This little scene just sort of popped into my head. enjoy x

"Duck!" Percy yelled at Annabeth as a bronze knife came hurtling at her. She ducked, and it lodged in a tree behind her.

"Thanks Seaweed Brain," she yelled.

"No problem, Wise Girl." Percy grinned.

"Oi! You two, Fight now. Flirt later. We are kind of busy right now." Growled Connor as he sprinted past followed by three empousai.

It was total carnage by the lake where somehow a squadron of empousai managed to get past camp borders, and had started to cause chaos by setting one of the cabins alight.

Luckily for Percy he was in his element. He raised his hands and 5 or 6 of the empousia got swept away by a wave that dragged them in a riptide like fashion out to the centre of the lake.

All the senior camp campers were on the battlefield Annabeth and Percy fought side-by-side. Leo sprinted up and down lobbing jars of Greek fire at the enraged empousia. The Stoll brothers fought back to back and Jason flew above with Piper in his arms blasting the monsters into dust as she confused them with her charmspeak.

As Percy slashed through the last lines of monsters he heard a yell from where Stoll brothers were fighting. An empousa had slashed Travis' leg and he was on the ground Connor bent over him checking to see if he was okay.

Before he could yell a warning the same empousa stabbed Connor in the back. He looked at Annabeth, her mouth was set in a grim line.

"Go!" She called, and he sprinted towards Connor and Travis who were both on the ground surrounded by monsters.

Katie Gardner had the same idea and they both rushed to the brothers at the same time. Percy cut the monsters down that were surrounding them as Katie rushed to help them.

Percy picked up Connor, and Katie helped Travis stand as they made their way quickly towards the infirmary. Will ran to meet them and quickly took Connor out of Percy's arms, and hauled back to the critical area of the infirmary.

Katie stayed with the brothers as Percy raced back to the battlefield just in time to see Annabeth's knives slashing through the last monsters.

"Hey Seaweed Brain! Where were you when I was killing monsters?" She teased. Percy rolled his eyes and pulled her in for a kiss.

"Aww guys cut the PDA out!" Shrieked Leo in mock horror.

"Go ahead, we'll catch up." Percy said, turning to the others.

"Well, we all know what that means." muttered Leo under his breath. A few of the other campers snickered.

"Shut up Leo, I heard that." Hollered Percy as they ran up the beach laughing.

"So Wise Girl, how many?" Percy questioned, turning to Annabeth with a smirk on his face.

"27, how about you?" Percy gave her his goofy grin.

"27" Annabeth frowned.

"You're not counting the one that tripped and fell at your feet, accidentally stabbing itself on the way down are you?"

"Yeah?" said Percy, his grin slipping a bit.

"That doesn't count Seaweed Brain, you didn't kill it." Annabeth said triumphantly.

"Well it died at my feet so it counts. All's fair in love and war you should know that Wise Girl" Percy's grin became even wider than before as he taunted her.

Annabeth rolled her eyes. "Do you even know who you are quoting?"

"No, but I'm sure you're about to tell me." He tucked a strand of blond hair behind her ear.

"But you're going to catch me first." He winked before sprinting up the beach to catch up with their friends.
