Dan, your local skateboarder. Nothing particularly cool about him, he went to an average school, he wasn't that popular and had normal skateboarding friends.

Dan, having no reason to think otherwise, thought that today was going to be a normal day as well. But this would be a pretty lame story if that were the case.

Dan had gone through science and P.E and English and it was finally time for lunch. Dan sat down at his table, and as always, Marucho was there before him.

"Hey there, Dan!" Marucho said excitedly. "Hey Marucho. Why are you all excited?" Dan asked, looking at Marucho who was practically jumping on his seat.

"Julie said that he had something fun planned for us today. I'm just waiting for him to get here and say it." Marucho said. Dan got excited too, if Julie had thought about something to do, it was going to be exciting. One by one everyone came to sit down at the table.

Shun, then Alice and Yuya, then came in the man they'd all been waiting for. He walked up to the table, seemingly as slow as he possibly could.

"Julie get the hell over here!" Yuya said as he got impatient.

"HEY LANGUAGE!" Marucho replied.

"Oh shut the fuck up Marucho I have a recording of you saying 'hell.'" Yuya said, pulling out his phone. "It's only a Marucho word when it's said inappropriately. I said it appropriate-"

Marucho was cut off by the sound of his own voice playing through Yuya's phone speaker. "You know what, I have. This is hell."

"YUYA DELETE THAT!" Marucho shouted and they started to have a full blown argument about whether or not hell was a Marucho word. Julie sat down at the table.

"I was using it as-" Yuya shushed him and Marucho noticed that Julie had made it to the table. "Hello boys. I have an idea." Julie said. Everyone just stared at him in silence.

"You know how the skate park is always full after school?" Julie asked. "Yeah, there are always those kids on the scooters snaking around us too." Shun said.

"Well, most people wouldn't go to the skatepark after nine, would they?" Julie said. Everyone knew what he was implying and they became a bit more interested in his words.

"Well yeah, Julie. That's when the gate gets locked. No one can get in after nine." Marucho said with a smile. Julie looked at him and smirked. Marucho's smile fell at the realization.

"Julie, no. We are not going to the skatepark after nine." Marucho said sternly. "Oh come on. We won't get into trouble if we have a lookout." Dan said and Marucho smiled.

"Oh yeah, and who's going to be a 'lookout' for you guys?" Marucho asked. "Marucho, will you look out for us?" Julie asked in a whiney tone. "No, I'm not going to be a look out for you guys. It's illegal." Marucho said as he crossed his arms.

"Wow Marucho. I didn't know that you wanted us to get in trouble." Alice said. "Yeah Marucho. What a great friend you are." Shun added. They knew exactly how to get under his skin.

Marucho gasped, "I'm a great friend. I'll go be your lookout." Marucho said and Julie laughed.

"Wow, you're really easy." Julie said.

"HEY. I'm not easy. I'm only going so that you guys won't get in trouble." Marucho explained but everyone knew that Marucho was lying.

"So, everyone, skatepark at ten?" Julie asked and they all agreed to go. "I already told Zuzu so he'll tell everyone else in second lunch." Julie added and they all headed to their fourth hour classes.

Dan did his robotics and his math and social studies and he was at home finishing his homework. He knew that his parents wouldn't let him go so he didn't ask.

He thought about the risks of getting kidnapped and his parents not knowing where he was, but he honestly didn't care about it all that much. There was a fence around where they were going to skate so he doubted that he could get kidnapped anyways.

In the middle of his thinking he heard his parents' door close. He looked at the time. It was 9:18, his dad slept from then to 7:00am when he had to go to work. His mom also worked from five pm to around two in the morning.

Thinking about that, he would be able to skate for at least three hours. He should have slept for a few hours before but there was no changing his actions now. The adrenaline would keep him up all night anyways.

Dan arrived at the kids park. They decided to meet there so that people wouldn't be suspicious of them hanging out by the locked gate with skateboards.

"We're doing crimes, late at night. Good thing I have my knife on me."

"Allie, you can't just say things like that. We're going to actually get mugged."

"Not if I take out my six inch knife."

"You don't have a six inch knife!"

"Quiet Gong Strong, we don't want people to hear us."

Dan turned around to face the two boys that were approaching him. "You are the least stealthiest person I know." Allie said. Dan sighed, if they were going to get in trouble it would be because of Allie.

Dan looked behind him to see Zuzu running after them. "Oh hey, we forgot about Zuzu." Gong Strong said. Zuzu was right behind them now, carrying three skateboards.

"We didn't forget about him, we ran off so that we didn't have to get the boards." Allie said arrogantly. Zuzu dropped the skateboards on the ground, putting his now free hands on Allie's shoulders. Allie jumped and turned his head around.

"OH HEY ZUZU, MY FRIEND! MY FRIEND!" Allie started yelling as he turned around to face him. "Allie." Zuzu said the word in a quiet but stern voice. His stare was merciless, no expression on his face.

"I'll go get our skateboards." Allie said as he walked to go pick them up off the floor. Zuzu smiled when his eyes met Dan's. "Hello Dan! Sorry about those two." Zuzu said. "It's fine. Have you seen anyone else?" Dan asked, looking behind Zuzu.

"Well, it looks like Shun is walking over here." Zuzu said, pointing behind Dan. Dan turned around and Shun was indeed walking towards them. Alice followed behind with Yuya.

"ME GUSTA BIG Q!" Allie yelled when he spotted him. Everyone who said they could go was there except for the person who had invited them and the lookout. It was already 10:23 and the only thing that kept them waiting was a single text from Julie that said 'Ima late.'

"JULIE LOOK, THEY'RE ALREADY WAITING FOR US!"

"I'M SORRY SOMEONE DECIDED TO STOP WHENEVER THERE WAS A YELLOW LIGHT!"

"THAT'S WHAT YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO DO JULIE!"

"YOU COULD HAVE MADE IT IF YOU WOULD HAVE SPED UP!"

"BUT I COULD HAVE RAN A RED LIGHT, JULIE!"

"You know what fine. It's fine, we're already here."

"Relationship problems, am I right?" Allie said with a snicker. "Are they actually dating?" Gong Strong asked seriously. No one answered him.

"Okay, now that everyone's here, let's go jump that fence." Julie said and Marucho sighed. They all grabbed their skateboards and headed over to the fence. "How are you wearing shorts, Shun? It's cold and what if you fall?" Alice asked. "I'm just build different I guess- wait. Do you guys hear that?"

Everyone stopped and they heard the sound of wheels rolling inside the skating area. "Looks like someone else had the same idea as us." As they approached the gate more they heard the sound of two people, not just one. And their suspicions were confirmed by the sight of two people skating, one funnily enough, on the ground.

Ever since Runo learned how to skate, he skated whenever he could. He didn't have a car nor did he know how to drive a car, so he skated from place to place. And no one had really had a problem with it where he used to live. The case was so much more different now that he moved. Whenever he skated to the store, he always got weird looks, he wasn't really used to it.

Roller skating isn't that uncommon here, right?

He pondered skating to school since it was his first day there. He didn't want people to already start bullying him on the first day. But then again, he had no other way to get there, a bus was not the place for a scrawny boy like him. His legs wouldn't be able to stop people from pushing him around.

So, he skated to school. He made sure to get there earlier so that there would be less people to see him. When he got there, he took off his skates and put them in his bag. He was staring at his class schedule when he ran into someone who was putting their stuff in their locker.

"Oh my god I am so sorry I wasn't paying attention I-" Runo stopped when he saw the roller blades that had fallen out of the locker. "You skate?" He asked. The man just stared at him. He had sky blue hair that was wrapped into a braid that hung over his shoulder.

"Uh, don't worry about it." The man said as he quickly picked up the blades off the floor and stuffed them into the locker. "Cool. I skate too, look." Runo said as he pulled his skates out of his bag. The man stopped to look at the skates and then at Runo who had a welcoming smile on his face. This is how you make friends, right?

"I'm Runo. What's your name?" Runo asked as he extended his hand. The other man hesitated before grabbing Runo's hand. "I'm Sora Perse. Nice to make your acquaintance. Are you new?" Sora Perse asked.

"Uh, yeah. I was staring at my schedule when I ran into you. I don't know how any of these numbers and letters work." Runo said as he handed the paper to Sora Perse. Sora Perse looked at it. He didn't smile much, did he?

"We don't have the same classes but if you would like, I could lead you to your classes." Sora Perse said and Runo happily took the help. "What does lunch 1 mean?" Runo asked.

"It means you have the same lunch as me. I'll bring you to lunch then. If you would like me to." Sora Perse said the words carefully. It was like he wanted to be friends with Runo but he didn't want to bother him by being too clingy.

"You will! Great, thank you, Sora Perseblade." Runo said. Sora Perse looked at him with confusion, "Sora Perseblade?" He asked. "Yeah, you're name is Sora Perse and you roller blade, Sora Perseblade." Runo said. He was terrible at names so the nickname was purely for remembering his name.

Sora Perse smiled a bit but it was wiped off his face as soon as it came. "Okay, Runo, shall we head to your first class?" Sora Perse asked. "We shall. Onwards!" Runo was sure to catch the smile on Sora Perse's face before he stepped in front of him to lead the way.

Runo made it through Science and math and social studies before being led by Sora Perse to the cafeteria. They got their food and then Sora Perse lead them outside to one of the picnic tables away from everyone else. "So, you skate, but can you rollerblade?" Sora Perse asked, starting the conversation.

"Well, before I moved here, I used to ice skate so I don't think that rollerblading would be a problem." Runo said. He would miss the feeling of being able to ice skate, the weather didn't drop that far down here. "Oh, well, do you happen to have some roller blades?" Sora Perse asked and Runo shook his head.

"Uh, if you want, there's a skate park close to here. And I have some extra blades. And most of the people are gone by nightime. Plus I know someone there that could let us in after it closes too." Sora Perse didn't get to the point but Runo knew what he was asking and didn't want to make Sora Perse even more shaky then he was.

"Yeah, if you could get me those extra blades then I'll go roller blade with you." Runo said. Sora Perse perked up but only subtly, "really?"

Runo hadn't spotted the man with black hair and a blue hood walking to the cafeteria, close enough to be in earshot.

"Yeah, we can go at night so there aren't that many people to annoy us." Runo said. "Okay, so meet up there at what time?" Sora Perse said. Runo could tell that he was excited to meet someone who also skated. Runo was pretty excited too. "At eight thirty?" Runo asked. "Sounds good to me." Sora Perse replied.

The sky blue haired boy walked out of earshot. They went throughout the rest of the day, robotics, P.E and English.

They had been at the park for around two hours now. Runo had gotten used to the way that the blades felt beneath his feet and he was currently trying to do a trick he did on his skates. He was going to go up the ramp and when he goes to turn around, he'll jump. "Okay, first try." Runo said as he started to gain some momentum.

"Runo, Runo, he's our man. If he can't do it someone else probably can, but still." Sora Perse said. Runo laughed at the monotone sound of encouragement.

He finally stoked himself up enough and when he reached the top of the ramp, turning the top half of his body before lifting up his feet, and turning the bottom half of his body. The right foot had landed first back on the ramp but his left foot failed him as the front wheel got stuck on the lip of the ramp. His body turned even more so that when he fell, he fell straight on his back.

Sora Perse cringed before skating over to him. Runo put his arms over his face. His face burned and he was sure it was bright red from the embarrassment of falling right in front of his new friend. "Hey, are you okay?" Sora Perse asked. Runo removed his rems from his face and sat up.

"Yeah, I've fallen before. Fuck, that hurt." Runo said as he rubbed his back. "I can tell." Sora Perse said. Runo heard something and he looked behind Sora Perse. His alertness making Sora Perse look behind himself as well. A group of boys with skateboards stood outside the fence.

"'ELLO BITCHES!" A boy with blonde hair yelled.
