Chapter 1

The truth will set you free.

It's a cool night in Las Vegas Nevada. And a young woman is trying to hot wire a car. It's one o clock in the morning on November 10th 1981. The young woman's name is Eda Clawthorne. But she is going by the name of Marylin. She has orange hair with a streak of grey and golden yellow eyes. The young woman is in her late 20's and. Is a natural born witch from the Boiling Isles. She came to Las Vegas in the mortal realm. Because she was curious about it. She ended up loving it. Eda enjoyed her time gambling and playing games.

She ended up meeting a man name Josh. The woman fell in love and tonight they had gotten married. Josh made it easy for Eda to forget. That she is a cursed witch from the Boiling Isles. As much as she loves her new husband. She can't stay because she doesn't want to. Forget to take her elixir and turn into the owl beast. And possibly hurt or kill Josh. That and she's afraid to tell him the truth. So she grabbed her things and had gotten into Josh's car. So she doesn't have to hail a cab to get out of town. She wants to get out of town so she. Can use her portal door to go back home.

In the motel room Josh woke up and rolled over. He sat up and looked around. He doesn't see Marylin anywhere. All he sees is the ring that he gave her on her pillow. He quickly got out of bed and got dressed. Then he went outside and looked around. He raised an eyebrow when he saw his car door open. Josh walked closer to his car. Just then he saw a pale led stick out of the car. He went up to his car and looked in. He's surprised to see Marylin messing with his car.

"What the heck do you think you're doing?" asked Josh

Not knowing he was there Josh scared Marylin. Who let out a scream. Then she looked and saw Josh.

"You scared the crap out of me." stated Marylin

"I'll ask again what are you doing?" asked Josh

"I'm trying to get out of town. I can't stay here." replied Marylin

"Why are you trying to leave town and me?" asked Josh

"I'm afraid if I tell you. You might leave me and turn me over to the cops." replied Marylin nervously

"Come on out of there. Let's go back to the room and talk." suggested Josh

Marylin nodded and grabbed a couple of things. Then she and Josh went back into the room. They sat down and Josh asked "What's going on with you? Why are you so scared?"

"For one my name isn't Marylin it's Edalyn Clawthorne. Two I'm not an ordinary woman. I'm a cursed witch from a place called the Boiling Isles." explained Eda

Before Josh could say anything. She showed him a bottle of er elixir. Then she summoned Owlbert and showed him what she can do. Then she said "If I forget to take my elixir. Or if I run out of it. I could turn into the owl beast. When I do I don't know friend from foe. And could hurt or kill you. I don't want that to happen."

"Well if we are being honest here. My name isn't Josh. My real name is Stanley Pines. I used Josh as a cover to keep some not nice people off my trail." confessed Stan

Then he looked at Eda and asked "Is there a way for you to. Go back home and more of you elixir?" Eda nodded and replied "Yes I do I have portal door and key. That I can use to go to the Boiling Isles."

"Well when ever you need to get more elixir. You can use door to go get it. And I'll be here waiting when you get back." assured

"You..you still want to be with me. Now that you know all of this." stated Eda surprised

"Of course I want to be with you. I love you Eda." assured Stan

Overwhelmed Eda hugged and kissed Stan. Stan sighed happily and put the ring back on Eda's finger. Then he yawned and said "Come on let's get some more sleep." The couple laid down and went back to sleep. They didn't wake back up until 10 o clock in the morning. After they got up they had breakfast. Then they packed up and hit the road. A few days later they are in New Mexico. Eda got out her portal door. She needs some more elixir and has to go to the Boiling Isles. Eda gave Stan a hug and a kiss then said "I shouldn't be gone long." Stan kissed Eda and replied "I'll be here when you get back. And I will try to sell some things while you're gone."

Eda smiled and opened the door and went into it. Then the door closed, folded up and, disappeared. Back on the Boiling Isles Eda went to the market place in Bonesborough. She went to Morton's stand and said "Hey Morton I need some more elixir."

"Sure thing Eda coming right up." stated Morton

While Morton got her elixir together Eda turned her mortal money into snails. Just then she heard a familiar voice say "There you are Edalyn." Eda looked and it's her older sister Lilith. Lilith is a member of the Emperor's coven. And has been tasked with trying to capture Eda. Belos has promised Lilith that if she does capture Eda and get her to join the Emperor's coven. That he will cure Eda of her curse. But Eda doesn't buy that for one minute. So she smirked and said "Hi Lilly still loyal to the Emperor I see."

"Then you know why I'm here." stated Lilith

"For the last time I'm not going with you. Heck I don't even live here anymore." informed Eda

"I'm married now and I'm going to live in the mortal realm." informed Eda

"You and your storied Edalyn." quipped Lilith

"Here you go Eda this should last you a while." assured Morton

Eda paid Morton, grabbed the bag, then faced Lilith. She smirked and said "It's been nice but I should be going." Lilith swung her staff and said "You're not going anywhere." Eda put down her bag and decided. To fight Lilith and put her in her place. And hour later Lilith hit the ground. Eda landed next to her but she is standing. The woman looked down at her sister and said "I hope one day you realize how bad Belos is." With that said Eda picked up her bag. She took out a bottle of elixir and drank it. She left the market place and got out her portal door.

Eda went through the door and is back in Mew Mexico. She found Stan and said "I'm back sorry it took me so long. I ran into my older sister. And had to put her in her place." Stan hugged Eda and said "It's all good babe." It is now January 14th 1982 and things aren't going well for Stan and Eda. Stan hasn't sold much lately. Just then the mail came and Stan got a postcard. Stan looked at it and it has Gravity Falls on one side. Then he turned it over and it says PLEASE COME! FORD. Eda saw the postcard also and asked "Should we go?" Stan looked at Eda and replied "He wouldn't write in all caps like that. If it wasn't serious."

With that said Stan and Eda packed up the Stanmobile. First Stan started out driving. Stan has been teaching Eda how to drive. But he doesn't think Eda is ready for the highway yet. So he'll let her drive when they aren't on the highway. Three days later they arrived in Gravity Falls. Stan drove as far up Gopher Road as he could. Then he and Eda bundled up. They each grabbed a bag then headed toward Ford's house. Walking through the snow and the cold. Soon they can see a house in the distance. They walked up to the house and up to the door. Stan knocked on the door.

It opened and Ford's on the other side. He has a cross bow and looks like a mad man. Eda is watching carefully just in case she has to step in. Once Ford knew it was Stan he looked at Eda.

"Stan who is this?" asked Stanford

"This is my wife Eda." replied Stan

Stanford nodded and let them in. he lead them into his home. And Stan commented that Ford is. Acting like their mother after 10th cup of coffee.

"I hate to be a bother but. It's been a while since our last pit stop. That it was a long walk up here. This girl needs to use a bathroom." stated Eda

Stanford showed Eda to the bathroom. Then he went back to talk to Stanley.
