The 26 years old Silver was admiring his full on white wedding dress in front of the tall mirror, as he played with his wedding veil. Silver decided to wear his mother's early 2000s wedding dress. He did have Almyra resize the gown in order for the dress to fit him like a glove as it was almost too big for him. An gorgeous silkened-satin ballgown with a square sleeveless neckline bodice top with close buttons. Ending at a point, the bodice flows into a softly-pleated skirt with a sweep train, which feels elegant without being over-the-top.

An lovely elbow length wedding veil cascading down trimmed with white satin ribbon on the edge which pinned underneath his top curls bun with two strands in front of his ears and a pinned white flower around his bun. His small wedding bouquet of white roses was placed in the vase which sat on the table with water inside for the bouquet to be fresh and ready.

Of course, he couldn't forget the concept of having (or wearing) something old, something new, something borrowed, and something blue on his wedding day as a sign of good luck:

Something old: his mother's wedding dress obviously.

Something new: A new pair of slipper cover in white satin.

Something borrowed: Melanie's old heart-shaped lock.

And finally, for something blue: A Forget-Me-Nots perfume sitting on the vanity table.

He can't believe that today he's going to be the husband of Staghart, Silver was going to spend the rest of his life with him. He has dreamt of this day for many years since he was a little boy, and now his dream will finally come true.

Silver heard a knock outside of his suite, he walked over the door and went to retrieve it. Once he opened the door, he saw his fellow friends, the Dream Defenders.

"Hi guys," Silver greeted them.

"Are you ready Silver?" Rachel wondered, closing the door behind her.

"Yes," He answered.

Silver and Staghart have been dating ever since the post-Hex era. They've been together as a couple for many years, after Silver graduated from college and for them to purchase a Victorian style home and move in together. On their one year anniversary of moving in together and ten years anniversary, Staghart proposed to him and asked him to be his spouse in which he said "yes". They have planned this wedding for about one year to have the perfect wedding they both wanted and hire Daisy Duck to be their wedding planner.

However during their wedding planning process, Staghart and Silver have argued so much over what kind of wedding they want. Silver always envisioned having the fairytale royal wedding he dreamed of when he was a child. Big bouquet, big dresses, big arrangement of flowers, big reception, and everything in between. Nevertheless, Staghart has an alternative vision he has in mind. A nice low key reception in their backyard surrounded by 50 guests and music playing from the speaker is what Staghart envisioned for their wedding. He believes it should be a small and very simple event with just close family and friends.

Their friends have started to take notice as well, some speculated that they may have decided to call off their engagement. There was a time at the wedding shower in their home where Silver and Starghart got into an heated argument upstairs in their bedroom. After they saw Staghart storming out of the house through the front door, Melanie asked Silver privately if everything was okay between the two after hearing their voice echoing in the living room for everyone to hear. Silver replied that they were fine.

The big day has finally arrived, and Silver is delighted to see his friends coming to the wedding. In the past, he served as a member of wedding parties for Gabriel and Jasiri, Rachel and Poe, and Logan and Destiny for their happy moments.

Now it's his turn to get married.

"Are you ready? The ceremony is about to start!" Melanie said, fixing his dress while Rachel sprayed Forget-Me-Nots perfume on him and Almyra adjusting his veil.

"I sure am! Once we exited the chapel, Staghart and I will be Mr. and Mr. Willow," Silver whispered, blinking away the tears.

And nothing can go wrong. Not even his bad luck curse can ruin this special day.

"Silver!" Brooklyn yelled, running into his suite.

Silver quickly turned away from the mirror to find him looking completely out of breath, like he just ran a marathon.

"Yes?" Silver wondered, running to him.

"Staghart……… he's gone!" He announced, shocking everyone in the room in disbelief. "The London Clans and I looked everywhere for him, we couldn't find him in his suite! The room was completely empty once we got there, his suit was on the clothing rack, however we did especially find this note laying on the table." Brooklyn exclaimed before walking up to Silver with a folded letter in hand with his name on it, the rest of the London Clan members appeared behind him.

Silver walked towards him, and Brooklyn handed him the letter. He slowly unfolded it, and took a deep breath before reading it.

"Dear Silver

My presence with you today will have ended by the time you read this. It would be very helpful if you would refrain from moving toward me and trying to persuade me to marry you. The moment I stepped into my suite to prepare for the ceremony, I was aware of my existence as a sentient being. That is where I come to the conclusion of not getting married. Although I was initially interested in becoming your husband, it appears that destiny has other plans for me.

I would appreciate it if you did not shed a tear for me. I request that you should move on, please find someone else who has your best interests at heart and is willing to serve you at the altar alongside you and perhaps one day will be a father to your children. The last thing I want is to hold you back. It is my deepest regret to have committed this act today and to have behaved in this manner. Please tell everyone, including my clans, that I apologize for what I have done. I do love you Silver, but sadly not enough to marry you or to be your beloved husband forever.

Goodbye, sign Staghart"

Silver dropped the note to the floor, and ran out of the room before he could start crying. This has to be a sick joke. Staghart would never jinx on their wedding day, never in their life. He can hear Melanie read it out loud so everyone could hear her and their loud gasp.

"Did he… did he..." Jaisir looked at everyone with wide shocking eyes.

"I'm afraid so." Gabriel sadly nodded at her.

"What are we going to do?" Destiny exclaimed nervously. "Should we panic? Scream!?"

"No, let's not panic for the moment." Poe assures her. "Let us all remain calm."

"What should we do?" Melanie asks.

"There's nothing we can do." Adam commented. "We must accept Staghart's decision. While yes we are angry at him for what he did, we shouldn't let our anger get the best of us. If he's not ready for marriage, then we can't force him."

"Even when he got up… and left him?" said Toren, slowly raising his voice. "Without telling him face to face!?"

"Yes… even when he got up and left him." Logan sighs.

"What about the guests?" Almyra caught everyone's attention. "How are we going to tell them? How are we going to break them? What are we going to say to them!?"

"We will tell them that the wedding is over." Rachel answered in a calm manner. "We will have to send everyone home. I will be the one to tell them."

Rachel walks out of the suite with everyone trailing behind her.

[Background song: Keep Breathing by Ingrid Michaelson]

When she opened the chapel doors, everyone turned their head and eyes toward her, she marched straight down the aisle with everyone's eyes filled with confusion and questions. The Dream Defenders stood next in the doorway on the opposite side. She reaches the altar before turning around and facing the guests. Rachel could see Mr. and Mrs. Willow looked mighty confused, but knowing this will break their heart, the brunette woman let out a deep sigh.

The storm is coming but I don't mind

"It's over." Rachel spoke two words loudly enough for everyone to hear. "You guys can all go home now… it's over… soooo over."

People are dying, I close my blinds

She slowly shook her head, before marching right right back up to meet with the Dream Defenders. All of the guests, including Silver's parents, were completely utterly confused and shocked as to what just happened. Did she say what they thought she just said?

All that I know is I'm breathing now

"The wedding is over?"

"What did she mean by that!?"

"I knew it. I knew this was going to happen!"

"I don't believe it!"

"This can't be right!"

"Does that mean no cake?"

"Is this for real!?"

"Cannot believe I got all dressed up for nothing!"

"All my planning effort went down the drain!"

I want to change the world, and instead I sleep

Silver hitch up his skirt above the knee as he ran and ran from the chapel to his and Staghart share home. Never bother to watch where he is going or almost cause a crash when running across the roads before reaching their house. The front fence gate was left open which meant Staghart was there before him. He prays he is still there and hasn't left.

I want to believe in more than you and me

"Staghart!" Silver calls out his name when he bursts through the door that was suddenly unlocked.

"STAGHART!!!" He checks the foyer, nothing, He searches and scans every room of this house to find Staghart: the kitchen, nothing, he looks at the guests room upstairs, nothing, their bedroom, all of Staghart belongings and some clothes from their shared closets are gone. He heads downstairs and heads to the living room.

But all that I know is I'm breathing

He looked and notice Staghart's favorite belongings were now completely gone as well. But some of his are still here. His books are gone, pictures of him are gone from the shelves and walls, his favorite music albums, and his favorite mug are gone. Everything that belonged to Staghart is gone. Completely gone. Almost as if he never lived here.

All I can do is keep breathing.

All we can do is keep breathing

Now…. Now….. Now…… Now…..

Silver stood in the center of the living room, completely shocked with his mouth wide open. He couldn't move, couldn't feel his legs, arms, hands, and everything. Silver then heard a door open, he turned his head around and saw his friends.

"He's gone…." Silver told them.

All that I know is I'm breathing.

They look at him, then look around at Staghart belongings that are still there.

"I-I don't think he's gone…" Gabriel responded. "h-his stuff is still-"

All I can do is keep breathing

"No." Silver cut him off, shaking his head. "No, his book is gone."

All we can do is keep breathing

"H-his favorite music album, it was ri-ri-right there i-in the storage bin underneath the Tv."

All we can do is keep breathing

"His favorite mug on the kitchen cabinet… is gone too…"

Silver said as he felt tears rising up and looked at his friends. "H… he… he's gone…… He….. He….. He left me at the altar..."

All we can do is keep breathing

"Dammit….. dammit…. DAMMIT!!!!" Silver's hands and body started to shake as he tried to unpin his wedding veil.

All we can do is keep breathing

"I-I can't take it off! SOMEONE PLEASE TAKE IT OFF!" Melanie walked over to Silver and unpinned his veil, as Silver snatched a veil from her hand and threw it on the ground.

All we can do is keep breathing

Silver starts to take off the heart-shaped necklace and throw it on the cushion of the sofa.

All we can do is keep breathing

He tried to take off his mother's wedding dress but to no avail. Alymra grabs the scissor nearby and cuts the back of the wedding dress open, both she, Melanie and Rachel pull down the wedding dress together, and suddenly Silver bursts into tears.

All we can do is keep breathing

He could feel his friends arms one by one hugging him and did their best to comfort him the very best way they could.

This is the worst and humiliating day of his life!

All we can do is keep breathing……. now.

Alway the wedding party... never the wedding couple.

During the development of "The Romance of Silver Willow", the original concept and storyline was going to be Silver being left at the altar on their wedding day which took place a few years later. However, when I look back at this, I do not like how this will go so I change the entire plot lines from Silver being left at the altar to them breaking up. This was due because I do not want Staghart to be painted as an…. Well…. Not a bad guy but more like a character you slightly dislike but later understand why they did it and I did not want my readers to dislike Staghart for what he did even though he had his reason.

But if you like this abandoned concept version more than the official version we have, you are free to think of this as an alternative universe where everything in "The Romance of Silver Willow" remains the same except Silver being left at the altar instead of the two breaking up.
