Act 4: The Discussion ~ Situation of Surprises!
When Fiore is gone, everything has returned to normal. The Sailor Guardians of the Gems remain still for a moment. Then Sarah turned, "Your majesty," she spoke in concern. "Are you all right?"
"I'm all right," King Endymion nodded. "No harm has come to me or one of my daughters."
"Are you sure?" May asked with concern as well. "Since this has happened, our princess is glowing up like a Christmas Tree in the summer."
"Please, speak no more of this." Lily nearly stuttered.
"Oh," May covered her mouth. "Sorry princess."
"It's okay," Lily tries to regain her breath as well as her emotions.
"Your majesty," Rue spoke. "I think it is wise for us to cancel lunch here and advise us to return to the palace."
"I agree," Jade nodded. "With that guy roaming around, it is for the best to return to the Crystal Palace."
"I understand," King Endymion nodded. "Moonflower, it is going to be all right. I am sorry that Fiore has gotten close to you, I was cut off guard. I should have protected you from him."
"It's not your fault," Lily replied. "I was too cut off guard. But…papa, is it true…about…what he has spoken of? About the past…between the two of you?"
"For once, that is a good question," Chibi Usa nodded as she too is curious about Lily's question.
"I'm unsure for myself," King Endymion sighed sadly. "However, let's talk about it once we return to the Crystal Palace." King Endymion replied gently, "I'm not comfortable speaking about the past in the open public as we are in right now."
"I understand," Lily nodded.
"Big sister," Chibi Usa spoke. "Are you sure that you are all right?"
"Don't worry Small Lady," Lily smiled gently. "I'm going to be fine. Thanks for worrying."
"You're welcome," Chibi Usa smiled in return.
"Come," King Endymion spoke. "Let's go home."
Both girls nodded as they started to return home.
Fiore…? King Endymion wondered. It cannot be! He slightly grunted as the limousine droves everyone back to the Crystal Palace.
At the Crystal Palace, the girls are very confused at first. Neo Queen Serenity becomes very worried as she sees her eldest daughter, who shows an expression of mixed feelings. Neo Queen Serenity walked towards her husband and daughters. "What happened?" Neo Queen Serenity asked.
"It's a long story, love." King Endymion spoke calmly.
"Yeah, a story about a stranger who kissed our princess's hand," Taylor replied.
"Taylor," Skylar scolded her friend/rival.
"What?" Taylor shrugged. "It's the truth."
"A stranger?" Neo Queen Serenity becomes even more worried.
"I will explain," King Endymion spoke. "But first, we need to calm Moonflower down." Neo Queen quickly looks at her eldest daughter.
"Moonflower, you are all flustered." Neo Queen Serenity spoke. "How did it happen?"
"Didn't you hear?" Chibi Usa asked, "Big sister has just got her hand kissed by that stranger that Taylor has mentioned." Chibi Usa sighed, "Big sister has been glowing like this ever since."
"And we have to cancel lunch after that," Rue replied.
"Oh dear," Neo Queen Serenity spoke. "Having a mixture of feelings can be confusing and frightening. Even if it was a first time."
"For sure," Jade nodded.
"Even though, that stranger has been bold enough to ask for our princess's hand in marriage." Rue slightly barked.
"What?" Neo Queen Serenity jumped. "He's a stranger, right? You all just meet him; he can't be that serious after just one meeting."
"But, what about…?" Sarah was about to ask.
Neo Queen Serenity raised her hand, "If you are going to ask about me and Endymion…that was different. We waited for years to have a proper date and everything."
"That's true," Endymion agreed. "Except on a one-time event that is part of the heat of a moment."
"Yes, I know." Neo Queen Serenity nodded. "Moonflower," she spoke softly to her daughter. "It's okay, your safe now."
"I know," Lily nodded.
"The lessons will be canceled for the rest of the day." Neo Queen Serenity reassures her. "So, you will have time to calm down."
"Thank you, mama," Lily softly smiled.
Neo Queen Serenity smiled gently in return.
"Sorry to interrupt." A familiar voice spoke. Everyone turned, seeing Luna and Sailor Mercury with Sir Zoisite at her side. "But you got to see this," Luna meowed.
"Huh?" everyone nearly gasped.
Within the meeting room, the Sailor Guardians: Sailor Venus, Sailor Mercury, Sailor Mars, and Sailor Jupiter with Endymion's Knights: Sir Kunzite, Sir Zoisite, Sir Jadeite, and Sir Nephrite are walking the news with Neo Queen Serenity, King Endymion, Chibi Usa, Lily, the Sailor Guardians of the Gems, Luna, Artemis, Diana, and Bailey. "And now onto our next story," said the announcement of the news broadcast. "Today at 2 p.m., it was discovered that against asteroid is about to pass by close to Earth. Researchers calculate that the massive rock will be making its closest approach within a day after tomorrow at 11:20 p.m. However, it will still be twenty-five hundred and fifty million kilometers away, so it will have no direct effect on the Earth." The announcer sits up on the screen. "If you have an astronomical telescope, you can observe the—" The screen has been turned off.
When everything is silent, everyone turned to start a meeting. "Seems the observatories on Earth have finally noticed it, too." Artemis broke the silence.
"The asteroid you mentioned before?" Sailor Jupiter asked.
"It's not going to hit the Earth," Sir Nephrite added. "So, what's your worry?"
"That's what we thought at first as well," Luna replied.
"Is there some other problem?" Sailor Venus asked.
"Everyone," Artemis activate the computer screen. "Take a look at this." He opens the screen that shows science and mathematics to show something. Showing an image of the asteroid, "I used the computer to perform my analysis of the asteroid." Artemis began to explain, "It spans over 600 meters."
"That's big," Sir Zoisite gasped.
"If it were to collide with Earth, it would be a disaster." Sailor Mercury added.
"No," Artemis shook. "That is not the issue. Considering its size, it has surprisingly little mass. Meaning, if it fell to Earth, it will just burn up in the atmosphere."
"Then what exactly is the problem?" Sailor Mars asked.
"We picked up signs of plant energy coming from the asteroid," Luna explained.
"What?" everyone gasped.
"You know…" Sailor Venus spoke. "Now that you have mentioned it."
"That asteroid does kind of look more like a seed than a rock formation," Sarah added.
"For once, you two are right about the form." Sir Kunzite nodded.
"I'm sure there's a simple explanation for all of this," Rue shrugged. "Maybe there's just mass growing on the surface."
"Artemis," Skylar spoke. "Do you think that you're just making a big fuss over nothing about this?"
"I can only hope that you are right," Artemis sighed. Without another thought, May noticed something in Taylor's silence.
"Hey Taylor," May spoke. "What are you thinking about?"
"Hmm," Taylor crossed as she raised a brow. "Oh, just thinking about a stupid assumption or something like that."
"What do you mean?" Luna asked.
"It could be crazy," Taylor replied. "But it's too coincidental for a mysterious guy to appear at the same time as that strange asteroid that has been found."
"No, you mention it," Rue thought. "I was close to the time we were at the gardens to have lunch. With that guy appeared out of nowhere."
"It could be just too coincidental," Sarah thought. "But we don't have any proof to support that part that could equal all of this."
"But we will keep an eye on it," Sailor Mercury spoke. "But if this is a threat, we will put the girls into training."
"I agree," Sir Zoisite nodded.
"It would be a good idea," Luna nodded.
"Luna and I will keep an eye on the asteroid," Artemis spoke.
"I will do some research about this Fiore," King Endymion spoke. "Maybe there are some clues about him."
"I will help you love," Neo Queen Serenity offered.
King Endymion nodded.
This is going to be a long, two days to investigate. Lily thought as she looks at her hand in confusion.
Within space, a dark figure stood high on a rock. "Mamoru," the figure spoke coldly. "I will have your daughter and you if it is the last this I do." The figure lifted his hand, revealing two flower pods. Suddenly, the flower pods started to glow. Floated out of this hand, and started to head towards Earth.
