The night skies were growing brighter, beginning to turn to dawn. Okey and Wambleeska sat at the top of an enormous mountain, ready for the Yuwipi summoning ceremony. Ehawee came as well, bringing the traditional drum with which to summon said spirits.

"Let us begin." Wambleeska spoke, talking stick in his left hand. "Ehawee, tie him up."

"Uh, I know I already said this but you sure this is positively gonna work?" Okey spoke as the young woman tied him to a pole with rope. "Also why're you tying me u—"

"The one who has the talking stick may speak," Wambleeska spoke, bonking the coyote with the talking stick.

"Ow—" Okey briefly gasped.

"—But to answer your question; "Is this gonna work?"" Wambleeska paused for a good five seconds. "Well….that's a resounding "maybe". Also, tying the one who asked for the ceremony up is the best way to ensure that it will go off without a hitch."

"Yeah, well I'm not really a big fan of the loincloth either..." Okey gazed down at the buckskin loincloth he'd been dressed in, the only thing preserving his modesty.

"Talking stick—" Wambleeska reminded, then bonked Okey on the head yet again.

The three gophers began to gather around Okey, Ruffled Feather lit a massive fire behind him, and then began to play the spirit drum. Ehawee and Wambleeska both joined hands and began to sing a traditional Sioux song together while Ruffled Feather played on.

"Woah…" Okey gasped as he watched the smoke rise up towards the purple-ish skies, dotted with millions of stars.

"Great trickster spirit, Mica, we ask that you come forth towards this mortal plane of existence and use your mighty power to defeat the menace of these settlers…" Wambleeska spoke, gazing up at the skies.

Meanwhile in the distance, Rico and Kit had still searched practically the entire frontier trying to find Okey, but to no avail.

"Bully!" Kit exclaimed, pouring himself a cup of coffee that he'd somehow managed to bring with him. "I'm telling you, Rico, we've searched for too long, let's return to the cam—"

"Sssh!" Rico shushed the Colonel. "Ah hear chanting..."

Meanwhile, the singing had still gone on for quite some time, and Okey was feeling a little tired.

"Y'know, I really think we should put up fer the night an—" Okey spoke to before contorting and exclaiming loudly. "—AAAAAAAAAAAGH!!"

An enormous flash of blue light emerged from the coyote's body and slowly began to shape itself from a formless blob into an ethereal coyote. The coyote-spirit-creature opened one massive, white eye at a time, staring down the coyote and three gophers.

This obviously was none other than the fabled trickster coyote, Mica. He was quite majestic and intimidating, and Okey (who was pretty terrified) had but one thing to say to Wambleeska about this behemoth--

"--Thought he'd be smaller."
