He liked to think it was just an errant flashback. Nothing he hadn't dealt with before. He also liked to think that he was dealing with it. But of course, he knew both of those thoughts were lies. Steve struggles to come to terms with past scars when a case drags up bad past memories, and the results threaten the safety of those around him. Danny worries. T for violence, language.

13. AN: okay, sequel

Okay, so it looks like I'm gonna have to start cranking out that sequel :)

for those of you who were worried, though, it will not be a mcdanno story (it was a 3 to 1 vote, don't look at me)
