I woke up as I hit the alarm to make it stop, sitting down on my bed I stared into the wall of my bedroom for what felt like hours as I then got up, showered and left to the kitchen to prepare breakfast were I proceeded to leave for work.

'fuuuuuuuuuuck'

Is all I could think about as I walked myself to work. I hate going to work as it consists of me going in for 9 or 5 hours a day and staying in as a busboy making $14.50 an hour. Though I suppose it's alright as I recently successfully stopped my smoking addiction and started to save up money for a community college were I then plan to transfer to a four-year university.

I don't have a car so I typically walk or take the transit bus and I also lived in what could perhaps be the smallest one bedroom apartment in the world. This was all good however, I could save up as much money as I could quickly with it only being used on bills or the necessary supplies for food and water, I also lived alone so it was just me that I needed to worry about.

It's not a matter of if I succeed but that I will succeed, during my free time I enjoy watching all kinds of anime with my favorite one being My Hero Academia, not the greatest out there but it's definitely a very great watch. Though with all that is currently happening I only just caught up to the anime and manga. What truly amazed me was the number one hero of America Stars and Stripes' quirk, New Order which allowed the user to set new laws upon an object or individual by touching it or them and saying its or their name with the order that you want.

To think that such a quirk like this has more potential than AFO and OFA is mindblowing let alone the fact that it exists, if I were to reincarnate within the verse I would most definitely select it as mine and I wouldn't mind at all. Or even better, have a modified version of New Order were it wouldn't be necessary to touch something and say its name but think of it without touching it instead. By thinking of its name and giving it an order for it to act upon would be even more powerful then what New Order is currently.

A shame that Stars and Stripes was only used as a plot device to debuff Shigaraki, she most definitely would've lasted longer or survived if she had more intel on All For One and Tomura Shigaraki.

Stopping just before crossing the road I looked both sides, noticing the streets weren't as busy today so I proceeded to walk ahead without a second thought not waiting for the light to turn red and allowing me to cross. Emptiness is everything that could be seen all around, devoid of anything that could possibly feel or think. With one individual soul that seemingly floated in no specific direction as it was all it could be aware of as it panicked.

This only lasted for a moment as the next second a booming voice that gave out nothing but a sense of power echoed around him.

He was an eleven year old orphan, one born without power thus resulting in him being bullied ruthlessly and continuously. He was different from everyone else as he had no special ability to stand in and instead stood out without it. Not even the caregivers would pay him any attention when this happened.

And so he ran, this is what Escanor remembered of the boy who once possessed the body he now resided in. He stood up slowly to familiarize himself with his new body and surroundings, rain poured down heavily as he took notice of the blankets tied together to form a loop hanging just under the ladder that would allow one to climb up onto the roof. Either a successful or failed attempt to completely end himself, he couldn't tell.

Though he felt sympathetic towards the boy and his upbringings, this was a second chance for him to start over from the ground up. A new opportunity that he wouldn't throw away and mess up, an opportunity for a new life.

'I have a rough start, how should I go about this?'

'First let's see if I have my quirk'

Escanor thought of the ground lifting up in the shape of a singular smooth pillar about his height which was around 4'9. His face consisted of a grin that stretched across his face at the sight before him.

"This is AMAZING, I already have some level of control over it! All that matters now is to find MY limits with it and fucking eradicate them"

'Of course, before I can focus on that I'd need to get myself out of this slum'

Thinking of any possible solutions he walked out into the streets as a new journey awaited him.

A/N: Hello!!! Would you guys want me to skip straight to canon or include how Escanor finds his way out? Also, though I caught up to recent events, I do plan on rewatching My Hero Academia from start to present once again to get a better understanding of how I am going to write this story. The consistency of the updates is something I'm unsure of as I am very busy and only just found out I don't have spring break due to my high school classes not aligning with my college ones. :)
