Brooke was the first person to get up this morning considering she has a meeting at Clothes over bros in New York and she needs to be at the airport in an hour. As she walked into the kitchen Brooke sighs exasperatedly as she noticed Carrie the Nanny Haley recently hired to take care of Jamie during the week, making breakfast on a Saturday morning. When Brooke first met Carrie earlier this week she felt something wasn't quite right, and truth to be told Brooke still doesn't trust Carrie and she really wish Haley didn't trust her either.
" Hey good morning Brooke." Carrie greeted with a friendly smile." Are you hungry? There's plenty here."She said as she, set the last plate down on the counter.
" Um... thanks, but I don't have a lot time. I gotta get to the airport soon. I gotta a meeting with Clothes over bros in New York. " Brooke answered as she went to the coffee machine and poured herself some coffee.
" Suit yourself. " Carrie said with a shrug.
" What are you doing here anyways? it's the weekend." Brooke asked as she leans back against the sink as she took a sip of her coffee after she added some cream and sugar in her coffee.
Carrie shrugs her shoulders as she ignores Brookes rudness." I know it's the weekend. But I promised Haley that I would take Jamie out for the day, so she can have some peace and quiet while she grade papers.
" Good morning Aunt Brooke, hi Nanny Carrie." Jamie beamed as he was very excited to see her." What are you doing here Nanny Carrie? " He asked as he climbed on to the chair as he noticed there was breakfast already on the counter.
" Well, little man I thought maybe you and I can spend the day while your mom grades papers." Carrie answered with a huge grin on her face.
" Sweet!!" Jamie answered with excitement as he looks over at Brooke." Do you want to spend the day with us Aunt Brooke? "Jamie asked with a smile as he was hoping she'll say yes.
" I'm sorry buddy, but I'm going to be in New York for a few days for business." Brooke answers as she set her cup down in the sink and walked over to Jamie as she leans down kisses the top of his head." Have fun buddy. I will see you Monday night." She said as she grabs her purse, car keys and her cell as she waved Jamie goodbye totally ignoring Carrie as she walks out of the kitchen.
" Don't worry Jimmy-Jam, you and I are gonna have a great day. I was thinking maybe we can go to the zoo for the day." Carrie suggested as she ruffled his hair as she looked over and noticed Haley was walking into the kitchen.
" Good morning Hales, want some breakfast?" Carrie asked as she smiles sweetly at her.
" Um, sure. What you doing here? It's Saturday. " Haley asked as she was confused about why Carrie is here when she wasn't really expecting to see Carrie until Monday morning. So seeing Carrie cooking them breakfast on a Saturday morning seems kinda odd to Haley but she decided to let it for now.
" Well, I remembered yesterday you had mentioned that you had papers that needs to be grading. So I thought maybe I can take Jamie out for the day. I mean if that's alright with you? " Carrie asked as she shrugs her shoulders for a moment.
" Oh of course, it's okay. Actually it would help me out a lot if you can take Jamie out for the day." Haley answered with a smile as she looks over at Jamie with a smile as she couldn't help chuckle seeing the excitement on Jamie's face.
" I promise to have him home in time for dinner." Carrie said as she helped Jamie off the high chair." Come on Jimmy-Jam let's go get ready for the zoo." She said as hurries Jamie along.
" Bye Mama. " Jamie called out as he ran upstairs to get ready to go to the zoo with his Nanny Carrie.
Haley had spent half of her day grading papers from the test her students took just a few days ago, and now Haley is relaxing on her couch with a glass of wine as she watches a classic movie on Netflix, when she heard a knock coming through her front door." It's open!" She called out.
When she heard the door open Haley turned her head as she noticed Peyton another best friend of hers from high school. " Hey, what brings you here? I thought you were at the studio working on Mia's new album. " Haley asked as she took a sip of her wine.
" Oh, I was for most of the day. But now I decided to come visit you, and my favorite buddy." Peyton answered as she started to look around. " Speaking of, where is Jamie?" She asked as she noticed Jamie hasn't run through the living room yet.
" He's out for the day with his Nanny." Haley answered as she took a drink of her wine and sat up straight. " She took him to the zoo for the day."
" On a Saturday? Doesn't she usually working on the weekdays?" Peyton asked suspiciously.
" I had papers to grade before Monday and she asked if she can take Jamie for the day." Haley answered with a shrug.
" Um, are you really sure you can trust this Carrie with Jamie? I mean really trust her?" Peyton asked with concern. Peyton has only met with Carrie a couple of times and already she doesn't like Carrie nor does she trust her especially with Jamie.
Haley sighs exasperatedly as she roll her eyes." You sound like Brooke. Look I trust Carrie, so far she hasn't really given me a reason not to trust her. Besides Jamie loves her." Haley knows that both Brooke and Peyton is looking out for Jamie and she really appreciate it and she's lucky to have friends like them. She just wishes that they could just give Carrie a chance.
" All we're saying is that you should keep an eye on her." Peyton suggested.
Haley nods her head." I will keep that in mind." The last thing Haley wants to do is make Carrie feel like she can't trust her with Jamie. But she keep what Peyton suggested in consideration though and maybe once Haley proves to them that Carrie can be trusted with her son, they would back off a little.
