Jaune and His Secret Lovers
Chapter 1
"There you are, Vomit Boy." Yang teased as Jaune sat across from them at their usual table.
"Hey, guys." Jaune said before letting out a massive yawn.
"Rough night?" Ruby asked as she ate her cereal.
"You can say that again."
"It must have been, considering you're having some strong coffee." Blake commented as she took a bite of her fish sandwich.
"Although, don't you think it might be a bit early for a casserole?" Weiss asked.
"If you had asked me a few weeks ago, I would have said yes. But my... mom and aunts have sent me so many that I basically have to eat for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and for snacks. Plus, I don't want them to go bad." Jaune explained/lied.
"Oh, that's nice." Ren said.
"Speaking of nice." Yang excitedly said. "It's Friday, and we only have half the amount of classes today with no tests. How about we go into town and celebrate like there's no tomorrow."
"Sure." Everyone else agreed as they felt some time to unwind would be good.
"Actually. You guys go on ahead. I have some work I need to do." Jaune said as he took a bite of the casserole. "Plus, I have work later."
"Wait. I thought you went to work yesterday?" Ren asked.
"I did."
"And the day before that." Nora said.
"I did have work that day too."
"And did you go to work after classes on Monday?" Pyrrha asked, curious but also slightly concerned.
"Yes. Thankfully, this week, that day's work was not that much." Jaune answered with a yawn.
"Aren't you worried you might be overworking yourself, Jaune?" Ruby asked as she ate her cookies despite Yang's insistence that she get something that could be considered breakfast.
"Not really. I'm used to this amount of work."
"Wait. Are you part-time or full-time?" Blake asked, curious.
"Part-time."
"Then shouldn't you be done with work this week? I believe I heard the maximum amount of hours someone could have to be considered a part-time worker is around twenty-five."
"That's correct. But I'm working multiple part-time jobs."
"I don't think that's healthy, Jaune. You need your rest, sleep, and personal time." Weiss said.
"I know, but don't worry, Weiss. I'm used to this as I did this before coming to Beacon."
"Why?" Yang asked, curious.
"My family is quite big. And I needed to help pay the bills and expenses."
"Makes sense." Pyrrha said as she finished her muffin. "How big is your family anyway, Jaune?"
"Well, it's me, my parents, and my seven sisters." Jaune casually answered, ignoring the shocked faces of his friends. "And my family also recently adopted a baby fox faunus girl called Amethyst."
"Wow. I can see why you needed to get a few jobs." Yang said, still reeling from the fact that Jaune had a massive family.
"Just be careful, Jaune. We don't want you to get burnout." Nora said, worried.
"I will, don't worry." Jaune assured as he finished his food. "But I just remembered. Wiess."
"Yes?" Weiss said.
"Do you think you can help me with some of my dust assignments?"
"Sure." Weiss answered, smiling. While she initially didn't like Jaune too much because of his flirting attempts, she never despised him. But for some reason, he recently stopped. And while she was surprised at the lack of flirting, Weiss didn't mind it, and their relationship has been improving ever since. "But can it be tomorrow? I'm busy later."
"Yea- Actually, I'm busy with another job tomorrow. How about Sunday?"
"Sure. Does eleven sound good?"
"Yeah, that sounds good. Thanks, Weiss."
"You're welcome."
"Well." Ren said. "We better clean up and get to class. We don't want to be late for Ms. Goodwitch's class."
Nodding, everyone picked up their trash and threw it in the garbage bins before putting their trays away. Once done, they headed to Ms. Goodwitch's class. Yet, as they walked through the halls, Jaune's friends couldn't help but wonder if there was another reason why Jaune suddenly took so many part-time jobs. While they wouldn't complain but some additional lien, they still found it odd. However, before they could ponder or ask, they had arrived at their class. And judging by how Glynda was smirking, they knew it would be a tough class.
Five Hours Later
"Okay. I think I might have preferred a full day of classes with tests over what we just went through." Nora said as they exited their last class of the day.
"Yeah. Today was rough." Ruby agreed as they headed back to their respective dorms.
"But on the bright side, now we can head to town to celebrate." Yang excitedly said.
"Well, for you guys, anyway. I have to get ready for work." Jaune said.
"Oh, right."
"What job do you have today, Jaune?" Pyrrha asked, curious, as they arrived at their dorms.
"I'm a crossing guard today."
"A crossing guard?" Ren asked, surprised.
"For school kids or construction?" Weiss asked.
"For school kids. But today, I'm helping some get to the buses as they're having a field trip while others I'm guiding to some special after-school programs." Jaune answered. "So it's a much lighter workload today."
"That's good, as it means you can get off work earlier and have some time to yourself." Pyrrha said, relieved that her leader could relax.
"When do you have to leave?" Nora asked.
"And where are you working? Perhaps we can bring you something." Weiss said.
"Well, I have to get ready right now. But I don't have to leave until another twenty minutes." Jaune answered. "But as soon as I'm done getting ready, I'll leave since I don't want to be late."
"Alright. But be careful. We don't want anything to happen to our favorite Vomit Boy." Yang said with a smirk causing Jaune to roll his eyes.
"I will."
"Oh, don't forget to take your motion sickness pills." Ren said.
"Right. Thanks for reminding me. I nearly forgot."
"Anyway. We'll see you later, Jaune." Yang said as she and the rest of Team Rwby entered their dorm.
"Well, we better get ready as well." Pyrrha said as they entered their dorm.
"Oh, before I forget to ask." Jaune said as he put on his vest. "Do you guys need me to get anything while I'm in town?"
"Nothing comes to mind at the moment. But if we remember something, we'll text you." Ren answered.
"Okay." Jaune said before realizing something. "Damn, I almost forgot."
"What did you forget, Jaune-Jaune?" Nora asked.
"I have to hand in the extra credit report to Professor Peach before the end of the day." Jaune answered as he ran to his desk, opened a drawer, and pulled out a folder.
"It's a good thing you remembered." Pyrrha said as she, Ren, and Nora finished getting ready.
"Want us to wait for you?" Ren asked.
"No, you guys go ahead. This will probably only take a few moments." Jaune answered before running out of the room.
"Talk about a close call." Pyrrha said. "Hopefully, he doesn't forget anything else."
"Hopefully."
"But I still like the new direction Jauney is going for with his hair." Nora said.
"It does suit him better." Ren said as they exited the dorm and were met by Team Rwby.
"Are you guys ready?" Yang asked as they headed to the bullheads.
"Yes."
"Alright then. Let's get going. I want to make the most of it today."
"What do you have planned?" Ruby asked.
"First, we go and get something light to eat. Then, we head to the theaters to see that movie we've been talking about seeing 'cause I got us some tickets." Yang answered, pulling out some tickets.
"AWESOME!" Nora and Ruby shouted.
"While I am looking forward to the movie." Weiss began. "We would still have time left in the day afterward. What do you have planned after the movie?"
"Well, we would still have a couple of hours after the movie finishes." Yang said, smirking. "And that means we have enough time to end the day right. And that's by partying it up at Junior's bar."
"Called it." Blake muttered with Weiss, Pyrrha, and Ren sighing.
"We should probably text Jaune to see if he could swing by a pharmacy and buy some pain relievers and hydration packs." Ren said.
"Right. I'll text him when we get to Vale." Pyrrha said.
"Speaking of which, where is Jaune?" Ruby asked.
"He forgot to hand in a project for Professor Peach. So he's doing it now." Nora answered.
"Oh, okay."
"But while we're on the topic of Jaune. Do you guys know why he took so many part-time jobs?" Yang asked.
"Ah... no. I don't think he told us. That, or we forgot." Ren answered.
"But we can ask him when we get back or when he returns." Pyrrha said as they arrived at the bullheads.
"Well, are we ready to get started?" Yang excitedly asked, causing the others to sigh.
"Yes, but let's try to keep it to a minimum this time, Yang. I don't feel like invoking Goodwitch's wrath or getting detention this week." Weiss said.
"Fine." Yang said, rolling her eyes. "But we better get going. The movie starts soon."
"Alright. Let's-" Pyrrha began but stopped when Blake spoke up.
"Shoot." Blake said.
"What is it, Blakey?" Yang asked.
"I forgot my scroll." Blake sighed. "I have to go get it. I'll be right back."
"Better hurry up, Blake. These pilots don't seem too patient." Ruby said, overhearing some arguing from the pilots in the cockpit.
"I will. But just in case, send me the location of the theater so I can meet you there in case I miss the bullhead."
"Alright. I'll text it to you." Yang said as they boarded the bullhead.
Nodding, Blake ran back inside Beacon and back to her team's dorm. Thankfully, it wasn't locked. Entering, she looked around the room before spotting her scroll on her nightstand. Grabbing it, she pocketed it before looking around to see if she had forgotten anything else. And after a small debate and checking her scroll, Blake grabbed a light sweater. Putting it on, she exited the dorm and locked the door. She then ran back out of Beacon, hoping to catch the bullheads.
"Damn it. Well, at least Yang sent me the location." Blake muttered as she watched the bullhead leave toward Vale.
Sighing, Blake went over to a nearby bench to wait until the next bullhead was ready. However, no soon than she sat down, she spotted Jaune running toward a nearby ready bullhead. Typically, Blake never paid that much attention to wherever Jaune went or what he did, primarily because they weren't close friends. Although she did wish to change that in the future, not that she would tell the rest of her team that. However, Blake's curiosity about where Jaune was going and why he suddenly got so many jobs got the better of her as she soon found herself following him onto the bullhead.
'What's the harm? Plus, I'm only looking out for him. Hopefully, this doesn't come back to bite me.' Blake thought as she used her skills that she learned in the White Fang to remain undetected from Jaune.
Thirty Minutes Later
'It wouldn't be our Jaune if he forgot to take his motion sickness pills despite his teammates reminding him.' Blake thought, smirking as she observed Jaune vomiting into a trash can from afar.
While she wanted to go and help him get through his motion sickness, Blake knew it would make things awkward. Plus, she did not have an excuse ready that would not raise any suspicion from Jaune. Luckily, she did not have to wait long as Jaune soon finished heaving into the trash can.
Wiping his mouth, Jaune left the airstrip and made his way across town to ComStar elementary school. All the while, Blake silently followed him. After about twenty minutes, they arrived at a school with about twenty school buses in front of it. Knowing she would need a better vantage point, Blake looked around for anything that would let her get to the school's roof. Spotting a nearby fire escape, Blake jumped over the fence and quickly climbed up before running to the edge of the roof. After a few moments, Blake saw about twenty kids exit the school. Smiling, Jaune grabbed his stop sign and told the kids to follow him. And judging by their reactions, Blake could tell Jaune had been working as a cross-guard for this school for a while.
'Wait. Didn't Jaune say guiding the kids to some buses that would take them on a field trip? Or are these the kids he's taking to the after-school programs?' Blake wondered as she swiftly moved across the rooftops to follow Jaune and the kids.
However, a quick look back at the school told her that those buses were for some older kids. Snapping back to attention, Blake carefully crossed the telephone lines to get to the other rooftops. She continued silently following Jaune and the kids for about five minutes, where they reached another set of school buses. Moving closer to the edge, Blake saw Jaune talking with what she assumed was the children's teacher. And with a final nod, the teacher had the kids get onto the bus, with the driver helping the kids find their seats. Although, she did have to hold in a chuckle when one looked at Jaune for a second before, out of nowhere, decided to kick his shin.
Yet, Jaune took it all in stride while maintaining his smile. It didn't hurt, and it wasn't the first time a child kicked his shin. Besides, his younger sisters did it all the time before he came to Beacon. Wishing the kids a fun trip, Jaune grabbed his stop sign before heading toward where his next shift was. Luckily, this one was only about ten minutes away. Checking the time on his scroll, Jaune realized he had some time to spare, so he made a pit stop at a corner store to buy a water bottle and a granola bar. However, he also brought two sandwiches for later.
Taking a swig from his water bottle, Jaune continued toward his destination. After a couple of minutes, he arrived at another elementary school. Walking around to the side entrance, Jaune saw some kids and a teacher waiting for him. Smiling, he ran up to them.
"Hey, kids." Jaune said, smiling at the kids. "Hello, Mr. Grayson Carlyle."
"Hey, kid." Carlyle said, chuckling as the kids swarmed Jaune and started telling him about their day. It was certainly a stark contrast to when they first met Jaune. "Thanks for taking the extra shift today."
"No problem."
"You know the location of the program?"
"Yeah, it's about half a mile away and near the library."
"Yup." Carlyle said before turning to the kids and getting their attention. "Alright, kids. Have fun, and be sure to give Mr. Arc your full attention."
"Yes, Mr. Carlyle." The kids said.
"Good luck, kid." Carlyle said before entering the school.
"Alright, kids. Who's ready?" Jaune asked.
"ME!" The kids shouted.
"Okay. Follow me and stay close." Jaune said as he guided the kids away from the school. But as they left, Blake gained a warm smile at the scene.
"I guess having such a large family made Jaune good with kids. It would certainly come in handy when he has his own kids." Blake thought. However, she became confused and curious when she saw five kids remained close to Jaune while the rest stayed in a single file line.
Curious, Blake continued following Jaune and the kids. Although, this time, she had to be more careful as the kids kept looking all over the place. And the last thing she needed was the kids spotting her and alerting Jaune. Not only would the ensuing conversation be awkward, but it would also be difficult to explain.
Thankfully, their destination wasn't that far away, which was a good thing as she didn't know how much longer her luck would hold out before someone spotted her. Peering over the edge again, Blake saw Jaune talking with who she assumed was the supervisor of the after-school program. They continued talking for a few minutes before the supervisor took the kids and led them inside. However, Blake smiled when those five kids from before hugged Jaune before running to catch up with the rest of their class.
"Well, at least Jaune is okay. But I should probably leave as I'm already pushing my luck." Blake said as she stood up to leave. "But why did those kids seem like they knew Jaune more than the others? Maybe he met them outside of work or has been doing this for a while longer than he told us. Eh, I'll ask him later."
However, Blake froze when her cat ears allowed her to hear a cheery voice. And judging by where it came from, she knew it was directed toward Jaune.
"THERE YOU ARE, CUTIE!" The voice shouted. Curious, Blake returned to the edge and saw an older lady with blonde hair wearing a red winter coat make her way over to Jaune with a giddy smile.
'Who's she, and how does she know Jaune?' Blake wondered as the lady stopped in front of Jaune.
However, Blake's jaw went slack, and her eyes went wide when the lady put whatever she was holding to the side before leaning and kissing Jaune on the lips. And Blake was confident that if they were not in public, Jaune's hands would have gone much lower than the lady's lower back. However, they did not stop them from moaning out their pleasure, with the lady running her hands through Jaune's hair. And, thanks to her erotic literature novels, Blake could tell that Jaune and the women were practically inhaling each other's tongues.
"Oh, yeah. That's what this momma bird's been missing." The lady said as they separated. Yet, they still held each other, with Jaune pulling her close and laying his head on hers while she laid her head on his chest. It was a stark contrast to how they were just a second earlier. They were acting like young, passionate lovers and now held each other like romantic lovers that had just found their soul mates.
"I imagine." Jaune said as they separated. "How have you been, Cassie?"
"Great, now. It was a little hectic these past few days, with the moving and all. But today is my turn, and I intend to make the most of it." Cassie answered.
'My turn? What does she mean by that?' Blake wondered, still blushing from the display of affection she had just witnessed.
"I can see that." Jaune said as he pecked Cassie's lips. He then raised his bag. "So, where do you want to go? I have some sandwiches for us. And we have about an hour before the movie begins."
"Well, it is a beautiful day today. How about we go to the park?" Cassie answered before grabbing whatever she put down and handing it to Jaune. "Oh, I baked you another casserole."
"Thanks, Cassie." Jaune said, smiling.
'So, that's where Jaune has been getting all those casseroles.' Blake realized.
"Ready to go?" Jaune asked as he offered Cassie his arm. Squealing, Cassie looped her arm around Jaune before laying her head on his shoulder.
"Let's go, cutie." Cassie said before kissing Jaune on the lips again. Smiling, Jaune laid his head on hers as they headed toward the park.
"What did I just witness?" Blake asked, still trying to process everything.
While it was a relief that Jaune was safe and wasn't lying about his job, it was still a shock that he was in a relationship with an older lady that appeared to be in her late twenties to early thirties. But there wasn't anything wrong with it. Still, it wasn't something she had ever expected in a thousand years. More so when Blake remembered all the times Jaune had 'flirted' with other female students back at Beacon.
"I should probably keep this a secret, especially from the others. Pyrrha wouldn't react well, and Yang was already thinking of ways to get Jaune. Plus, I think I heard Coco and Velvet discussing something about Jaune. And I think even Glynda said something." Blake said as she stood up to leave. But before she could start making her way back, she glanced back toward the retreating forms of Jaune and Cassie. She didn't want to intrude on their date. It was the right thing to do. "Then again, it wouldn't hurt to keep an eye on Jaune to ensure he is safe. And it would make great content for my own stories. But mostly for the first reason, yeah."
With her mind made up, Blake ran to catch up with Jaune and Cassie while remaining undetected.
Ten Minutes Later
'Okay. Thankfully, they decided to use a bench that's near some bushes.' Blake thought as she hid in some bushes about thirty feet away from Jaune and Cassie.
"This is nice." Jaune said before sharing a kiss with Cassie.
"It sure is, cutie." Cassie agreed as they separated.
"How's Charlotte doing?"
"Oh, she's doing fine, the little scamp. And as you could probably tell, she was excited to see you again."
"That's great. But that reminds me." Jaune said before grabbing his bag and pulling out a small box of racing cars. "I got this for her."
"Oh, you shouldn't have. She'll love it." Cassie said, taking the gift. "You're really spoiling her, don't you know?"
"I know. But she deserves the best." Jaune said as he grabbed the sandwiches and gave one to Cassie.
"Thanks." Cassie said as they ate their food.
'So, that's why those kids seemed to know Jaune more than the others. Well, at least Charlotte, since Jaune is apparently dating her mother. But what about the other kids? I doubt Jaune is dating their mothers as well.' Blake wondered while also silently being thankful she didn't have an enhanced sense of smell, considering she was getting slightly hungry. Luckily, she managed to buy a few snacks when Jaune and Cassie went to a store to buy a few drinks. Finishing her granola bar, Blake turned back to the couple that was finishing their meals.
"So, what movie did you pick out for us?" Cassie asked.
"The Knowing. I know you've wanted to see the movie since the trailer first came out. So, I called in a favor to get us some tickets for the movie with our seats being the V.I.P. seats." Jaune answered.
"Oh, the V.I.P. seats? You definitely know how to treat a lady. Come here." Cassie said before pulling Jaune into another erotic but sweet kiss. And as they separated, a long thin string of saliva connected their lips. "Oh, Oum, I love doing that."
"Come here, then." Jaune said before pulling Cassie into a deep kiss that sent her reeling in delight. Her legs bent with her toes curling inside her boots, and her hands instantly found themselves combing through Jaune's hair. And Blake knew that if she could see Cassie's eye, her pupils would be hearts right now as she passionately made out with Jaune. After a minute, both separated with dazed looks on their faces.
"I will never get tired. I wish I could spend my entire life like that."
"Me too." Jaune said before checking the time on his scroll. "We should start making our way to the theater. The movie will start soon, and we still need to get our snacks."
"Right. Lead the way, Lover Boy." Cassie said as they stood up, tossed their trash in the nearby bin, and made their way to the theater.
'I'm pretty sure Yang would have loved to give Jaune that nickname.' Blake thought as she exited the bush and looked around to ensure no one spotted her. Thankfully, no one else was around. Going over to the trash can, she tossed out her trash and wondered what she could do next. But after a moment, Blake decided to head to the theater and see a movie as well.
*Ding*
"Who could that be?" Blake asked as she took out her scroll. But she groaned when she saw it was a message from Yang and the others, wondering where she was. But Blake knew she had to keep it a secret lest all hell broke loose. Sighing, she texted them back, saying that she wasn't feeling well, and decided to rest. After hitting send, Blake put away her scroll and ran after Jaune and Cassie.
Ten Minutes Later
'Wow. It's packed.' Blake thought as she sat in her seat while holding a small bag of popcorn and a small soda. 'Thankfully, I managed to grab a nice seat that was not in the front row. And the darkness should conceal me from Cassie and Jaune. Seriously, what are the odds?'
Turning to the couple, Blake saw Jaune and Cassie leaning into each other as they ate their popcorn and shared a soda. But every now and then, they would share a silent, quick kiss with each other.
'Oh, how much Pyrrha and the others would give to be in that spot.' Blake thought, smirking, as she turned her attention back to the movie.
Two Hours Later
'Not the best movie I have seen, but far better than most others. And it had a unique spin to it. Maybe I'll watch it again with the others.' Blake thought as she exited the theater. However, she had to duck to the side when she heard Jaune and Cassie exit the theater.
"That was a great date." Cassie said as she hugged Jaune.
"It sure was." Jaune said as they let go.
"But I have to go pick up my daughter now."
"Speaking of Charlotte, we should probably set up a date where we can spend the day together."
"I see you're eager to become my kid's new stepdad." Cassie teased, causing Jaune to blush and Blake to gasp in shock. "But we should. Charlotte has been looking forward to spending more time with you. How about next weekend?"
"Sure." Jaune said before giving her a kiss. "I'll call you later."
"Alright. See you, Jaune." Cassie said before kissing him one last time. She then left.
"Well, I have plans for next weekend. But, Oum, do I love Cassie and the others." Jaune said, smiling. But it turned to panic when he saw the time on his scroll. "Shoot. I better get going. Those kids should be returning any moment."
"Well, today has certainly been full of surprises. Who could have imagined Jaune was in a relationship, much less multiple consenting relationships? Although, I wonder who the others are and how many there are." Blake said as she made her way to the bullheads. 'But there is such much stuff here I can use for my own stories.'
One and a Half Hours Later
"Blakey, we're back." Yang said as she and the others entered the dorm.
"Are you feeling any better?" Ruby asked.
"If not, we got you some medicine." Weiss added.
"Yes. It turns out I just needed some rest." Blake answered, furiously writing down what she saw today in her book. "But thanks for the medicine. And how was your day?"
"It was great, even though the movie sucked and Jaune wasn't with us." Ruby answered with a light blush.
"Wait, the movie sucked?" Blake asked, momentarily forgetting that was their original plan.
"Yeah. I was so hoping the movie about the kid who could bend the elements would be great. But it just turned out to be a stain on that show's legacy." Yang answered.
"Wow."
"That's what we said." Weiss said as she finished putting away her stuff. "Anyway. What are you working on?"
"Nothing."
"Blakey. What is the kitty kat writing?" Yang asked, earning a snarl from Blake. But she sighed when she realized her teammates were not going to let it go.
"I'm just writing down what I remember from my dream."
"Really?" Ruby asked.
"Yes."
"What did you dream about?" Weiss asked.
"Well, I don't remember all of it. But from what I do remember, it was about this knight, I think, and how he somehow won the hearts of a couple of single mothers." Blake answered, earning surprised looks from the others.
"Well. I wasn't expecting that." Ruby said.
"But then again, dreams are mysterious. You never know what they will be about." Weiss said.
"True."
"Anyway. It's late. We should probably get to bed."
"Yeah." Blake agreed with a yawn as she put her book and pen in her desk.
"But that dream was strange; I'm not going to lie, Blake." Yang said.
"That's an understatement." Blake said before muttering. "If only you knew the truth."
"But can you imagine if that dream was about our resident knight?" Yang asked as she got into her bed. "That would be crazy and hard to believe."
"Yeah. C-Crazy." Ruby muttered with a light blush on her face.
'Yet, true.' Blake thought.
"Well, goodnight." Weiss said as she turned off the lights.
"Goodnight." The others said. However, while the others fell asleep, Blake silently made a note and alarm on her scroll to remind her of next week so she didn't forget about Jaune's next date.
Team Jnpr's Dorm
"Hey, guys. Sorry, I'm late." Jaune said as he closed the door.
"It's alright." Pyrrha said, smiling. "How was work?"
"Exhausting. And I had to cover an extra shift since my replacement called in sick."
"But at least the day is over now." Ren said.
"True." Jaune said before yawning. "How was your day?"
"Eventful, but thankfully not too destructive." Pyrrha answered.
"How so?"
"Well, the movie was awful." Nora began.
"But thankfully, we managed to keep Yang and the others from tearing the place down." Ren finished.
"That's good. I don't want you guys to get detention." Jaune said.
"Aw. Thanks, Jauney. We're so lucky to have such a caring leader." Nora said with a blush.
"Thanks, Nora. I'm also glad to have you guys as my teammates." Jaune said. "Anyway. It's late. We should probably get to sleep. But first, I'm going to take a shower. Night."
"Night, Jaune." The others said before going to bed.
Notes:
Something I felt like doing after remembering the scene where the lady gave Jaune a casserole.
The title is only temporary, will change it down the road.
