Calm down, they're just words.
Who cares? They can't stop me!
I don't mind them, brother.
They'll feel my WRATH!
*Those Who Are Legends*
Among many, oh so many eggs, just two of them began to crack. The others... are all rotten. But all that matters are the two surviving ones, two intact and health eggs in this spider web.
They shake once, then twice, and one more time. Small cracks appear all over the surface, increasing in size with each movement. Soon, little black arms break the shell, allowing the first rays of light to enter the newborn's eyes.
With both shells now broken it was easy to see what the babies looked like. Two small anthropomorphic black spiders with two arms, two normal legs and four arthropod legs curled up on their backs. The one in the right, a male, had eight red eyes filled with fury and malice. However, the left one, a female, had light blue eyes that exhibited only innocence while she looked around peacefully.
Surrounded only by grey stone walls and a dark wood roof, with no windows anywhere. They saw that they were hanging from roughly two meters above ground. In front of them, another two beings who were identical to them, but as fully grown adults, who looked up to their infants with cheerful smiles.
"Sweetie, my dear, they hatched!" Said the female of the couple, wearing dark noble clothes bearing a green jewel on the chest.
"Yes they have! A boy and a girl, just like we wished for!" Answered the male with similar clothing, plus a top hat and monocle. "How should we name them, dear?" Asked for the wife with enthusiasm.
"They need noble names, as the only two surviving eggs..." Thoughtful, she placed a finger under her chin. "Oh, I know! The names should be... Elduke and Laduqueza!"
"Hum... I like the sound of that. Shows how powerful and noble they'll be."
Powerful? How can they know their potential if the two of them just hatched not even a minute ago?
The girl quietly turned her head to her brother, who was trying to bite a piece of the egg's shell, unable to break it with his teeth. Looking now, it is kind of cute.
The small blue-eyed spider softly smiles, attempting to approach him. Then, when she finally succeeded, she wrapped her four arms around him. Suddenly the boy stopped biting the shell. He let go of it to hug his sister right after, calming himself.
A horribly powerful fist flew towards the young fighter's face, launching him away and falling to the soft sand covering the floor. His face was now marked by the punch, and they were now unable to stand up.
The man who hit them exhibited a prideful smile while lifting the fist that delivered the final blow and kissing it. Then he turns to the crowd, arms rised gloriously.
"As expected from the strongest man in Londreux, El Don once again won unscratched!" The crowd screams, some raging for betting on the loser side while the vast majority was happy with the result.
Anyway, the big winner is, as always, El Don, the bald muscled man with mighty strength. As celebration, he took his white shirt off and spun it in the air while laughing proudly.
"THIS is what happens to anyone who dares step into this arena with me inside!" The man walks to the defeat young fighter, grabs them by the arm and lift them high up like a trophy. "They all end like this! Knowing that, will anyone else try to challenge me?!"
POV: Elduke
He felt entertained seeing how humans could be so stupidly arrogant. This one in specific, thinking no one could overcome his raw power, was the most entertaining. "So pathetic." He thought, smiling to himself through the dark hood covering his face. "Maybe I should give him a reality shock."
The other hooded figure sitting by his side holds him with a hand on their shoulder, attracting his attention. "I know what you're thinking, and you know what'll happen..." She says with a delicate feminine voice expressing worry and seriousness.
But the male just ignores her warnings, taking her hand off his shoulder and gets up from his seat. "There's no fun without some risks." Then he makes his way through the crowd to the entrance of the arena. A security guard in front of the fenced gate blocks his way with an arm. "I'll give you all a real show, along with El Don's utter defeat. Now, be kind and open for me."
The guard was clearly holding a laugh, but he accepts Elduke's little battle challenge and move out of the way. Elduke himself opened the gate and made his entrance by stepping into the soft sand covering everything. The gate then closes, sealing his decision as final with no turning back.
With slow steps he walked to the center of the arena, where was his adversary with a thin moustache. As always, this prideful human was confident, with a small smile at the corner of the mouth. The entire crowd began screaming his name, asking him to destroy this weak anonymous foe.
These poor human beings. They don't even know what they are about to witness.
Lifting his hand to his neck, he takes the hood off. The cloak fell down to the ground, exposing Elduke's real body to everyone watching. Suddenly the people went quiet, the same people that were cheering for El Don now had a heavy feeling of fear down their spines.
He felt like the whole world was looking at him, analysing his black-furred body and exoskeleton over the arms and legs. Said arms were holding one another in his back, making him look formal even if he's here to get his hands dirty. Everybody could see two big red glowing eyes irradiating wrath, while the other six smaller eyes were all closed. At last, on his mouth, two large dark fangs, powerful enough to tear anything apart.
"That's a monster?!"
"What the hell is that thing!?"
"Somebody, anybody, kill that thing!" They all whispered and screamed, very audible to him.
Though, there was a single person amongst the crowd remaining calm and reserved, the same one who accompanied the spider monster. "Well, I guess there's no reason to remain hidden..." Like her brother, the female let's her cloak fall, revealing her true form as similar– no, an identical creature to Elduke, with the only exception being her soothing light blue eyes.
The people around her quickly go away, leaving her alone in a big area of the grandstand.
However, soon enough they hear a proud laugh. It belongs to El Don, approaching Elduke and placing his hand on his shoulder. "Nice costume kiddo, but trying to intimidate me won't work."
The spider's expression shifted suddenly, showing nothing but anger. "... What did you just call me?" He says, grabbing the man's hand and taking it off his shoulder.
"Let's have a fair fight, kiddo. Just take this ugly costume off already." He insisted on touching Elduke, tapping his back lightly. El Don still exhibited his prideful smile all the time, until he was immediately met with a punch on his face, making him lean back and almost fall in the sand.
If the revelation of his species wasn't enough, this surprise attack was sure to make even this narcissistic man go deadly silent, and by consequence, the crowd too.
Then, like a rocket, the human returns the gift with his own punch with all his strength, visible by the pressure his veins were making. However, the strike that KOed and sent a fighter flying before, now didn't even disturb the monster, not even his fancy black suit, like nothing happened.
"Take your stupid hand off my face." Using only one arm, he squeezed the man's, smashing it without effort like it was a small and frail wooden stick.
The pain heard in El Don's scream was clear like the Sun. As if the nosebleed caused by the previous punch just wasn't enough of a reality shock, now he couldn't even feel his left arm. He fell on his knees, trembling from the agony while tears formed on his eyes, dropping down to the ground upon reaching the chin.
"I'm not a monster, like those you read in stories..." He bent down, reaching to the human's chin and lifting his head to look into his own, eight blood-red eyes. "I'm something much worse;" Then he grabbed his neck and lifted El Don in the air, again effortlessly. "a demon, from the Seven Poisonous Sins!"
It was so much more entertaining to scare such prideful humans than to watch them boast about themselves. Even if his sister, who just watched everything with worry, was against it, he couldn't help it. There are absolutely no weapons, nor materials in the human world that could harm a demon such as them.
She hated to see this scene, so the female one looked the other way, into the other people of the crowd, but she only saw their terrified faces, unable to believe what they just heard the demon say.
"A d-demon?!"
"T-that's impossible, demons doesn't exist...!"
"God protects us... God protects us..."
They all prayed as silent as they could, cowering from fear. However, she saw among them a few security guards. Men in black suits and heavily armed with different types of rifles made their way to the arena through the same entrance her brother used. They all formed a line in there, aiming their guns to Elduke.
"Brother!" She called out from the deepest part of her throat. The male demon's attention goes in that direction, noticing the line of armed men ready to shoot, not worried to also shoot El Don.
He looks between them and the broken man in his grasp, growling at seeing they won't hesitate. "Whatever. Give me a hand over here, Laduqueza!" After calling her, Elduke grabbed the man's leg and lifted him over his head.
In the time the security guards took to load their weapons, Laduqueza put her hands together and slowly pushed them away from each other, creating a fast-growing blue orb. When it become the size of a soccer ball, the female spider threw it at the humans. Once contact was made, the orb expanded itself to cover all of them in a blue dome. Inside it, they moved way too slowly, almost like they were frozen, and the same goes for their bullets flying in the air.
Now that the threat was slowed in a stasis dome, the brother holds the muscled man tightly and lean back a bit before throwing him to the grandstand, where there was no one else. Then, the dome finally dissipates, returning the guards their normal speed. Most of the bullets hit Elduke's chest area, but none of them did any damage to him or his clothes.
This shower of bullets couldn't even tickle him. "I'm the demon, but it's the humans who attacked for no reason. How are we the bad guys, again?" He says out loud, projecting a small red flame on his hand, that morphed into a top hat. "Well, seems like it's up to the sin of Wrath to teach you all a painful lesson." Another flame comes from inside the top hat, going into his right hand. It morphs itself into a gun, a colt .45 with a shining silver texture. Now being also armed, Elduke laughed. "You're well protected, so a bullet each shouldn't be lethal."
After a little spin between his fingers, the demon points the gun to the security guards, shooting with extraordinary precision into their shoulders, protected with a bulletproof vest underneath their clothes. They were a total of eight, more than what a colt could shoot before reloading, however there's an advantage about demonic weapons; they don't need to reload, the barrel is merely decorative.
One after another they all fell, leaving small ponds of blood under their bodies, until there's no one else standing in his way to reunite with his sister. Not that any of them could ever hope to, anyway.
Walking back to the entrance gate to meet Laduqueza, he didn't care about stepping over the fallen humans. Both of them cover themselves with their cloaks once again before leaving this place for good, as if nothing has happened here.
When they left, the one human who moments before loved boasting about being unbeatable was now getting up with the help of some other people. Once up, he held his broken arm, still feeling immense pain like he never experienced in his life.
"Who... No, what does that thing thinks he is?" Said just before spitting a small quantity of blood. His heavy breathing slowly calmed itself to a more controllable state. "Nobody beats El Don... Not even a demon."
