On a cold night in Fuyuki, two men glared at each other. Red and blue. Aggressive and passive, the two were pure opposites. It didn't matter where or when the two always met.

The servant in blue gave a bestial smile and spoke, "You don't look like a saber to me… you must be the servant of the bow" the servant in blue relaxed his posture as his enemy did not represent any danger, "Come on Archer, I'll let you pull your bow".

The red-robed servant just stared at him without showing any emotion.

A girl was behind the man, she was looking at the archer's back as if she wanted to see right through the man's soul. The girl noticed that the archer grips the hilt of his short sword and felt a large amount of mana emanate from the man's body.

The spearman was still waiting for his opponent to draw his bow, it was as if the man in blue was sure that victory was already written.

Although…

The man in red disappeared, the ground beneath him cracked.

The spearman's eyes widened in surprise, and his instinct screamed to move or he would die. And so, at an incredible speed, the spearman ducked, preventing his head from being ripped off and with his spear blocked the next blow that came making the spark fly all over the place.

And so the two fought that cold, lonely night. The demigod against the mortal.

After all, that was the reason for the existence of servants, their only purpose was COMBAT.

Grand Order

-9-

"Oh, what do we have here. I must admit this is my type of rain. Don't you agree miss" the son of the God of light smiled holding the girl who fell into his arms.

One wheel chair tipped over on its side with a crooked wheel, and the other went flying across the Chaldea core room.

Ritsuka was curled up in Cuchulainn's arms blinking not understanding what happened. Everything happened so fast.

Mashu was on the floor in an uncomfortable pose, six knees were almost touching her forehead and she was turned upside down but still holding the serum connected to Ritsuka's arm.

Scathach was in a similar pose to Mashu but his knees were up against the wall and the wheel of the wheelchair stuck in one of his legs.

"Now, could you tell me what's going on?" Cuchulain smiled looking at the girl in his arms.

The girl blinked and snapped out of her trance, "Oh thank you Cuchulainn, you are a lifesaver" she said as the demigod carefully placed the girl on the ground.

"Looks like things didn't go as planned eheh" she laughed nervously.

The demigod raised an eyebrow, "Did you have something planned?" Upon hearing the words Ritsuka felt as if a punch had landed on her face.

"You don't have to be so mean" said the girl with two fingers connected and constantly moving them.

"Haha sorry but it's not everyday someone comes falling from the sky" the demigod smiled and heard a grunt behind him, "And are you ok teacher?"

The goddess turned and pulled the wheel that was attached to her leg, pulling it off like it was nothing.

"What a fragile thing, this wheelchair. I didn't expect it to break so easily" said the goddess as she got up.

Scathach walks towards the purple haired girl and pulls her arm lifting her as if she is weightless.

Mashu mumbled, "Thank you" as she stayed by her master's side so the serum wouldn't come off her arm.

"So… Can someone explain what's going on?" Cuchulain removed the Hood to get a better view.

"W-well" Ritsuka gave a nervous laugh. But she was interrupted by an angry voice.

"Have you lost your sanity?! Chadea's core is no place to be play with!" Davinci yelled in frustration.

Everyone put their hands over their ears at Davinci's scream, the employees just watched the situation with sweat falling from their faces.

Davinci pointed at Ritsuka, making the girl jump in surprise.

"You… Why are you out of bed? You should be resting until next week" Davinci scolded the girl.

Ritsuka rubbed her cheek nervously, actually even Mashu got nervous.

"I got the girl out of that depressive place, it was time to get back on track" Scathach crossed her arms.

Strange... Davinci noticed that the goddess was more and more adopting habits that the archer had.

"That was irresponsible of her Scathach, she needs to recover" said Davinci, placing a hand on the bridge of his nose next to his eyes in frustration.

"How will the girl go to the next singularity if she's trapped in a room" the goddess said, making Davinci pinch her nose even more.

Scathach…

Ritsuka blinked as the goddess said, "Wait, another singularity has already appeared? So fast!"

"No Ritsuka, just some distortions. We are predicting that a new singularity will open, we intend to wait for you to recover to tell the news" Davinci said, narrowing her eyes at the goddess. The woman just snorted and put her weight on the left leg.

"What a way with words, teacher" Cuchulainn said leaning against the wall.

Scathach was not pleased with his student's insolence.

"Tell me Satenta, where is the spear I gave you?" Cuchulain on hearing this broke out in a cold sweat.

"Hehe I don't want to talk about it" he nervously looked away from his teacher.

"Don't worry senpai, the singularity hasn't formed yet, you'll have time to recover" Mashu said reassuring his master.

It seems to have worked, Ritsuka seems to be calmer. And then she looked at Scathach.

"So that's why you got me out of the room, isn't it?" Ritsuka narrowed her eyes at the goddess who just looked away.

Ritsuka just sighed, "Could you get this thing off my arm at least?" She pointed to the plug on her arm that Mashu was holding.

Everyone looked at the girl's arm and stomped.

"Can someone take the serum out of Ritsuka's arm please?" Davinci said.

The employees listened to the servant and went to remove the serum.

Mashu was looking from side to side as if looking for something.

"Something wrong little girl?" Cuchulainn's voice caught his attention.

"I don't see Doctor Romani calling one," the shield servant said.

Davinci sighed, "I think you already know where he is and what he's doing"

Upon hearing this the girl's cheeks study themselves, "I can't believe the doctor is watching that again. Am I going to have to break his television again" the girl said in a very cute way.

Footsteps echoed down the hall and into the living room, Davinci looked to see who it was.

"Hey chest man, I'm bored tell me when the next singularity will start… oh are you still alive?" Elizabeth arrived speaking in a very loud voice.

Davinci scowled, "Elizabeth I told you I haven't confirmed the singularity yet and stop calling me that!" scolded the servant.

"And you can't spend time with the other servants, you weren't trying to convince Siegfried of something ?" said Davinci to the girl.

"Hello to you too, viper" said Ritsuka with an employee putting a bandage on where the serum was to stop bleeding.

The little spearwoman narrowed her eyes but before she could do anything, Cuchulainn appeared in front of her.

"I love to watch a fight, but I don't think this is the time or place for it." The caster glanced at the spearwoman sideways.

Elizabeth made a 'Tsk' with her mouth and spoke.

"It's not my fault that Siegfried is being so stubborn" her tail tapped the floor a few times as she crossed her arms and looked away.

"Oh, looks like someone got rejected" the demigod smirked.

"SHUT UP, YOU GOT IT WRONG!" Elizabeth screamed in embarrassment, her face was all red and her tail was up.

"And besides, no one can resist my charm, I'm too cute for that. He's just being stubborn is all" she said with her tail swaying from side to side.

"He's not married or anything…" Ritsuka said having her mouth covered by Mashu's hand.

Elizabeth narrowed her eyes at the orange haired girl again.

"Hm, in time he'll see what the best choice is. Besides, she's not here" Elizabeth's tail tapped the ground several times.

"You're just a homewrecker" Ritsuka had taken Mashu's hand away from her mouth only for Mashu to place it in her mouth again preventing her from continuing to speak.

"I don't like you…" Elizabeth's tail stopped moving as the servant glared at the girl.

Ritsuka laughed nervously, removing Mashu's hand from her mouth.

Scathach was looking down the hall as if expecting someone.

"Speaking of which, where is the archer? I think I saw a blur in the hall that looked like him, while Scathach was pushing the wheelchair" It seems that Ritsuka read her thoughts.

"I think I saw him talking to Miss Martha and Miss Jeanne" said Mashu, causing the goddess to narrow her eyes.

She didn't like it.

"I'll let you know when the singularity appears so, you don't need to come here all the time, Elizabeth. Besides, I need to work and for that I need to concentrate" Davinci said the servant with the tail and horns.

"Why are you talking to me like I'm a child?" Elizabeth narrowed her eyes.

"Oh come on, let's go out now!" Davinci started pushing Elizabeth out of the room.

"Hey hey stop it Hey!" And so Davinci and Elizabeth disappeared down the hall.

"Well… I think we could eat something" when Ritsuka said her stomach rumbled quite loudly.

Mashu smiled, "Well, I'll let Mister Cuchulainn accompany you senpai" Ritsuka looked at Mashu and Cuchulainn raised his eyebrow.

"Are you going somewhere Mashu?" Ritsuka moved her head to the side.

Mashu nodded in agreement.

"I'll check on the doctor and bring him back to work" the purple haired girl snapped her fingers, sending a shiver down Ritsuka's spine.

And so the girl left.

"I've never seen this side of Mashu before, I think it's best never to piss her off" Ritsuka said looking at the girl's back.

When Ritsuka would ask Scathach if she wanted to join her for something to eat, the goddess was no longer there.

Ritsuka blinked and then looked at Cuchulainn who smiled.

"You don't even have to ask Miss, who would I be to refuse my master's request" the caster offered his arm to the master who accepted.

She laughed, "what a gentleman".

And so they left.

-1-

"So… are you going to go or…" the archer said as he walked down the hall.

"You know, something tells me you want to be alone or you don't like people very much" Martha said, crossing her arms.

"Besides, we don't have anyone to talk to," said Jeanne.

"And that woman Maria, you seem to be on good terms with her" said the archer trying to get rid of the two.

"She seems to be busy" Jeanne said, remembering that the woman was talking to Mozart.

"So, without anyone you decided to bother me…" he crossed his arms and narrowed his eyes at the two.

Jeanne narrowed her eyes at the man who raised an eyebrow at the woman.

"That's enough of your rude attitude!" The saint of the flag grabbed the man's arm and started pulling him down the hall.

"Oye, stop it, what happened to you?" he complained to the saint, but did nothing to challenge the woman.

"We all have to live together so let's learn to get along, whether you like it or not" Jeanne left dragging the archer through the corridors.

"Hey you, she's your friend, do something" the archer said to Martha who just laughed at him.

The archer looked at Jeanne and opened his mouth to complain to the woman, but the man felt another hand holding his other arm making the archer and Jeanne stop.

"Even you woman…" the archer turned to Martha but she wasn't the one holding his other arm.

"Scathach?" The archer raised an eyebrow at the goddess.

"..."

"Can I help with something?" The woman looked strange.

She was wearing her mask.

"You look like you're having fun" even with the mask you could see that the goddess was smiling.

A chill ran down Jeanne and Martha's spine, causing Jeanne to let go of the Ranger's arm.

"Jeanne and Martha were…" he was interrupted.

"Ah, you refer to the two by their first names. Really having fun don't you think" the goddess said, squeezing the archer's arm.

"Okay, let go now" the archer's expression turned serious.

"And why would I do that? From what I saw you didn't mind the other one holding your arm so why would it be any different with me?" The grip increased.

"I won't say Scathach again, besides Jeanne is just Martha…" he was interrupted.

"Jeanne Jeanne Martha Martha you really like saying these women's names don't you think, SENPAI" The grip on the man's arm tightened.

SCARY was the feeling that the Saints felt.

"..." the expression on the archer's face turned really serious, as if the man was about to attack.

"That will be last warning Scathach" The man's eyes were empty like he was a lifeless machine.

"Or what senpai?" The grip increased.

"I think we better calm down here, we were just trying to get along since we're going to live together. You can come too, how about that?" Jeanne closed her eyes and smiled with a sweat breaking out on her face.

Martha looked nervously at Jeanne.

"I guess those weren't the best words to choose Jeanne with" Martha whispered.

"We get along… yes yes we will get along. And hold hands jumping over rainbows", the grip on her arm increased and the archer didn't like it.

The situation was made worse by Santa's comment.

And the archer reached his limit, he had warned the woman.

"Doctor there you are!" Mashu told the man in the pink robe a headband saying I Magi and two pink celebratory flags.

The doctor was paralyzed looking at the girl.

The girl sighed, "Do I really have to break your television again Doctor?"

The man started to sweat.

"I was just taking a break from work, you know how stressful it is stressful don't you know everyone needs a break now and then don't you agree?" the man said nervously.

Mashu didn't buy the explanation.

"Please don't break my television Mashu" Romani looked down.

"You know your work is important, doc you can't be running off to watch a girl on the Internet.

"Magi Mari is more than a girl on the Internet, you would never understand Mashu" Romani looked offended by what she said.

Mashu approached Doctor Romani and hugged him, it was a tight hug that made the doctor blink in surprise.

"Something wrong Mashu?" The man was worried about the girl.

She shook her head in denial, "The next singularity is about to form so I'd like to hold you a little. There's always the possibility that I won't return, you know. So I want to cherish this moment with you" Her eyes widened with the girl's comment.

"Hey what are you talking about of course you're coming back Mashu, don't say those things. You're coming back got it" the man held the girl's shoulders looking into her eyes.

Mashu's eyes widened and she hugged him again.

"Thank you Doctor Romani, for taking care of me" she squeezed the man for comfort.

The doctor blinked and smiled, "I told you I would take care of you and that's what I'm doing and always will" he returned the hug.

Their moment was interrupted by an incredibly loud noise.

?!

"What was this ?" Mashu said separating from the doctor.

"I don't know but it seems serious to me" the two looked at each other and ran from where the noise of the explosion came from.

Really having famous and powerful people from different eras and personalities could be a headache to deal with, it was like stepping on thin ice, care had to be taken at all times.

A huge explosion destroyed part of the corridor, letting in snow.

Red and blue lights flickered outside the Chaldea, disappearing along with sparks and metallic clatters.

Scathach jumps dodging the archer's blow and uses a rune in the air giving an increase in speed and so she advances giving a boost in the air.

The archer blocked but was dragged with the goddess.

"What's wrong, senpai, too fast to…" the archer answered with a punch making her separate from the man.

The woman went rolling in the snow, digging the tip of her spear into the ground to stop it from rolling. The goddess notices the man on top of her covered in shadows and a crimson spear in his hand.

The eyes of the goddess when she saw the image of the man on top of her.

With quick reflexes she blocked the attack leaving the two spears in a parallel position.

The two began delivering incredibly precise blows, rotating their bodies with great delicacy way. The blows were exactly the same as if Scathach was fighting herself.

The two landed a strong blow making the sound echo throughout the entire place.

The archer gave the goddess a piercing look.

"Who do you think you are to give me orders " said the archer.

ALAYA

"I'm not your slave you bitch"

NO CHOICE

The goddess hearing this gave a wide smile.

"I didn't know you could be so violent senpai, is it your fetish? Do you like calling me a bitch? What are you going to do with my body now?" The sarcastic comment made the archer grind his teeth.

He held the woman's spear in one hand and raised it in the air then delivered a powerful kick.

The goddess blocked making the sound of the blow echo. Scathach was launched into the air.

The goddess twisted her body and gripped her spear firmly.

"Haha I like what you're doing senpai, I like your expression" a crimson light began to form on the goddess's spear.

The archer held the spear firmly and the same light began to form on his spear.

"That's fine, let's go…" she was interrupted by a blast of black prana that shot through the middle of the fight, forcing Scathach to cancel the Noble Phantasm and spin her body to dodge. The archer just stood there in the same pose watching the black zip pass without any expression.

"Tell me goddess why are you attacking my archer?" The darksaber said as the snow fell.

"Your archer? I ask why you are interrupting my moment with my senpai" the goddess said, turning the spear and pointing it at her.

"Your senpai? I never expected that the goddess Scathach would be fighting over a man, not worse trying to steal one that doesn't belong to her. Pathetic" Artoria said with a smile on her face, sticking her black sword in the snow.

Scathach blinked and looked at King Arthur.

What did she say ? It wasn't her fault the way she was.

It wasn't her fault that she would live forever.

It wasn't her fault that she would always be alone.

It wasn't her fault that the only man who caught her interest ignored her and treated her like something not worth his time.

It wasn't her fault that VIOLENCE was the only thing that made the man pay attention to her.

It's not her fault that she didn't want to feel alone anymore.

It wasn't her fault she felt REJECTED.

That man played with her feelings and left her fascinated with him. The man was never afraid of her or intimidated by her, never revered or prayed to her and never asked her for favors, he treated her like anyone else, in fact he rejected her and her advances hurt her in a way she never would have thought possible. .

In her entire existence she was never interested in anyone, it didn't matter if it was human or God's. Scathach 's only wish was to DIE.

But the man got her attention and she wanted to be accepted, but the man hurt her by interacting with other women. It seemed the man was happier than when he was with her.

It wasn't her fault that the Archer hurt her pride that made her a WOMAN.

The archer arched his body like an animal ready to strike prey, but his eyes widened at the sight of something he never expected to see.

TEARS

Tears fell down Scathach's face. The goddess let go of the spear, causing it to sink into the snow.

Tears and tears fell on the goddess's cheek.

Even Artoria's eyes widened in surprise, never would she have expected the woman to show a moment of weakness.

Although…

Tears rolled down the goddess's cheek and fell onto the snow.

Scathach slowly moved his hand to his cheek and felt something wet.

"What is that?" She hadn't known what tears were for a long time. Even the man brought something the goddess didn't know she had, even if it was painful.

"Am I… crying? Why am I crying?" Her knees went weak and she let her knees hit the snow.

Siegfried and Kiyohime arrived at the scene and saw the three of them in the middle of the snowstorm.

"What's going on here? Mates shouldn't fight. The best way to resolve…" he is interrupted by Kiyohime's hand.

"She… is crying" Kiyohime could identify a wounded heart, after all hers had been broken countless times.

The dragon slayer looked at Kiyohime and then at the goddess.

The two Saints just watched from afar.

"I think it hurt her more than I expected" Jeanne said, she knew why Scathach is acting this way after all any woman would do something similar when noticing that the person she liked didn't give a shit about her or didn't show it, no matter how hard her tried. And the fact of the goddess's arrogance didn't help much, she had lost the touch of talking to people.

"It seems that even Gods get hurt…" Martha said, looking away and noticing a group running towards the place.

Mashu and Doctor Romani were approaching.

Cuchulain was carrying Ritsuka in his arms.

"Why does all the craziness in the world have to happen here, there wasn't even time to eat!" The orange haired girl complained.

Scathach looked at the archer with his body shaking, "Hey… archer, why am I crying? Why… Did you do this to me? Why did you make me feel weird? Just to hurt me. Hey hey tell me something" she looked at him with tears falling.

"You chose the worst person possible woman. You should forget that I exist just like everyone does sooner or later" the archer said looking to the other side.

The goddess blinked at the man's response.

"Shi–" the saber muttered looking at the archer.

"Nothing good comes from me woman, choose the least painful decision and forget about me" he started to walk with no expression on his face.

SLAVE

STUCK

NO SALVATION

The goddess blinked and her eyes were following the man, she raised her hand as if she wants to reach him.

"What is… Scathach why is she crying?" Ritsuka said in Cuchulainn's arms.

"Professor…" the forest mage muttered.

The goddess blinked, taking no more of the consuming silence.

She opened her mouth and...

"HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA…. Haaaaaaaaaa…. Haaaaaaaaaaa" Tears fell down her face as the woman cried, she hit the ground violently causing a tremor but she didn't stop hitting.

Her cry echoed throughout the venue for everyone to hear.

Servants weren't just tools after all COMBAT wasn't all they did, they were once living beings with desires and feelings too.

As the goddess wept, Chadea's planet-shaped core began to spin until it stopped in one place and a dot appeared and blinked.

The place was…

ROMA

-A-

Author

Finally the singularity of Rome will happen after thousands of years, I would like to let you know that I will change some things to better fit the story as I was playing the singularity again and I noticed that it does not translate well from the mobile game story to a simple story, it must be that's why anime has such a hard time telling them without sounding mediocre. I'm talking to you about the animation of the first singularity.

Well, my purpose with this chapter is to try to demonstrate that the chaldea team is not pure rainbows and glitter with fantastic teamwork. Rome's singularity will start with conflict between them and it's up to everyone to resolve at least part of it to do the job right, I'll try to think how I'm going to work on that aspect.

Tell me what you think of the chapter if the concept is cool or if you just found it too unnecessary?

Well, the next update will be Honkai Impact 3rd.

See you in the next chapter a million years from now...
