Tenma bit the nail of his thumb as he thought about the possibilities while staring intensely down on his opened bag seated on his table with narrowed eyes, and his nearby classmates assumed he'd kill his bag for no reason with his seemingly cold expression.

(It's just how he looks like when he thinks... sometimes.)

"Uh, Tenma?"

He was brought out of his stupor when Shinsuke called him causing him to notice that he had been biting on his nail a little too hard and any more than that he'll ruin his nail. He slowly looked at his friend and put his hand down along with the arm that was supporting his elbow.

Tenma tilted his head in question and in return Shinsuke asked what was wrong to which the former replied with, "I forgot my math homework."

Well, doesn't that sound so cliché?

He completed his math assignment earlier than expected, but he forgot to put it back in his bag! He most likely still has it neatly stacked on top of his shelves. He was in a rush that he forgot that today's the passing date.

"Didn't peg you to be the forgetful type," Tsurugi chimes in as he stood beside Tenma with one of his hand digging inside his pocket while the other holding a juice box. "since you always seem punctual." He stated before adding, "But then again you were always clumsy."

Tenma sighed but doesn't say anything to retaliate at the distinct teasing.

"Oh no, what are you gonna do?" Asks Hikaru and soon, Kariya and Aoi joined. "Math is our next period too," Aoi says softly, frowning however Kariya smiles. "Welp! You can always just skip and say that you had a bad stomach ache. Just sleep your worries off on one of the infirmary beds that way you'll be excused." He grins as he laid his elbow over Hikaru's shoulder and leaned his weight on him to which the other protest.

Then Hikaru chastised Kariya for that idea but unbeknownst to them, that was actually one of the things Tenma planned to do but soon discarded it. He could also come clean about his homework and pass it tomorrow but considering how their math teacher is like...

"Excuses, excuses! You didn't do your homework, didn't you? Tsk, I expect better."

His eyes drooped, 'Yeah, she'll definitely say something like that.'

Tenma was about to sigh again when he blinked, making a small humming sound when an idea popped up thus attracting the attention of his friends. "I'll text my housemate," He replied to their questioning expressions as he took out his phone from his pocket and began texting the said housemate.

Thankfully the moment Tenma sent a message, asking if he is free, he replied a few moments later.

H.I
I am. I don't have any classes and I don't have anything to do at the moment. Aki-nee scolded me though, I almost burned myself with the invention I am working on.

M.T
Be careful next time😅 But anyway, can I ask a favor? Could you get my math homework for me? It's on top of the shelves, you'll know what it looks like when you see it.

H.I
Okay.
Don't forget next time.

Tenma smiled in relief only to give a sheepish expression upon reading the last message the other had sent.

M.T
Hai hai. Thank you, Itona. I owe you one!

Tenma lets out a pleased, relieved hum and as he lifted his head up to face his face with a smile he says, "Well, this fixes things. Everything will work out somehow." then tucks his phone inside his pocket.

"We have 30 minutes left until Nishida-sensei comes in, I can make it in time."

Fifteen minutes later the door slid open in an abrupt manner and a swarm of their classmates rushed in.

The students inside were baffled with their behavior especially with the way they looked panic and only then one announces that their teacher is coming.

"What? So early?" One student asked in disbelief. "She's pissed!" Another replied in terror causing Tenma to grimace and furrow his brows.

He felt eyes on him and he doesn't need to check that it was his friends. His 'delivery' hadn't arrived yet and with the current predicament of their teacher approaching so early, they're worried that Tenma might fall victim into Nishida-sensei's tantrums.

Tenma on the other hand wondered what's taking Itona so long (he's getting a little impatient) and his question was soon answered by the chime of his phone. Turning it on he sees the notification over his lock screen wallpaper.

H.I
I'm here. I had a run-in with some old bullies.

Tenma was struck with guilt for a moment for being impatient but then frowns in sympathy upon reading the last sentence twice.

H.I
I'm somewhere in the trees near the field but this is as far as I can go, the guards said that you have to get it here.

Tenma stood up and walked to the window, where he could see the field, the courtyard, and the school's gates and immediately his brain began to work its gears.

The distance from the gates to the school building is approximately fifteen to twenty minutes unless you run.

The faculty room is located somewhere on the third floor underneath the principal's office, and it takes exactly fifteen minutes to walk — ten minutes if you walk quickly — to get from there to their second-floor classroom.

Looks like he has no choice.

Without even thinking twice, Tenma opens the window.

The guards wouldn't let him in at first. Well, that's to be expected anyway but they were kind enough not to shoo him away immediately when he told them that he's just bringing in a delivery for a student that he knows and it doesn't take long for the guards to guess that it's homework.

And so the guards allowed him permission inside but only until the field.

His back is pressed against the trunk of a tree that has lavender-pinkish leaves. Itona busies himself with his phone with one hand, going through different pdf files he had downloaded and each of them displayed various blueprints and on his other hand is a brown folder.

Itona diligently places Tenma's homework, which consists of just a single bond paper, inside his own, slightly-outdated folder so that it won't get crumpled on the way here. He had chosen the parkouring route halfway here when his persistent previous classmates (prior to him being in CLass 3-E) wouldn't let him go.

He heard a rustle from above him. It was silent, but he was able to pick up the vibration. He looked up and there he makes contact with blueish-gray eyes that seemed to glow from the shadow.

Itona doesn't react how Tenma looked like a predator and instead extended his arm up as far as he can and hands the boy above the branch his homework. "I hope you didn't traumatize your class by jumping off the window to what they assume to your death."

Tenma chuckles sheepishly (because of course Itona was immediately right on the money. The jumping off the window part. The traumatize his class part? Undefined.) as he gratefully takes his homework from his delivery guy. "I'm sure they're fine. Their reactions were funny though."

"Don't scare them too much." Chastised Itona as he dropped his arm back to his side causing Tenma to pout. "Mou, I get it. But you scare your class too."

"That's different, unlike you, I don't constantly give them heart attacks." Itona says blandly before pushing himself off the trunk. "Well, I'm off. Get me chocolates on the way home." Tenma grinned and exclaimed a "Haaaii!" along with a, "Thanks again, Itona!" before climbing back into the trees after seeing him nod and walk off.

It doesn't take long for him to reach for the last tree that is the nearest to the school building before he takes a risky yet calculated long jump to one of the balconies (except it has no fence) to his classroom. Landing gracefully, he enters back inside through the same window he had jumped off of.

"—and then he just smiled so cheerfully as if he didn't took off five minutes ago before saying "I got my homework!"!"

After Tsurugi's finishes that last part of what happened, Tenma had to pointedly look away at the many heads that whipped towards his direction so quick that their necks would've break. He doesn't turn around to see a certain someone's gaze being heavier than the others.

"Matsukaze Tenma."

"Hai~?" With practiced perfection, Tenma sang as he turned around with a gleeful, flowery expression to look at the owner of that heavy gaze and that is from none other than Shindou Takuto.

It took all of Tenma's willpower not to flinch or crumble upon seeing the cold exterior of the scary look on his captain's face.

Let's just say that Tenma barely managed to escape his wrath along with his bombarding questions.

Hi so I'm alive

But not for long unfortunately, school is a spawn of satan :(( Anyway, how are you all? ^^
