Chapter II
Jiraiya
The team was on the mission for about three days before they made it to the hut that the Hermit lived in. Jiraiya, was known to be a huge pervert at times so the girls made sure not to go without really baggy clothes as to protect themselves. They also did this because of Kiba too, who had a habit of peeking on the girl at the hot springs. That's how he got hooked onto Hinata in the first place. I won't go into that story though. "I guess this is it." Temari said as she looked at the hut. Kiba went and knocked on the door. A white haired man that was at least six foot tall poked his head out to see the ninja standing there. "What do a bunch of Konoha Ninja want?" "Are you Jiraiya?" Tenten asked. "Yes, what do you want?" "We need to speak to you about your information surrounding the Kyuubi monster. It attacked one of our ninja and we were sent to kill it." Sakura stated as she put a fist into her palm. Jiraiya started laughing. The Konoha nin looked at him quizzically. "You can't kill the Kyuubi, it's immortal. There's no way to kill it." Kiba looked pissed. "Grrr there has to be a way we have to kill it all things are mortal!" "Not all things, the Fourth Hokage, Minato Namikaze, made it immortal. Though why it's hard to say." The five Konoha nin looked stunned at the news. "W-Why would he do that?" Hinata asked. She also mentally cursed herself for her old habit of stuttering. "Can't say exactly, but I do know there are three people who are also immortal. They live in the Monster's lair though. Don't worry you can get to their house without being attacked." The ninja gulped but then nodded and left for the Monster's Lair.
Inside the Monster's Lair, three young men stood in a circle around a table enjoying a meal together. "So Neji, did you see anything yet?" Asked a raven haired boy named Sasuke. Neji, a Hyūga much like Hinata, shook his head. "Nothing, I doubt this person will ever show up." "There has to be someone out there with that chakra. Don't you remember that light we saw 18 years ago?" Shikamaru, a Nara and very intelligent, asked. "We all saw it, it lit up the sky a little bit." Neji said growling. "Remember what he did when he saw the light?" "What about it?" Sasuke said as he too got irritated. "He had hope, like he knew that the person with the chakra was born." Neji thought about it for a second. "He's right, I remember seeing hope in his eyes. Let me scan the area. BYAKUGAN!" Through Neji's Byakugan, he detected five life forms heading their way. One of them though had something else. A girl seemed to have a light surrounding her chakra." Nejd's eyes widened. "I, I see her! The one who has the chakra to bring him back. It's a girl with that chakra!" Neji was growing excited by the second. The other two leapt for joy. At last, there was salvation coming for their friend. "How far out is she?" "She looks to be three days away. She's got companions too." "Huh I thought the one with the chakra would come alone." "Well if she came alone, than she could get attacked and killed by enemies. Makes sense she would travel with a group." Outside they heard a roar in the distance. All three bowed out of the pain they felt when they heard that roar. It was one of pain, anger, hopelessness, and fear. All three wanted their friend back and not the monster. "Hold in there Naruto. Hope is coming." Was all Sasuke could say.
