Chapter 21: Shining Judgement

At the Union Base, the Navis sensed something wrong. More than anything before, making the rest of them go to the monitor, joining Calumon's side. They all couldnt help but watch, mouth gapped wide open at the carnage and emptying a massive Digimon was causing upon appearing atop the halved Infinity Mountain, continuously doing a widespread data absorption across the Digiworld. The lesser mons getting absorbed by it laid helplessly on the ground, lasting no longer than 3 minutes if they were within a 200 mile radius of it's proximity. It stood tall, fortress-like with it's four legs holding up the gigantic black, metallic body it had, watching over the wireframing landscape with it's big green eye, occasionally stomping out any strong Digimon foe that approached. It needed to be stopped for the sake of the Digiworld but everyone was at a loss.

"[Cutemon] He...He actually did it...He became Ogudomon..."

"[Datomon] ! T-That's Ogudomon?! But...H-How're we supposed to beat it? Isnt it supposed to be..Invincible? O O;;;"

"[Cutemon] *sees several Mega level Digis like Seraphmons, Houhoumon X and Valdurmon but they get batted away by it's powerful stomp before being absorbed as more try to fire attacks at it* It is...This isnt happening...why...why...Why does everything have to go wrong like this?! The Digiworld is going to be destroyed! This wasnt supposed to happen! WHY?! TTOTT"

"[Gatomon] *sees a big red jewel shine from it's huge mouth in the middle of it's oddly shaped body, Digivolving Ultimate and Perfect level Digimons closer to it* ! Look! It's Digivolving other Digimon! Why would it do that? I thought it just wanted to wipe everything from the Digiworld. o O"

"[Caulumon] He wants to die too... *gets both of their attention* He..Must know he's invincible but..He still wants someone strong enough to take him down..But.. *touches crystal in forhead* How is he..."

"[Gatomon] Hey! It's like Caulumon's Zero Unit! His Matrix Crystal can Digivolve anyone too! But where'd he get that power from? I thought only Caulumon could do that."

"[Caulumon] Well...The Zero Unit is a Digi-card too..Maybe he can absorb those and use their powers."

"[Gatomon] But that's cheating! It makes defeating him that less likely! What do we do now?! You have to think of something!"

"[Caulumon] If...If my crystal breaks, I'd die for sure. Maybe he works the same for his. But how'll we damage him if he's invincible?"

"[Cutemon] It's hopeless...There's no way ANYONE can beat that thing! Nothing works on him! NOTHING! We might as well roll over and die.."

"[Caulumon] Hey dont say that..There's..."

"[Cutemon] Why shouldnt I?! Look at this!"

"[Caulumon] *sees me and Renamon warp in front of the massive Digimon*...Cuz of them. I think they can do it...But they'll need my help."

"[Morphomon] Allow me to go."

"[Caulumon] ! *turns around to her* W-what now? *looks to the right of her, seeing Strabimon* You too?"

"[Morphomon] I have already relayed all of what I have heard to brother. Me and him cannot stand idly while the Digiworld is being wiped out."

"[Strabimon] Like sis said. We have to try! We're doing this for our dad. I know he'd want us to help! *feels a hand on shoulder, turns to the side* B-bro?"

"[Aegiomon] How far can you Digivolve us?"

"[Caulumon] *sees the serious look on Aegiomon's face* (That look! He really wants to do this huh?) Uh, I think I can keep Digivolving someone as much as I want."

"[Aegiomon] Good. We're going then."

"[Morphomon] B-big brother...! I am so glad you are this willing. -u-"

"[Cutemon] But..But it's invincible! You wont be able to do anything to it! Why bother?!"

"[Morphomon] What other reason than protecting the Digiworld? -.-"

"[Strabimon] If we're going to be the next Rulers after dad, this'll be how we show our worth! It's no different from when I was on my own. If I die, Im not worth it. Simple as that."

"[Hackmon] *runs up to Strabimon* You said it, boss. Dont forget about me."

"[Aegiomon] *scratches head* I-I dont know about going that far..But if it means I can have more food, I'll help out too."

"[Morphomon] Brother. This is for father. Focus on the battle, not just food. -.-"

"[Cutemon]...Fine..Go out and get yourselves killed. See if I care. n"

"[Hackmon] We got this. You know I'll die for ya if it came down to it."

"[Strabimon] *looks at fists* (Dad chose me for a reason. Now's the time to not let him down. Im sure Renamom will try her best for us too. Im ready for this!)" he told himself in his head, stepping on the teleport panel with his siblings and Hackmon, warping down to the hollowing Digiworld. Cutemon watched Caulumon get warped this way too, then starred at the monitor with Gatomon, hoping everything will go well. After hearing their words, the brimming courage she saw in them gave her the will she needed to stomach watching how this confrontation will play out, ever wanting the aftermath to be like all the other victories against the Rulers. She just wished it wasnt against Ogudomon, The Super Demon Lord Digimon, and the final ruler of the Digiworld.

I looked up at the 300 foot tall Digimon and it starred back down at me, even while flinging away and grinding all the other mons into bloody pulps. "This Ogudomon. It seems to be ignoring us on purpose despite being this close. How peculiar" Renamon comments, "It knows. *gets her attention* It knows we're the strongest there is now...Our potential is currently way greater than anything else thrown at it..I see...He wants to die that badly...Still. *starts floating while both Digivices start to glow brighter* He made a big mistake..He became killable..This may not be a fight we hope to win by cutting him down. But I know what we have to do now...You can hear me, cant you?" I was saying, "Yes...We cannot be any more opposite..Your mortality against my immortality..Your humanity against my lack of mine..The Digivice chose you..But will you use it to it's fullest?" Ogudomon (Verge) replied, "I was planning to from the start...*casts both Digivices forward, starting to absorb Ogudomon's data* And I'll use both of these to completely absorb you! I dont care how long it takes! YOUR LIFE ENDS HERE! ONE WAY OR ANOTHER, I'LL MAKE SURE YOU'RE GONE FOR GOOD!" I yelled out loud, "(Hmph. That's what I like to hear, Human)" Renamon thought to herself with a smile, "*sees his leg raising at us* Renamon! *floats to right, dodging his stomp, which left a huge hole in the moutain's side* Hold him back! This'll take a while to do! *feels my hands bleeding from the intense rumbling and overheating as they turn orange* Both Digivices are already going crazy on me, so let's make this as quick as possible! You cant afford to hold anything back!" I commanded her, "Hmph. Sounds like the ultimate test to me. *looks up to Ogudomon, balling up a fist* You hear that? You're all mine now. You may be immune to damage, but I know you're just an incomplete freak!" Renamon told him before digivolving into Taomon form, shooting tags all over his body, exploding them constantly for a moment. "*looks around, trying to see through the explosions and smoke* (She's blinding me..I see...)" Ogudomon (Verge) was realizing, but he blasted all of it away with a powerful shout from his big, jagged mouth (Cathedral). "*sees the stream of data cutting off until a moment later he was done with the attack* (So he cant always attack and absorb at the same time. I can use that)" Taomon thought to herself, trying to plot for the best strategy. "*starts seeing Dark Digimons spawning around her, forcing her to dodge their attacks, with a few being at Mega level* Where the hell did...Dont tell me! Bastard, this is your doing! I cant even absorb their damn data!" I noticed, "I wish I was more prepared...If this son of your's didnt undergo Death Digivolution, I would be immune as well.." Ogudomon (Verge) told me, "Son of a bitch...And that THING is not my son! He never will be..Not after..." I was lowly saying, "(Dont let your past get to you now! Both Digivices are running off of your heart's power! You need all the determination you can get to win this!)" Bastemon said within me, "(Easy for you to say. Then again..We all have had an awful past, have we...Anyways, this asshole can make more Dark mons at will it seems) Taomon! Do you need me to digivolve you? I'll do it right now if I have to!" I loudly offered while absorbing Ogudomon's data, "*bats away DarkMugendramon and DarkRavmon with giant brush, suffering slight bursts of blood in the arm upon impact* (They just have to be above average in bulk as well) Unless you have anything special for my current form, do it quickly, Human!" Taomon replied, "*puts both Digivices in one palm, and draws a card with the other hand* I only have one in mind. *sees two of my cards float from my pocket and disappear in front of me* Fenrir Sword! Activate! *puts the card into my Digivice, making the sword appear in Taomon's hand* Before I have you evolve, let's have some special guests with us" I was alluding to, surprising Taomon, having Wes and Angie appear on the battlefield with her team. "! H-Human...! H-how did you..?" Taomon reacts, "Right now..I've never been so powerful. Im getting great support out of nowhere. Maybe..It's the Digivices" I replied, "*looks back at me, seeing a magical girl in white holding my shoulders while floating behind me* (Is that...! Could it be King Yggdrasil's will?! Or even...The Digiworld itself helping us take on this Ogudomon? This is what we need...We shall not waste it!)" Taomon thought to herself, with her Fenrir Sword shining brightly before tearing through half of the summoned Dark mons around her. "*dances and around the falling chunks of meat from the Dark mons* Whoa whoa whoa! She aint holdin' nothin' back huh?! Girl's gonna end up with a barbecue at this rate!" Tempomon was reacting, "Whohohooo, look at how big this boy is! Probably too big for me OuO" Angie comments, "Forget how large he is! What're we doing out here in front of it?! There's a whole lot of data being lost now!" Camil reacs in worry, "*feels a strong aura emitting from body and sees it in everyone else* Ang'! Camil! I think your friend is giving us the strength to fight against this thing...!" Lady Devimon told her, "It's not just that. *sees a red light glowing from my chest* (Huh? What's...Happening to me?)" I then thought, "(It is almost ready..Once it is..Allow me to take over)" I heard in my head, "(Take over? It must be the help I've been feeling recently)" I was trying to piece together. The four-legged abomination went ahead and made more Dark Digis for us to battle, making Camil and Angie's team that much more prepared to fight, despite looking at 50 of them now. "Let's make this a bit quicker. *draws a card* Digi-Modify! Dragon Breath! Activate!" I called upon, "! (This power! Im going to..!) RAAAAAAAUUUUGUHH! *blows a grand, engulfing wave of flames from mouth, deleting all of the summoned Dark Digimon* Huh? How'd I do that?" Aero V-Dramon lowly said, "Dont worry. It's as planned. I needed a Holy Dragmon Digimon for that one. With my Digi-Eyes, I could tell what you were when I saw you. Now dont hold back either! All of you need to do what you can against this thing before he makes more! Now then! Taomon! Time to Digi- *draws the Summon Cube card but she starts Digivolving anyway* Hmmm?!" I react, "How am I...! *digivolves into Sakuyamon* But..I didnt intent to do this yet" Sakuyamon reacts while looking at her hands, "(The closer him and your daughter get, the greater this power of your's becomes)" I heard in my head some more, "(Wait! Daughter? Does she mean Morphomon!? Are my other children coming this way too?)" I was stlll trying to piece together as Ogudomon (Verge) spawned 10 more Dark Digimo while trying to strike down on the whole team. Another thing...His rate of creating Dark Digimon isnt that good. It's taking him about a minute each time for a dozen to be made. Either draining this much of him is causing him to make less, or that's been the case with him being incomplete. Whatever. I'll find out more soon enough. "*watches the Dark Digimon team fight against Camil and Angie's* You dont seem to have much time either...*sees my eyes jolt in surprise* You are not the only one that has a form of omniscience..I know will do as well..And the condition of your Digivices...We'll see what's faster...You draining as much as my data as possible..Or me draining all of the Digiworld..Whatever plan you have in mind..5 minutes. That is all the time you have to finish me.." Ogudomon (Verge) told me, "(Just when I thought knowing what he'd do next got me ahead enough...But 5 MINUTES?! 5 GODDAMN MINUTES?! How the hell am I gonna do all this now?!)" I start panicking in my head, "(Hey now...You cant give up all because things dont look good..It hasnt from the start. You know that better than anyone here, right? He knows you can beat him. He's just...Getting in your head is all)" Bastemon said in my mind, "(...You're right..Everything will align soon enough..Soon...Very soon...I'll kill him...I'LL BE ABLE TO KILL HIIIIM! O)" I said to myself, trying to bring my courage to it's peak.

Sakuyamon slays through 7 of the 10 spawned Dark Digimon that were at high Ultimate level, leaving the rest that were Mega level to the teams below as she flew and pounded against Ogudomon, pushing him back with her powerful blows. "INFERNOOO!" DarkVenom Vamdemon howls while shooting a big wave of flames down at the team, "*sees the ground shaking and lifting as it comes down* (This flame is icredibly strong! I have to..!) Wildfire Tsunami!" Vritramon shouts, whipping his wing with a strong gust, causing a massive tornado while unleashing flames of his own to shield the teams from the attack, effectively snuffing it. However, DarkVenom Vamdemon uses his lengthening arms to grab TeslaJellymon, "Super Positron Laser!" DarkImperialdramon: Fighter Mode shouts with a powerful beam aiming for her, "You...BASTAAAARDS! *makes an incredibly intense, concentrated blade of fire in one hand* DRAGON'S FURY BLADE!" Dorbickmon howlers in great anger, cutting through the laser, slicing DarkVenom Vamdemon's arms and a leg in two pieces and DarkDiablomon's arm flew off, all within one swing of his sword. "Oooooo~ That was incredible, Dorbymon~! w" Angie gratified, "(This power...! There's no way one of his kind could do this much against us!)" DarkDiablomon reacts, still in shock of his prowess. "*throws his arm off while flailing hands in place* Eww ewww ewww! I cant believe he went for me like that! " TeslaJellymon complained, "Yo babe, how's a team up sound ta you? Cant let that happen again!" Tempomon offered, "Anything to get these creeps offa me! I already got one to deal with as is! v *looks to Angie and she waves this way* Let's get 'em, Tempomon! Digivolve toooo...! *is coated in white, grows taller and gets a big, pink jelly-like dress with large black gloves* Thetismon! Follow my lead, little guy. *dashes to DarkDiablomon, lunging green-tipped white tentacles at him with goo on them* Doctase!" Thetismon said, "Let's see you last against this! *charges a mass of heat in chest cannon* Catastrophe Cannoooon!" DarkDiablomon shouts, shooting a really strong destructive shot at Thetismon, "(Oh no you dont!) Wind Guardian! *makes a powerful burst of wind swirl in front of Thetismon, holding DarkDiablomon's shot* (It's holding! Now's my chance!) Dragon Impulse!" Aero V-Dramon shouts, emitting a powerful pulse from his body in the shape of a blue dragon, dispersing the shot in an explosion upon collision, "(Hey he's tryin' to show me up! Im suppose to be helpin' out too!) *does alot of rumbling in the ground with taps from feet while spinning, causing a tornado to occur in seconds* Upbeat Twister!" Tempomon said, kicking the tornado at DarkDiablomon as it played loud beats from his music. "*sees Vritramon coming in from behind, charging a fire blast in his arms* (That does it!) System Fail! *generates a green force field around body, making the tornado, the tentacles and Vritramon bounce right off* You damn brats have been having it too easy..Now it wont be a good idea to attack me so directly. Multiply" DarkDiablomon said, making a clone of himself with green shielding around it as well, "Oh crap! What type of- *sees Vritramon devolve to Agnimon* For real?! Was it cuz of this dude's bubble?! That def' aint cool!" Tempomon reacts, "Vritramon! This really isnt good! *dodges black flames from DarkVenom Vamdemon and gets guarded from more by Dorbickmon's flaming sword* This'll take forever to beat them at this rate!" Aero V-Dramon said, "Not when we're around!" he heard suddenly. Streaks of red light ravage the Mega level mons, blowing them all back and a massive hit could be heard from DarkVenom Vamdemon as he groaned while drooling on the ground, holding his stomach while kneeling. "*turns to him, seeing Aegiomon standing in front of him and Strabimon lands before them soon after, making him spring a leak of blood from his neck a second later* The children...! So they've arrived after all!" Sakuyamon said in surprise, "We were just overshot a bit is all. *looks up at me and trades a smile with me* Dad! You're looking great up there! Me and your kids will do our best against these guys ouo" Strabimon told me, "(Strabi...) I knew I made the right choice when I came to you..Alright then. Let's get rid of these damn Digimon! Then we can focus on keeping Ogudomon at bay, so we can end this irritating battle!" I told them, "Right dad! I should be able to-! *starts glowing* Hmm? What's this?" Strabimon questioned, "*starts glowing too* Father? Is this your doing?" Morphomon also asked, "! Is it? *sees a red jewel popping through my sternum* What the hell..." I react, "(So then...The Zero Unit. It's finally emerging from within you. It seems to react greatly when close to your children)" the voice inside me said. Zero Unit...? What is that? As I wondered, Strabimon underwent an incredible Digivolution, becoming Susanoomon. Similar to him, Morphomon becomes Ultimate Eosmon and Aegiomon became Jupitermon. This is..Incredible...! This crystal in my body..Did all that? For them? "(This form..! I've never felt so powerful) Let's do this...Not just for our dad...But for the Digiworld!" Susanoomon told them, "(That's more like it. We're that much more likely to win now)" Sakuyamon thought with a smirk, "Father..Father, I can see everything now. The lost data. Our enemies. My siblings. Everything" Ultimate Eosmon said, "This cant be...! I wont let it end like this! Ionic Blaster!" DarkImperialdramon: Fighter Mode shouts, shooting a powerful beam from his chest down at the teams on the ground, "Aurora Stream" Ultimate Eosmon said, shooting a beam of her own, that not only interrupted the laser, but it bended the light attack away from everyone, curving it upwards, "WHAT THE HELL?! *sees it curving this way* But! BUT HOW?! *gets hit by both beams, having them ramming into chest, making a gapping hole in it as blood and sparks fly out of it* GRRRNN! GYAAAAAAAAGGGHH! SPLENDOR BLADE!" DarkImperialdramon: Fighter Mode shouts, trying to cut and guard against the incredible beam attacks as they enlarge on him, "Cruelty Rain" Ultimate Eosmon said, raining down massive, shimmering panels from it's glassy wings upon the Dark mons, dicing up DarkImperialdramon: Fighter Mode intto many pieces and getting them lodged into others' bodies, pinning them into the ground this way."(Sis...! That was amazing!)" Susanoomon reacts to himself, "Jupitermon! *gets his attention* Let's put them out of their misery! This is where they die!" Dorbickmon says, charging his pressurized flame sword before slashing down at the grounded foes, "Right! Mabolt!" Jupitermon calls upon with his hammers raised, then with a loud clang, a great cloud above destroys the Dark mons' bodies with a powerful thunder strike, erasing every ounce of data from them. This is perfect! It's only been two minutes and we've made alot of progress. Now we can focus our attacks on this asshole! "*absorbs their data, transforming into Maid Mode* Give it all you got everyone! Izuna!" Sakuyamon Maid Mode shouts, rapidly striking Ogudomon with many fox spirits, pushing him back, "Celestial Blade!" Susanoomon shouts, giving Ogudomon dozens of slashes from his giant sword of light with a red, blue and yellow hilt, "Wide Plasment!" Jupitermon shouts, ramming down on Ogudomon from above as a giant thunderbolt, "Shock Smasher!" Thetismon shouts, "Burning Salmander" Agnimon shouts, "Magnum Crusher!" I heard, "Upbeat Twister" I also heard, along with a dozen other attacks as my vision blurred from all the action and pouring my entire being into draining Ogudomon with my Digivices. A bright light was occuring in the midst of all these insanely powerful attacks, that should kill just about any Digimon that'd find themselves get hit by them...However. When that light disapated, an ugly scene followed. Suddenly, out of that light, a claw struck everyone down in one swift attack, making it's way into my chest to my surprise. "*gets up, wiping blood from face; looks up at me, seeing Ogudomon stabbing it's claw through my chest* O O! HUMAAAAAAAAN!" Renamon shouts for me in distress, "GUUUUAGGGH...! *coughs alot of blood, but holds the claw in place with one arm; stars wheezing and struggles to hold up the Digivices in one palm* (Is...Is this...working at all..? I cant tell anymore...How long were we attacking just now..? It cant end like this..It just...cant..) oV ;;; *feels the 2nd Digivice sliding out of my hand and it falls out* ! Ghn- No, wait!" I react, "*catches it, floats up to my face* Hey..You're in real bad shape, aintcha? / . \" Caulumon comments, "C-culu..m-mon..? What're you...?" I asked, "It is time, Tamer" everyone heard, "*looks up, seeing two bright red lighs shining* What...Is happening..?" Renamon said in awe, "What're you..talking about..?" I asked, "This Caulumon is needed. You have to absorb him. To complete your Matrix Crystal. Only then..Will you be able to rid this Ogudomon..When I am fully manifested" she said, "...No..Caulumon...not you too..." I lowly said, putting my forehead on the impaling claw, "*hugs my cheek* Dont worry about me, ok? I knew it was time too..This is for the Digiworld, remember? Didnt Renamon tell you something about this? ^ ^" Caulumon told me, "...Sacrifices...I know...I promised her to be this world's Ruler..It's too late to turn back...You've...Been such a good friend...Caulumon.." I was saying to him, "That's what friends are for...Right? Well..I gotta go now so...byebye TTuTT" Caulumon farwelled before being absorbed in the Digivice, all of his data. Caulumon...I'll never forget you..Upon his sacrifice, the magical girl disappears from my shoulder. In her stead, a grand, white being descends upon the land. He gave everyone great fear upon his appearance. Ogudomon goes into his X form, but he gets stabbed through by the being's giant white crystal. "Tamer. You have done well. Allow me to return the favor. This creature will now be deleted" the godly Digimon said, "You're...King Drasil..Aren't you?" I asked, "Correct. And now the Digital World is but a moment away from true freedom" King Drasil said, "*feels myself still floating as the claw comes out of my body; the hole in my chest is mostly healed* (He..Healed it...) King. If I can have one last request...Before you delete him..Allow me to kill him" I requested, "...If you wish" he allowed. I floated down to Ogudomon's giant head. I came up to his eye, used the Shishimaru card to make the big sword appear in my hand. "*puts a hand on my shoulder* Dont forget about me. I want to do it too!" I heard from behind, "Not you again..This is my kill, not you- HUH? *turns around, seeing a pink Renamon* Who..What..Are you..? O O" I react, "Oh! That's right. You never seen me like this huh? Well, this is my Shiny form. This is my real self. Your precious lil Renners came together with me too! ^w^" ShiningRenamon told me, "Shining...Fine...If he made you this way..Then..I guess it's fair we do this together.." I said, "You should be glad too. Without me, your Renners wouldnt be to exist in the first place. She was originally deleted, but I was made with the very last bit of data from her original self. When we were split by this guy, I kinda went all evil and stuff. How luck is that thought? owo" ShiningRenamon informed, "Umm..I see now..That is..Very lucky..Alright..Let's do this..*turns to Ogudomon's eye as he stares back* My vengence..My pain...My losses..It all ends here..With your life" I said with a tightened grip of my sword, "And a 1, and a 2, aaaaaand~! ^W^" ShiningRenamon sung, "TIME TO DIIIIE!" the both of us said as I sliced a huge hole in his green eye and ShiningRenamon punches all the way through it with her Power Paw, making his head explode. "Thank...you...final..ly...sweet..wonderful...death..." Verge lastly said before dying, "(...I get it now..King Drasil took his invulnerability away..Now...He can stay dead..) *lets the blade fall out of my hand, palm drips blood on it* Yknow...I wanted to enjoy this kill..For everything you put me through..But again..I feel nothing...The loved ones I lost..They're still gone..And maybe...A part of me feels glad you're dead...You got your wish after all...I just wish I could have mine come true.." I said lowly as my farewell to him. Once he loses form, King Drasil deletes his body and all other Dark Digimon that he happened to create before ascending to the heavens above. Im sure that..The day when it's my turn to die, I'd want to be in his shoes. I'd want to be immortal at the last second...But what about Basty? Palmon-X? and now Caulumon...That wouldnt be fair to any of them. Death may not be the answer to everything...But sometimes it is. I can do them a favor this way too.. "*pats my back* Heeey! What's the long face for? You're the new Ruler remember? ^w^" ShiningRenamon told me, "Yeah..I guess I am aint I..Lemme just...Have it set in for a bit..Maybe then I can focus" I told her, "Human? *gets my attention, and kisses my lips* Did that help?" Renamon asked with a smile, "*feels my lips* Yes...Yes Renny...It'll always help.." I tell her, "Then..Allow me..*looks in my eyes, holding my cheeks* Human...My precious Human.." Renamon tells me before leaning her head in to kiss me some more, which I more than welcomed...This could've more romantic if everyone else wasnt so bloodied up around us. Only ones conscious to see us like this Camil and Angie, who were happy for us. "I hate to say it..But they really make a great couple, do they? UuU" Camil said, "Yeah sure they do.
