Protect And Serve

Disclaimer: Thought it'd be fun to do this.

Summary: During an attack on Angel Grove, Bulk and Skull do some re-evaluating of their priorities and make a decision.

It was another day in Angel Grove, California and unfortunately, it'd been spoiled by another attack on the city by Rita and Zedd in their quest to destroy the Power Rangers and take over the Earth. And this time, the duo had chosen to send down more than one Monster and a large number of their expendable forces to cause as much chaos and destruction as they could before the Rangers ultimately stopped them. Though why they never went directly to the Moon to stop the Married Couple from Hell permanently was never clear to anyone from the city or outside of it and made some be a little suspicious. Currently, several members of the Junior Police Force were trapped as they waited for the bad guys to move on from where they were and among those members were the duo known as Bulk and Skull. "Bulky, I've been thinkin'…"

Bulk looked at his long time friend and essential brother in all but blood. "Think you picked the wrong time for that, Skull." A snort of agreement came from one of the others of the JPF but was soundly ignored.

Skull briefly scowled before speaking. "Now seems like a great time as any as I think we made a horrible decision in joining the Junior Force."

"Considering you only did so to get girls, I'd have to agree." Snarked the one who'd snorted at them previously.

Jacob Colebron being the third generation of his family to serve on the Police Force and had never been shy about what he thought of the duo. He honestly thought Stone was wasting his time on the two but anything he'd said had been ignored by the man and looked forward to one day proving the man was wrong. Stone claimed to see potential in the two but Colebron didn't and knew there was a few others who shared that view. And unfortunately for him, he and a few others were stuck with the duo and this likely wouldn't have happened if Stone hadn't decided to do a field trip of sorts that day as a late gift to celebrate their graduating the Academy. Bulk sighed and shook his head. "Yeah, even as part of the Junior Patrol we still don't have much luck with the ladies so I think you might have a point there, Skull."

An explosion forced the small group to lower themselves to avoid any potential flying debris and flinched at the sounds of screams. "So its time to re-evaluate things then for you two and either get serious about being part of the Police or quit. We don't need little boys who only want chicks." Declared the young woman of the small group by the name of Anna Forest.

She herself being a second generation member of her family to enter Law Enforcement and the duo flinched at her words. But they had to admit she was right and Skull had a thought hit him. "Say… We're about 5 blocks from the Goodwill aren't we?"

This got him strange looks from the others with him. "Umm… Yeah, what about it, Skullovitch?" Wondered Jacob in confusion and annoyance.

As now wasn't the time to be thinking of something like that! "Well, its just that I remembered that place being one of the first to get a bunker installed for stuff like this and if we can get any civilians still out in this mess over there, it'd mean safety for them." He told Jacob and the others.

"That's… That's actually a good idea, Skullovitch." Praised Jacob.

And Skull, not being used to being praised liked that, beamed at the guy's words. "You're not thinking of also getting yourself to safety are you?" Anna asked accusingly and getting an offended look from Skull in return.

"Of course not! Stone's done a lot for us and its time we pay that back by finally gettin' serious about this stuff!"

Bulk sighed heavily as another explosion sounded off. "He's right." Admitted the big man.

He didn't like it, but his best friend and brother in all but blood was right. Besides, the Power Rangers never do what they do for the glory and all that and it was about time he and Skull followed that example. Sad it took somethin' like this to make me see that. I just hope I survive to see it through,

"So what's the plan?" Asked one of the others with them.

"We get any civilians and haul butt as fast as we can to the Goodwill and hope like crazy they have room for us." Skull quickly said.

The group looked at one another and then nodded in agreement. "Then on 3 we move." Declared Jacob dead seriously.

Even thinking he might could start to respect Skullovitch now for thinking this up and being willing enough to go through with it. Soon, the group was charging from their hiding spot and rushing to any civilians they could while fending off any attackers with Bulk even using his size to his advantage and even using a broken car door as a shield of sorts. Thankfully, they'd make it to the Goodwill and they'd be able to get the civilians inside and Jacob would find himself respecting even Bulkmeier now during the whole thing. Especially when the big man would go back out into the chaos to find more civilians caught in the chaos of everything going on with Skull following behind. Prompting Anna and Jacob to follow as well while the ones who'd been with them remained to keep an eye on the Goodwill as a just in case kind of thing. Unfortunately, for their bravery, one of them would end up in the hospital by the time everything was over with.
