17 November 1965
It was a frigid winter's eve, the kind that chills you to the bone and numbs your senses. The world outside was covered in a thick blanket of snow that had accumulated for days, transforming the once vibrant streets into a desolate winter wonderland. Between the gaps in the clouds, the moon shone bright like a disk of silver, illuminating the landscape with its ethereal glow.
But amidst the beauty of the night, there was an eerie silence that hung heavy in the air, interrupted only by the sound of footsteps approaching. The footsteps echoed like a predator stalking its prey, growing louder and louder until they reached a door.
The door handle turned slowly, creaking with each movement until it finally gave way. In walked a towering figure, at least six inches above the average height, who addressed the person lying in the bed.
"Hello, Gellert," the imposing figure greeted, their voice reverberating through the room.
The reply came slowly, weakly, as if clinging to the last vestiges of life.
"Hello, my friend," Gellert replied, his voice barely above a whisper.
The imposing figure approached the bed and surveyed Gellert's frail form. "How are you, my friend?" they asked, their voice filled with concern. "It's been a long time since we've spoken. I see that you have been through hell, and that time is running short for you in this world."
Gellert could only muster a faint "hmm" in response.
"I am heartbroken to see you like this," the imposing figure continued, their voice filled with regret. "If only you had stayed with me like we did when we were teenagers, we could have conquered the world together. But now, you refuse to listen to me, even as you suffer so much pain. And now, I won't be here to see you take your last breath. Goodbye, my friend."
The imposing figure turned to leave, their heart heavy with grief. "I did everything for the greater good," they muttered to themselves, the weight of their actions heavy on their soul.
24 November 1965, Nurmengar
Gellert Grindelwald's tired eyes slowly opened as he turned his gaze towards the small barred window on the heavy door of his cell in Nurmengard Prison. A smile brightened the face of Stefan, a young guard, as he appeared in the metal bars.
"I have a visitor for you, dark lord," Stefan said, his tone suggesting he was both curious and suspicious of the woman who had requested to see Grindelwald. "I don't know why this woman wants to visit you. By the way, have your last fun. You have ten minutes to talk. I'm waiting outside."
The visiting woman entered and looked at Grindelwald for some time before speaking. "It's time to free you, my lord," she said before stepping back into the corner of the cell.
When Stefan returned for his rounds, the woman locked eyes with him and quickly overwhelmed his mind, implanting her instructions without difficulty. Stefan was young and had no mental defenses to protect himself from such intrusion.
After two hours, Stefan found what he needed, holding his wand out in front of him as though he was going to cast a spell. However, the woman realized he was actually levitating a disillusioned object. Stefan set his invisible burden down on the cell's now-vacant bunk and cancelled the disillusionment spell. The woman then transfigured the object into a replica of Gellert Grindelwald's body, working meticulously until she was satisfied that it was an exact copy.
Disillusioned with Grindelwald, the woman took her leave with Stefan and something floating behind her back. They walked through the corridors until they reached a secret tunnel, where the woman was confident that nobody would find him. She had helped design the prison and knew it like the back of her hand.
After checking with the gatekeeper to ensure no suspicion was raised, the woman took Grindelwald through the tunnel and into the outside world. She erased every instruction from Stefan's mind before leaving Nurmengard Prison.
She couldn't help but think about the headline of the next day's wizarding world newspaper. It read, "The Dark Lord is Dead: Grindelwald Meets His Demise in Nurmengard Prison." She knew that the news would send shockwaves throughout the wizarding community. She had meticulously planned and executed the daring rescue operation, taking advantage of the weaknesses in the prison's security and the gullibility of the young guard, Stefan.
17th march 1977
Only five people were present in the room, and each one of them had an unknown feeling in their head. Lily and James had been dating since the opening of their fifth year, and now Lily was in her sixth year, heavily pregnant with a baby that was due to arrive any moment. Only Professor Dumbledore, Professor McGonagall, Sirius, and the Potter family knew about the pregnancy.
Lily was lying in a bed, breathing heavily as the signs of labour had started. Her side was occupied by none other than Dorea, who was going to assist with delivering the baby. Dorea was the number one healer at St. Mungo's Hospital, and her presence gave Lily some comfort.
The room was silent except for the sound of Lily's breathing and the occasional murmur of reassurance from Dorea. James sat next to Lily, holding her hand tightly, trying to offer as much support as he could.
As the contractions intensified, Dorea sprang into action, guiding Lily through the difficult process of childbirth. The room was filled with a mix of tension and anticipation as everyone waited for the arrival of the baby. Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, a baby's cries filled the room.
Lily's exhausted face broke into a relieved smile as she gazed down at the tiny bundle in her arms. James beamed with pride and relief. In that moment, the unknown feelings in their heads dissipated, replaced by a shared sense of wonder and love for the new life that had entered the world.
After three hours
As she lay in James' arms, exhausted yet glowing, Charlus Potter stood in the doorway with a massive grin on his face, proud to be a grandfather.
As Lily handed the baby to Charlus, she couldn't help but cry tears of joy. "Oh, he's beautiful, isn't he? He has my eyes and Potter's stupid hair," she whispered, her face crooked in James' neck.
Charlus chuckled. "Yeah, he does have Potter's stupid hair," he replied, as he passed the baby to Dorea, who was going to take care of the baby for the night.
Lily and James couldn't stop beaming as they watched Dorea hold their son. "What are you going to call him?" Dorea asked lovingly.
"We've decided on Harry James Potter," said James firmly.
Lily smiled. "Our little baby Harry."
Suddenly, they all turned to see Sirius standing in the doorway, holding his breath in awe. Dorea quickly passed the baby to Sirius, who looked down at the small, fragile life in his arms.
As Sirius held the baby, he couldn't help but feel a strange sense of responsibility. "Who is the godfather of this baby?" he asked.
"Of course it's you, Padfoot," replied James with a smile.
After spending a week with her baby, Lily had to go back to school, leaving Harry in the care of his grandparents. But her mind was constantly consumed with thoughts of her child, making it difficult for her to concentrate on her studies. Professor McGonagall warned her to focus on her studies, but Lily couldn't help it.
James tried to reassure her, reminding her that Harry was in good hands with his parents, but Lily couldn't shake the feeling of guilt and sadness. She regretted that they had chosen the wrong time to have a child and that their baby was suffering without them.
But James reminded her that they would always be there for Harry, no matter what. And with that, Lily felt a glimmer of hope and comfort, knowing that they would do everything in their power to be there for their son.
Motherhood is a divine bond that connects a mother to her child. The love and support of a mother are unmatchable, and every child has a special place in their heart for their mother. For a child, their mother is the first person they see after their birth, and she always remains an angelic figure for her child.
After completing their 6th year at Hogwarts, the Marauders and Lily were excited to return to London. As the Hogwarts Express arrived at King's Cross Station, Lily's eagerness to see her baby boy was a sight to behold. After bidding farewell to Remus and Peter, they left the station with a side-apparition with Charlus.
As soon as they entered the manor, Lily rushed towards her baby boy's room with an urgency as if it was a matter of life and death. As she approached the room, she slowed down her pace and entered with a gentle and caring smile on her face. Dorea was holding Harry in her arms, and she smiled and gently placed him into Lily's arms.
Lily cooed at her son, "Hello there, my precious one. How's my favourite little man?" Happy tears slid down her cheeks as she held her son close.
James entered the room and playfully rebuked Lily, "I thought I was your favourite man."
"You're my favourite man who's more than six months old," she responded, matching his tone.
As James wrapped an arm around her shoulders, they both stared down at their son's happy face. Lily couldn't hold back her emotions as she whispered, "I miss you so much, Harry." Tears fell freely from her eyes.
Harry looked at them and said, "Ma..ma…. da..da," and started to tug at Lily's hair. They glowed like stars as they listened to their son's voice and some happy tears fell from their cheeks. The love and bond between a mother and her child are unexplainable, and Lily and James felt it in their every moment with Harry.
Next Morning
Lily wakes suddenly as she feels a pinch on her nose. To her surprise, it's baby Harry who has woken up already and is playing with her hair and nose. A smile forms on her lips and she takes Harry in her arms, kissing him repeatedly on the head and nose. Little Harry protests loudly for some fresh air and giggles happily.
"Hello, sweetie," Lily cooed, patting her son on the head. "What are you up to, hmm?"
Baby Harry just looked at her and giggled, ignoring that he was playing with her hair.
James' dreams were now fulfilled; his and Lily's parents had decided to prepare for their marriage in the summer vacation.
After finishing their morning routine, James and Lily went to the dining room with Harry in their arms. Charlus sat in his chair and read the newspaper while Dorea took a small sip of tea. The elves prepared breakfast for them.
"How was my little Harry?" asked Dorea, smiling at them.
In response, Harry stretched his hand out to go to his grandma. "I see someone eager to come to me," Dorea laughed at his antics.
They all sat in their chairs and the elf served food on the table.
After some time, Sirius came to the room looking like he was about to sleep at the foot of the door. "Come on, Padfoot, we're waiting for you," said James.
"Pafoo," said Harry, surprising everyone.
Sirius boomed in excitement and quickly closed the distance between them. "Can you say it one more time?" asked Sirius, every bit of lost sleep forgotten as hope glittered in his eyes.
Harry shook his head from side to side in response. Sirius looked at Harry with puppy dog eyes, and Harry giggled looking at him.
"Please say that again, Prongslet?" Sirius asked.
"Pafoo."
"There you are, Prongslet! My favourite-" he picked up Harry, dancing with a victorious dance. "-godson!" Harry laughed uncontrollably.
"He's your only godchild, Sirius," Lily said matter-of-factly.
"Well, of course, he is, but still my favourite," Sirius tried to match Harry's weird smile.
"He's a quick learner, isn't he?" asked Sirius.
"Yes, he is," replied Charlus, who had set the newspaper on the table.
"Even at this stage, James doesn't say a single word and is always a crybaby," said Dorea, who smiled lovingly at her son.
"No, Mom, please stop. Now I have a baby boy," replied James, who was patted on the head by Sirius, who laughed loudly and said the word "crybaby."
24 December 1977
Come on Lily, just this one more present James whines to his wife as they walk along the snow-covered streets of hogsmeade.
James Potter, you have already bought Harry about 20 presents, including a broom that he will not be able to ride for years, Lily sternly tells her husband, who is dancing around like a child.
"So have we got everyone's present now?" James enquiries.
"Yes I think so," Lily says with a smile.
After that they apparate in the potter manor.
The Next morning
A snowflake lands on his tiny nose and he wiggles his nose, trying to get a glimpse of the thing that tickles him . He sneezes and the flake flies away, Harry's eyes watch it as it flies off.
Potter family and marauders are watching their baby play with snow and happily giggling.
After 3 hours,
"Hey Prongslet," Sirius called out to Harry as he leaned over to pick him up from his playpen.
"Pafoo!" Harry yelled excitedly as he was handed over to his godfather.
"It is time," said Sirius, showing the package to Harry.
"Prongslet's Christmas present," replied Sirius.
"What did Uncle Padfoot get you, Harry?" asked James as he reached for the package.
Harry just clapped his hands and babbled in response. James opened the package and smiled.
"I'm dead," he said, as he pulled out a baby Quidditch set.
"You know she took the broom I brought for Harry and said that he can't ride it for years," James said, referring to Lily's earlier objections.
"Come on James, we are here with a Prongslet, and you can take care of Lily's anger," said Sirius with a grin on his face.
"The bludgers are squishy, so we can throw them at him, and the broom is only about 30 centimetres up," James replied, already excited to try it out.
"He doesn't have the balance to stand on his own yet," Sirius pointed out.
"That's the best part, it has a seat and belt," said Sirius excitedly.
"I gotta see this," said James as he opened the box and took out all the parts. He looked at the baby seat on top of the broom and smiled.
"Come on, Prongslet, let's try this out," Sirius said as he moved to the floor with Harry.
He placed him in the seat and strapped him in. Sirius pointed his wand at the broom and slowly levitated it off the stand. They watched as Harry laughed, enjoying the rocking motion. James picked up the bludger and threw it at Sirius, who caught it and threw it at Harry's leg gently. Harry just giggled, so Sirius did it again.
"Wait till you get hit with a real one, Harry. You won't be giggling then," said James, taking a sip of his beer.
"Shall we release the Snitch?" asked Sirius.
"Sure, why not?"
"Hey, buddy, see this? You gotta catch it, alright?" Harry reached out to catch the Snitch, and the golden object flew around as Harry followed it.
"James, he's a natural flyer," said Sirius excitedly.
"Yup, that's my boy," James replied proudly.
Just then, they heard footsteps approaching.
"James, Sirius," Lily said, her anger apparent in her voice. "I told you Harry is not old enough to fly on a broom, but you don't even listen to me."
"Come on, Lily flower," James said desperately. "Do you see how he's a natural flyer?"
In response, Lily dragged the ears of both Marauders. "Don't even try to do it again," she said sternly, looking at James. "Or you'll sleep outside of the bedroom," she threatened.
"Happy Christmas, Prongslet," James said, trying to diffuse the situation.
Now Harry was giggling happily, unaware of the trouble he had just caused. It was a wholesome moment between the Potter family and the Marauders.
