"you!" The moment i woke up i see a blonde loli pointing at me.
"Where have you been i suppose?! What took you so long?!" She then launch herself at me and begin to hit my chest repeatedly.
"Stupid! Idiot! Lazy bump! It tooks you 400 years to find betty infact!" She keep on slamming her tiny fist to my chest while throwing a bunch of insult. Tears are falling of her eyes but her face is plasterd with a smile, finally. Her is finished
'What's happenning?!' i just woke up and the first thing i see is a child screaming at me for something i don't even know.
'wait. This girl is... beatrice?'
"Finally. Finally i suppose" after her fit of anger calmed down she then begin to hug me tightly, afraid if she let go then i would dissapear.
'from what she said i can assume that she think i am 'that' person. But that doesn't make sense. There is no that person. It's just echidna's twisted game' i need more information. And to get that i need to play along
I then begin to stroke her hair gently while whispering to her.
"I am sorry it took me so long. Betty" her eyes become watery and she hold me tighter
"It's... Fine i suppose. You're here, at last" and we just stay like that for a few more minutes.
about 15 minutes has passed and she finally let go of me.
"So uh... How did you know that i am that person?" She look at me while raising her little eyebrow and said
"Mother's book told me yesterday infact. It said that 'that' person will come soon, and here you are"
'mother's book? Echidna's tomb of wisdom? I thought that thing malfunction because it's been blank for 400 years' why did she suddenly do this? For What reason? It can't be because she feel bad for beartrice. No i would rather believe that carmilla is a whore than echidna feeling bad for anyone. Both of those sounds ridiculous but the later is more stupid'
'so... Why?' you know what? Let's not think about it too much. I am sure i will get an answer from her later.
"Can i... Take a look at this book?" I ask the blonde loli and she then walk a bit to the cabinet near my bed
'since when does it there?'
"Mother told me yesterday to give you this book when you come. So here, it's yours now i suppose" she hand me the ominous black book and i take it.
I open it and what inside of it shocked me.

'WHAT THE FUCK?!' the first page is filled with the list of D-rank ninjutsu. There is a number on the side of each ninjutsu. I am guessing it's the number of page on where those ninjutsu are located
I open the next page and it's said Taijutsu right at the top of the page.
there is a list on the known taijutsu technique in there.
Strong fist, gentle fist, uchiha fist(i don't know what it's called), etc
The next page are the list for D-rank genjutsu. The normal one that doesn't require my sharingan
'this. How did she do this?! How did she know about this technique?!'
"What's wrong i suppose?" The little girl look at with concern after seeing my shocked expression
"Ah? Nothing. Just... Wow, echidna does know a lot of things huh?"
"Of course i suppose. She is my mother after all" she said back at me while having a her hands on her hips and a smug face
I can't help but feel like i want to pet her head. She is just so goddamn cute, So i did.
I pet her on the head and at first she is surprised but after a few seconds she begin snuggling her head on my hand
'God she is cute!' after a few minutes of petting we hear a knock on the door.
"E-excuse me" the door open up and with that comes a half elf with a silver haired ponytail
"M-madara-s-sama. Umm... Breakfast is ready?" She is clearly trying to comes up with a more formal way of speech but failed miserably.
"Haha, it's fine emi. Just talk to me normaly, just because i am a royal candidate now doesn't mean we are not friends anymore" i waived her off but she still look rather nervous.
"But umm... You will be a king one day. It will be very disrepectfull for me to talk casually with you" why does everyone care about formality so much anyway? Isn't that thing only served for stranger?
"Eh. It's fine. So long as we are in private then no harm is done. Though in public we may need to speak more formally so that people don't get the wrong idea"
"I see. So, here is fine?" She said while tilting her head
"Yup, here is fine" she then begin to think about it and then pumped her fist while nodding a bit

"Alright i think it's time for us to get the breakfast. Would you be coming with us betty?" I ask the girl that are currently sitting on my bed

I took her hand and we begin walking to the dinning room with a smile.

The three of us walk to the table and sit on the chairs.
Well me and emilia did, beatrice decide to sit on my lap which i found adorable

"Betty is here to infrom everyone that betty have found that person i suppose. And according to the contract betty have with mother, betty will be giving her full authority of the forbidden library to that person infact" she said without any nervousness or anything. Well it's to be expected, she have 400 years to prepare herself for this afterall
Roswaal look at her with a normal creepy smile that he have. His face is as readable as his master.

"I see. Then i will say congratulaaaaation"
'huh, so he doesn't mind me taking beatrice? Good then'
"Now since betty has announced it to everyone. We can the contract i suppose" she said and then turn herself to face me
She held out her tiny hand and i grab it
"Betty will state her terms now i suppose"
"Betty will give full authority on the forbidden library to you and in return you must stay contracted with betty until the day you die. You're not allowed to leave betty alone except if betty said so and you will take care of betty"
"Sounds good. My terms are that i will give you a portion of my mana everyday, that portion depend on how much you want it to be. And in return you will help me whenever i need help to do something, of course you're allowed to refuse it if you think the request are impossible or unreasonable" as i said that i feel something carved into my soul. It's weird considering that i can't even feel my soul
"It's done. Now you're stuck with betty until you die i suppose" she said with a grim smile
I pet her head with a smile and said
"Getting stuck with a cute girl like you until i die sounds more like rewards than a punishment to me" she show a satisfied smile and after a few minutes we begin eating the food
As good as emilia's cooking is the ingredient we have on the forest are strictly limited to a long lasting food like a jerky or smoked fish.
But this homemade food is certainly the best, rem sure is talented
"Noooooow we need to talk about what to do from noooooow" roswaal suddenly said after we have finished our meal.
"What about it?" I ask him and he begin to explain
"You're now one of the kiiiiiiings candidate. But that doesn't mean you're up for it. You don't know the mannerism of the noble so we need to teach you that befooooooore we announce your candidancy." Oh great, they're gonna make become one of those stuck up nobles... *Sigh i know i should've let emilia take the throne
"Not only that, we need you to learn about the history of this kingdom. Foooooooortunately the mathers family has been around since 400 years ago so we have a looooooot of material"
"Also, can you read and wriiiiiiite? I doubt anyone would waaaaaant an illiterate king" so basically what he is saying is that i have a lot of studying waiting for me eh? God damn it i have spend 12 years in school i don't need another one

Is it frederica? If so then i am excited to finally meet that sweet beast woman. Most of beast woman in anime are either a docile cat or a ferocious cat. But frederica is a sweet big sister cat. So you know, i am a fan.
"On another subject, what is your plaaaaaaan regarding the half elf you brought with youuuuu? Is she just gonna staaaaay here?" Hmmm... Emilia... What to do with her?
The girl is looking shy when the spotlight is suddenly directed to her. She tried to hide her face by drinking her water
"Emilia would you be willing to be my knight?" "Pfft-!" She spit out her water immedietly after i said that

"I mean since i am going to be a king a candidate i will need a subordinate to help me with my endevour. Sure i can just fight by my own but everyone know that a king shouldn't fight if it's not really that important.
So i will need a knight to fight for me or just for my image. Either way is fine actually" i don't really need a knight but it's the only thing i can thought on what can i make emilia do.
Either this or she will be a maid
"Umm... I don't know if it will be good for your image, i am a half elf remember?"
"That will help my image actually. "The king candidate madara manage to tame the witch of envy!" Imagine how people will react to that" i said in a joking manner
She blushed a bit and then scream embarassingly
"Madara! It's no time to joke around! If i do become your knight people will hate you because they hate me"
"Nope. People will like you because they like me. I will make sure my good reputation will overshadow their hate for you"
"And hooooow are you planing to do that?"
"By killing the white whale" all of their body become stiff right at that moment
The White whale is one of the three great mabeast that has live for 400 years without anyone ever manage to kill it. Even the late swords saint failed to kill this beast
What make me think that i can kill this beast?
Pride probably. I have no real way to kill this beast except for my asumption that "if subaru can kill it. Then madara can do it as well"
But on that note, i do have an important information about that beast that no one have.
Like It's abilities and such.
Therefor i am confident that i can take down that beast.

"There is nothing elseeee to talk about. Just a note that we need to declare your candidancy soon, but we will do that when you aaaaaare ready for it" i nodded at him and then leave the room.

Will the elsa and meili event happen? Theory said that roswaal is the one doing all of that stealing insignia fiasco. So since roswaal in this fanfic will "help" madara, would he do it? Don't know. Let's just see how it goes.
