Now, before I kick off the second chapter, I've read your reviews and daw some questions that I probably didn't quite make clear the answer for.
Now, for the first question, "They speak the same language?" This one I would understand. Now, you see, when it comes to language barriers, it's not easy to get around them, and it was simply a can of worms that I did not feel like opening up, so I decided to have them be able to understand each other language-wise.
"Watt's says that he won't let a child stand up to him?" This is said by Watts mainly due to the fact that he had just been stood up for by Ironwood because he favored Pietro's design of Penny. This would probably do a lot of damage to his pride and now that he is being treated by a child as if Watts was the child and that Gaara was the elder? That would definitely make Watts' pride as an Atlesian Scientist hurt more, and then he would feel the need that Atlas should not bow to anyone, especially a child.
"The fact that the research team isn't affected by the heat doesn't make sense" Now that you say it, they really don't look as if they are bothered, which is a mistake on my part. Being an author on Wattpad, we aren't as content on our grammar and little specific details, so it is still taking some getting used to.
Anyways, I know that isn't all the questions, but the ones that I have not answered are due to the fact that they will be answered later in the story.
P.S. Also, no, Gaara does not have the haircut from Boruto.
P.P.S also, that one review kinda sorta came outta no where, so a bit confused about that. Haters be hating.
Gaara walked down the halls of Beacon Academy, all in an attempt to get familiar with his new surroundings. The academy was rather large, and its abundance of different rooms really surprised Gaara. Surely they had acquired a very large amount of resources in order to build such an extravagant academy.
Gaara walked out onto one of the observation balconies that had been built into the academy, and he looked up at the night sky. The stars twinkled brightly and the sky had a dark blue color. But what intrigued Gaara the most was the fact that the moon was shattered.
Gaara had wondered what kind of power in this world would have been able to do such a thing. Gaara sighed to himself, and decided that would be a subject that he would figure out another day.
Gaara then left the observation platform and proceeded to go to the ballroom. He had enough exploration for one night, there would be plenty of time to explore more later. Gaara was still in the clothes that he had come from his home into, which were kind of dusty and a bit ripped from his earlier free fall into this world.
It still bothered him, how when he had only traveled for a few seconds in some black void and then ended up somewhere else 10 years later. He decided to think about it later.
Gaara walked towards the ballroom, and was met by the chatter of students. Gaara looked around, and took in a deep breath as he then started to walk into the ballroom, when suddenly he heard a commotion coming from off over to the side.
"Huh?" Gaara said as he looked to his right, only to see Ruby and that blond from earlier, who was named Yang. He still couldn't get over the fact that they were sisters, even though they had very little resembling physical features. Gaara decided not to question it right no-
Gaara suddenly felt something slam into him from his left, and the impact sent him onto his bottom, and he grunted as he fell down.
"What the?" Gaara said in confusion as he rubbed his head, which seemed to take the brunt of force. He didn't have his Sand Armor on, so there were no cracks when he felt his forehead. Gaara looked up, and was a bit surprised that he saw a girl in front of him, who was groaning a bit. However, what surprised him the most was the fact that she had bunny ears.
Gaara came to his senses that he just slammed into a girl in a rather rude manner, and he jumped to his feet and went to the girl's side
"Sorry. I should have been looking where I was going. Are you alright?" Gaara asked as he stooped down to her side.
The girl responded without even looking at Gaara, "I've felt worse."
The girl looked up at Gaara, who extended his hand out to help her up. The girl accepted his hand up, and Gaara helped her to her feet.
"I am really sorry for that," Gaara apologized again, "Please forgive me."
The girl shook her head lightly, and smiled, "That's alright. I wasn't really paying attention either."
Gaara nodded his head, and said, "I'm Gaara."
The girl smiled at him and replied, "I'm Velvet."
Gaara smiled, and said, "Nice to meet you Velvet."
Gaara then eyed the brown bunny ears on the top of her head, which seemed to twitch a little with pleasure. Gaara then said, "Cute ears."
Velvet blushed, and said, "Thank you. I don't really get comments like that from humans, because, well you know, I'm a faunus."
Gaara nodded, and pretended that he knew what she was talking about, and said, "I don't speak for everyone when I say this, but I think it doesn't matter if you look different. After all, we're all here in this school. And if I'm right, that alone says something."
Velvet smiled, and blushed, "Oh, you really think that?"
Gaara smiled, and nodded, saying, "Yes. I truly do."
Gaara could see Velvet's hands tremble a little, before she started blushing madly, and she said in a shy voice, "We should probably go get some sleep. We have the initiation tomorrow."
Gaara remembered that she did have a point, and not really knowing what this initiation was, decided that he would probably need to rest up his strength for tomorrow. Just in case.
Gaara nodded, and waved at the bunny-eared girl and said goodnight as he searched for a spot where he could sleep.
After about a few minutes of searching, Gaara finally found a nice cozy spot where he could sleep without being too bothered. As he laid down and drifted off to sleep, he then thought about Suna, and about Temari and Kankuro. And also a certain blond-haired friend.
/
Hanzo opened his eyes, however, unlike many people who might have felt the need to go back to sleep, Hanzo in an instant got up and cleaned up the space where he slept. He kept quiet as he picked up his sleeping blanket and began to neatly fold it and roll it up, and strap it to the back of his waist. He had done it rather efficiently and quickly, all the while not even waking anyone else up. The sun had just started to rise above the horizon, but Hanzo felt fully refreshed.
Hanzo then went to the bathroom and washed up and brushed, and changed out of his sleeping clothes, and put on a black shirt with short sleeves, and put on the top of a blue gi over it, but the sleeves were torn off. He then put on blue pants and put on a pair of red geta.
He looked at the time, and saw that he still had about 2 hours before the initiation started, so he decided to kill some time on one of the bigger observation platforms.
As Hanzo walked out on one, he noticed that he could feel another presence nearby. He looked to his left, and about 5 meters away, a boy with a giant gourd on his back was there, but what surprised Hanzo was that he was sitting on a small platform of sand, which was floating in the air.
"Hmm, must be his semblance," Hanzo said to himself.
Hanzo put a hand on his chin, and wondered how long that stranger had been there. Hanzo hadn't seen him in the ballroom earlier when he got up, so did that mean that this stranger had gotten up before him?
Hanzo shook the question away, and decided that he would worry about it later, or rather not worry about it at all. He wasn't about to be caught up in a competition of who could wake up first.
Hanzo decided that it would be best to leave for now, but as he walked off the platform, he felt his waist accidentally hit the side of the table, and he looked to his side just in time to see a vase that had a bouquet of flowers inside of it, and saw it as it begun to fall to the floor.
However, Hanzo felt his body move on it's own, and he felt his foot shift to the right, and he lightly lifted his foot up and kicked the vase up, which went up into the air about a inch or so, and Hanzo reached down and plucked the hollow neck of the vase while it was in midair, the water inside of it not even spilling out.
Hanzo held up the purple china vase and inspected it, before putting it back on the center of the table that it fell off of.
/
After everyone woke up, and had eaten breakfast and got ready, everyone headed to the locker room to retrieve their weapons.
Gaara, however, just simply sat around killing time, due to the fact that he had never let his sand gourd out of his sight.
Gaara looked around, inspecting his surroundings. He first saw what seemed to be a man pull out two guns out of his locker, the magazine sharpened into green blades, which probably meant that they could be used for melee combat as well.
Next to him was an orange-haired girl in a white and pink battle dress, and had what seemed to be some sort of pink gun strapped to her back. Gaara could tell that the girl was very hyper, based on the energy that she spoke with.
"Ren, maybe we should have some sort of signal, like an animal call. Maybe a sloth!" The girl then made some sort of sound in an attempt to sound like a sloth, but the boy, who seemed to be named Ren, suddenly cut her off, "Nora!"
"Yes, Ren?" Nora asked
Ren said in a rather bored tone, "I don't think sloths make a lot of noise."
Nora frowned, but quickly said, "That's right! So no one else would expect it! No one would be able to tell that we are working together!"
Gaara shifted his attention to what seemed to be a commotion to the left, and he saw a blond boy in white armor talking to Weiss and another red-haired girl in spartan armor.
"What are you talking about!? Pyrrha is practically on every box of Pumpkin Pete's Marshmallow Flakes cereal box!" Weiss shouted, and the blond boy, or who was named Jaune, then gasped, and said, "That's you!. They only do that for star athletes and cartoon characters!"
The red-haired spartan gave a small smile, and said, "Yeah, it was pretty cool, I guess. Sadly, the cereal isn't very good for you."
Weiss turned towards Jaune and asked whether he even had the right to ask to be on her team, and leaned forward in a sad way and apologized
Pyrrha walked towards him and comforted him, "Now wait, I actually think you would be a great team leader, Jaune."
"Oh, please stop it," Jaune responded, and Weiss said in a slightly annoyed tone, "Stop this! This behavior should not be encouraged!"
Jaune turned towards Weiss and said, "You were saying? You know, I'm not allowed to do this, but maybe I could pull some strings, open up a spot for you on my team. Whaddya say?"
Weiss leaned back and said, "That's too close, Pyrrha, a little help here!"
Jaune turned around to see Pyrrha's spear flying at him, and he gave out a scream of fright as the spear hit his armored chest and sent him flying.
"I'm sorry!" Pyrrha said as Jaune thudded onto the floor
After everyone finally got prepped, Gaara and the rest of the people then went outside and were picked up by transports, which they drove about 5 miles away from Beacon, before finally dropping them off near a cliff, where Professor Ozpin and Goodwitch were waiting for them.
Gaara also saw what seemed to be metal panels alongside the edge of the cliff, all of which were perfectly spaced apart a exact 1 meter, and in single file.
Gaara looked around as he saw the rest of the contestants each take a panel, and so Gaara took one himself, in between Yang and the blond boy in white armor from earlier.
Ozpin cleared his throat, and said, "Now, for years, each and every one of you have trained yourselves to become warriors, and today, your skills will be evaluated in the Emerald Forest."
Glynda then spoke up, "Now, I'm sure that many of you have heard the rumors about the assignment of teams."
Many of the students nodded, and Glynda continued, "Well, allow us to put an end to your confusion. Each of you will be given teammates. Today."
Many of the students' facial expressions were confused, however, there were also some that were of relief, and a couple, like Gaara's for example, were expressionless.
"What?" Gaara heard Ruby say, and Ozpin continued, "These teammates will be with you for the rest of your time here at Beacon, so it is in your best interests to be paired with someone with whom you can work well with. That being said, the first person you make eye contact with after landing will be your teammate for the next 4 years here at Beacon."
Gaara heard Ruby gasp in disappointment, and he also heard another female voice say, "See! I told you!"
"After you've partnered up, make your way to the Northern Forest," Ozpin continued, "You will meet opposition along the way. Do not hesitate to destroy everything in your path, or you will die."
Gaara turned to his left, and heard the blond boy in white armor give a nervous laugh, and gulp. Something told Gaara that this boy wasn't exactly a warrior. He didn't even really look the part.
"You will be monitored and graded for the duration of your initiation, but our instructors will not intervene," Ozpin said, and Gaara couldn't help but be reminded of his time when he was younger, of how similar this was to his Chunin Exams. Ozpin continued, "You will find an abandoned temple at the end of the path containing several relics. Each pair must choose 1 and return to the cliff that we are currently standing atop. We will guard that item, as well as your standing, and grade you appropriately. Are there any questions?"
The blond boy raised his hand, "Yeah, umm, sir-"
"Good!" Ozpin interrupted, "Now, take your positions."
Gaara then began to get into a crouched position, and the blond boy said nervously, "Uh, sir, I have a question."
Suddenly, Weiss's panel shot up like a catapult, and launched her into the air, and Jaune asked, "So, uhh, this, 'landing strategy,' what is it? Are you like, dropping us off or something?"
Ozpin sipped his mug, as 5 more panels launched their cargo into the air, and replied, "No, you will be falling."
"Oh, I see," Jaune said, "So, are you, uhh, like handing out parachutes or something?"
"No. You will be using your own landing strategy."
"Oh, uhh, right."
Gaara turned to his right to see Yang winking at Ruby, before putting on a pair of sunglasses, and both panels shot them off at the same time.
"So, umm, what exactly is a landing strate-" Jaune began to ask before Gaara interrupted him, "You ask too many questions."
Suddenly, both panels shot them forward, and both Jaune and Gaara went flying through the air, Jaune screaming at the top of his lungs in a panicked tone.
Ozpin looked up at the airborne children, and said, "Oh well, hopefully the boy will be alright."

Hanzo made his body narrower, as he shot through the air, the wind rushing past him and flapping his hair.
As Hanzo neared the treetops, he then pulled out a pair of blue Sai's, the middle prong blade about a foot and a half long, the two prongs on the side about 5 inches long, and he then held each blade backwards, one in each hand, and he held them above his head as he rocketed towards the ground, and as he went through the treetops, he then stabbed both of his Sai's into a nearby thick tree trunk, which slowed him down, but still didn't completely take away all of his momentum.
Hanzo dislodged the Sai's quickly and jumped off the trunk, and flipped backward in midair before landing on the ground, kicking up some dust, and he slid on the forest floor for about a meter before finally stopping, and Hanzo took in a deep breath before he looked around, and said to himself, "So, the Northern Part of the forest? Guess that's where I should head first."
/
Pierce held the trident with one hand, the other end leaning on his shoulder as he said to his purple clad counterpart, Clarice, "You know, I'm starting to think that maybe we were made for each other."
Clarice raised an eyebrow at him as they walked through the forest, "What makes you think that?"
Pierce shrugged, "Well, we practically landed only about 10 yards from each other, so I guess it's kinda pure luck."
Clarice rolled her eyebrows, and replied, "Yeah, yeah, whatever. Keep dreaming."
Pierce cleared his throat, and said, "Hey, Clarice, do you happen to know which way is North?"
Clarice turned towards him, and said, "What do you mean!? Wouldn't your semblance be able to tell you that?"
Pierce shook his head, and said, "Battle Instincts is for combat, if its name doesn't give away the purpose, but outside of combat, I can't use it for anything else."
Clarice scoffed, and pointed to their right, saying, "That way is North."
"Right, right," Pierce said, "Alright, let's go!"
However, when Pierce took a step, he suddenly felt…..something. He was feeling a negative, dark emotion behind them about 10 meters away. It set alarms off in his head, and danger rang throughout him. This was Pierce's semblance. Battle Instincts, which was always on, and it made it practically impossible to attack Pierce without him noticing them, no matter if they attacked him from above, below, or behind. And to top it off, his semblance also had another part to it, a part that he could manually activate, and when he did, his reflexes and combat intuition and skills soared upwards.
Clarice stopped when she noticed that Pierce stopped moving, and asked, "Hey, Pierce, something wrong?"
However, when she saw him tighten his grip on his trident, and the serious expression on his face, she nodded, and as quick as a flash, she grabbed the contraption on her back, and it then transformed into a purple vanore bow, the the nock where her arrows go also acted as a handle, with the two other halves of the bow turning into purple blades, giving her the ability of both ranged and melee combat.
However, many would have been confused by this choice of weapon, for she had no quiver.
However, despite this, Clarice pointed the bow towards the area behind Pierce, mainly due to him gesturing there, and Pierce spun around and held his trident in a combat stance, as three large Ursa's came thundering out of the shrubbery.
Clarice prepared to nock a imaginary arrow into the bow, but as she did, a transparent arrow, seemingly made entirely out of a purple energy, formed out of thin air and in nestled perfectly into the bow, and Clarice pulled the arrow back and fired, her aim true as it lodged into one of the Ursa's eyes, and Pierce charged forward at one of the Ursa's that roared and charged back.
As the huntsmen and Grimm charged at one another, Clarice readied another arrow, however, this one seemed to have a little blue light in the center of it, and she let the arrow fly.
The purple arrow flew towards the other Ursa, and hit the bear square in the chest, and exploded in a burst of loud sound and blue light.
Clarice smiled at the successful hit of her Sonic Disruptor arrow
The explosion of sound and blue light sent the Ursa next to it flying off to the side, and the grimm that was charging at Pierce lost its footing and went flying towards Pierce, who then thrusted the three prongs of his trident deep into the chest of the Ursa, and and swung the Ursa over his head and smashed the Grimm into the ground behind him, and followed up by stomping a booted foot onto the head of the bear, before dislodging his trident from the bear
Pierce looked to where the sonic boom came from, and saw that the third surviving Ursa had already been impaled by 2 more of Clarice's arrows before finally dissipating.
Pierce leaned the trident on his shoulder and turned to Clarice, and said, "Well, that was kind of easy. Gotta say, I expected more of a fight."
Clarice transformed her bow into its compact form and strapped it back onto her back and said, "Three Ursa's. You expected three Ursa's to put up a fight against US?"
Pierce shrugged, "Hey, just a thought."
Clarice shook her head, and she said, "Let's just get going."

"Did you hear that?" Jaune asked Pyrrha as they walked through the Emerald forest. They were strolling through and making small talk when suddenly Jaune had heard the sound of guns
"Gunfire," Pyrrha responded, "It seems that some of our comrades had encountered the enemy."
Pyrrha and Jaun kept walking on, when Jaune got hit in the face by a branch, and it sent him sprawling to the ground.
"Yowch!" Jaune yelped
"Jaune! Are you alright?" Pyrrha asked
"It's alright," Jaune said as he felt the small cut under his left eye, "It's just a scratch."
As Jaune stood back up, Pyrrha asked, "Hey, Jaune, why didn't you activate your aura?"
"Huh?"
"You aura, Jaune, why isn't it on?"
"Gesundheit?"
"Jaune," Pyrrha asked in a serious tone, "Do you know what aura is?"
"Pfft, of course I do," Jaune waved, before pointing at Pyrrha, "Do you know what aura is?!"
Pyrrha looked at Jaune, and it looked almost as if a spark was in her eyes, "Aura is the manifestation of our soul, and it bears our burdens and shields our hearts. Have you ever felt like you were being watched without knowing that someone was there?"
"Uh, yeah."
"With practice, our aura can become our shield," Pyrrha said as she then circled around him, her emerald green eyes locking with Jaune's blue, "Everyone has it, even animals."
"What about monsters?"
"No, the monsters that we fight lack a soul. They are creatures of Grimm, the manifestation of anonymity. They are the darkness, and we are the light."
"Right! That's why we fight them!" Jaune confirmed, but Pyrrha gave a light frown, and replied, "It's not about why, but rather it's about knowing. Understanding both darkness and light is what gives us the key to manifest our aura. Everyone has some of both."
Jaune made a confused sigh, and said, "I still don't get it with how that's supposed to help me."
Pyrrha said with a small smile, "By baring our soul outwards as a force, you can deflect harm, and with all of our tools, all of our conduits for aura. You project yourself and all of your soul when fighting."
"Oh!" Jaune suddenly realized, "So it's like a forcefield!"
"Yes, you can look at it that way."
Pyrrha then walked closer to Jaune, and put a hand on his cheek, "Now, close your eyes and concentrate."
"Uh, ok," Jaune said nervously as he reluctantly closed his eyes
Pyrrha closed her eyes, and reached to Jaune's soul with her aura, and began to say in her mind to his soul the very words that her own master had said to her before, "For it is in passing that we achieve immortality. Through this, we become a paragon of virtue and glory to rise above all, infinite in distance and unbound by death, I release your soul, and by my shoulder, protect thee."
Pyrrha then removed her hands, and was a bit winded by unleashing Jaune's aura, but still, it was finished.
"Pyrrha, are you alright!" Jaune said panicky
"It's alright," Pyrrha reassured him, "I used my aura to unlock yours, but the energy that protects you now is your own."
Pyrrha smiled at him, and watched as the small cut under Jaune's eye seemingly vanished.
"You have a large pool of it," Pyrrha said
/
Gaara looked around as he walked through the forest. He had used his sand to make a platform for his landing strategy, but then resorted to traveling by foot, mainly to conserve his chakra. He didn't know what lurked in this world, and certainly wanted his full strength if he were to be attacked by something very powerful. But based on the black monsters that have attacked him recently, he wasn't very impressed.
Gaara heard a rustling to his left, and frowned when another black, wolf-like creature charged at him, and Gaara sighed as he crossed his arms, waiting for the Beowolf to near him.
The Beowolf leaped up and towards Gaara, it's claws outstretched for his neck, when suddenly Gaara sidestepped the lunge, and the Beowolf sailed by Gaara and slid across the floor, before charging at Gaara again, and swiped a claw at the boy.
A stream of sand snaked out of the gourd and blocked the Beowolf's claw, and Gaara simply looked at the Beowolf expressionlessly. The stream of sand suddenly shot forward and stabbed through the Beowolf's chest, and the Grimm began to dissipate.
The sand then snaked back into Gaara's gourd before he continued his journey to the temple.
As Gaara walked along, he began to survey the area again, when he heard what seemed to be a scuffle off to his left. Gaara jogged towards what seemed to be a fight.
As Gaara pushed aside some tree branches, he saw what seemed to be a man in blue fighting off what seemed to be three bear-like Grimm off with ease.
Gaara watched as the stranger held a pair of blue Sai's, one in each hand, the one in his left hand held backwards.
The stranger jumped up onto the shoulders of one of the bear-like Grimm, and used it's head as a launching pad as he lifted off the monster and kicked another bear-like Grimm in it's snout while in midair, and he did with enough force to make the bear stumble backward somewhat, and he landed in front of the bear and crouched down and did a sweeping kick and hit the bear's feet out from under its body, and it hit the ground with a thud.
The stranger turned around to see the third Grimm charging towards him from behind, and he jumped up and performed an acrobatic backflip in midair and landed squarely on the Grimm's back, and began to slash at its neck.
The bear roared in pain and rounded up to fall on top of the boy, but he was simply too fast! The boy hopped off the grimm's back before he could be squashed by it, and as soon the bear hit the ground, the boy darted forward and stabbed its neck repeatedly with his Sai's, successfully finishing it off.
The boy turned around to see the other two Grimm getting up and getting ready to attack him.
The boy got into a combat stance, ready to finish these two, when quite suddenly, two tendrils of sand wrapped around each of the Grimm's neck, and many more began to wrap around their limbs, and Hanzo watched as the sand tendrils tore the Grimm apart, limb by limb.
As the Grimm dissipated, Gaara showed himself, and his sand began to snake back into his gourd. Gaara crossed his hands and said, "Hello there."
Hanzo sheathed each of his Sai's, and said, "I didn't need your help."
Gaara tilted his head, and replied, "Well, you got it anyway."
Hanzo turned towards the North, and began to walk wordlessly, and Gaara followed, saying, "I guess this means that we're partners."
"Is that a question? Or a demand?" Hanzo responded
"It was a assumption," Gaara replied
Hanzo nodded
"I am Hanzo. Hanzo Hasashi."
"Gaara. Gaara of the Sand."
"The Sand?" Hanzo asked, "That's your last name?"
Gaara shrugged, " I have been going by that name my entire life. I have never questioned it."
Hanzo frowned, and asked, "Certainly you would have an actual last name."
Gaara looked away from Hanzo, and said, "I never knew the family name of my mother. And I didn't really get close to my father's family name either."
"I understand," Hanzo said, "I won't press it any more."
After about a few minutes of walking, Hanzo spoke up, "So, your semblance is the ability to control sand?"
Gaara, unsure how to answer, just replied, "I have had this ability since I was just a toddler."
Hanzo nodded, and stopped pressing the question
They then came across a clearing to the edge of a cliff, and a bridge led across it to a white, ancient-looking building of sorts.
Gaara looked at Hanzo, and said, "You think this is the place?"
"It seems so," Hanzo, "We should probably hurry."
Gaara and Hanzo were suddenly interrupted by the sounds of panicked screaming, and when they turned their heads, they saw a giant Deathstalker chasing the spartan-armored girl that Gaara had seen earlier, and Jaune was holding onto it's barbed tail, trying not to fall off, while screaming panicked at the same time.
Gaara suddenly saw two more figures run towards the Deathstalker, the boy and purple girl that Gaara had seen earlier at the assembly.
Gaara looked at Hanzo, and he nodded, and Hanzo, as if confirming his thoughts, then ran towards the Deathstalker, with Gaara creating a small platform of sand and hopping on it and going off into the air.
Hanzo ran towards the Deathstalker, and drew both of his Sai's, but was a bit startled when a purple arrow went whizzing by him, and hit the Deathstalker clear in the head, and exploded in a burst of purple energy, stunning the Deathstalker for a few seconds, but the force of the explosion caused Jaune to go flying off of the Deathstalker's barbed tail, who yelped as he hit the floor.
Hanzo looked at the red-haired spartan, and recognized her to be Pyrrha Nikos, the 'invincible girl.' Hanzo turned back towards the Deathstalker, and he leaped forward and landed on the Deathstaker's head, and began to attempt to slash at the Deathstalker's back, only for his Sai's to inflict only minor cuts. This Grimm certainly had tough skin.
Hanzo quickly leaped off before the Deathstalker's pincer could whack him off, and he flipped in midair and landed on the ground, sliding for about a foot or two on the grass.
Suddenly, two more purple arrows hit the Deathstalker, one in it's head, another on it's arm, and Hanzo looked to his side to see the other boy in brown armor and a trident in his hand charge towards the Deathstalker head on.
Pierce gave out a battle cry as he jumped up and tried to impale his trident into the Deathstalker's head, but it only sunk into it enough to cause it pain, but nothing else.
"Uh oh," Pierce said nervously as suddenly the Deathsatlker's pincer slammed into him from the left, and Pierce went flying backward, and he grunted as he hit the ground.
Pierce looked up to see the Deathstalker raise its barbed tail, and he knew enough that it was going to strike. Pierce rolled backwards, the barb piercing the ground where he was not just half a second ago, and Pierce rolled into a crouching position.
Pierce suddenly felt the wind around him intensify, and in less than a half-second, almost as if out of the gathering wind itself, Hanzo appeared next to him
"What the!?" Pierce said in surprise
Hanzo held both of his Sai's backwards, and he slashed twice in the Deathstalker's face, before following up with a spin kick.
Pierce suddenly felt his semblance going off, and he grabbed Hanzo and shouted, "Get down!"
He pulled both of them down to the ground as suddenly two more purple arrows hit the Deathstalker, exploding as it hit its thick hide.
The Deathstalker, seemingly to have had enough, turned towards the source of the bombardment, and saw Clarice, who already had 2 more arrows nocked into her bow, ready to fire.
The Deathstalker suddenly began to charge towards the girl, when suddenly Pyrrha came from above and stabbed her spear into the Deathstalker's head, and quickly grabbed Pierce's trident, which was still lodged in the Deathstalker, and pulled both her spear and the trident out and jumped off it, all the while tossing the trident to Pierce in midair.
Suddenly, a gale of wind began to swirl and spin around Hanzo, and then he dashed forward and seemed to turn into the wind itself, and the gale of wind that he had turned himself into traveled towards the Deathstalker's barbed tail, and Hanzo seemed to emerge out of the wind and reappear above the tail, and he landed on the tail and started to repeatedly stab it.
"Teleportation semblance," Pierce said as he thought about how Hanzo had appeared out of nowhere earlier, "So that's how he got there earlier."
Meanwhile, in the air, Gaara watched down below from his sand platform. Gaara thrusted his hands into his platform, and suddenly streams of sand shot out of both his gourd and his platform, and the tendrils of sand shot towards the Deathstalker with a terrifyingly fast speed, and the tendrils grabbed both it's pincers, tail, and pinned it down.
Hanzo had hopped off the tail as the tendril grabbed its limb, and used his teleportation semblance to get some distance between him and the Deathstalker.
Gaara then began to hold the Deathstalker, and Clarice then began to pepper the Deathstalker with a few of her explosive arrows, each exploding in a burst of purple energy.
Gaara suddenly heard the screeching of a bird, and looked to his left to see a giant Nevermore rocketing towards him.
Gaara's eyes widened in surprise, and on instinct he made his sand platform collapse, and he then began to fall to the ground, the body of the Nevermore passing by not only inches from his head.
Gaara looked up and took a sigh of relief, when he heard the sound of someone screaming, and he looked up to see Ruby falling from the sky.
"Was she riding that thing!?"
Gaara watched as she falled to the ground helplessly, towards Gaara. Closer and closer. Gaara watched her as she fell towards his direction, and sighed as she landed on the ground right next to him, and kicked up a dust cloud.
Gaara turned to Ruby and said, "You know, you should think of better means of transportation."
Ruby groaned, and he saw as well as Weiss crashed to the ground as well, however, it seemed that she landed on top of Jaune, who seemed to have just gotten up to his feet.
"Ow," Jaune said, "My back."
Gaara rubbed his head in embarrassment as he turned to the Deathstalker, which seemed to have just broken free of Gaara's sand shackles.
Gaara got ready to attack the scorpion once again when suddenly Ruby's blonde sister, Yang, came dashing by him, her blonde hair now a golden flame, and she dashed towards the Deathstalker at a amazing speed and and she smashed her fist against the head of the Deathstalker, her semblance taking affect, and multiplied her punching power by almost tenfold, and the force of the attack sent the Deathstalker stumbling backward.
Pyrrha threw her spear up into the air, and it spun around as it soared above the Deathstalker, and using her semblance, made the spear come rocketing down, spear-point facing downwards, and the spear impaled itself in the Deathstalkers left eye. Gaara dashed forward with an incredible speed, and once he neared the stunned Deathstalker, he held both of his hands out, and the sand that laid on the ground from the sand shackles before shot up and towards the Deathstalker, and held its limbs in place.
Suddenly, both Ren and Nora came out of nowhere, and Hanzo and Ren charged towards the Deathstalker, and jumped up on the tendrils of sand and used them as a launchpad and both of them slashed at the Deathsatlker's heavy barb, and it came falling down on the Deathstalker's head.
Nora then jumped up and held her giant hammer above her head, and slammed it down onto the barb, impaling it into the Deathstalkers head. The scorpion slumped down, and began to dissipate.
Gaara turned around to see that while he had been occupied with the Deathstalker, Ruby, Weiss had been occupied with trying to fight the Nevermore. They were in the middle of the bridge, and Ruby had started shooting at the Nevermore with her sniper scythe, while Weiss summoned sharp icicles with her glyphs.
However, the Nevermore flew with a surprisingly fast speed for a giant bird, and the Nevermore began to dive towards Ruby and Weiss on the bridge.
Gaara crouched and created another sand platform and jumped on it and started to fly towards Ruby and Weiss as fast as he could.
Suddenly, Gaara saw out of the corner of his eye a white and black figure appear on the Nevermore's back, and when he went to get a better look, he saw Blake with a black katana, and the feline-girl slashed multiple times at the back of the Nevermore's neck, before jumping off it.
The Nevermore, in an attempt to knock Blake off, turned its head around and tried to peck her with its giant beak, but the girl had jumped off already before it could, and the Nevermore, having been distracted, suddenly rammed into the stone bridge, head first.
The Nevermore managed to regain flight before falling, and started to circle back.
Meanwhile, Weiss and Ruby were sent flying when the Nevermore hit the bridge, and began to fall down the gorge in between. Weiss created a platform glyph for both her and Ruby, and the two used them to jump back up to the other side of the bridge, where Blake stood, with her katana turned into pistol mode, as she fired at the Nevermore from afar off.
Ruby and Weiss landed next to her, and Ruby asked, "What do we do now?"
Suddenly, Yang came up, having used her shotgun gauntlets to give her extra speed to get her across the broken bridge, and Yang asked, "Hey! What did I miss?"
Weiss pointed her rapier, Myrtenaster, at the Nevermore that was currently flying towards them, and Weiss said, "That is what you missed."
Yang gave a cocky grin, and said, "Well, time to hit it with everything we've got!"
Yang put her fists up, and began to shoot shotgun blasts at the Nevermore with her shotgun gauntlets, Ember Celica, while Blake shot with her Gambol Shroud and Ruby with her Crescent Rose. Weiss also summoned icicles from her glyphs and shot them at the Nevermore, but the projectile's didn't do a lot of damage against the Nevermore's thick hide, and the giant bird kept charging towards them.
Ruby stopped aiming her sniper scythe when she realized that they wouldn't be able to kill it in time. Ruby began to hold her sniper scythe in a defensive position and shouted, "Everyone! Brace yourselves!"
Ruby closed her eyes and waited for impact, but when no impact came but instead a startled screech, Ruby opened her eyes a little, and gave a surprise gasp when she noticed a large and thick collar of sand had wrapped itself around the Nevermore's neck.
"Huh!?" Blake shouted in surprise
The Nevermore struggled and clawed at the sand collar that had seemed to materialize out of nowhere, but it just wouldn't come off. Suddenly, the collar seemed to drag the Nevermore backwards through the air, and the four girls suddenly saw large rivers of sand come out of what seemed to be, well, everywhere.
It was coming out of the bridge, out of the cliff that Yang was previously on, and it looked as if a giant river of sand was pouring out of it.
"Hey, look!" Weiss exclaimed, as she pointed up, "It's Gaara!"
And sure enough, as the four girls looked up in the air, there was Gaara on a small sand platform, hovering in the air, and he had his hands crossed as he stood up looking at the Nevermore that struggled in his grasp
The giant rivers of sand began to snake through the air towards the Nevermore, and began to wrap around the giant bird. More and more came, and the Nevermore began to flail around trying to break free of it's bonds, but as more sand began to wrap around the bird, it soon was unable to even move, and then it become completely sealed inside a giant sphere of sand that seemed to just hang in midair, and the sphere of sand was almost three times the size of the Nevermore.
Gaara raised his left hand, and swiped it to his left, and the sphere of sand suddenly shot towards the other side of the gorge where the ancient building layed, and slammed into the ground and exploded.
As the sand began to spread apart, the Nevermore could be seen underneath, its head and part of its wings sticking out of the pile of sand atop it.
"Hmph," Gaara scoffed, "Still alive. I guess you certainly can take a hit."
Gaara suddenly held his arms full length out to his sides, and said, "But this one will finish you."
Gaara slammed his palms together, and shouted, "Suna no Kaiwan: Nigiri Tsubush! (Monstrous Sand Arm: Gripping Crush)"
The sand that was piled atop the Nevermore suddenly spread apart and released the Nevermore, however some of the sand underneath the Nevermore pushed it back up onto it's feet, only for the sand that spread away from it to suddenly come flying towards the Nevermore in the form of two giant tsunami of sand, and there was a loud boom as the two tsunami's crushed the Nevermore in between them.
Many could hear the giant strong bones of the Nevermore crack and snap, and the Nevermore slumped down and dissipated, managing to give out one last caw before it died.
Gaara crossed his arms, and for some reason thought of Deidara and his blasted white clay bird.
"I hate birds."
