Margaret had taken Cathy out to a nice place, on the Bay.
Outside, it showed the bay in a beautiful manner.
Inside, were the two of them, finished in the case of lunch.
About half an hour beforehand, Margaret and Cathy had survived an attack from an angry girlfriend of one of Margaret's own victims.
"Did I ever get to say thank you for keeping me safe from that crazy woman?" Cathy asked her friend in the other seat.
"I don't think you did." Margaret noted, trying to remember. "Then again, you don't have to. As you said, we're friends."
"I still can't believe that we've become friends in the space of weeks." Cathy said. "It's almost like something in a dream."
"I suppose." Margaret agreed, as she drank with Cathy looking at her.
"I swear, it was like we were never meant to happen but yet it did." Cathy told her friend, who was still drinking by her side. "You know. I haven't even invited you to the wedding."
"Me. Right. I'm not the person to do weddings." Margaret noted to her.
"Did you go to any back home?" Cathy asked, the question obviously burning in her mind.
"No. Nobody ever married back home." Margaret answered, sighing.
"It's a shame. But you're welcome. As my friend." Cathy told her, slightly trying to convince her.
It took a couple of seconds, but it convinced her somehow.
"Alright. As a friend. I'll come." Margaret said, convinced thanks to her friend.
Cathy then hmm'd, because she knew that despite her knowing that her friend was an alien, would she get her soon to be husband on board.
"I think... we both need to do something before we can finally get to the wedding." Cathy told her friend as they continued to sip their drinks.
Jeffrey entered his house later on that evening. He walked through the corridor and into the living room, where he did a double take. The Lord Mayor was sitting on his couch.
"Catherine?!" He shouted, hoping for some answers.
Cathy walked from the kitchen to be next to him.
"Yes, my dear?" Cathy asked him, still stood there, shaking his head, confused.
"Would you have any reason to know why the Lord Mayor is sitting here?" Jeffrey questioned her.
"Well. I've been friends with her for the last month or so and I thought we should invite her to the wedding, so I was hoping the two of you would get to know each other a little more." Cathy explained to him as his confusion settled.
"Right."
He turned to face the Lord Mayor. "Hello."
"Hello there." She waved back, with a smile.
"Excuse me, Jeffrey." Cathy says to him as she brushes past them to close the curtains. She then goes into the kitchen as Margaret stands up from the couch.
"Jeffrey. You believe in aliens, don't you?" Margaret asked Jeffrey, who is slightly confused with the question.
A/N - And that's all your getting I'm afraid. After I wrote a version of this chapter where I almost finished it, unfortantely it got corrupted, and so I was left with this version of the unfinished chapter of the story. I recently discovered the chapter again and I'd thought I'd show it off to the people who have followed this story, sorry I couldn't finish it, but thanks for reading it.
