Thank you guys for reading chapter 9 of The Story of Jinjing 2
We're about to come to an end of The Story of Jinjing 2.
Announcement: Kung Fu Panda 4 will be about Po will now be deciding who will be the next Dragon Warrior, as he's receiving his own promotion as the highest master of the Valley of Peace. In planning his succession, Po meets a female Fox warrior named Chen. They don't get along at first but must learn how to put their differences aside in order to travel into the city for the first time ever and face the Chameleon, a sorceress who can summon every single villain from past films back from the dead. Po and the next Dragon Warrior to be must face every single one of the franchise's big baddies in order to defeat the Chameleon, who's the most powerful of them all.
When I first heard about this, I was like, "No way, they're bringing back Tai Lung, Lord Shen, and Kai the Collector. Why?"
Don't worry, I'm still going to write FanFiction stories when I got the time.
Here's chapter 10
Chapter 10
Outside of the Firework Factory, Jinjing stealthily approached the factory. She sees two wolf soldiers and knocks them both out. Jinjing sneaks along the walkway and enters the factory without being spotted. She hears someone coming, so she hides behind the barrel.
"Did you hear him call it the year of the 'peacock'…" Boss Wolf mutters to himself.
Jinjing thought. Is he having second thoughts about the year of the peacock?
The female red panda crawls inside through the window. She finds herself on a walkway high over the metal vat and the conveyer belts transporting metal into it. She heard something coming from the window, getting ready to fight the intruder and realizes it was Po.
"Po, you came!" Jinjing whispers.
"Of course, I came, now let's go," Po whispers back.
They sneak across the walkway and spots a peacock-shaped silhouette in the smoke on the other side of the large room.
"Move, you dogs! Faster, faster! Load them all!" Lord Shen ordered.
They climb up a ladder and roll across another walkway. They reach other end and…
"Greetings, panda and his little friend!"
Jinjing gasps in horror. Shen emerges from the smoke on a walkway just above Po and Jinjing. Po spots the emblem on his tail feathers again and shields his eyes, barely resisting another flashback.
"Tell me what happened that night!" Po demanded.
"What night?" Shen asked mockingly.
"That night! The night that Po's talking about!" Jinjing yelled.
"Ahhh… that night,"
"Yes! We're talking about the same night, right?" Po questioned.
"Yes, I was there. Yes, I watched as your parents abandoned you. It's a terrible thing. I believe it went something like this!" Shen said as he cuts a chain and a suspended bucket swings into Po and Jinjing, sending them dangling over the floor far below. Po grabs Jinjing's hand.
"Jinjing, hold on!" Po said.
"Okay," Jinjing said, scared for Po's and her life.
Meanwhile, the doors busted opened, revealing the Five pushing a large cart full of gunpowder kegs towards the building. Viper tosses Monkey a lantern, who smashes it over the kegs as they burst through the entrance. Tigress shoves the cart into the middle of the room, where it topples over and spills flaming kegs. The wolves back away.
"Here's your new year's gift!" Monkey said.
"Hope you like it, 'cause you can't return it!" Mantis added.
The Five turns to leave… then Po and Jinjing yells are overheard and Tigress rushes back to the building, spotting the panda swinging the bucket, with her cousin still holding on to his paw.
"Oh, no! Jinjing! Po?! What are they doing here?" Tigress asked.
The Five looked from Po and Jinjing to the flaming kegs.
"Return it! Return it!" Monkey cried out.
The Five leap forward and douse all the kegs… and are immediately swarmed by a mass army of wolves. Up above, Shen walks casually along the walkway as Po struggles with the bucket while holding to Jinjing and they eventually manages to climb back on solid ground.
"Are you okay?" Po asked.
"I'm fine, thank you," Jinjing responded.
"You're welcome,"
"Are you willing to die to find the truth?" Shen questions Po.
"You bet I am… though I prefer not to," Po answers before he leaps at Shen, who grabs his foot and flings the panda off the walkway.
"You're going to pay for this!" Jinjing yelled as she fights the peacock. Then, Shen holds the female red panda at knife point, using his sword. Shen grins with satisfaction, seeing no sign of the panda.
"You're a monster!" Jinjing shouted.
"Looking for me?" Po asked.
Jinjing gasps happily. Shen whirls around, with the female red panda still held at knife point… but Po is nowhere to be seen. Shen and Jinjing stares, waiting… and Po eventually emerges, riding on the large gear moving the belt.
"Er… I said that too soon, didn't I?" Po asks.
"Yeah," Jinjing says as she elbows Shen, causing him to drop his sword and Jinjing picks it up. Po leaps at Shen, who evades and jumps up to a higher walkway. Po and Jinjing tried to follow, but several wolves attack and pile on the duo.
"Po! Jinjing!" Tigress yelled. She kicks an attacking wolf towards the pile up. The wolf flies into the wolves on top of Po and Jinjing and knock them off, freeing them; they quickly get up and climb up the scaffolding after Shen.
"Po, Jinjing, get away from him!" Tigress yelled as the gorilla grabs her from behind. Po and Jinjing reaches Shen's walkway. The peacock attempts to evade again… but Jinjing stops him in his tracks by flinging the fork and pinning his neck to a large wooden box.
"You're not going anywhere," Jinjing said as she approaches him.
"Yeah, no more running, Shen!" Po added.
"So it seems," the peacock says as he removes the fork and rubs his throat.
"Now… answers!"
"Oh, you want to know so badly? You think knowing will heal you, huh? Fill some… crater in your soul. Well here's your answer… your parents didn't love you,"
Po is stricken.
"He's lying, Po! Don't listen to that peacock! He's just trying to bring you down. I'm going to lead you to the path that rocks," Jinjing says.
"Oh, come off it!"
"You come off it!"
"You!"
"You!"
"You infinity, [1]"
Shen glares at Jinjing.
"But here… let me heal you," Shen leaps backwards on top of the box… which opens up to reveal a cannon three times the size of the original aiming straight at Po and Jinjing.
They gasp, unable to move.
"Jinjing, you must go now!" Po yelled.
"I won't leave you! [2]" Jinjing stubbornly said. Shen grins evilly as he lights the fuse. The dragon shaped cannon seems to growl as it fires. Po is barely able to place the wok in front of himself and the female red panda before the flaming cannonball hits. Jinjing screams.
"NOOO!" Tigress cries. She's knocked off of her feet as Po and Jinjing fly past her. Down below, the Five look up just in time to see Po being blasted out of the factory, while Jinjing crashes into the wall, causing her to black out. Po flies over the city and crashes into the river in the distance…
At the same time, Shifu is jolted out his meditation as thunder rumbles outside the Dragon Grotto. He topples off the staff, stricken by whatever he has felt. He gets to his feet and gazes at the thunderstorm outside. Something terrible has happened.
NO! PO! JINJING!
Author's Note 1: This is a reference to the scene from The Emperor's New Groove (2000), which is available to watch on Disney Plus. The movie came out when I was 9 months old. I love this movie so much!
