It had been a busy week at the lab and everyone for once was kind of glad since it was near the anniversary of eric death and for calleigh those moment leading to it were the worst ,she had been overworking herself has usual when horatio came to check on her in the ballistic lab .he found her helping the night shift on a case even if they didnt need it but no one would have ever told calleigh duquesnes she was in the way .
HOR: ma'am he said standing behind her both hands on his waist .
Calleigh didnt lift her head from her desk she kept writting her report and said .
C: im almost done horatio you'll get your report in a few minutes .
Horatio had enough this was one to many times ,the bags under her eyes ,her tiny frail body barely holding together but what would mostly get Horatio was the pian in her voices each time she spoke ,the once cheerfull tiny voices was replaced by a broken and aggonising took the pen from her hands and that was the moment she chosed to look up at him .
CAL: Horatio?
The questionning look she gave him irritated Horatio even more .
HOR: GO Home .
CAL: I still have work to do Horatio .
HOR: Your doing the night shift work Calleigh ...go home ..thats an order.
Snatching the pen from his hand Calleigh went back to her reports and simply said.
CAL: You cant order me to go home Horatio.
HOR: Calleigh !
Horatio voices sounded irritated and when she stopped writting but didnt looked up he said .
HOR: Staying here wont help Calleigh .
CAL: PLease Horatio...i cant ..i cant go home today .
Sighting horatio look away then back at her .
HOR: Just make sure you eat something ok ,you look pale .
Calleigh didnt say anything working on her report ,Horatio once more sighted before turning to walk away once at the door of the ballistic lab he turned back to look at his dear friend .At that moment he wonder if he had been rigth 3 years ago ,if he had made the wrong choice .
Walking pass the ballistic lab ready to leave for the day Natalia saw the only worried look horatio reserved for calleigh ,sure he worried about of his team menber but that one that single one was only reserved for Calleigh natalia had notice it first hand when Eric had been identified ,Natalia didnt know but at that moment Horatio too had changed ,something was eating him inside ever since eric death ,something she wasnt sure she wanted to know .She stopped behind Horatio they both look at an clearly exhausted Calleigh .
NAT: She wont go home again huh ?
HOR: No ..im not even sure shes been home all week ,i saw an overnight bag in her car .
NAT:It' s always hard for her when the anniversary of his death comes up she refused to go home she said there too many memories of him back home, i suggested she moved to a new place but she looked at me like i had suggested she got rid of her first born so i didnt push it .
HOR: I dont know what to do if she keep going like that ,i wont have a choice but to recommend she be put on a leave of absence .
NAT: It will kill her .
HOR: We need to do something before she kills herself into her work.
NAT: Want me to try .
HOR: Be my guest .
Horatio watch Natalia carefully stepping into the balistic lab ,Calleigh was so busy with her report to notice Natalia was standing in front of her . Behind Calleigh Jason the night shift ballistic expert gave Natalia a sad smile to many times he had seen Calleigh stay late to help him and even when he didnt help he let her .Jason had came into the lab shortly after Eric death and when he met calleigh he was stricken by how so much sadness could be in the eyes of a beautifull girl like her .He never ask why she was like this which Calleigh appreciated but shortly after settling into the lab Jason had learn of the death of Eric and Calleigh involvement .Jason who had lost his family when he was very young understood what she was going through but has the years went by he was more and more sadden to see a brilliant girl like Calleigh waste all of her free time in a dark lab .But never did jason say anything letting her work by his side quietly .
He nodded to Natalia who cleared her throat so that Calleigh would look up at her . Too absorb to notice her Calleigh kept writting and writting like her life depended on it.
JAS: Hey Natalia ,your done for the day ...he said loud enough so that Calleigh would hear .
Calleigh quickly look up smilling a tiny smile that was barely noticeable .
NAT: yeah jason im done for the day and i was hoping Calleigh would join me im taking Joey to that park he likes so much the one with the big slide and then were going to have take out im sure Joey would like you to be there .
CAL: No sorry maybe another time .
NAT: You always say another time ,Joey been asking about your godson Calleigh .
Joey was always a weakness for Calleigh when ever Natalia would mention the little boy ,Calleigh would stop whatever she was doing for him .He was the only person rigth now that could get through her .But lately things were different Calleigh had been shutting down more then usual ,talking only when it was necessary and everyone had notice how much weight she had lost ,becoming frailed and on the verge of falling off the cliff .
CAL: Tell Joey im busy .
NAT: You tell him yourself you look at him in the eye and tell him im sorry Joey your aunt calleigh too busy to hang out with you .
Sighting Calleigh ignored Natalia plea and went back to her report she didnt have the strentgh to argue nor did she want to .
Jason shook his head from side to side he supported Natalia attempt to help her friend but he knew that each time any of them tried it would end up in failure .
NAT: calleigh i know that when this time of year come its always difficult for you but ..
CAL : dont ..she interupted throwing her pen on the table and raising her finger in the air at Natalia ...dont tell me everything will be alright just dont ok not today not any day im tired of beeing patronised ok this is my life and im living it the way i want to .
Angry by her reaction Natalia stepped closer to the table and angryly said.
NAT: Fine Calleigh you do what you keep sulking in your corner ,but let me tell you something ,is this the life eric would have wanted for you .
With that calleigh snapped pushing down ont he floor the stool she was sitting on she crossed the table to be face to face with Natalia ,it wasnt the reaction she was hoping for but at least she was reacting to something .But the question was did Calleigh had the strenght to argue about anything ,Natalia couldnt remenber the last time Calleigh had let her opinion known .
NAT: what is it Calleigh huh the truth hurt isnt it ,if it does tell me yell hit me if you have too just do someting for god sake ,be the calleigh we all know .
Calleigh looked down at the ground, she just didnt care anymore what anybody thought of her .
CAL: You can think what ever you want Nat i dont really care .
Calleigh crossed back the table sitting down and once again writting her report ,Natalia and jason watch in disbelief shaking their heads at her ,mostly out of dissapoitnement more then anything else .
NAT: Well if you changed your mind just give me a call im sure Joey would be really happy to see you .
Calleigh totally ignored Natalia concentrating on her report , giving up Natalia turned back toward the door to go on with her day .
Jason watch her leaves while calleigh couldnt care less about what was going on around her .
JASON : You know Calleigh i can handle these report if you want to go see Natalia little boy .
Calleigh didnt answer him back only shrugging her shoulder jason went on with his daily work testing one of the firearms recovered at a crime scene .
Natalia gave up and left the precint to get her son at her mother house ,while she walk to her car she saw ryan beeign pick up by his girlfriend Jasmine .He gave her a passionante kiss wrapping his arm around her , one that nearly made Natalia puke and rolling her eyes ,jasmine barely responded holding his forearm and looking away when ryan pulled away grinning she smiled quickly and fiddled through her purse to fix her lipstick .
RYAN: How was your day beautifull.
JAS: Fine fine ..are you ready to go .
`Jasmine walked in front of ryan quickly searching for her keys in her purse .
Natalia whos car was park near watch Jasmine ignoring Ryan once again a scene she had seen to many times before .
RYAN : hey Natalia ,your done for the day too ...he waved form his car a few row away .
NAT : yeah i have to go get Joey from my mom house ,its tupperware night with her friends tonight .
RYAN : ahh well say hello to my little monkey .
NAT: I will she said laughing to ryan nickname for her son...Hey jasmine how you doing she said politly , Ryan told me that las week you went to Australia , thats pretty cool .
JAS: yeah whatever , thats what we do us flight attendant we travel she said sarcastly at Natalia.
Jasmine rolled her eyes at natalia before getting in the car ,ryan mouthed to Natalia he was sorry about her behavior and got in the car after her .
RYAN : do you always have to be so bitchy around her .
JAS: Like i care what she think about me i already know she hates me .
RYAN : Natalia doesnt hate you ?
JAS: sure she do
RYAN:Maybe if you were nicer to her she wouldnt .
JAS: thats not why she hates me .she hates me because your with me and not with her .
RYAN: Thats the most ridiculous thing i have ever heard ,how many times do i have to tell you that were just friend .
JAS:Maybe for your part . but her i seen the way she looks at you .
RYAN : Ok stop it right there Jasmine we are not having this conversation again is that clear .
JAS: Fine just drive me to the airport .
RYAN : WHAT? your supposed to have the weekend with me ,
JAS: Well that changed, they need me for a flight to hong kong .
RYAN : and when will you be back exactly .
JAS: Not sure maybe next week .
RYAN: NEXT WEEK... god jasmine you've been gone a week already .
JAS: So ..it's my job ryan ..i dont complain when you come home alter after a long shift .
RYAN: you dont complain because your never there .
JAS: yeah like you really miss me when im not there ,all your free time you spend it with her and her stupid son .
RYAN: DONT YOU CALL JOEY STUPID OK..NEVER NEVER DO THAT AGAIN .
Ryan angryly pointed his finger at her ,he wasnt the kind of man that yelled at woman but lately jasmine had been getting under his skin ,her jealousy toward Natalia and Joey was always a sore subject for them .
JAS: YOU KNOW WHAT JUST DRIVE ME TO THE DAMM AIRPORT .
Jasmine put on her sunglasses rested her head against the head rest and remained quiet while ryan while ryan started the they drove in silence Ryan really wonder where the sweet ,loving and funny girl he had fallen in love with had gone ,he still loved her that he was sure off but lately Jasmine had turn into a bitter ,work obcessive , angry woman .
Pulling the car into the curb ,ryan put the car on park ,Jasmine gather her things and has she was about to open the door ryan gently grabed her arm he didnt want to go beeing angry at him .
RYAN: Hey i love you ,you know that right .
Barely looking at him Jasmine open the car door and said .
JAS: Yeah what ever .
Ryan let go of her arm and jasmine step out of the car .Ryan step out of the car one leg still inside the car and said .
RYAN: Just be carefull ok and call me when you get back i'll pick you up .
Jasmine made her way toward the door and without turning toward ryan she said .
JAS: Dont i'll take a cab .
Ryan watch sadden jasmine meeting up with a group of people ,among them a few he had met at her christmas party last year .One of them was Brad a pilot that Jasmine would often work with ,ryan notice the long hug they gave each other,the lingering look ,the long smile and that Brad picked up her carry on bag .Ryan wasnt stupid he was a csi he knew that when it came to these 2 it was more then meet the eye and she had the audacity to accuse him of cheating on her .Ryan sat back into his car resting his elbow on the window and his head in the palm of his head .he watched them until they were out of sight .,Ryan slowly pulled out of the curb driving once again to an empty house .
For the god only knows time Calleigh went to fetch herself another cup of coffee today ,feeling slightly dizy she sat down on the break room couch resting her head back for second she closed her she was resting but that was short lived awaken by a familair voices.

Opening her eyes she was met with deep brown caring eyes and a teasing smile .Laying next to her his hand resting on her hips .
CAL: Ok first i do not snore and second i had the weirdest dream .
'' what was it ''
Blinking her eyes adjusting to the light in the bedroom .She looked up at the man who had been sharing her bed lately .
CAL: i dont want to talk about it what time is it .
'' time to get up ,we dont want to be late again ''
Calleigh grinned from ear to ear she rolled herself onto him .
CAL: Last time it as your fault we got late .
he smiled wickedly rolling her on her back once again his knees between her legs .
''i cant help it if i cant resist you ''
CAL: want to be late again ?
''oh yeah ''
He kissed down her neck on that sweet spot that always made her shiver ,she loved the feel of his hands on her so tender and so loving knowing just the way he knew how to make her body react to it .
he grab a fist of the elm of her t-shirt , his t-shirt she had conveniently stolen ever since their frist night together .
'' i love when you wear my shirt , but i love even more when you got nothing on ''
Giggling she helped him take it off ,when she met his eyes once again she blushed at the gazed he gave her ,he looked at her like the first time the had made loved at first it kind of scared her by the amount of loved that came out of them but she had grown accustomed to it and now she coudlnt get enough .
'' so what will be our excuse today''
CAL: huh ..car problem she giggled just has he leaned down to nibbled at the hollow between her breast .
Chuckling agaisnt her skin he looked up and said .
'' we used that last week ''
CAL: broken alarmmmm she moaned just has he hit another sweet spot .
'' used that yesterday ''
Calleigh arched her back holding his head rigth where she needed him right now she couldnt care less about excuses .His hands his mouth his biceps twitching under her touch she wanted to enjoy all of him .
His thumbs hook each sides of her boyshorts lifting her hipos to help him he wasted no time into taking them off discarding them god knows where in the bedroom .His hands stroke up her claves to her thighs and back down drawing out little gossebumps along the way .
'' god i have never seen anyone as beautifull has you ''
CAL: I bet you say that to all the girls she said giggling and blushing .
His hands stop moving but his thumbs kept the circular pattern that drove her crazy ,smilling down at her that so childish smiled she loved he try to express with his eyes what she wasnt ready to hear yet .But she felt she felt his love or her with every little smile ,every little gesture or touch anything he would do in her presence and even sometimes when she wasnt there would show his love for ,he was crazy about her and she knew it which drove her crazy too.
griping his tank top she pulled him down on top of her he fell chuckling at her holding himself by his hand next to hear head he rubbed his nose to hers .Leaning forward she capture his lips in a passionnate and crushing kiss ,silently letting him know that she felt all those things he felt for her .She squeezed his bottom and with a speed and force that always surprised him she flipped them over ,sitting on his laps she bunched his tank top above his belly button and nibbled around it ,when she lifted her eyes her lips never leaving his warm skin ,his eyes were shut and his mouth slightly open ,she smiled agaisnt his skin when his breath itched .
When she moved up nibbling at his skin ,she felt his lungs take a deep breath in ,sliping her hand under his tank top she loved to feel the muscle of his pecs ,when she felt agasint her hand something wet and warm,she quickly pulled her hand out only to see it stain with red ,lifting his tank top higher she saw more blood pouring down a wound that appeared out of nowhere .
CAL: ERICCC ...she cried out appllying pressure to the wound .the more she apply pressured the more blood came out and soon both her hands and his shirt were stained with blood .
Looking up at him he remained quiet staring at the ceilling above him struggling to breath he took deep and ragged breath .
CAL: ERIC...PLEASE BABY STAY WITH ME PLEASE... she pleaded and pleaded but when his hand fell from her thigh to the bed lifeless ,her tears poured down her cheek .She watched him struggle to keep his eyes open .With a faint voices he tried to speak.
CAL: ERIC ..

CAL: ERIC ...ERIC... STAY WITH ME ... DONT LEAVE ME .
She watch with her teary eyes the bed sheets beginning to be cover in blood soon the white linens were nothing but bloody .
CAL: YOU CANT GO ...YOU HEAR ME YOU CANT LEAVE ME ...I LOVE YOU PLEASE ...PLEASE .. she pleaded once more .
watching his brown chocolate eyes dissapearing behind his eyelid she wanted him to reopen them but he didnt his breathing slow down to a point where she couldnt feel him breath anymore .Frantic she apply more pressure drawing out more blood .
CAL: eric please open your eyes pleassssse .
''Calleigh your...'''
CAL: Eric ..she said one more time watching his lungs take one last breath .
'' Calleigh ...your sleeping ''
Feeling a hand on her shoulder Calleigh jerked awake from her dream or nightmare for her ,Frank hover above her, his hand still on her shoulder ,her head resting on the couch armrest . Back to reality .back to no eric. where she didnt have his smile his laugh his gentles hands his touch and mostly his love .
FRANK: You were sleeeping again Calleigh.
Frank released her shoulder and took a step back a files in his hands he looked nervous , it wasnt the first time he found her like this ,usually he would let her sleep , but sometimes she would scream his name in her sleep and thats when he would step in .He knew she would be cranky when he did but Frank was tough and he could take which is why most people in the lab would volunteer him to wake her .
getting into a sitting position calleigh figured out her bearing ,she recognised the break room and frank looking at her .Moving her hair away from her face she looked down on the floor and then lifted herself from the couch ,feeling nausea and her head turning she stumbled back down on the couch with Frank catching her around the elbow .
FRANK: You ok there sweet heart .
Holding on to her frank could only notice her skinny bone structure ,only skin and bones ,with his other hand he help her back down ,Sittign back down Calleigh held her head between her hands stuggling to stop the room from spinning around , frank went to get her a bottle of water and by the time he came back calleigh was quietly sobbing in her hands .Looking around for help but finding none ,right now frank would rather prefer being with his annoying ex-wife then to see a woman cry ,frank akwardly tap her shoulder and said.
FRANK: there there Calleigh come on ,it's ok
Ashamed of showing weakness Calleigh quickly wiped her tears before standing up in front of frank who handed her a bottle of water .She straighten her shirt before refusing the bottle of water with her hand up.
CAL: is there anything i can do for you frank she said in a very cold tone .
FRANK: Huh ...no ..not really Calleigh .
Calleigh took a step to pass by him but frank once again caught her arm gently .
FRANK: Maybe you should go home calleigh .
Nudging her arm away calleigh said.
CAL: I still have works to do Frank .
FRANK:Fine ...am going to the diner across the street you want anything you look like you could use something to eat .
CAL: No she said barely looking at him .
With his hand on his hips Frank watch calleigh walked away slolwy and frailed .In the hallway calleigh had to stop herslef leaning with one arm agaisnt the wall her head spinning once once more she took a deep breath composed herself and went back to work .Back to reality back to a world without her soulmate but mostly back to a world she hated .
