Alyssa wandered the halls of the abandoned hospital, she was alone and terrified this whole place gave her the creeps, she heard a mans scream Kurt she was worried, and she ran towards the screams where she found Kurt on his hands and knees. He screamed again, and as he slowly stood up blood was all over the room. "Kurt… Kurt what the fuck happened to you?" her voice trembled as she ran to him trying to help him. His once brown eyes were bluish/grey, part of his jaw was missing, and he was covered in blood. Moments later he attacked Alyssa, he was hissing at her as he tried to chomp on her. Another scream echoed through the hallways, it wasn't human. Alyssa pleaded for Kurt to stop, but he knocked her to the ground and started chewing on her, Alyssa's screams echo throughout the room.

July 19, 1998

Location: Raccoon City

Alyssa woke up with cold sweats she had been having the same dream every night about Kurt. Kurt was a friend, and in the summer of 1993 something happened he went missing. Alyssa had been searching for him ever since but had had no luck. Her dreams keep bringing her to an abandoned hospital in the Arklay Mountains, but she didn't dare go there. Nothing made sense to her, she couldn't remember anything about 1993 it's like her memory was wiped entirely, as she writes down in her dream diary. Alyssa went back to reading the precious entries, all the same: the abandoned hospital, her friend, monsters, and one big blur.

Alyssa has always been suspicious of Kurt's disappearance, The R.P.D. cold-cased it because, without a body and proof, they assume he just left Raccoon his apartment and everything he owned. But Kurt wouldn't have left Alyssa, not without telling her. When Alyssa went to clear out his apartment, someone had already rummaged through his belongings the same way her's was when she woke up with no recollection of what they were searching for. Whatever information Kurt and she had, was all gone.

Alyssa felt annoyed as she usually did after waking up from her night terrors, she turned on the news to let it play in the background as she got ready for her day.

"Two more bodies found in the mountains, police chief Irons is asking all hikers and everyone else to stay clear of the arklay mountains for right now, RPD has been searching, but still no leads on the Cult."

Alyssa heard the news as she was doing her makeup, with her face half done she walked out to turn the volume on the TV up. Raccoon's crime rate has gone up, the city seems to be falling apart and still, the RPD is unable to find the people on a murder rampage. She had been looking into the murders herself since John Cain didn't think she could stomach this, so he gave it to another reporter. But she was drawn to the murder's happening throughout the city of Raccoon, she thought this was going to be her big break. She'd solve the murders, become some big-time book writer and leave Raccoon maybe move to New York, start a new life, she'd even get her own talk show. All of this was far-fetched, with her luck, she'd end up another one of the cult's sacrifices, if the whole RPD is on this investigation and they can't even find more evidence other than the dead bodies that were ripped to shreds what would Alyssa find? The police keep saying it's a cult, but these photographs of the dead bodies say otherwise unless times within the cults have changed. Alyssa use to be fascinated with cults, in her younger days. To her, the photographs showed a pretty clear picture of a wild animal attack, a werewolf maybe? Alyssa laughed, she knew beasts such as werewolves, vampires, and other bump-in-the-night things, don't exist. Maybe one of the tigers escaped the zoo. Alyssa shrugged off her thoughts and went back to finishing her morning routine.

The sun was shining down on the city, and the weather was warm with a nice cool breeze. Alyssa grabbed the paper, seeing Ben Bertolucci another freelance writer on the front page, with another fluff piece about the murders. Rolling her eyes, she threw the paper in the recycling. He was such a smug asshole, always trying to one-up her, Ben actually has been the only person worthy enough to be called her Nemesis. Recently, he started going on a more conspiracy route which made him come off as more eccentric than he really was, and people stopped listening to him.

Early morning July 23

Another dismembered body was found just on the outskirts of the city, near the highway. It was around 4am, and Alyssa snuck past the police line, to get a closer look. The body same as all the other ones, stomach ripped apart, intestines partially eaten, dragged, and out of the body. She managed to take a few photos before the cops saw her.

"Hey, you are not supposed to be here!" The officer yelled as he ran up to her.

Alyssa remained calm, "It's alright officer, I'm a reporter from the Raccoon Daily and I am just here writing a story." she try to play dumb, but the officer was pissed.

He got in Alyssa's face, yelling at her to "Get behind the fucking line! Or I'll arrest you for Obstruction of Justice!" The officer grabbed her and forcefully guided her out of the crime scene behind the tape. No one else was there, as she was about to leave she felt a raindrop on her head when a man's voice startled her.

"It was another ripped-up body, wasn't it?" the man stepped out of the shadows, It was Ben Bertolucci stalking in the darkness.

"Yea, the cop was furious I was there, I thought he was going to pull his gun out," she said. Watching Ben as he quickly observed the area.

"Umbrella left the city, and its creations are out." Ben casually mentions as he looks around worried.

Alyssa was intrigued. "Creations?"

"Yea they test humans and animals, making monsters that would scare anyone. Umbrella is behind this, I guarantee you what's killing these people is not human." Ben's lowered his voice, making sure no one from the RPD was listening as he continued on telling Alyssa about the experiments they do down in the labs, right beneath the city. but it was too insane even for Alyssa to believe. He gave her a card with a website written on it before slipping back into the darkness. Ben left her speechless, as she watched the EMTs bag the body, and put it in the back of the ambulance.

By the time Alyssa got home, it started to downpour, she turned on the news channel before opening up her laptop to check out the website on the card Ben had given her. The website contained graphic photos of monsters. "What the…" She whispered as she clicked through grotesque images of experiments, moments later Alyssa felt dizzy and blacked out.

"This is Raccoon's Channel 6, I am Cynthia Wilds Another body was found mutilated outskirts of the city, this will make it officially over 20 bodies found over the last few months, we're waiting to hear more from the Chief of police on what RPD is doing in this matter."
