Hello everybody.
I'm back for a new NCIS story with being a Doctor Who crossover.
Not going to say much more since you'll find out all the good stuff inside.
This is pro Timothy McGee, and Tim/Ziva so if you hate either you have been fair warned.
For Doctor Who the classic series has more or less happened with the Time War still in place.
Cue up your favorite version of Doctor Who opening titles, and Geronimo.
Apartment bedroom in Washington DC
Wearing a pair of sweatpants and a blue T-shirt Timothy McGee lays on his bed restless while foggy voices fill his head.
A male voice "I'm not a human being; I walk in eternity..." Next is a warm female voice "Hello Sweetie" said by a blonde-haired woman concealed in smoke using a blaster pistol.
Suddenly McGee twists in bed upon hearing a colder, robotic voice "Exterminate", coming from the blurry image of a metal pepper pot with an eye stalk.
Bolting up in bed Tim gasps for breath trying to get it under control while the dreams fade, well never noticeably clear to start with, just voices, other planets or weird ships, historical people, and aliens. All of it a blurry, mess and McGee decide he's been a bit too into science fiction mixed in with space fantasy over the years.
Or at least it's what he's always told himself for not thinking about the weird dreams seeming too real. The same method Grandmother Penelope Langston upon Penelope dying gave him an old fob watch and a key both feel unearthly. The weird thing about that broken watch is sometimes feels like a voice is coming from inside.
Actually, stopping to think, Tim realizes last night was the first time he put his head down on a pillow in a whole month, with the lack of sleep never has bothered or slowed him down. Of course, he's always seemed to at times have more energy than what he knew what to do with, a very hyperactive kid growing up.
Putting those thoughts aside Timothy decides he needs to get to work, or Gibbs will have his backside. Not that he's ever really made a habit of being late, usually ends up being earlier than needed.
Decides for going on a quick morning run, come back, and getting dressed. Which hopes he doesn't run out of breath, since sometimes feels like he should be able to run farther and longer than usual, even feels like there should be a second heart only quickly dismisses that possibility.
Also reaching over for his phone Timothy picks it up with smiling upon seeing a good morning text message from fellow NCIS agent, partner, and girlfriend Ziva David. Their friendship that came about shortly following Ziva joining NCIS eventually resulted in dating. Already figures he's probably in love with her. Feels weird like he's known her all his life, and a love that stretches farther back yet only known each other a few months.
Responding back the same with saying he's looking forward to getting breakfast together, McGee places the phone down before heading for his closet.
NCIS Headquarters in Washington DC
In the bullpen, Timothy McGee in an open-collar blue dress shirt, with black slacks and a suit jacket is sitting at his desk. Meanwhile across the room at a different desk is Ziva David at her desk wearing a green V-neck T-shirt hugging her attractive frame, brown cargo pants, and boots. Ziva's black hair is pulled into a ponytail.
Looking over "Thanks for paying for breakfast Tim" Ziva says while briefly adjusting her necklace.
Meeting her eyes "You're welcome, feels strange to have a wallet. Not sure why exactly. The wallet as humanity has started to know it is dated back thousands of years. In the mid-seventh century when paper money was introduced and brought to the new world by such adventurous individuals as Marco Polo. Nice chap, helped him from having his entire voyage shipwrecked when ran across Sea Devil… ah never mind" Timothy replies in frustration "I'm doing it again."
"Doing what again? More dreams?" Ziva asks in concern.
"Yeah, only seem to be getting more intense, vivid. Feels like a memory… but at the same time, it's not" Timothy says.
Before Ziva can respond Tony comes in whistling while sitting down at his desk, starting up his computer. Glancing over Tony can tell something seems off for McGee.
"Hey, McWorry, you not get a computer game level done or something?" Tony inquires "Or have trouble sleeping?"
Glancing over "You uh heard that?" Timothy asks.
"I did. Frankly, I think you spending far too much time with your head in a computer, you need to get out and live a little probie. Be adventurous, go places" Tony says.
Rolling his eyes "Because once again I have no life. You know Tony not everybody is you who lives for sex, pranks, and films. Like I'd inform the person who put super glue on my keyboard regarding my weird dreams" Tim says briskly.
"We all have those McGee, though we got a call for one person who won't be having them anymore," Gibbs says entering the bullpen heading over to the desk.
"And where's the dead body, Gibbs?" Ziva asks.
"Restaurant" Gibbs replies.
"Did they die of bad food? If so that's a new one" Tony says while up on his feet and gathering his backpack.
"Not really, I've poisoned people's food before," Ziva says casually grabbing her own bag.
"Well, I'm not eating anything you offer me" Tony replies shuttering.
"Oh, please if she wanted you dead by now, you wouldn't be alive being able to talk," Tim remarks grabbing his backpack.
The four of them head towards the elevator while continuing this conversation.
"Well aware of that one probie, but I meant the person died of the food because it's that horrible to eat, like sheer embarrassment or something," Tony says.
"Nice theory but no human species around actually dies because of embarrassment, despite the term being frequently used" Timothy replies.
"And who made you the planetary authority on this subject?" Tony inquires.
"Which planet?" Tim quips.
Ziva chuckles and even Gibbs is amused by his agent's response.
Just as the elevator doors open all four enter.
Brief time later inside Hartnell's Restaurant
Leroy Jethro Gibbs enters with seeing Ducky over by the dead body, and McGee partially pitching in for Jimmy Palmer to assist Dr. Mallard since Palmer was back finishing an autopsy that was a resulting mix-up, family demands, and other issues. Currently Tony is moving about the room processing the scene while Ziva is interviewing the witnesses.
Actually being Harmon Rabb Jr. and his wife Meg Austin for them still employed at JAG, Gibbs notes. Glad that Harmon Rabb is not in jail for a murder he didn't commit, and tries to not think about his role in that mistake.
For the other witnesses, Gibbs notes is just the two waitresses and cooks. If needed he will pitch in to help Ducky, and send McGee out because frankly sending DiNozzo to interview witnesses can be rather headache-inducing.
Pushing those thoughts aside Gibbs walks up to the crime scene stares down at the dead man while Ducky examines him.
"What do we've got?" Gibbs inquires.
"Micky Smith, former Marine going off a VA card in his wallet" McGee replies.
"Appears to be of electricity burns concreated around his head but not exactly positive on how he got them. Really is most interesting. You know this actually reminds me of Mary Reeser who died like she had been burned for cremation" Ducky says.
"Only the apartment was completely untouched. Most people think it was mere human combustion, and in a way it was. Only not quite as simple given a Terileptils… I'm doing it, again aren't I?" Timothy asks in confusion looking around.
Glaring "Spending too much time with Ducky recently?" Gibbs inquires gruffly.
"If he did or not, I resent that Jethro. A young man's ability to ponder mysteries of the universe should not be condemned because it is bothersome to others who are impatient" Ducky replies briskly.
Scowling Gibbs looks while Tony whistles in approval from across the room causing the former Marine sniper to glower toward the man. Tony shuts up getting back to taking pictures and eventually making his way over to the body. Entering Ziva closes the notebook she used to write information down.
"The witnesses said that he came running in screaming clutching his head, before falling down dead. Nobody can quite understand how or why it happened" Ziva says.
"I'm afraid my dear you will have to count me to that list. Hopefully, we will know more once I get this man back to autopsy" Ducky says, "Give me a hand would you Mr. Pal… sorry Timothy."
Looking at the man's head "It's his earpiece. Of course, no other way" Timothy says in realization while lightly smiling.
Rolling his eyes "Oh come on probie, there's no way that earpiece has enough power to fry a man's head. You've been reading too much science fiction; you need to see classics like A Few Good Men" Tony says.
Glancing over "What's the harm in trying? Is your ego really that fragile?" Tim asks pointedly.
Flinching Tony glances off as Ziva smirks in approval at her boyfriend's rebuke of DiNozzo. Meanwhile, Timothy tries to remove the earpiece yet strangely finds resistance causing him to sing in a bit more strength and yanks it out of Smith's ear having brain matter attached. Tony, Gibbs, and Ducky look lightly uneasy, since it's obvious that the device somehow got attached to his brain.
Ziva doesn't even blink while strangely neither does McGee, as in the back corners of his mind has seen much worse than this inhuman sight for what was done to Smith. Neither do either flinch as Tim feels the substance, confirming his suspicions. Also, Timothy briefly notes like the answer is somewhere in the back parts of his head, like having seen this before but just very far out of reach.
"Bag that would you DiNozzo" Gibbs orders in disgust.
Pulling out a plastic bag from his pocket Ziva takes it with letting Timothy drop the substance inside while Tony captures a picture.
"Now the only question is who on earth could have done this? Any tech companies or weird things you keep track of McGee for possible answers?" Tony inquires.
"Well, none that jump off at me, I'd like to see who Smith worked for, however. Might lead us on a correct path" Timothy replies.
Privately Ziva notes it's not from Earth at all, but for now, has to keep that information quiet. Well, could possibly be only doesn't think they've quite reached the technology level yet. Not to mention the exact species or groups behind who have access to that type of tech are far too many for right now.
Although Ziva knows keeping secret certain information well probably will be coming to an end soon. The chips will fall as they may. Besides, there is no way Ziva knows she will let McGee lose his mind. Probably why going to be making a quick visit to McGee's apartment to get a watch.
"Let's hope it does because frankly whatever person can do this is unsettling, to say the least. Alien in real life" Tony says.
Grabbing ahold of the body Timothy helps Ducky place it on the nearby stretcher. Ziva morbidly notes DiNozzo has no idea just how right he already is.
Hope you all enjoyed this opening and let me know what you think in a review.
Until next time.
