Greetings. After over 2 years, I'm back with another parody. This one parodies the episode: The One With Unagi.
Leni and Luan were coming to pick up Lynn from karate practice.
"Hey Lynn," Leni said.
"Hi girls," Lynn said.
"How was karate?" Luan asked.
"Awesome," Lynn said. "I really enjoy it. Did you know girls can really score high in that sport?"
"It's awesome," Leni said. "Maybe you should try it, Luan."
"I don't know," Luan said. "It's a little crazy."
"Beyond crazy," Lynn said. "On the other hand, there is one thing I can teach you guys about."
"There is?" Leni asked.
"Yeah," Lynn said.
"Please," Luan said. "You'll just be a sore player again, and I can sense when you do it from a mile away."
"Prove it," Leni said. "Go on, and don't make me turn it into an unwelcome dare."
"Of course, you can defend yourself from something you know is coming," Lynn commented.
"You saying that's not enough?" Luan asked.
"Of course it's not enough," Lynn answered. Now look. I've been into karate for quite a while, and there is a concept that both of you should be familiar with. It's what the Japanese call Zanshin."
"What kind of spray would Zanshin be?" Leni asked.
"I don't think it's a kind of spray," Luan answered.
"Of course not," Lynn commented. "It's a concept."
"Some concept that would be," Leni said. "We are not Japanese figures."
"Not helping, Leni," Luan said.
"You're right," Leni commented. "I'm sorry, Lynn."
"Me too," Luan commented. "If that was me, I'd make like a piece of wood and chop myself out of the dojo."
She was the only one to laugh at it, while Leni and Lynn were unamused.
"Alright," Luan said. "You mind telling us what kind of concept Zanshin dare calls itself?"
"I'd be glad to," Lynn Junior answered. "Zanshin is a state of total awareness. Only by achieving true Zanshin can you be prepared for any danger that may befall you."
"In case someone tries to steal a bamboo sleeping mat?" Leni asked.
"Or your kettle of fish?" Luan added.
Leni and Luan both laughed.
"Very funny," Lynn commented. "All I'm saying is that it's one thing to be prepared for an attack against each other. It's different when it's coming from other people."
Lynn tried to show an example, but was stopped in her tracks.
"Okay," Lynn said. "You knew that was coming, but it's going to take more than that to prove you have Zanshin."
The three of them continued walking home. An hour later, Leni and Luan finished chatting with Lori.
"Fairway must be going well for her," Luan said.
"I totally agree with you," Leni commented. "I'm thinking we can help make that famous lasagna dad whips up."
"I'm in," Luan said. "Let's go."
But just as they were near the stairs…
"Danger!" Lynn screamed. "Danger!"
That made Leni and Luan have a jump scare more powerful than when around Lucy.
"Lynn," Leni called out. "What on earth was that?"
"A lesson in the importance of Zanshin," Lynn answered.
"Man," Luan responded. "What kind of freak are you?"
"The kind that takes things up a notch," Lynn answered. "Now I'm curious. During those girlish screams, when would one of you have begun kicking my rump?"
"Okay," Luan said. "So we weren't prepared."
Lynn then commented, "I'm sorry I had to take extreme measures to make my point, but even the most competitive want their loved ones to be safe."
Luna and Lincoln then walked out.
"Danger!" Lynn called.
Lincoln playfully took her to the ground while Luna walked downstairs without even flinching.
"See?" Lynn commented. "Zanshin."
"What's that?" Lucy asked, making Leni and Luan jump in fright.
"You have it too Lucy?" Luan asked.
"Yep," Lynn said before looking at the viewers. "To those of you watching at home, the newest perk to having a big family. It's having multiple opportunities to practice the art of Zanshin."
"You got that right," Lincoln said before giving Lynn a high 5.
Those 2 then walked off as well. Leni and Luan just stood there with blank expressions on their faces.
The next day, Lynn Junior returned home from spending time with her best friend, Margo Roberts.
"Man," Lynn said. "Who knew roller derby can take a lot out of you?"
She went into the kitchen to get some juice. While in there, she sensed someone coming up behind her. That someone was her brother, Lincoln.
"Hey there," he said.
"Lincoln," Lynn said. "I sensed it was you."
"Are you still upset about me pinning you to the ground yesterday?"
"Zanshin," Lynn answered. "I'm always aware."
"Okay. Are you aware that we are Scottish, not Japanese?"
"What's up?"
"Nick's coming over next weekend, and I don't know what to give him. It's driving me bananas."
"Maybe something in the attic," Lynn commented.
The 2 went to look. When they got up there, a few things were noticeable. One of which was a CD they took a really close look at.
"What about this collection of songs?" Lynn asked. "A whole set of rock and roll songs from back in the day."
"That's a good idea," Lincoln said.
"I knew I could help."
"No good idea."
"What's so bad about it?"
"First, it says 'property of Luna Loud', and second, I'm not so sure what Nick's friends will say about rock and roll."
"Okay. Sorry about that idea being a bust."
"It's alright."
Lincoln gave Lynn a hug before leaving.
However, seconds after he left, Leni and Luan popped up out of nowhere.
"Danger!" they both shouted, causing Lynn to jump and give a high pitched scream because of how frightened she got.
"Aah," Leni said. "Now I see what you mean by Zanshin."
Lynn couldn't say anything.
An hour and a half later, Lynn ran into who she thought was Leni and Luan.
"Uh huh," Lynn said. "Nowhere to run."
She went after the 2 ladies. However, the real Leni and Luan were inside munching on Burgers.
"How great are these burgers?" Leni asked.
"I know," Luan commented. "Could they be any more juicy?"
The 2 of them giggled a bit. That was when they saw Lynn being chased by the other 2 ladies. Turns out they were just like Leni and Luan. Talk about a case of mistaken identity.
The end.
