three very well-known criminals were either destroying anything they could see or they were just taking what they thought would give them a lot of money. The first person was a small bald boy who was wearing a green outfit. This was Gizmo, and as his name suggests, he was good with technology, this is shown as he flies around on a jetpack as said jetpack uses a net to catch anything of value.

As he flew around, a rather large man came bursting through the wall, destroying dozens of historic items as he did. His name was Mammoth, an extremely strong man that could knock down buildings if he tried. While he is strong and hard-headed at times, he is also hungry and will even leave in the middle of a fight just to go and eat.

Last but not least was Jinx, the leader of the H.I.V.E. Trio, who was standing in front of a mirror while wearing a lot of jewellery. Just like Gizmo, her name suggests her power, which is bad luck. Not only did her power make her unique but it also made her stand out quite a bit as she had neon pink hair which was styled like two horns. What was odd was that she actually suited the look rather well.

Looking around, Jinx frowned. While it was always fun to rob places and terrorise the people, it was a little odd how quiet everything was. Usually, a certain group of heroes would have shown up by now.

"There they are!" shouted a voice that made Jinx groan in annoyance, easily recognising it to be Robin, "Get them!"

'Of course, they had to appear when I thought they were late,' thought Jinx as she saw Starfire fly at her. "Just my luck," she then muttered before dodging the alien girl's attack with a cartwheel to the side. Seeing that she missed, Starfire fired a few starbolts but Jinx counted as she snapped her fingers, sending a wave of pink energy that stopped the starbolts. Snapping her fingers again, another wave of energy flew at Starfire, too fast for her to dodge as it slammed into her.

Seeing that the alien was down, Jinx ran to the wall she was close to and sent her power into it, causing it to start crumbling. As Starfire was getting up, the wall began to fall, aiming to crush her under the debris. Thankfully, this was stopped as the wall was encased in black energy that held it in place. Scowling, Jinx knew which hero this power belonged to. And as if it voiced her thoughts, a large bird creature rose from the ground before shrinking into Raven, "That's not very nice," she said, glaring at the pinkette.

"Whoever said I was?' replied Jinx, watching as Starfire floated into the air again. Her fists and eyes glowing pink, Jinx glared back at Raven, "Now it's your turn to hit the ground!"

However, just as they were about to fight, Mammoth came crashing through another wall as he grappled with a green gorilla. Halting their movement, Mammoth punched Beastboy in the stomach, causing the changling to double over slightly. Then he lifted both fists and slammed them into Beastboy's head and then into the ground before grabbing him and throwing him away with all his strength. "Ha!" shouted Mammoth, "Take that you damn dirty ape!"

A large blue beam of energy then shot into Mammoth, courtesy of Cyborg, "Nobody calls BB a dirty ape except me!" Seeing that Mammoth was struggling against his Sonic Cannon, Cyborg grinned at his imminent victory, at least that was until his cannon stopped working and he could feel someone doing something to his back. "Aw hell! Not again!"

"That's right Shit-Stain!" said a happy Gizmo, tinkering with Cyborg's wiring, "The fact that I can do this proves you Titans are as dumb as ever!"

"Think again!" said Cyborg making Gizmo a little confused until he was suddenly electrocuted. The amount of electricity that coursed through him was enough to short-circuit his jetpack and send him flying away. Before he could say anything, Mammoth appeared behind him, holding a pillar from the museum and swinging it into Cyborg's back, destroying the pillar in the process as the hero hit the ground.

As he was about to hurt Cyborg some more, Robin used his extendable staff as a pole vault and kicked Mammoth in the chin before swinging the staff around and tripping the large villain. The second Mammoth was off his feet, Robin threw three birdarangs at Jinx, who had her back to him as she fought against both Starfire and Raven. Two flew past her, exploding in her face and causing a smoke screen to appear, blocking everyone's vision. The third landed on her back, exploding with enough force to launch her forward and right into Starfire's awaiting fist, knocking her unconscious.

"One down," said Raven, seeing Gizmo fly into the room with his jetpack fixed, whilst capturing Starfire with the net from his jetpack. Looking ahead, she could also see Mammoth holding onto one of Robin's legs as he swung him around, while also using Robin to fight Cyborg and Beastboy. Sighing, she said, "I could have been reading my book"

Seeing that Gizmo was flying from room to room, Raven used her powers to lift a bunch of objects in his path. The small villain saw what was happening and weaved his way through the air, dodging everything in his path. Unfortunately for him, he didn't see that Raven was leading him to fly straight into a wall. When she heard the impact, Raven cringed a little but then smirked when she saw Gizmo on the ground and unconscious.

Going over to Starfire, who was still in the net, she quickly helped her out, "Thank you, Friend-Raven," said Starfire with a smile.

"No problem," Raven replied with a nod.

Hearing a crash, both Raven and Starfire looked to see Mammoth unconscious as he fell on top of Beastboy, who was flailing his arms around in pain, "Get this guy off me!" shouted BB.

Raven actually smirked, finding the situation amusing. Robin gave his own smile as he crossed his arms, "Well, that was easy. Even for them"

"Let's us do the celebration of victory!" cheered Starfire, getting grins from both Cyborg and Beastboy and a nod from Robin. Raven sighed, hoping to go back to the tower so that she could read her book. But, she guessed she could stay with her friends as they all go to that Pizza place they all liked. They do make really good pizza.

Minutes after the Titans left the museum, a portal opened just at the entrance. A figure wearing golden armour walked forward, the portal closing behind him as he continued walking, ignoring the destruction behind him. He smiled to himself, knowing his plan worked better than he thought. He knew using the H.I.V.E. Trio to wreck the building and distract the Titans would make things easier for him.

He glanced at multiple artworks and objects but held no interest in them. The item he was truly after was just ahead and when he played his eyes on it, he froze in shock. A clock, which doesn't seem like much but will be priceless in future where he is from, lay broken and smashed in the stand it was on. The man stared at it before narrowing his eyes, feeling rage and anger coursing through him.

Without saying a word, he turned and a portal opened before him. He needed to have a few words with the H.I.V.E. Trio.

The Titans all sat on the balcony of the Pizzaria, all enjoying the pizza before them. Each of them had their own preferred toppings. Cyborg chose pepperoni and mushrooms, Beastboy had mushrooms, Robin had pepperoni and olives, Starfire had everything, and Raven had nothing. She just enjoyed a plain cheese pizza.

As they all ate their own slices, each of their communicators went off at the exact same moment, causing each Titan to groan. They had hoped to take the night off and enjoy themselves but villains would never allow that. Robin, being the leader, quickly took out his own communicator and flipped it open. He frowned, "Someone's broken into the prison."

"That sounds backwards," said Beastboy in confusion, "Don't they usually try and break out?"

"Doesn't matter," Robin said as they all entered a portal Raven opened.

Appearing at the prison's entrance, they all widened their eyes when they saw all the injured guards and the destroyed doors. Immediately, they all readied themselves for a fight, not knowing what to expect. As they all walked through the prison, they had to fight and take down multiple criminals, many of whom they have dealt with before.

"Stay away from me!" someone shouted, catching their attention. Once they all dealt with the current threat, they followed the noise to the courtyard. What they saw shocked them completely. Lying at their feet lay both Gizmo and Mammoth, both looking worse for wear. They looked even worse than when the team dealt with them. Ahead of them, in the middle of the prison courtyard, they saw Jinx jumping around, firing hex bolt after hex bolt at a person wearing golden armour.

"Is he on our side?" asked Beastboy in confusion.

Raven narrowed her eyes at the stranger, "Not if he broke into the prison to try and kill."

The man raised his arm and fired a laser, hitting Jinx square in the chest. She shouted out in pain before landing on her back, slamming into the ground with a loud crack. The man slowly walked towards Jinx and the Titans could see that he was going in for the kill. "Titans GO!" shouted Robin with each Titan running into the field.

Robin threw a bird-a-rang which flew and hit the stranger on the head. The man stumbled forward before stopping and turning to see who interrupted. "Ah, the Teen Titans, this is a treat. I've read all about you in the historical archives," the man said as two objects appeared on his shoulders, "And now you are all history!" He fired his lasers at Robin, who did his best to deflect before his bo-staff was destroyed.

As the Titans distracted the new villain, Raven quickly flew over to Jinx. Quickly checking the pinkette over, Raven frowned. Jinx's injuries were more serious than she thought. She had dozens of bruises and cuts and probably a broken rib. "You need to go to a hospital," Raven muttered to herself.

"I-I'm not going anywhere," Jinx groaned out, surprising Raven as she thought the girl was unconscious. "That guy, W-Warp, he tried t-to kill us."

"Never heard of him. Why is he trying to kill you?" Raven asked, using her magic to try and stabilise Jinx's condition.

Jinx coughed, moaning in pain but nonetheless answered. "He's from the f-future. He likes to travel back in time and s-steal items that are worth more in his time. He's hired us to b-break into that museum and d-distract you heroes." Raven frowned at what she heard but kept listening, "H-He's after us cause we broke something he was a-after!"

"Raven! Look out!" shouted Cyborg. Raven turned and saw that the person they were fighting, Warp, had thrown three discs at her and Jinx.

"Azarath Metrion Zinthos!" she quickly chanted, creating a wall of magic that the discs hit and exploded upon impact. When the smoke cleared, Raven's eyes widened when she saw Warp standing next to her shield. He grinned and fired a blue laser from his helmet, shattering her barrier and hitting her in the chest. She landed next to Jinx, who tried to stand but could only climb to her knees.

Warp chuckled as he turned away, laughing even more at the downed Titans, "This was easier than I thought. Perhaps the history books were exaggerating." He opened a portal while saying, "I've enjoyed our time together but I'm afraid I must be leaving."

Jinx grit her teeth and stumbles to her feet, ignoring the searing pain she felt throughout her body. She ran at Warp with her arms raised, hex bolts ready to fire. Raven, seeing Jinx move, shouted, "Dammit!" and ran after the teen witch.

Warp, hearing Raven shout, turned and scowled when he saw Jinx running at him with a limp. "I thought I had been kind in sparing you but if death is what you want, then so be it!"

He aimed his laser and fired, smiling to himself at how easy this would be. But he lost his smile when Jinx ducked under his laser and fired a hex bolt at him. At that same moment, Raven tried encasing Warp in her magic to stop him from leaving. As her magic began to cover the man's chest, Jinx's hex bolt struck his chest piece, causing electrical sparks to fly out. "NO! What have you done?!"

Jinx didn't stop, she jumped and tackled Warp through the portal. Acting quickly Raven jumped through as well in hopes of saving Jinx and stopping Warp, just as the portal closed behind her.

When she next opened her eyes, Raven had to squint at the sun that shined in her eyes. Sitting up with a grunt, she rubbed her head as she felt a throbbing pain in her temples. Opening her eyes and seeing that she was in a forest, Raven frowned, not recognising where she was or even how she got here. The last thing she remembered was going into a prison with her team to stop someone from breaking in.

Gasping as she suddenly remembered everything, Raven floated to her feet and scanned the area. When she didn't see Warp, she lowered her arms into her cloak but kept a watchful eye. Taking out her communicator, she flipped it open and said, "Guys, can you hear me?" There was no answer, only static which made her frown even more, "Hello? Can you hear me?"

"U-Unfortunately," a voice said from behind, scaring Raven a little. Turning around, Raven widened her eyes again when she saw Jinx sitting against a tree with a small pool of blood beneath her.

Quickly kneeling next to the girl, Raven began to use her magic. "You aggravated your wounds even more. If we don't get you to a hospital soon, you might die."

"Then c-could you hurry?!" Jinx tried to shout but only managed to cough instead as Raven slowly stopped the bleeding. "Or are you useless like the rest of you loser heroes?!"

"We're useless?!" shouted Raven in anger, ignoring a nearby tree exploding due to her magic, "We're not the ones that tackled the bad guy through a portal!"

"No, you're just the one that followed after!" Raven couldn't argue against this as she did follow them through the portal. "Anyway, where... t-the hell are we?" Jinx asked after a small coughing fit. Thankfully she didn't cough up any blood, Raven noted.

Looking around from where she knelt next to Jinx, Raven looked confused. "I'm not sure. Jump City doesn't have any forests."

"Are you sure we're not at the p-park or something?"

Shaking her head, Raven was about to answer when she heard something. It sounded like a twig snapping. "Shh," Raven shushed the injured girl as she stood. Jinx quickly understood and tried hard to not make a noise, but it was difficult with her wounds hurting.

Listening carefully and Raven was able to another snap in the distance, this one closer than the last. Her eyes scanned the trees but she couldn't see anyone. "Haha," someone laughed, their voice echoing throughout the forest and around the girls. "I wasn't expecting to see anyone out this far. Especially two girls like you." The person's voice and laugh sent a dark chill down Raven's spine. Something about it unnerved her.

'Where the hell is he?' thought Raven, wondering if the person was invisible of something.

"Boo!" the man shouted from behind, causing Raven to spin and ready her magic. But she stopped with wide eyes as she saw the man holding a knife to Jinx's throat, the pinkette now unconscious due to blood loss most likely. "Ah-ah, don't do anything otherwise your friend here gets it." Even if she wasn't Jinx's friend, Raven didn't want the girl dead. She could try and use her magic to grab the knife from the man's hand but it was too risky. With no choice, Raven raised her hands in surrender, glaring heatedly at the man. "Good girl," the man laughed.

"What do you want with us?" Raven questioned.

"Well with this one, I don't think we can get much for damaged goods," the man said, pointing his kunai at Jinx. Hearing this, Raven's eyes widened in horror as she realised this person's intentions. "But for you, I'd imagine we can get a lot of coins... after some fun obviously."

'Oh god,' thought Raven in fear. Her instincts were screaming at her to either teleport away or to attack the man. But she couldn't do either with Jinx being held captive. A noise from behind made Raven turn and panic as two men walked into the area with grins on their faces as they stared at her, a hungry look in their eyes.

"Tie her up," ordered the man holding Jinx. "Boss will want to examine the merchandise before we can do anything."

The man on the left frowned as he took out some rope. "Can we not fool around a little?" he asked, licking his lips.

Raven was almost hyperventilating, trying very hard not to panic as the first man continued speaking. "Idiot! Do you not remember what happened to the last guy that fooled around? The boss literally eviscerated the poor bastard!"

The third man approached Raven and grabbed her arms. "Let me go!" she screamed, struggling against him to no avail.

She managed to pull an arm free and punched the man. "You bitch!" he snarled, slamming a fist into her stomach. Her eyes were wide in pain, Raven blacked out and fell unconscious. "Can't wait to break her," he said, picking her up. The second man tied her arms behind her back and her legs together, allowing the third man to easily lift her over his shoulder.

"Remember," the first one said as he lifted Jinx over his shoulder, not caring about her injuries. "Boss has first dibs."

"Wake up!" hissed Jinx as she shook Raven awake. The girl groggily opened her eyes and sat up, her hands quickly going to her stomach with a wince as she felt a bruise there thanks to that man knocking her out. "Finally," whined Jinx, getting her attention. "I've been trying to wake you up for ten minutes now."

"Where are we?" Raven asked looking around. She only now realised she and Jinx were stuck in a small cage and that they were in a large cave with two guards standing by in case they did anything. There was one lantern on the wall nearby, illuminating the area barely. The cage itself was so small that it was impossible to stand in. Most likely it was either meant for animals or children.

Scoffing, Jinx answered, "Don't know. You know as much as I do. Those two bastards keep threatening me to be quiet."

'That explains why she's whispering,' thought Raven as she glanced at the guards, seeing them randomly stare at her and Jinx, practically drooling. She shivered, hating the look in their eyes. Thankfully though, this was her chance to escape with Jinx as no one had a knife to the pinkette's throat anymore. Raising her hand, Raven concentrated but grew confused as nothing happened. Trying it again, she raised her hands and, this time, quietly chanted, "Azarath Metrion Zintos."

She couldn't teleport. In fact, she couldn't even use her magic at all. "Sorry," Jinx sarcastically laughed, "Forgot to tell you that they put some piece of paper on the cage, out of reach as well. Don't know how it's doing it but I can't use my powers. Figured you couldn't either. Oh, and they also took our stuff and your cape and belt."

"Could have told me before I tried," Raven muttered, now realising she was only wearing her leotard as she tried to cover her form. If neither of them could use their abilities then that was a huge problem. Moving so she was now kneeling next to Jinx, Raven decided to at least check over her wounds. "Your wounds must have been aggravated when we were taken, it'll hold for now."

"Pretty sure those bastards just threw me in here," Jinx said, glaring heatedly at the guards.

"Do not worry," a calm voice said from the cave entrance. A figure walked in, with the two guards quickly kneeling down out of obvious fear. Neither Raven nor Jinx could see the person's features until he stepped closer to the lantern's light, making the two girls freeze. "No harm will come to either of you. At least not yet. We have too much work to do." The man had short dark green hair, purple eyes, and an evil smile. He wore a mesh long-sleeved shirt under a grey sleeveless vest and black pants with metal plates over the shins. Over his back, Raven could see a weapon but could not tell what kind of weapon it was.

"Who are you?" demanded Raven, unnerved by how this man was staring at her.

For a few seconds, the man said nothing. He simply stared at Raven and then Jinx before finally speaking. "You don't need to know that, at least until I can find some buyers. Gado was right, you will bring in a lot of money," he said, making Raven feel sick from what she was hearing. "Your friend, however, I doubt will be of any use. With how damaged she is, I might have to sell her for a discount."

"F-Fuck you," Jinx weakly said, flipping off the man. But Raven could hear the fear in her voice. She tried to hide it well but Raven heard it. And judging by the sickening smile the man had, he heard it as well.

"So you're a human trafficker," Raven accused. "Whose your buyer? Brother Blood?"

The man raised an eyebrow, not recognising the name. "Never heard of him." He was about to say something else when, all of a sudden, an explosion went off in the distance, shaking the whole cave they were in. "What the hell's happening?!" the man yelled.

A tall overweight man came running in, his brow covered in sweat as he stood in front of his boss, covered in sweat. "Boss! We're under attack!"

Almost immediately, the man's look turned furious. "Dammit!" Turning to the two that guard Raven and Jinx's cage, he said, "Both of you, follow me. Omaeda, you stay here! If they scream, kill them both!" he ordered to the fatter man that ran in.

He ran out followed by the two guards, leaving the tall, fat one named Omaeda behind who grinned at Raven. She shivered in disgust at the look he gave her and Jinx, wishing that her powers would work. "Boss never trusted me to guard you prisoner's alone. But I'm actually a little thankful for the attack outside now. I've always wanted to test the merchandise," he finished with a lick of his lips.

'Oh god!' Raven thought as she tried to back away from the cage door with Jinx, only to quickly hit the back bars. 'Stay away!' she thought but no words could escape her mouth as the fat man kept stepping closer. "Azarath Metrion Zinthos!" Raven shouted aiming her hands at the man but nothing happened. "Azarath Metrion Zinthos! ZINTHOS!" she screamed, her eyes tearing up at what was about to happen.

"HAHA!" Omaeda laughed as he reached the cage. "It's pathetic that a little piece of paper stops you from using your chakra. But I must admit, it makes things a lot easier for me."

As the man ran outside with his follower just behind. The tents that dotted all around the campsite were all on fire and a few of his men lay dead on the ground. The others were running around, some trying to put out the fires while others were trying to find whoever did this. "Boss! We're under attack!" one of the bandits shouted as he ran over to the man.

Snarling at the sight before him, the man turned to one that followed him, "Get this fire under control NOW!"

"Yes sir!" the follower said before running off to give the orders.

Pointing at the man that had run up to him, Boss shouted, "You! Make sure the merchandise hasn't escaped! Get rid of any that are damaged in this fucking attack!" The man he was yelling at didn't move. "Did you hear me?!" Boss shouted. Seeing the man still wasn't answering, Boss snarled as he grabbed the man by his shirt but stopped when he saw the blood leaking out of his mouth. Turning the man, Boss's eyes narrowed when he saw the three kunai knives lodged into the man's back. Dropping the body without care, Boss's eyes scanned the area. "I must admit, I'm actually impressed," he called out, his hand ready to draw his weapon from his bank. "Not only did you manage to find my base but you managed to set off multiple distractions that made all my men reveal themselves."

He could still hear his men all around, all screaming something different. Some were screaming about putting out the fire while others were shouting about an attack. Besides the screaming, he could also hear metal hitting metal and could sense multiple uses of chakra. It was moments like these that made the Boss wish he was a sensor. It would make things easier to know how many were attacking and where they were.

Reacting instinctively, the Boss spun around and drew the weapon from his back, using it to deflect several kunai thrown at him from the trees. "Too slow!" he shouted out. He stayed quiet for a moment, knowing that his attacker was moving position. Hearing a twig snap to his left, the man quickly reached into his hip pouch and threw a handful of his shuriken. However, all he heard were thuds as his weapons probably landed in a tree. Cursing, the man moved just as more kunai were thrown from behind, forcing the Boss to jump in an attempt to dodge. He wasn't quick enough as one of the kunai managed to stab into his left upper leg. "Damnit!" the man shouted in pain as he landed on the ground.

Gritting his teeth, the man ripped the kunai out of his leg. "Enough games!" he shouted in anger, ignoring the pain in his leg. Going through three hand signs, he took a deep breath before shouting, "Water Style: Water Trumpet Jutsu!" Cupping his hands in front of his mouth, he launches a powerful jet of water from his mouth which smashed through the first tree. He turned, destroying every tree before using the technique to put out all the flames. Ending the attack, the man frowned when he looked around. "Where the hell are you?" he muttered. Hearing a sizzling noise, the man's eyes widened before looking down. He scowled as he saw a kunai at his feet with an exploding tag about to go off. "BASTARD!"

"And you being alone makes things easier for me," a new voice said from behind Omaeda, making the large man and Raven flinch in fright. A hand appeared out of nowhere and landed on Omaeda's shoulder. "There's nothing I hate more than when someone tries to hurt women like this."

Even though he was shaking, Omaeda pulled a small blade out of his sleeve and slashed out at the intruder. "How dare you touch me, you little shit! I'll kill you!"

But the intruder had disappeared. Slowly walking towards the middle of the cave, Omaeda kept spinning around and flinching at every noise he heard. Raven watched, not knowing what was happening but it seemed like someone was helping them which was obviously good. "Show yourself you coward!"

"Me? A coward?" the stranger laughed, his voice echoing all around. "That's rich coming from the guy who won't stop shaking."

"Do you know who I am?!" Omaeda shouted back, swinging his sword around in hopes of hitting the stranger. "My name is Marechiyo Omaeda! Lieutenant of the Shattered Rain Mercenaries!"

He swung his sword again but instead of meeting air, it blocked with a kunai as the person stood in between him and the cage. The person standing there had blond spiky hair and blue eyes that glared at Omaeda. "I don't care," the blond growled, "For what you have done and were about to do, no one will remember a fat excuse for a human like you."

It was then that Omaeda noticed that he was feeling a little odd. His whole body suddenly felt cold. He tried to speak but could only gargle for some reason. Feeling something drip down, he reached up and felt it. Looking at his fingertips, Omaeda's eyes widened when he saw blood and realised what was wrong. His throat had been slashed. His vision started to blur and he could only watch as the man that killed him walked past. He fell, face-first to the floor and died with a whimper.

Raven had seen it all and grew terrified of the new stranger approaching. First, they were captured and to be sold to some auction, then they were nearly raped while their powers were taken away, and now there was a murderer approaching. "STAY BACK!" Raven screamed, backing up as much as she could while also shielding Jinx. The pinkette had fallen unconscious but Raven still tried to protect her.

The man stopped when Raven screamed, obviously hearing the fear in her voice. Slowly, he crouched down until he was at eye-level with the girl and kept his hands in the air. "I know this is scary but you have to trust me. I'm going to get you and your friend out of here." Staring him in the eyes, Raven could tell he was telling the truth. Slowly, she nodded, knowing it was either this or waiting for the other man to return. With his hands still in the air, the stranger slowly approached before he looked at the cage. "...How the hell did this seal even work?" he muttered, with Raven just able to hear him. "Whoever made this was damn lucky it didn't backfire and explode!"

"Can you do something about it?" Raven asked. "It's stopping me from using my powers."

The fact she used the word 'powers' instead of Jutsu intrigued the man but he filed it away for later. Taking his kunai, he quickly slashed the piece of paper. "Done," he said, as if proud of his work. "Alright, it will only take me a moment to break this lock and then we can get you two out of here, alright?"

"...Who are you?" Raven asked, realising she didn't know who this person was.

The man grinned, his now visible whisker marks crinkling with his smile, "The name's Naruto Uzumaki, and one of my missions is to rescue you."
