Chapter 1 - Piper meet the legendary Thunderbird that her mother Lucy told her about when she was a little girl
Piper is the first little sibling to Scott, the second big sibling to Virgil, John, Gordon and Alan and the only adopted sister to Kayo but Piper is a curious girl because her childhood was different than her siblings because their mother Lucy told her about a legendary Thunderbird that Lucy herself was a guardian of the legendary Thunderbird and she told Piper that she would going to be a guardian of the legendary Thunderbird herself when she is older but that was all change on that faithful day
Piper was 16 years old and her family was on a holiday snowboarding but then an avalanche happened, trapping Piper under the snow and killing Lucy, and Piper was going to share the same faith as Lucy but as Piper was shutting her eyes she feel something warm around her and she open her eyes and saw the legendary Thunderbird her mother told her about and she smile weakly and try to touch the legendary Thunderbird but she was too weak to anything and she was still too cold
That is when the legendary Thunderbird did something to keep Piper alive and warm until she was rescue a week later, the legendary Thunderbird wrap her whole body around Piper to keep her warm and gave her pine nuts and other foods to keep Piper well fed before putting Piper into a deep sleep and the legendary Thunderbird choose Piper as her next guardian of the legendary Thunderbird, and by the time rescuers found her and got her to a nearby hospital the doctors thought that Piper was kidnap by someone and buried in the snow by her kidnapper and not by the avalanche but when Piper came out of her deep sleep she look confused and ask one of the doctor why was there police officers standing outside her hospital room and they told her what they thought happened to her but Piper told them that she was buried in the snow by the avalanche and told them that she survive thank to her guardian angel but she knew that she survive thank to the legendary Thunderbird and by the time that she was release from hospital she told her father what happened and then she realise that she was the only survivor of the avalanche and that she have become the next guardian of the legendary Thunderbird at 16 years old
