Obsessions of a Adolescent Drama Queen

Chapter 2: The Drama Commences

The rest of the school day passed by with relative easy, and classes continued.

It was soon English class with everyone's least favorite teacher, Mr. Lancer.

"Alright, students. I hope you all have written your book reports on Moby Dick..."The stern teacher said.

"Yes, Mr. Lancer..."They all said in an almost monotone way.

"That Mikey better not have done a lousy job, I need to up my grade..."Dash muttered silently to Kwan when the teacher wasn't looking.

Mia heard this but ignored him. She was busy passing loving notes to Chet and gossipy ones to Rebecca out of boredom.

"So boring. I swear...if it wasn't for the ghost attacks, this would probably be the dullest high school in the world..."She thought, bored out of her mind as she pulled her book report from her backpack and had it ready.

Just as she did this, someone came rushing inside the classroom in almost a panic.

It was, surprise surprise, Danny Fenton, who was once again tardy.

"You're late again, Mr. Fenton..."Mr. Lancer said in a disapproving manner.

Danny looked embarrassed and sheepish.

"S-Sorry. I...I was in the bathroom..."He said while some students snickered at him.

Mr. Lancer frowned and just wrote something down before turning to his student.

"Well then, since you are already here. Why don't you give your book report first?..."He said, and Danny flinched.

"Uh...O-Okay..."Danny said nervously, knowing he is in a tight spot here.

He did as he was told, taking the book report that he thankfully managed to complete and began to present it to the class.

"Well, my report today is about Moby Dick by Herman Melville. The book was written in 1851 and it narrates the story of the maniacal quest of Ahab, captain of the whaling ship Pequod. And how his obsession slowly destroyed him..."Danny said, sounding a little nervous while some of the jocks got mean and decided to poke fun at him.

"What's wrong, Fenturd? Are you're sea-legs tired from running all day?..."Dash mocked, earning some laughs from his fellow jocks.

"Or did your head get waterlogged in the bathroom?..."Chet added, unable to resist.

Danny flinched, as Lancer grew irritated.

"Settle down, you two. Unless you both like to present your book reports right now instead..."The teacher said, shutting them up.

Once they quiet down, the teacher turned to his student.

"Carry on, Mr. Fenton..."He said.

"Um...well, Captain Ahab was on a quest was on a self-proclaimed quest for vengeance against the great white whale, Moby Dick. The reason is because the whale ate his leg and destroyed his ship..."Danny said awkwardly while Lancer motioned him to continue.

The popular kids were bored out of their minds and not even paying attention. All of them droned out the world while the shy boy nervously delivered his book report. Chet and Dash both both snickered at how Danny was presenting himself.

Mia saw Danny's flustered reaction and was not impressed to say the least.

"Geez, you don't have to take it so seriously..."She thought, thinking he was being too serious.

As Danny continued his report and tried to ignore the teasing, Mia kept chatting with Rebecca.

"So, wanna get your nails done after drama class tomorrow?..."Rebecca asked.

"Can't, I've got a date with Chet. We're gonna have dinner. Maybe the day after tomorrow..."Mia said, while her friend nodded in agreement.

Danny soon finished his report and went to his seat. As his friends looked at him with concern everyone else acted like he was invisible again.

The jocks got bored and gave a half-passable reports, while everyone else did a far better job with their own book reports in comparison, as class continued.

Mia, all the while, was simply doing her best to get this class over and done with, wanting to get out and looking forward to her date with her boyfriend.

After that

During lunch time

Class had ended and many students were taking part of lunch period.

Chet and Dale were eating with the jocks, but Rebecca and Mia decided to go meet up with some of their theater club friends to discuss how to go over some of the scenes they will be rehearsing later today.

However, they were still talking about what happened to Fenton during class time and that topic of discussion had mixed reactions from everyone involved in the conversation.

Namely, they were kind of talking trash about him.

"That Fenton kid is so naive. He totally hasn't gotten a clue..."Rebecca said, recalling how nervous he was earlier.

"I'll say. I mean this is like, what, the 50th time he's been late to class this month!..."Mia criticized.

"Totally lame..."Rebecca added.

"You're right, but don't be so hard on him. He might be really scrawny, but there is something kind of...well...cute about him...in a lanky kind of way..."Sarah said, getting looks from her friends.

"I think he's pretty melancholy..."Hannah said, adding her two cents.

"Melancholy?..."Rebecca asked.

Sarah looked equally confused right now.

"Yeah, you know...gloomy..."Hannah answered.

Mia was quiet the entire time until something Hannah said caught her attention.

"Melancholy? Gloomy? I don't think so..."Mia said, getting her friends attention.

"Depressed is more like it. He's more like he's carrying around some extra baggage almost everyday since Freshman year. What kind of baggage? I have no idea. It's not like he has a job or something..."She added.

Her friends sent her a curious look, as if asking her to clarify. Mia just shrugged and gave a simplified answered.

"I mean...he's always coming to school with those bags under his eyes. And how he's always acting he just fought his way through a pack of dogs. So weird..."Mia said, pointing out what seemed obvious to her.

"What exactly are you talking about?..." Saran asked, while the brunette girl just scoffed.

"Whatever. He's still a dork..."Mia said coldly, not seeing the point of continuing this conversation about Danny Fenton.

"Yeah..."Rebecca agreed.

"Uh huh..."Hannah said, nodding.

"Well, he's a cute kind of dork...like the ones you see on sitcoms. Ya know...the Hollywood definition of dorky at least..."Sarah said in an almost joking manner, making her friends giggle.

"He wishes..."Rebecca said in a mean way, as she started filing her nails.

Mia rolled her eyes and decided to do the same.

"I think we've talked more than enough about Danny Fenton for one day. Just 2 minutes alone is already past my quota..."She said, before her mind went to stuff that actually interests her.

"Besides, Chet is all the man I need. As a matter a fact, he and I have date later today and have something else more important than talking about that loser..."Mia said, sounding optimistic.

She was unaware of what or who was also awaiting later this day, or the effect it will have on her.

Later

It was soon free period.

Most students, as always, were either studying or pretending to study while others got into the usual high school related gossip or mischief. Mia and Rebecca were in the hallway right now, chatting and gossiping all the way.

"So, do you think I can borrow your cute white scarf? Is it okay if I use it for my date with Chet today?..."Mia asked.

"Sure, if I can borrow your cute seashell bracelet today..."Rebecca said.

"Deal..."Mia said, finding it a fair trade off.

As the girls kept talking and walking, they began to turn the corner. However, just as they did, someone ended up crashing into them...Mia specifically.

"OOF!..."Was heard.

"UGH!..."Mia went as she was now on the ground.

She soon saw who it was that crashed into her.

"FENTON?! You klutz! Watch it!..."Mia said angrily as Rebecca helped her up.

Danny saw her and looked flustered.

"S-Sorry..."He said as he got up and kept running.

Mia and Rebecca saw him run further down the hallway, frowning at him.

"Weirdo..."Mia muttered, annoyed with what happened.

"What's with him?..."Rebecca asked while Mia dusted herself off.

"Who cares. He's probably just running away from Dash for the hundredth time this year for whatever reason..."Mia said, already sick of the ridiculous game Dash insists on playing.

However, there was the sudden sound of a crash and people screaming. They heard a blast and panicked.

"Oh man, what's that?!..."Mia exclaimed as Rebecca screamed and pointed up ahead.

A ghost soon appeared. It was a metallic skull-faced entity with a green mohawk and missiles sticking out of its shoulders.

"You can't hide from me, Whelp!..."The ghost shouted, as he summoned more missiles.

"Oh my gosh!..."Mia screamed, as she and Rebecca legs began to shake.

"Run!..."Rebecca shouted, as they began to run to safety.

"Get out here, whelp! Unless you want me to use one of these flimsy looking humans as target practice!..."The ghost shouted, clearly trying to get someone's attention.

"What the heck is a whelp, anyway?..."Mia thought, but shook her head, knowing that's not the key issue here.

"We gotta get away from here! Come on!..."Rebecca said, as they kept running.

The ghost kept firing openly, and more people began running away.

"Rebecca?!..."Mia called out, but the crowds separated them as everyone fled in a panic.

Mia kept running, but ended up tripping.

"Ow!..."She said, feeling pain.

Thankfully, she didn't twist her ankle or anything. She got up, but Mia saw that the metal ghost with a mohawk was just around the corner and she needed someplace to hide quick.

She found a nearby hiding place, and almost instantly regretted her first choice.

"Of all the places to hide, why did it have to be a garbage can? Gross!..."She grumbled, as she was now hiding behind a trash can, panicking and desperate to avoid the ghosts detection.

All the while, she tried hard not to let the garbage can's stink get to her.

"Oh my gosh, it smells ever worse up close! Whatever! Just suck it up and NOT get blown to bits here!..."She thought, scared and desperate for a better hiding place.

"Come on out, ghost child! My patience is running thin!..."The ghost shouted, clearly planning on blasting his target the first chance he gets.

Thankfully, before that ghost could perform anymore damage or threaten anymore lives, a green blast struck it from behind, getting it's attention.

"Hey Bonehead, over here!..."Was heard.

Mia turned around and was relieved.

"It's Danny Phantom!..."Someone shouted, while the ghost looked at his enemy with a malicious grin on his face.

"Finally..."The ghost said, as he pulled out what looked to be a glowing machete.

"Oh, Skulker. I had thought about giving you the cold shoulder for a minute! And I've decided to do just that!..."Phantom shouted, before sending a blast that froze his arm.

Mia saw this and was amazed.

"So cool..."She whispered, only for a stray blast hitting a nearby locker reminded her of the danger present.

"Oh right, find safety first...act like a fan girl later..."She said, as she went to find a decent place to hide during the ghost battle.

She found a nearby empty classroom and quickly ran inside. She locked the door and hid by the desk, panting and shaky.

"Please don't let them come in here! Please don't let them come in here!..."She thought, as more sounds of blasts, screams, crashes and explosions could be heard coming from the hallway.

After about 5 minutes, there was an eerie silence.

Mia got nervous.

"Is it over?..."She wondered.

After a moment, she gathered her courage and peeked out of the classroom. She saw that, save from some dents on the lockers and some broken windows, the entire hallway was ghost free and danger free now.

She sighed in relief.

"Thank goodness..."She whispered, relieved to see that the ghost fight was over.

She walked out of the empty classroom, glad that the danger was all over.

"Finally. This is getting really getting on my nerves. And it disturbs me that I am getting more annoyed than scared when the school gets attacked by ghosts..."She whispered.

True, she was scared for her life at the time, but these ghost attacks were also becoming a nuisance in a way. It was hard to explain.

Anyway, she was about to leave and find Rebecca to make sure that she was alright, only to hear a strange noise from a nearby broom closet. She panicked.

"Oh man! Not another ghost!..."She thought, worried.

She would have run, but soon heard giggling and realized that wasn't the case.

"Oh, baby!~..."Some girl said and Mia realized the nature of this and rolled her eyes.

"Seriously? Did they not even realize that there was a ghost attack?..."She thought, not sure how to view it.

She would have left in disgust...had she not heard a name that made her freeze in place.

"Oh, Chet~..."Was heard.

Mia froze in place, as she heard the girl giggling and moan...and she also heard a guy's voice too. A very FAMILIAR guy's voice.

"Oh, Brittany baby. You're so hot!~..."A husky voice was heard and Mia felt a mixture of heart break and anger.

"Oh, stop it!~..."Brittany's giggling voice was heard, and Mia was soon seeing red now.

Anger took over and Mia angrily opened the closet door and exposed the two cheaters.

"CHET!..."Mia shouted, angry tears in her eyes as she confronted them.

There in front of her, her boyfriend Chet had his arms around Brittany McDougal, and he had some of her lipstick on his face. Both of them panicked.

"M-M-Mia?! W-What are you doing here?!..."Chet asked nervously as he pushed Brittany off of him.

"Better question yet... WHAT ARE YOU TWO DOING IN HERE?!..."She shouted, but she already knew the truth.

"Mia, it's not what it looks like!..."Chet said, but Brittany got upset.

"Chet, you told me that you and Mia already broke up! You lied to me!..."Brittany shouted, looking angry.

"Girls, I-..."Chet was silenced as Mia angrily slapped him across the face, and began yelling at him.

"I HATE YOU! YOU LYING DOG! HOW DARE YOU?!..."Mia shouted, as she slapped him again.

"Mia, I-..."Chet tried, but Mia kicked him and slapped him once more.

"Ow!..."Chet complained, while the brunette girl kept glaring hatefully at him.

"We're through!..."Mia shouted as she ran out of hall, to get away from him.

She kept running, trying hard not to let her tears blind her as she tried to escape her heartbreak and humiliation.

As well as to get away from the jerk who just broke her heart into a million pieces.

Outside

Mia ran as far as she could, trying to find a hiding place.

Since she couldn't exactly leave school right now, she spotted the bleachers and ran there.

Once there, she began to cry her eyes out, bawling and trying to wipe away her tears that had ruined her eyeliner. However, it did little to help as she kept crying and cursing her now ex-boyfriend.

"THAT JERK! HOW DARE HE?! I GAVE THE BEST MONTHS OF MY LIFE TO HIM! HOW CAN HE DO THIS TO ME?!..."Mia shouted, covering her face with her hands as she kept crying and crying.

"AHHH! I hate that creep! I hate him! I hate him! How can he betray me like this?!..."She wailed, as she hit against the bleachers in anger and misery.

Today had turned out to be worst day of her young life, and none of it had anything to do with ghosts in the least.

No, the boy who she thought that she loved just cheated on her. And with someone that she knew personally too.

"And of all girls he cheated on me with, why did it have to be Brittany?!..."She cried, still hiding her face with her hands.

Of all the girls he had to cheat on her, he cheated on her with one of the girls she is in the drama club with.

It was a cruel irony, to say the least.

She hated that jerk of a cheating, lying ex-boyfriend. She hated him so much right now. But she also hated how pitiful she was at this moment.

"Why does everything always happen to me?!..."She shouted, as she kept crying her eyes out.

The heartbroken girl was so caught up with her own misery, she didn't notice that someone was nearby...and she also didn't notice a quick flash of light right now.

She didn't notice anything...until she heard a slight creek that caught her attention.

Mia shot up and panicked.

"Who's there?!..."She demanded, turning around.

She noticed someone was also hiding by the bleachers and finally came to view.

"FENTON?!..."Mia shouted, after seeing the culprit before her.

"Uh...hi..."Danny's nervous voice said after getting caught, while discreetly hiding something behind his back.

Mia was taken back, and frowned hard at the presence of one of the last people she expected to run into here.

REPLIES to my loyal and totally awesome reviewer:

RonaldM40196867:

1) Sorry, no spoilers.

2) I was somewhat inspired by the character Ibuki Yagami from Maison Ikkoku.

3) I always wanted to make a fic involving Mia, and the idea just came to me.

Yahir Alexander Farfan Cuellar: I would say Jack's obsessive support to "Mayor Vlad".

Invader Johnny: I guess we will have to wait and see what happens.

Luiz4200: :)

Phantom Fan 21: How is this?

JDF Legacier Morphicon: Thank you :)

Here are my responses to your questions:

1) Only if he gained Character Development and matured as a person.

2) I think he allowed his pride, bitterness and obsessions consume him, and he just became worse and worse.

3) I'd say she'd be both strict but at the same time, want to give her kids freedom and independence.

4) I like that Star is one of the few popular kids that is still willing to be nice to Valerie, and I think that she is more likable than Paulina and Dash. I also think that she is capable of being a better person, she just needs someone like Danny to help bring out her better traits.

5) I haven't decided yet.

CMR Rosa:Thank you :)

I did previously make a fic using Paige Smith, who is the brunette girl with braces who hinted that she had a crush on Danny.

Jebest4781: How is this so far?

:) I hope you enjoyed this! Remember to read and review :)
