Chapter 12: Chaos Unleashed

Errol felt the hard stone make contact with his back as he was flung into the wall of Darkhaven, the Ape who had thrown him hollered with enthusiasm and drew a scimitar-like blade and charged at him. The Crimson Dragon caught the blade in between his palms, struggling to hold it back as he began to groan from the strength of the Ape, the weight of the blade and his massive attacker was more than he could handle, eventually Errol managed to kick him away, taking deep breaths as he slid down the wall. The Ape was perfectly fine, and hollered once more.

"Alright...come on then!" Errol challenged the Ape, who ran at him albeit a little goofy looking. The Crimson Dragon managed to roll out of the way of his oncoming swipe, before scratching the back of the Ape, making sure the cut was deep enough as he yelled in pain, Errol took a few steps back before lifting his arms out and drawing blood from the wound he had created. His attacker began to fall to his knees as the Crimson Dragon drew enough blood to create a red sword in order to match the Ape properly, said Ape slowly turned around, twirling the sword in his hand before swinging at him, which was countered by Errol's own sword as the blades clashed, it was a bit of a struggle for the Crimson Dragon as it meant that he needed to get up on his hindlegs, but overall he was fortunately able to hold his own..at least with a common Ape footsoldier. As they dueled, Errol couldn't help but think back to how this all started, taking very brief glimpses of the chaos that surrounded him while fighting, bodies of both Apes and Cheetah were strewn across the courtyard, sonic booms could be heard as Spyra punched her foes hard enough to practically shatter ribcages, and Strykore and Chief Prowlus were nowhere to be seen, it had all started so calmly, and now here they were. Errol recalled the events that led up to this moment...

4 hours earlier..

2 days had come and gone, and the word was set, the Cheetah warriors led by Prowlus, along with the two Dragons would be heading off towards Darkhaven to intercept Strykore before he had the chance to unleash his supposedly devastating superweapon. Within those 2 days, the armies from the North had in fact come to aid the Chief, but the others had not answered the call, filling them all with a sense of dread. Despite this, the Chief knew they had to move now, or else Strykore would be unstoppable. Now it had been almost a whole day since then, and the somewhat decently sized army had made significant progress marching towards Darkhaven, moving at a rather fast pace, not stopping for breaks at Hunter had done with the smaller party. Errol could feel the anxiety rising within him, this was it, it was now or never and he needed to stop Strykore, for her sake.

Spyra noticed that the Crimson Dragon had been keeping to himself for roughly the whole day, and went over to investigate his behavior as the army had very briefly stopped for rest. Obviously she knew what must be troubling him as that list had been quite limited these last few days, but it she knew it would be better to check on him rather than leave him alone with his thoughts all the way up to the final battle.

"Hey..you okay?" The Dragoness asked calmly, sitting on her haunches across from her companion who was resting on all fours, seemingly snapped out of his thoughts when he saw her looking at him.

"Huh? Y-Yeah I'm fine..sorry, just have a lot going on right now.." The Crimson Dragon trailed off, not making much eye contact with her.

"You're worried about the battle, aren't you?" Spyra further inquired, being met with a slow nod from Errol.

"Was it that obvious?" His own question was answered with a light chuckle from the Purple Dragon.

"There isn't really that much else to think about right now." She pointed out, lowering herself onto the grass so she could be more level with the Crimson Dragon, who sighed.

"I guess...it's just worrying to me that this could be the end...I know I shouldn't be scared of death, and yet every time I think about the coming fight, I tense up, I feel afraid. It sounds silly, I know." Errol explained, half expecting some kind of judgmental look from the Purple Dragon. Despite what his rational brain was telling him, he still felt anxious about her reply.

"I get it, I admit I'm feeling really terrified myself about all this, the idea of this fight being our last makes me tense too, but I have to do this, or else the whole world dies, and I can't allow that to happen." Spyra responded, taking a minute to reflect on her own inner fear, even though she had barely gotten any time to even know the world she lived in, the Dragoness was prepared to do the right thing to ensure it's survival. She was a Purple Dragon, and whatever that meant to these people, it was her responsibility to end Strykore's oppressive regime, no matter the cost. The Dragoness shifted her gaze up from the grass and back towards Errol, who was dragging his claw in the dirt.

"I guess...I mean, it's not like I don't want to do this, I just...can't help but feel scared." The Crimson Dragon felt shame at his inability to conquer this anxiety, however he was soon calmed when he felt Spyra's paw on his shoulder, her smile was comforting and reassuring.

"We'll get through this, I promise." The Purple Dragon's statement was reassuring but at the same time stung Errol as he remembered the promise he made to Crystal...before she died.

"I hope so.." His tail brushed through the blades of grass softly, both Dragons suddenly had their attention drawn to the clanging of a metal shield and they looked up to see Chief Prowlus standing alongside a cheetah soldier, whose sword was right on the shield, leading Errol to assume that he had made those noises.

"Attention everyone! I understand it has not been long since we stopped, but it is time for us to get moving again, within a few hours, we will arrive at Darkhaven, and time is of the essence for our success, let's move!" Prowlus declared and walked off.

"You heard the Chief, on your feet, everybody!" The cheetah who had been beside him added on, listening to the displeasured groans from the other soldiers. The two Dragons themselves simply stood up and followed the masses as they began to march off once more towards Strykore's fortress, which was not far in actuality. Errol took in this time to think about what Spyra had told him, it stuck with him, and in a strange way her words seemed to quell the fear, giving him a new resolution on having the will to fight on. He prepared himself for the worst.

Presently...

After recalling these events during his fight with the Ape, the Crimson Dragon recounted how they had finally made it, and confronted Strykore's army right as they prepared to set out with this massive Superweapon, a cannon, with the nexus crystal attached to it. A few dramatic speeches later about power and freedom and the fight ensued, however the battle was not going in the favor of the cheetahs, Strykore had prepared for this substantially, knowing full well an attack would be made on him. Another interesting detail to note was that Cynder was not present in the battle, nowhere to be seen in fact, which the Crimson Dragon found odd, despite that, he finally managed to disarm the Ape, swinging the scimitar out of his hand.

"I'd suggest you surrender." Errol recommended, the Ape slowly raised his hands, only to grin as the Crimson Dragon was knocked in the back of the head by another Ape, causing Errol to stagger away. He watched as the blood sword he had deformed into a pool of liquid once his concentration faltered. "So...hard way it is then.." The Crimson Dragon sighed as he commanded the blood pool, it swirled around his body before Errol directed it at the Apes, entrapping them in hardened chains. The Crimson Dragon then rushed them both, knocking them out with hard punches to the face and allowing the blood to flow off of their bodies. Errol took a few breaths before hearing shuffling behind him, whipping his head around and quickly ducking and dodging another attacking ape, controlling the blood and making it flow into his hands as a flexible rope like substance which could withstand the strength of the blade, the Crimson Dragon was able to use the blood flow to also act as a whip, keeping the Ape at a distance.

Errol formed and manipulated the whip as it absorbed the strikes of the blade and flowed seamlessly around the Crimson Dragon's wrists and arms while he blocked and whipped his opponents interchangeably and continuously. He wasn't quite sure where this skill was coming from, however he was not complaining as it was saving his life in that moment, he thrashed the blood whip at one of the Apes, knocking the sword he held out of his grip. Errol then turned to see the other Ape rushing him, the Crimson Dragon dodged a swipe, however it was not fast enough as he was unprepared for the Ape to immediately follow up with another attack, the scimitar in his hand slashed across Errol's chest, leaving a fairly deep cut as he yelled in pain.

The Crimson Dragon felt the mark, and noticed that blood was starting to drip out of the wound. Errol began to stagger as his blood whip deformed and he had to divert his focus to redirecting the blood he was losing back into the cut, despite this, Errol managed to stay on his feet, although he was forced to drop down to all fours, which provided the Apes a means to attack. His attackers managed to start kicking him down, hooting and hollering ravenously while Errol struggled to keep his focus and prevent his blood from leaving his body. Suddenly one of the Apes was hit by a massive purple blur moving at sonic speeds, as he rolled away the blur instantly stopped, revealing itself to be Spyra as she turned and looked at the other Ape with anger, her eyes suddenly gleamed a light blue and a stream of Ice blasted from her maw, taking the form of a massive shard that impaled the other Ape. She then landed on the ground and grabbed Errol before flying back up into the air, quickly bringing him to a secluded part of the courtyard, once they landed, Spyra looked at the slash on the Crimson Dragon's chest, and almost instinctively used her ice breath, gently blowing a frosty stream along the cut as it froze up.

"That should slow the bleeding, just, rest." The Dragoness placed her paw on his chest were the wound wasn't present, seeing that Errol was starting to relax, finally breaking his concentration on keeping the blood in his body and looking quite tired from the extreme effort he put up earlier. Spyra turned to leave when she felt a paw grasp her own, turning back to see Errol.

"No don't! It's not safe, it's just chaos and bloodshed.." He pleaded with her weakly, but she simply smiled and slowly let go of his paw.

"Hey, I'm a Dragon of Destiny, I'll be fine." The Dragoness was confident as she hurried back out into the fray, leaving Errol behind to rest. Spyra spread her wings and leapt into the sky, zooming through the air and tackling a Dreadwing. The Purple Dragon took them up a certain height, only to then kick the creature back down towards the ground, watching as it was flattened on the courtyard's tiles, Spyra then charged back down towards the ground, landing and sliding across the floor along with dousing hundreds of Apes in flames. As she stopped spinning, she took note of the nexus crystal which was seated at the top of the largely unguarded Superweapon, while the Dragoness didn't know what the crystal did, she didn't intend to stand by and find out. Spyra knew she needed to deactivate it and fast, Strykore may have vanished from the fight but he could very easily command the cannon from afar or order an Ape to fire it as a show of strength.

The Dragoness flew up towards the cannon, charging at it with immense speed, however before she could make contact with the weapon, Spyra was shot by a green laser beam, crashing her back onto the ground. As the Dragoness lifted herself back up, she saw that her attacker was a massive Ape, far larger than any of the others, he wielded two scimitar blades and had a green crystal eye alongside some kind of crown.

"The Purple Whelpling..at last I finally have the privilege of snuffing out your miserable life!" The Ape sneered smugly.

"And you are?" Spyra managed to stand up with ease, almost smirking.

"I am Gaul, and killing you will be my ultimate triumph and secure myself a high seat with lord Strykore!" Gaul laughed evilly as he brandished his swords, ready to claim his victory. Spyra, however, wasn't fazed by this and stood her ground.

"Alright then...come and get me, ugly!" She challenged, feeling a strange sense of cockiness, perhaps the sensation of battle increased her confidence, she wasn't sure, but what Spyra did know was that this monkey needed to be taken down a peg. The Dragoness spread her wings and charged at Gaul, who likewise let out a roar and rushed at her with his scimitars in hand, Spyra brandished his claws and the pair both leapt up at each other, clashing with each other as a loud metal slice could be heard and the two fighters crossed each other, creating an X in the air. As they landed back on the ground, Spyra quickly rotated back to face Gaul, growling as her throat illuminated a bright orange and a jet of fire blasted from her maw, however the large Ape blocked it with the metallic arm gauntlets he bore while running at her, twirling the swords in his hand before he tried to land a strike the Dragoness. However Spyra was fast and rolled out of the way, blasting Gaul in the side with a powerful blast of electricity and causing the Ape to stagger.

"Ah! Pathetic wretch!" Gaul snarled as he backhanded the Purple Dragon in the face, knocking her back slightly. Before she could get back up, Spyra was kneed in the face by Gaul, making her tumble back further. The Ape tried to knee her again, only this time Spyra grabbed his foot, feeling a newfound strength as her arms began to illuminate a vibrant green, the Dragoness growled and pushed back his attacker.

"Learning something new everyday, I guess." Spyra was impressed with her sudden feat of strength before standing back up. The Dragoness lunged at the massive Ape, who was still laying in the ground, and began to punch him repeatedly with her newfound strength. Unfortunately amidst the punching, Gaul caught one of Spyra's arms and slammed his head into hers which caused the Purple Dragon to stagger back, holding the impact point while her head rang violently. Right after this, the Ape blasted her with a green laser which came from his crystal eye, shooting Spyra into the air, however as the beam continued to blast against her, the Dragoness used her arms to shield herself, absorbing the energy with her impenetrable scales. After a bit of straining, the laser beam stopped and Spyra took the opportunity to charge down at Gaul, but she failed to notice that he moved to the side as when she slammed into the ground, the Dragoness was kicked hard in the back, causing her to tumble across the ground.

"Foolish Dragon, you are no match!" Gaul laughed confidently and raced forward to continue his assault, the Ape saw the Dragoness trying to lift herself up as she recuperated from the immense hit. Gaul leapt up in the air, bringing his sword down on her, however the sword was caught by Spyra, and utilized her new strength to crush the blade in her paw.

"You presume too much, pal." She kicked the Ape off of her in an impressive feat considering how heavy he must have been, the Dragoness then looked over at the cannon, spreading her wings and flying fast to try and reach the nexus crystal. However Spyra felt a tug at her leg as Gaul had jumped up and grabbed it, yanking her back down to the ground forcefully. After slamming her into the tiles, Gaul proceeded to hurl her from side to side, making sure each impact with the pavement was painful before he lifted up her limp form.

"Hmph, that was easier than I thought it would be.." The Ape sounded disappointed as he turned, preparing to drag her away, what he hadn't prepared for in his short-sightedness was that Spyra wasn't quite out of the fight yet as she woke up and instantly shot a fire blast at the back of Gaul's head, setting it ablaze as he yelled and tried to put out the flames. Once he had, he was too distracted to feel that the Dragoness had slithered out of his grip and she rammed her head straight into him which sent him flying. The Purple Dragon tried once more to direct her attention towards the cannon, only to bear a more grim expression as she saw Strykore was lowering himself down onto the Superweapon from the sky, Chief Prowlus was in his grip, limp, but seemingly just barely clinging to life as cuts and bruises littered his body. Once the sorcerer landed on the cannon, he tossed the Chief aside and activated some kind of console that was at the top of the weapon, causing the nexus crystal to illuminate while the cannon began to emit a light whirring sound.

"No you don't..." Spyra raced towards the Superweapon, only to feel herself being pushed onto the ground forcefully, the Dragoness craned her neck to see it was Gaul.

"You cannot stop this, whelpling!" He lifted her head up only to smash it back into the concrete, the Purple Dragon tried to push against it but Gaul was stronger, forcing her to watch. "Now before you die, you can witness the beginning of Strykore's undisputed rule, and the failure of your pathetic race of Dragons!" The Ape sneered while Strykore watched as the cannon finished charging.

"Now Prowlus, you old fool, you shall witness the destruction of your world!" The sorcerer grinned maliciously and pressed a large blue button, watching as the cannon unleashed a massive red laser beam which dragged along the floor as Strykore used his magic to rotate the cannon, it incinerated anything and anyone who the beam caught.

"No!" Spyra cried out, for reasons unknown her strength was faltering and Gaul was able to continue holding her down, in the wake of the first blast as it continued to fire upon any surviving cheetahs, the markings that were left behind looked like the cosmos itself was being torn apart. The Dragoness knew she needed to stop this, she felt a new sensation arising within her as her eyes illuminated a bright purple..as opposed to a normal shade of purple, Spyra growled with frustration.

"Now..any last words, whelpling?" Gaul asked, seemingly clueless to her impenetrable scales since he brandished a large dagger to stab her with.

"Yeah...I got a few for ya..." The Dragoness's body began to glow a faint purple, eventually a massive blast of purple energy emitted from her body as the Ape was knocked back. Upon looking up, Gaul was shocked to see Spyra levitating above him slightly, very pissed off. "See you in hell!" The Dragoness roared and flew at him with lightning speed, grabbing Gaul by the neck and hurling him in the direction of the cannon's laser beam, watching as the Ape was engulfed in the energy. Spyra then turned to the cannon itself, rocketing towards it with a determined expression, Strykore noticed this and used his magic to redirect the Superweapon towards the Purple Dragon, who gasped and used her arms to shield herself. It was surprisingly successful as it seemed like her powers were doing everything they could to withstand the beam, Spyra growled as she tried to advance, eventually the beam was strong enough to blast her into the ground, where it would continue to blast down on her.

"Come on now...just hurry it up and die." Strykore said in a surprisingly calm demeanor, despite the fact that the Dragoness could feel her body starting to burn, she persisted.

"Never!" Spyra's throat began to illuminate a bright purple. "For years you abused me, used me for your twisted experiments, you killed my brother! All of that ends tonight, the pain and the death, everything!" The Dragoness slowly began to stand up amidst the cannon's laser, continuing to use her arm to shield her face. Eventually the purple light in her throat grew bright as smoke bellowed from the sides of her maw, before it was all unleashed in a massive stream of Purple energy which countered the cannon's beam.

"What!? This..this can't be!" Strykore was genuinely shocked as Spyra began to push back against the laser with her newest breath. The Dragoness advanced towards the cannon, the spectacle of lights was mesmerizing as the reds and violets clashed, the Purple Dragon's determination was unstoppable, and she channeled her inner power to strengthen the beam she fired, letting out a yell of fury as the Purple beam was powerful enough to completely overwhelm the cannon, blasting it to pieces. Spyra stopped her energy blast as she took deep breaths, seeing that the cannon was in pieces yet the nexus crystal appeared to be undamaged, the Dragoness recalled what Errol had told her about it and made her move towards it, only to be hit with a blast of dark energy. As she recovered from the strike, she saw that it was Strykore who emerged from the rubble.

"I should've killed you when I had the chance!" The sorcerer fired more dark energy at Spyra who rolled out of the way, understanding that now this was the final duel.

Crystal roamed through a relatively small hallway, along the walls were paintings which depicted legendary events throughout all of history, she found these paintings to be somewhat calming for her soul as it allowed her to escape into her mind to wonder what it might've been like to be there herself. One painting she came across intrigued her the most, it seemed to be some kind of recreation of a battle between two Dragons and a massive creature whose appearance could be described as molten and well..dirt. What was more was that the two Dragons seemed to resemble her Aunt and Uncle, perhaps this was a battle they had participated in during their youth, she wasn't sure, what she could be sure of was that she was sitting here and wasting precious time while Strykore was preparing to wreak havoc on the world.

"Lost in thought?" The Dragoness was startled as she saw that Spyro had appeared seemingly out of nowhere, sitting on his haunches and inspecting the painting that Crystal was looking at.

"Huh?..oh..not really." Crystal trailed off.

"It is time." His response caught her attention as he gestured for her to follow him. "Come along now, I shall show you the way." Spyro lead his niece back down the hallway she walked through, and soon after he brought the Dragoness to the main library. The Chronicler sat down in front of the Hourglass within the middle of the room, and spoke some sort of mystical chant, prompting it to open up.

"This will lead you to Darkhaven, just be careful..the battle has already begun, and here." Crystal looked up as the large Dragon handed her some kind of satchel and a few red and green gems. "Use these sparingly, only when circumstances demand." She nodded in response to his instructions.

"Are you sure you can't come? We could use the help." Crystal inquired, to which Spyro solemnly shook his head.

"I can't..the timeline is too unstable at this point.." He trailed off, this time however the Dragoness rolled her eyes.

"Yeah I know...but..I mean seeing as how this timeline is already going to hell anyways and I just need to get to the nexus crystal to fix this, it wouldn't hurt for you to take a chance..have one last go as the legendary Spyro?" Crystal explained, giving the older Dragon pause as she turned to look at the large hole where the Hourglass had been. "Just a thought...goodbye..it was nice to meet you." The Dragoness lightly smiled as she spread her wings and flew down into the cavern below, leaving Spyro behind as he stared down into the cave.

"It was nice to meet you too, my dear.." He trailed off as he thought about her words, and the hourglass closed up.

Errol finally felt the strength to stand returning to him as he weakly peered around the corner where Spyra had placed him, he looked at the carnage and the bloodshed as the cheetahs who remained continued to valiantly fight the Apes. The Superweapon was in shambles yet he could make out both Spyra and Strykore fighting not far from it, the Crimson Dragon knew he needed to reach the nexus crystal before Strykore could, and find some way to restore the Skylands. Thinking fast, Errol hurried as quickly as he could towards the gem, staying out of the general vicinity of the battle.

"Come on...almost there.." The Crimson Dragon ignored the soreness of his body and continued to rush forward, eventually he was practically right on top of the nexus crystal, however he had to take cover from the light show that was Spyra vs. Strykore, the Dragoness was blasting him profusely with her new purple energy, which was giving the sorcerer's own Dark Magic to the test. The Crimson Dragon crawled through the wreckage of the Superweapon before he finally found the gem.

"Yes!" Errol exclaimed as he grasped the gem and clutched it to his chest, as this was happening, Strykore had gained the upper hand over Spyra as he managed to blast her away with a powerful blast, it was then he turned to see Errol preparing to run with the nexus crystal.

"Ah, another child attempts to thwart my plans." The sorcerer floated towards the Crimson Dragon.

"No..Errol, run!" The Purple Dragon caught sight of this as Errol looked over and grew fearful as he saw Strykore approaching, Spyra moved fast as she charged at her combatant, ramming into the sorcerer at full speed and sending them both tumbling through the wall of Darkhaven, and leaving dust in their wake. Errol took deep breaths as he hurried off again, his run turning into a limp as his muscles were giving out on him due to his injuries. The Crimson Dragon needed to hurry as he was grabbing the attention of more and more Apes, who noticed the reflective gem in his paws.

"Capture the Dragon! Regain Strykore's power source!" It was if the entire hoard of Strykore's army heard this command as they raced towards Errol, hooting and hollaring as they seemed to forget about the remaining cheetahs.

"Oh you've got to be kidding me!" The Crimson Dragon stated, clearly annoyed as he picked up the pace, however it didn't take long for him to be surrounded. "So much for running..." Errol kept the nexus crystal close to his chest, preparing to put up a good fight.

Meanwhile...

Spyra and Strykore crashed through the halls of Darkhaven, eventually landing in what seemed to be some kind of mess hall, both warriors managed to get on their feet, with the Dragoness deciding to chuck an unfinished meal off of one of the school cafeteria-esque tables. Strykore quickly stopped the meal with his magic and flung it aside, laughing.

"You really aren't that bright are you?" The sorcerer stated confidently, Spyra repeated the action, only this time she grabbed the table itself, yanking it off the floor and the bolts that were holding it down as she held it with both arms, with relative ease before she hurled it towards Strykore, which surprised him, yet he still stopped the table with his magic and in fact tore it apart.

"Don't you see? I cannot be beaten by simple-" The sorcerer was cut off as he was hit through the wall by a stream of purple energy from Spyra.

"You talk too much..." The Purple Dragon grimaced before flying after him, entering another identical hall as she looked around.

"Clearly you don't talk enough, look at you, the mighty Purple Dragon, and you're too uncertain to even face me!" The voice of Strykore echoed through the halls. "You're uncertainty is your weakness, it is what kept you from saving your brother." The sorcerer carried on.

"No..shut up! I was barely a week old, no one could ask that of anyone!" Spyra justified herself.

"You are certain of this? Clearly you don't understand how the world works...the strong survive, but the weak perish, and in your weakness, I killed your unborn brother...with but a thought!" As this monologue finished, the Dragoness was hit in the back by more Dark Magic, sending her flying across the hall before she crashed through the wall at the corner, which caused her to land in some kind of detention level. Spyra winced as she rested her paw on her back, she actually felt that one.

"The Purple Dragon?" She slowly turned to see a massive figure lurked in the cell, serpentine and lithe in appearance, eventually it revealed itself to be a massive black Dragoness with a ruby underbelly, and white markings on her face..Cynder, Strykore's pet.

"You? What are you doing here?" Spyra was greatly confused, asking her while keeping her gaze forward, trying to see Strykore through the dust that was blowing through the air following her impact with the wall.

"I...I don't know...it all started with the visions...I can see him...he tells me this world is false, he goes against everything I believe in...that Dragon...a Purple Dragon." Cynder seemed to have started rambling to herself, which only further confused Spyra.

"Ookay then..." Suddenly a blast of Dark Magic hit her once more, only this time she was able to successfully block it, seeing Strykore levitate into the detention room.

"I see you found my traitorous worm." The sorcerer spat with disgust, watching as the Dragoness seemed to be going crazy. Spyra entered a battle stance.

"This ends now!" The Dragoness stated confidently, while Strykore looked away dismissively.

"On that, we agree." He replied, Spyra lunged at him, only to be backhanded by the sorcerer, after which he lifted her with his magic and sent her flying as she crashed through the walls once more before finally falling back out onto the courtyard beside Errol, who was still surrounded by Apes, along with a small group of surviving cheetahs.

"Oh hey, welcome to the party." The Crimson Dragon was quick to help her up as they found themselves both guarding the nexus crystal which Errol had kept tightly in his grip. Soon Strykore levitated through the hole Spyra had made.

"Now..are you prepared to meet your fate?" He asked condescendingly, in reply, both Dragons and the surviving cheetahs tensed up and readied themselves to fight. "Very well...destroy them!" Strykore commanded, the Apes prepared to advance when a crack in the sky could be heard, Spyra and Errol looked up in confusion as they saw a red light illuminate the night sky. They both became more concerned as the light grew closer to them and was going to land where they were standing, the light made collision with the ground and emitted a red electrical shockwave which blasted all of the Apes back along with Strykore. Errol tried to wave the dust away to no avail, however the shape which soon emerged from the fog made his heart skip a beat.

"Crystal!?" He exclaimed in astonishment as he saw the familiar black Dragoness before him, her injuries had vanished, replaced with a small little satchel. "You..you're-"

"Fine? Yeah, yeah I am..had some help, and from the looks of it, you could use some right about now." She cut off her friend with a smirk as the trio of Dragons all turned to see Strykore regaining his balance.

"More of you..very well, I suppose the whole world wishes to die today..attack!" The sorcerer bellowed, prompting the Apes that had recuperated to charge once more, Crystal readied herself with Spyra and Errol close behind, now it was a fight.

Yo yo, how's it going, I would like to address something, primarily the fact that this story is moving at an admittedly break neck speed. All I can say in regards to that is that this story isn't necessarily supposed to be a deep and long story which dives into the psyches of the characters, more so just a fun little adventure which also conveniently reboots my stories and whatnot. I suppose I felt like I owed some kind of explanation for that, now then, we're reaching the endgame, and the way the ending goes down might surprise ya, later gamers.
