Spencer was packing her suitcase ready to go back to DC she had spent the last week consoling Hanna, who was heartbroken she kept crying about Caleb.
Last night didn't make things better Caleb had come to collect the rest of his things and the tension was so awkward between them, Hanna locked herself away until he was gone.
'Han I'm nearly ready I'm going to be heading out soon' Spencer said coming out of the guest bedroom to find Hanna looking at photos.
'Hanna look I know he was the love of your life but you need to try and move on' Spencer said putting her arm around her friend she then noticed a photo of her and Toby.
'wow Toby looks so young' she said taking a closer look 'are you going to say goodbye to him' Hanna asked wiping her tears
'and do you really need to go today'
That question made Spencer hesitant about leaving 'sorry I have to I really owe my friend Emily one for covering me this long' it wasn't a lie really Emily Fields loved gossip she'd want to know all the juicy details about the wedding and would make Spencer cover her shifts.
'ok I guess this is goodbye then' Hanna said not looking at Spencer, it hurt Spencer to leave but she had to.
'bye Hanna' Spencer said they both hugged and that was it.
Spencer walked into the brew for one last coffee before she left she felt bad and also wanted to punch Caleb she felt someone behind her so she turned round an it was Toby.
'Spence are you going?' Toby asked looking at her cases in the floor and the to go coffee
'yeah my flight is at 4 o'clock' she replied taking her to go coffee and moving out of the way.
'well safe trip I guess' Toby said he didn't know why but he felt hurt but he then had a thought
'look I'm sorry but I want to come with you' he said quickly which made Spencer shocked.
'why?' She asked bluntly but also confused
'I feel like we haven't had much time together alone I wanted a proper chat with you' Toby replied hoping to make up for lost time.
'sorry Toby I can't also don't you have to go back to Rosewood' she said thinking of how Rosewood was their home until she moved for college.
'not yet I don't feel like going back yet and Yvonne is moving her stuff out today' Toby said thinking about how Yvonne just broke up with him now he's lost two of the women he's ever been in love with.
'ok I'm sorry Toby really I am, I need to go ok'
Spencer said picking up her cases and leaving 'it's fine I'm still staying here in New York for a few days in case you change your mind' Toby replied watching Spencer leave he sat at a table thinking about how he screwed everything up.
The urge to run after her was building up will he do it?
