Chapter 18
(With Naruto)
After his recent massacre at the orphanage yesterday. True enough Lucy had given Naruto a bath, and now the boy felt a lot better at what he did yesterday killing the staff there who starved him, occasionally beat him, and punish him for no reason when it wasn't his fault. Those kids who were also there would get him into trouble constantly and pin the blame on him for something he didn't do when he stayed there. Those kids would also take his stuff and not give it back, hell they would even break his staff. They would kick him out of his own bed forcing him to sleep on the floor without no pillow or blanket.
He killed them all. Except for one kid. Who he decided to spare.
"How are you feeling Naruto." asked Lucy his mother who walks in his bedroom seeing him sitting on his bed.
"I am doing fine mother." He says seeing her smile at him.
"Ready to go out for the day?" She asked seeing him nod.
"Yes I would like that. Where is Everyone else?" Naruto asked.
"Tsunade and Shizune went over to the Senju Compound home in konoha to pack up and take with them once we go back to Wave. Itachi, Yugao and Anko are currently out getting groceries so that they can cook dinner. Haku is here with us though." Lucy answered.
"Can Haku come with us?" He asked
"I don't see why not? Of course she can." Lucy says with him smiling. As he goes to put on his clothes and get Haku to come with him and his mother.
(With Jiraiya)
The Toad Sage is currently on Mt Myoboku looking at Ma and Pa who frowned at him.
"You need more training? What for exactly?" Pa asked frowning in suspicion at Jiraiya.
"Because I am fighting a very strong opponent in the chunin exams... and I need help to do it without sage mode..." Jiraiya says with both toads exchanging looks at one another and then back at Jiraiya.
"Who is your opponent?" Ma asked this time with Jiraiya slightly sweating.
Jiraiya couldn't afford to tell them the truth knowing they would be furious with him. They haven't been happy since he told them Naruto died on the same night Minato died. On the night of the Kyuubi Attack. Not to mention the toads never respected him like how they would respect Minato.
If they knew the truth They would beat him with an inch of his life. They would strip him of using sage mode and would probably banish him from their contract. To an extent they would cut their alliance with Konoha and would ally with Wave. He couldn't let that happen.
"Damn it. How can I say this without revealing to them that my opponent is Naruto?" He thought trying to come up with a lie for a name of the opponent he's fighting.
"Uh. My opponent. His name is... Menma! Menma! He's a student of Hanzo of the Salamander and he has a very unique bloodline that has invisible hands! I need help on how to counter it." Jiraiya answered hoping they brought the lie but their frown remained.
"Hanzo has a Student?" Pa asked seeing Jiraiya nod.
"Yes! He has a secret apprentice and is participating in the chunin exams! I need the training to counter it!" He answered.
"Hmmm... Very well... We will look into this training session and help you. Although the logically thing to counter such thing should be sage mode. Why can't you use sage mode?" Pa asked with Jiraiya giving him a look.
"Because I am forbidden from using sage mode... For this fight." He lied both toads looked at one another then back at Jiraiya.
"Very well... We will help you with this. We will get started very soon." Pa answered
"Thank you Ma and Pa. Looking forward to it. I have to go now, gotta check on my spy network." He says leaving the toads while both of them narrowed their eyes scowling after he left.
"He's hiding something from us. And I know it." Gamabunta says now making himself known
"Yes... There is something fishy about this whole thing about him wanting more training from us." Pa says gripping his cane.
"What is it, he could be hiding from us? That is the Question." Ma asked
"We will find out. Soon enough. Because obviously, he's lying." Pa says with a glare
( Back in Konoha)
Naruto is now in the village. Flanked by Haku and his mother.
The villagers who instantly saw them immediately ran in fear as they heard of the rumors of Naruto murdering a whole orphanage building only leaving one boy as a survivor. It terrified them.
They know he's not the same little boy they tortured and beat on.
Lucy having saw this put on a smile. Seeing the fear they have for her son.
"Where would you like to go Naruto?" Lucy asked her son.
"I'm hungry. Let's go to that ramen stand over there." Naruto points at Ichiraku Ramen stand.
"Okay then. Let's go there." She says as the three went to the stand.
( Meanwhile with Itachi and Co.)
Itachi, Yugao and Anko are on their way back to the Namikaze estate bringing their groceries.
Itachi turned around glancing up at the rooftops and he could have sworn he saw a figure following them.
Anko and Yugao noticed this.
"What's up Itachi?" Anko asked also looking at the Rooftops.
"Nothing. You guys go ahead." He says ominously
"I'll take his bags." Yugao says using her vectors grab hold of his bags.
"I'll meet you two at the estate. This won't take long." He says seeing the two nod as they walked away leaving just him on the street.
"You can come out Izumi," Itachi says as the Uchiha girl made herself known.
"Itachi-kun..." Izumi says softly seeing him for the first time...
"I.. I heard what happened..." She says.. Seeing him face her. As she looked at his features. Dark pink eyes, red hair and white horns on his head.
"So... Now that you know. Do you hate me too?" He asked staring at her with no expression on his face.
"N-No... I could never hate you... Your mother told me what happened." She says now walking towards him and hugged him.
Itachi was taken back by this. As he accepted the Hug.
"You don't care about my appearance?" he asks as she looked up at him.
"I don't mind your appearance at all. You still look the same to me. Even with the horns. On your head." She says with a smile and tears of relief.
"Why the tears Izumi?" Itachi asked.
"Because I've missed you so much. Ever since you've gone missing in action I've taken on more missions in hopes of finding you again. It saddens me that the clan hates you. Except for me and your mother..." She says looking down.
"It doesn't matter to me. I'm with a new clan now." he answered still acknowledging the fact he's a banished Uchiha clan heir.
"So this new clan? What is it? From what I've heard you have horns just like that Wave Daimyo and Naruto.. " She asked
"Come. This will be a story to tell. Let's grab some Dango." Itachi says as the two held hands and walked away.
( Back with Naruto)
Still at the ramen stand happy to see Teuchi and Ayame. Who were happy to see Naruto again. Along with meeting Lucy who's a Daimyo of wave and is Naruto's adoptive mother.
"We are grateful of you for taking care of Naruto Lucy-sama." Teuchi says looking at the pink haired Daimyo
"Yes. If you wanted to take in Naruto. Why couldn't you?" Lucy asked eating her shrimp ramen.
"The Hokage was the reason on why we couldn't adopt him." Teuchi says with a sigh.
"Understandable... " she frowned with Naruto glaring slightly that the Sandaime denied Teuchi and Ayame to adopt him.
"Are you happy with Her Naruto?" Ayame asked seeing the boy look at her.
"Yes. Ayame-Chan. She's the best mother ever. Isn't that right Haku-Chan." Naruto asks looking at his friend besides him.
"Most certainly." Haku answered who was also eating Miso Ramen.
"Since you two seem fond of wanting to adopt Naruto. I have a generous offer for the two of you. Since I am a Daimyo. I could offer you two to become chefs at my castle, thus granting you both asylum to wave." Lucy adds.
"You would offer that to us?" Teuchi replied with her nodding
"We should take the offer dad. It would be amazing if we become chefs for a Daimyo" Ayame chimed in. As her father was thinking this over. And is considering this.
"That would be a grand offer. We'll take it." Teuchi says with both Naruto and Lucy smiling.
"When these Chunin exams are over. I expect you two to pack up. Because we are leaving once this is all over." Lucy says with the two nodding.
"Understood." Teuchi says.
"Thanks for the meal. We should get going now." Lucy says reaching into her purse to take some money out but Teuchi stops her.
"Oh no Lucy-sama. You don't have to pay. This is on the house." He says
"All right. Come Naruto and Haku." Lucy says with the two now leaving the Ramen stand.
They walked away from it only to run into Team 8. That is led by Kurenai Yuhi.
Naruto eyed Shino... then eyed Kiba who has a puppy on his head. His eyes suddenly fell on a certain Hyuuga Heiress who looks at him with a blush.
"Naruto-kun.." Hinata thought
"Hinata..." Naruto thought.
Suddenly a much taller Hyuuga male got infront of Naruto's sight. It was Ko Hyuuga, Hinata's bodyguard.
Naruto frowned up at the man.
"So... this is Wave's Daimyo... and Anko works for her?" Kurenai thought looking at Lucy.
"We deeply apologize for getting in your way Lucy-sama." Kurenai says bowing to her.
"None taken." Lucy replied as she glanced at her son following his line of look seeing him face a little girl with indigo hair and has lavender colored eyes with no pupils.
"Allow us to introduce ourselves. I'm Kurenai Yuhi, Sensei and leader of Team 8. The boy in the sunglasses is Shino, the boy with the puppy is Kiba. And the girl is Hinata. And the man with us is-" Kurenai says but Ko cuts her off.
"Ko Hyuuga. Bodyguard of Hinata-sama." Ko introduced as Kurenai gave him a glare.
"A pleasure meeting you Lucy-sama.." Kurenai says in a respectful tone
"i can say the same to you." Lucy says
"I knew you looked familiar your that horned freak!"Kiba says pointing at Naruto with Lucy narrowing her eyes at the boy. Haku also glared at Kiba.
"Kiba! Show some respect!" Kurenai reprimanded him.
Hinata tries to look at Naruto but her bodyguard was blocking her view and it was starting to upset Naruto.
Hiashi wanted Ko to be a extra member on Team 8 as Hinata's bodyguard to keep her away from Naruto.
"I apologize for Kiba's attitude Lucy-sama." Kurenai quickly says
"That's fine. He better keep his mouth shut." Lucy says with a cold look at the boy who was sweating and was trying hard to not piss on himself from her look.
"Let's get going team 8." Kurenai says as her and her team walked around Lucy, Naruto and Haku. While Naruto and Hinata gave one last look at one another...
