Hi Everyone. This story is supposed to take place before/during/after the epilogue for Watching and Dreaming, the season finale of The Owl House, so major spoilers ahead. Go watch that first. Also, this is a build-up to a different story I am thinking about writing that takes place in the same canon universe as this. It will crossover between the next generation of The Owl House and Gravity Falls. What I mean by next-gen is it takes place in the literal next generation, as in Luz's and Dipper's kids. Although nothing is finalized, and that story might not even come to fruition, I am less likely to put this story on hiatus since I have more ideas in the long run.

Luz Noceda always thought everything would return to normal after her Titan Magic ran out and the Titan's spirit left the boiling isles. After the defeat of Belos, Luz's mom, Camila, being a vet and knowing what kind of stress Luz put on her body, took her to the doctor's office and gave her a full body checkup. The doctors found nothing out of the ordinary, no magic bile sack, no horns poking out of her head, no distorted toes, nothing.

Well, nothing except for an unidentified germ in her bloodstream. It might have been just a cell floating around that was leftover from when she caught the common mold. The weird thing was the germ didn't do anything. It didn't target any of her cells; as far as the doctors could tell, it was some pathetic mutation of the cold (the two infections at their core have very similarities). They thought it was harmless and left it at that. The only thing they didn't understand was why her immune system wasn't fighting back. Maybe it's because the germ didn't put up a fight in the first place, as it just sat there, doing nothing, but what do I know about Biology? I'm going into Mechanical Engineering. Either way, the doctors just gave Luz some medications and sent her on her way.

That wasn't the only thing that wasn't normal. The Collector, before he left, made a new portal to the Human Realm, so Luz found herself staying at her house, then traveling to another dimension to go to school, and then stay at the Owl House for a few hours to. spend time at the Owl House with King, Eda, and, more often than not, Amity.

Not only that, but she became world famous, at least in the Boiling Isles. After the defeat of Belos, word quickly spread about the teenage human who saved the world. Everywhere she went, she was met with smiles and congratulations. She was already popular in Bonesborough, as she was a mythical being from another dimension who lived with the greatest witch on the Boiling Isles. Luz made her face known through all sorts of adventures.

Something else that changed was the fact that her glyphs stopped working. Since her glyphs used Titan magic and the only Titan with magic left, all magic that wasn't tied to a bile sack or palistrom wood disappeared when King's dad did. This made school very difficult as previously, she would resort to glyphs. After realizing this, Eda decided to train Luz to use primarily her palisman, Stringbean, to use magic.

Unfortunately, the battle against Belos, rebuilding the Boiling Isles, and the pressure from school greatly exhausted Luz. She was usually either at school, the Owl House, or the Human Realm. She traveled to town less and less as she tried to take it easy. This went on as weeks turned into months and months into years. This is where our story begins, a couple of weeks before Luz's surprise party.

This is, what I consider, a sort of prologue; chapter zero. Think of it as the first half of Concerning Hobbits, from The Hobbit. If you couldn't tell, I got Grammarly sometime between now and when I last posted a chapter on Vee's Story. Hopefully, this will help with my poor excuse of… any possible writing talent and will also make these chapters a bit longer than before. As usual, feel free to comment with your ideas. Unlike before, I have some sort of story arc that I plan to take these characters through, but any input you guys have will be very much appreciated. Until next time!
