A/N shorter chapter here. I think there's only the epilogue left to write and that's it for the story. Thanks for reading! Cheers

Bo can still hear Din laughing under his helmet as they walk down the ramp towards his little house. She caved and told him what the Duchess had said that made Bo's face so red as they were leaving Plazir-15. They all walk into the house and Din removes his helmet to place it on the kitchen table as he tells Grogu to grab his school bag and head for the N1. Din is still smiling at Bo, and she places her helmet on the table next to his. "I'm going to make sure you're with me when they come to Mandalore to work out the trade agreement." Din sobers slightly.

"Speaking of which, when do you need me on Mandalore. I can meet with you and the Armourer for our joining." Bo steps in close and kisses Din sweetly, backing up when a small noise comes from near her boot. She releases Din and looks down to find Grogu smirking at them.

Din crouches down and lifts Grogu into his arms. "Hey kid. I know you know about Bo and I already but I thought I should ask you if its ok for Bo to join our family." He asks the little green guy in a serious tone and Bo raises an eyebrow as Grogu's cute little face turns towards her.

Bo didn't realize she cared so much about what Grogu's reaction would be until he coos and holds out his tiny three-fingered hands towards her. She snuggles Grogu against her and he makes a happy purring sound, closing his big, dark eyes and resting his head against her chest plate.

"I think he likes the idea." Din surmises with a happy smile at her and Grogu. "Okay kid, we need to move if we're going to get you to school on time." Bo reluctantly places Grogu on the ground and he smiles at her all the way out the door and around the corner, dragging his bag behind him. Din is grinning when he leans in to give an emotional Bo another kiss before following his son out the door.

Bo is moving her Gauntlet onto the broken landing pad next to the new Mandalore settlement and breathes a sigh of contentment until Koska's voice breaks over the coms. Bo flinches at the pang of guilt she feels at Koska's slightly frantic tone. "Bo! Thank the Mythosaur, you're back!"

Her friend starts rattling off the newest issues and complaints as Bo walks down the ramp of her ship, ignoring the rain as she spots Koska marching towards her.

Bo sighs.

A hour later, Bo places a cup of pog soup down in front of the Armourer, knowing full well that the woman won't drink it in her presence. She had invited the Armourer to meet her in what Koska refers to as her new 'command tent' and they had been going over the specifics of their new trade agreement with Plazir-15.

"All that aside, I wanted to see about a time you were available to officiate the vows been Din Djarin and I." she says and the Armourer pauses. "Those vows can be given at any time, between the two of you." She says, obviously confused as to why they hadn't already done it.

Bo nods in understanding. "Yes. I know, but an idea was presented to me recently that made a lot of sense. Mandalore has been through so much and there is so much yet to do, that maybe its people need a reason to come together and celebrate." Bo sips at her soup and gauges as much as she can from the Armourer's body language as the older woman ponders her words.

"I see what you are saying, but perhaps your union is not the celebration we should be focused on." Bo's brow furrows. "What do you mean?"

"Your coronation is something all Mandalorians can celebrate." Bo considers for a moment. "What if we combined the two into one celebration? I want the union to be public only because of the symbolism of our two factions joining together." She explains and the Armourer sits back in her seat. "That is an excellent idea."

Bo grins at the thought of telling Din about their plans.

Din

"Dank Farrik. I never should have agreed to this." Din mumbles to himself as he makes his way through the assembled crowd in front of the Great Forge. He walks up the steps to stand in front of the Armourer, giving her a nod and lowering Grogu to the stone floor.

Looking out over the crowd, Din decides that every Mandalorian in the galaxy must be here, along with a few extras. The Captain and Duchess from Plazir-15 are trying to wave excitedly at him from the front of the crowd and he can see Greef Karga beside them, grinning at him. There are several others in attendance that he thinks he recognizes but the Armourer clangs her beskar tools together, grabbing his attention.

Bo had compromised with him over their vows, and they had privately exchanged them in the presence of the Armourer an hour ago inside Bo's command tent. The coronation was to be the public spectacle and Din stands on display as consort, as they wait for Bo to join them. To Din's immense confusion, the Armourer had insisted that Din buff his armour and that Grogu's rondel be on full display for the ceremony.

Music starts playing from somewhere and Din leans over to straighten Grogu's chainmail. When he stands again, the crowd has gone silent, and Din sees a flash of red and bright silver in the crowd. Those assembled start dropping in reverence and Din squints to get a look at his wife amongst them.

The throng parts and Din is frozen in awe at the sight of Bo walking towards him.

Gleaming new beskar armour fits over Bo's body like a second skin. Intricate designs cover the steel of her bodice, swirling around the golden sigil of the Mythosaur in the middle of her chest. Large, ornate pauldrons spear up from her shoulders to frame her face and a long, thick, white cape drops behind her. Delicate plates of beskar cover Bo's long legs from her greaves down to the tips of her boots.

She's the most beautiful warrior queen he could imagine, and Din is lost for words as she directs her fierce gaze at him. Din drops to one knee beside Grogu and slams an arm against his chest plate in fealty as she ascends the steps of the Great Forge. He watches Bo stand before the Armourer and gracefully kneel as the leader of his clan speaks.

"This ceremonial armour is my gift to honour our new queen. May she reign long and bring new glory to Mandalore!" The solemn expression on Bo's face shows the reverence she has for the honour she's being given as the Armourer places a matching helm over her head. The helm is shaped mostly like a Mandalorian helmet but without the tinted visor in the front. The sides are open to show her face and a thin strand of gold wraps around the top of the same intricate designs as the rest of Bo's striking armour.

When the helm is on her head, Bo stands and says a few quiet words to the Armourer before turning towards the rest of Mandalore. The cheering is deafening as Bo stands with a small smile on her lips for a few moments before finding Din's eyes and holding a hand out to him. He immediately steps beside her but his gaze never leaves her face. Din is staring at her as if in a trance when Grogu leaps into his arms to lean over and touch Bo's armour. Bo grins at their son and holds out her arms. Grogu climbs over to her and crows with happiness.

They descend the steps into hundreds of happy faces and that's when he and Bo are separated. Din is pulled away with so many congratulations and well-wishers and he doesn't see her again, with the exception of a few glimpses, for hours.
