chance woke up in the middle of the night screaming and soaked in sweat blaine came running down the hall into her room.
''chance whats wrong are you ok?'' he asked her worried she was hurt.
she looked at him and started sobbing while apoligizing over and over ''im sorry, im sorry, i didnt mean to wake you." she said in between sobs.
blaine walked over to her and tried to hold her close to show her she was safe but all that did was cause her to cower farther onto the bed blaine just sat there and listened to her cry feeling so helpless all he wanted to do was help her and let he know she was loved so he decided to say something.
''chance...im not mad at you for waking me up i just want to make sure you are ok...i know your scared of me but im never going to hurt you i promise i know people have hurt you in the past and its hard for you to trust me but i promise from the bottom of my heart i will not hurt you.'' he stopped talking and looked at her she had stopped sobbing and was just looking down at her hands with silent tears rolling down her cheeks ''would you like me to sing to you so you can fall back to sleep?" blaine asked not expecting an answer from her but when he looked at her she was nodding for him to sing blaine started to sing a song he hoped would make her happy so he decided to go with a disney song ;all kids like disney; he thought to himself he started singing part of your world from the littler mermaid she fell asleep with in a minute blaine layed her on the pillow,tucked her in then went back to bed.
the next morning blaine woke to his phone ringing it was a monday and he had work it was probably kurt calling to make sure he wasnt late.
kurt was one of blaine's best friends and blaine just happened to be in love with him but he didnt know how kurt felt towards him so he never said anything to him about it.
he answered the phone''hello''
''hi are you up if not get up because you are going to be late for work''kurt answered ''well im up now but i dont know if i can come into work today.'' blaine answered not knowing what to do with chance he couldnt just leave her with a baby sitter at least not yet but he did have a job to get to.
''what do you mean you might not be able to come in we have to rehearse for the show its in 1 month blaine you cant miss any rehearsals.'' kurt half yelled through the phone blaine and kurt lived in new york and were in a broadway musical together this is not how they met however they met in highschool and have been friends ever since but they went to two different colleges.
now that they were in the show together kurt has been making sure blaine gets there on time.
but blaine didnt tell kurt he was adopting a child.
''umm can you call and ask mike if he can cancel rehearsal today please and ill explain why later?'' blaine asked planning on telling kurt tonight over dinner or something.
''ugh blaine your lucky i dont hate you hold on ill call you right back after i talk to mike.'' kurt said right before he hung up to call mike their director.
10 min later blaine got a call from kurt.
before blaine could even say hello kurt was talking''ok explain why you couldnt have rehearsal today.''
''how about you come over tonight around 4 o clock and i will explain everything?'' blaine asked not willing to tell kurt this important fact over the phone.
''ugh fine but you better have dinner for me'' kurt said jokingly ''of course ill have dinner, are you ok with take out you know i cant cook.'' blaine asked ''yeah take outs fine how about that chinese food place we both love?'' kurt said ''of course sounds good see you at four''blaine said before he hung up.
