Hiccup woke up in the morning and smiles "today is my birthday and I turned sixteen."
He out of bed and walks downstairs to see no one and sighs "another day where my dad cares more about this village than me for eleven years."
He makes himself breakfast to eat.
As he ate eggs for breakfast, he thinks about leaving Berk for a while because he doesn't exist.
After breakfast, he walked outside and headed to the forge to work.
While he walked down to the forge, he realized Astrid's birthday was two weeks after his birthday.
He arrives at the forge to begin working.
Gobber grins "happy birthday, Iccup. I got you a birthday present."
Hiccup smiles "thank you, Gobber. You and Elder Gothi are the only two that treat me like I'm part of the tribe. Everyone else hate me and wish I would leave."
Gobber sighs "I take it he wasn't there to wish you happy birthday was he?"
Hiccup shakes his head "no, he never been there when I needed him. The only time he was there was to publicly scold me for just trying to help and things I didn't do. Others just ridicule me for my size."
Gobber smiles "I'm giving you the day off."
Hiccup smiles "thank you" and leaves the forge to go to the cove to draw.
He spends all day in the secret cove drawing.
A black dragon landed in the cove to study the boy.
Hiccup smiles at the black dragon.
It hasn't let him near him.
He seen the dragon last year.
After he finished the drawing, he looked through his sketch book and says "she never knows I exist."
He closes his sketch book and leaves the cove.
He walks home to see his father leaving the house.
Stoick comments "I left some chicken and bread for you."
Hiccup sighs "do you know what today is?"
Stoick answers "it's another night that we don't have a dragon raid. There's nothing special about today, Hiccup."

Stoick sighs and leaves walking to the Meade hall feeling sad.
Snotlout and Tuffnut watch the exchange and conversation.

He took his travel bag downstairs.
After that he ate chicken leg and wrote a goodbye note.
There was a knock on the door.

Snotlout sighs "I'm sorry to forget your birthday and I was heading to the teens to go setup a party to celebrate your birthday."

Astrid return from training to eat breakfast to see her mom looking through a book and ask "what's that?"
Brynhild sighs "I think you should read the letter first."
Astrid pick up the letter to read to herself.
Dear Astrid,
I have always loved you from the moment I saw you. You never did anything to defend me. You were like a goddess to me. When I return, be prepared to suffer. I'll never forgive any of you after two asshole broke me like a girl.
