I watched as the few clouds that were shaped like fluffy pillows moved across the blue sky, trying to soak up the last bit of sunshine I would probably feel on my skin for a long while, I glanced to see Bella fiddling with the hem of her shirt also glancing out of the window, I glanced to the front of the car and saw that Phil and my mom were talking between themselves probably about the upcoming baseball season, my music was playing softly through the new earphones my mom and Phil had bought me as sort of a going away present, Forks, a small but picturesque town that was on the Olympic Peninsula of northwest Washing State, I had always loved ever since I was a small child and loved spending my summers there, Bella was a completely different story, she distasted the place often calling it the most gloomy, boring town that ever existed, she was convinced that it rained more in Forks then any other town in the whole of America, our dad Charlie was a lot like me in a way and wouldn't leave the town for anything, only finally leaving three years ago when Bella finally put her foot down and refused to spend her summers there, since then Charlie had made the trip down to Phoenix for a two week period ever summer break, I felt a nudge on my arm causing me to break out of my day dreaming, I quickly pulled off my headphones,

"you were away with the fairies then, I was saying to Bella are the two of you sure about this, you don't have to, I don't have to travel with Phil" my mom said glancing between the both of us, Mom hated the town of Forks just as much as Bella and has often said she didn't want to go back ever after she escaped the town when me and Bella were only a couple of months old, they both longed for the sun and the blistering heat in the vigorous city whereas I loved a simple and quite relaxed atmosphere, I knew that the question was more aimed at Bella than myself as I was the one who suggested moving in with dad so mom could travel with Phil,

"I want to go" Bella said from my right hand side, the obvious lie fell through her lips, I often wondered if she thought the more times she said it the more she would actually start to believe it herself,

"Liliana?" my mom asked as she turned her head to try and see me a little more,

"honestly? I can't wait, I love Forks and dad and I can't wait to spend more time with him" I said honestly, mom sighed,

"I don't know what you see in that little town" my mom commented,

"me neither" I heard Bella mutter under her breathe, I smiled a little knowing I would never convince them of the natural beauty Forks held.

"well tell Charlie I said hi" mom said as she fussed over myself and Bella as we stood by the check in desk waiting for Phil to finish checking our bags in,

"we will" I said smiling grabbing my backpack off the floor and putting in over my shoulder,

"I'll see you both soon, you can both come home whenever you want, I'll come right back whenever you need me" mom insisted as she played with her necklace Bella and I had put together for last Christmas,

"mom don't worry, we will be fine, love you mom" Bella said before hugging her, mom seemed to hug her even tighter not wanting to let go, I quickly gave mom and Phil a hug before me and Bella disappeared through the gate towards the start of our new Life.

The journey overall would take around six hours; a four hour flight the Seattle, another hour plane journey to Port Angeles and then a hour long car ride with dad before reaching the small town of Forks.

I knew Bella was more worried about the car journey than any other leg of the journey, both dad and Bella were not what anyone would call Verbose, I always found conversation with my dad easy and simple, Bella and dad were complete opposites with Bella taking after our sun loving mom.

Bella had been the one to speak to Charlie about us moving up there, from what I had heard he had been rather surprised about the sudden decision from Bella as she hadn't made her distaste of Forks a secret, but I knew he was happy and genuinely pleased and he already told me he had us both registered at the local high school and was trying to source a car for us to get about with so we didn't have to rely of dad.

I pulled my coat a little bit further around my body trying the escape the rain and cold weather that hit us as soon as we landed in Port Angeles, I wasn't surprised by the weather but it would take a bit of getting used to again, dad was waiting by his signature blue and white cruiser, his third baby as he liked to call it, being the chief of Police in the small town of Forks was something Charlie was immensely proud of and another thing Bella distasted, she hated driving around in the cruiser she hated all the attention that it brought.

Charlie greeted Bella first when we reached the cruiser by giving her a awkward one armed hug, and muttering

"It's good to see you Bella, you haven't changed a bit" Charlie said as he then threw the suitcases in the truck of the cruiser,

"it's good to see you dad" I found it weird hearing Bella refer the Charlie as dad as she always called him Charlie when he wasn't around whereas to me he was just dad,

"Hey Liliana, I'm so glad you back kid" he said hugging me, I almost melted into his arms, missing the familiar feeling of them,

"it's great to see you too dad, I can't wait to get back to the house" I said grinning, we quickly loaded ourselves and the rest of the bags into the car before setting off, I journey was almost uncomfortable as I was in the back and the silence coming from the front was so thick a knife would be able to slice it in two,

"I found a good car for you two, really cheap" Charlie said trying the break the silence, I knew immediately Bella would be questioning what he meant ny 'good care for you two' instead of just saying 'good car'

"really? What sort?" I asked smiling trying to not make Bellas hesitance so much of a big deal,

"well, it's a truck actually, a chevy" Charlie said, I grinned I had always loved trucks to cars, another thing myself and my twin differed on,

"where did you find it?" Bella asked,

"do you remember Billy Black down at La Push?" dad asked us,

"no" Bella replied at the same time I answered,

"yep of course" I said frowning a Bella a bit, Charlie gave a small smile through the wing mirror,

"he used to go fishing with us in the summer" Charlie tried explain to Bella, I saw he give a little nod,

"well he's having to use a wheelchair now, so can't drive so offered his truck at a really good price" Charlie went onto explain,

"oh right, what year is it" Bella asked, I saw dads face fall a bit,

"well, Billy's done a lot of work on the engine" dad said trying to avoid giving an answer,

"when did he buy it?" Bella asked again, I hate when she gets like this,

"bought it in 1984, I think" dad finally giving Bella the answer I saw he nod a little,

"we could have found one ourselves Cha...dad" Bella said bluntly, I knew she didn't mean any harm but I still frowned at her,

"I don't mind, I want you both to be happy here" dad said looking ahead on the road,

"I can't wait to see dad, thanks" I said grinning, I saw a genuine smile come across dads face through the mirror,

"That's really nice, Dad. Thanks. I really appreciate it." Bella responded finally.

"Well, now, you're welcome," he mumbled, embarrassed by Bellas thanks.

We all exchanged a few more comments mostly on the weather, which was wet, and that was pretty much it for Conversation as we travelled home.

Eventually we made it dads home, he still lived in the small, three-bedroom house that he'd bought with my mom in the early days of their marriage, I grinned as memories flashed before my eyes, I saw the new truck sat on the driveway, it was a faded red colour, with big, rounded fenders and a bulbous cab, I loved it, It was the perfect car for me

"Wow, Dad, I love the track, thanks" I said as I quickly jumped out of car as soon as he pulled up,

"it's great dad, thanks" Bella said from behind me, I thought she was just happy she didn't have to walk two miles in the rain to school or accept a ride in the Chief's cruiser.

"I'm glad you like it," Charlie said smiling, clearly embarrassed again from not usually getting praised by his daughters.

I brought all my things up to the attic room and placed them all on the bed before grinning as I looked around, the familiar walls made me feel like I was home already, the wooden door the led down the second floor landing, the light grey walls filled with pictures from my childhood still hung in their familiar places, I smiled as I quickly started to put my things away, dad somewhere downstairs, Charlie was never a hoverer and left myself and Bella to mostly ourselves, my dad had left a couple of books out on the desk, our enrolment packs for tomorrow, Forks high school, was going to be very different from our last school, the most obvious being with the addition to me and Bella tomorrow the school only had three hundred and fifty nine students in total, this was smaller than just the junior class at our old school, I loved the thought of the small community; all of the kids here had grown up together, their parents all friends and their grandparents before them, I was suited to a small town, although I knew Bella would have a hard time adjusting.

Bella didn't relate well to people our age. The truth being that she didn't relate well to people, period, even our mother, who she was closer to than anyone else on the planet, was never in harmony with her, never on exactly the same page.

I was the opposite, I loved people, I was always the social twin, I would talk to anyone about anything, my dad was my rock even though him and Bella were the complete same person in this aspect I loved them both with everything I had and would always protect them; no matter what.

When I finished putting away all my clothes into the new pine dresser, I took my bag of bathroom necessities and went to the bathroom to clean myself up after the day of travel and get myself ready for bed, I paused a Bella walked past me she looked miserable, and I found myself hoping she found something here in Forks that would turn her life around and made her enjoy the simple town life that I enjoyed.

Breakfast the next morning was a quiet event, Charlie had wished me and Bella good luck at school before leaving for work.

After he left, me and Bella sat at the old square oak table in one of the three unmatching chairs I saw her examining the small kitchen, with its dark panelled walls, bright yellow cabinets, and white linoleum floor, I love that nothing had changed, the same row of pictures sat on the side table near the door, First a wedding picture of Charlie and my mom in Las Vegas, then one of the

four of us in the hospital just after we was born, taken by a helpful nurse I found out when I asked my dad about it when I was younger, Charlie loved a good family photo and there was a selection all way throughout the house from our childhood up to last year's school pictures,

"You okay Bella?" I asked as I saw her frown,

"do you think he might move them?" she asked glancing at the photos, I laughed Bella hated photos especially of herself,

"not a chance in the world" I said grinning, she frowned,

"well we better get this over with" she mumbled grabbing her coat off the chair, I laughed and grabbed mine and a slice of toast that was still uneaten before heading out into the rain,

It was just drizzling still, not enough to soak us through immediately as I quickly reached for the house key that was always hidden under the rocks by the door, and locked up.

I couldn't pause and admire our new truck again as I wanted; I could tell Bella was in a hurry to get out of the misty wet weather, I let her take the driver's seat, inside the truck, it was nice, either Billy or Charlie had obviously cleaned it up, but the tan upholstered seats still smelled faintly of tobacco, gasoline, and peppermint, a perfect mixture of my dad and Billy.

The engine started quickly, much to Bellas relief, I quickly turned the antique radio on choosing a local station and laughed as Bella frowned again.
