Welcome back to the adventure! To recap, we met a bunch of familiar faces and few new ones. But for every adventure, trouble brew. From threaten to be kick out to a small owl stealing her bag. Luz not catching a break isn't she. Now finding herself in a pickle as mysterious robe people challenge the owl lady to battle. What a fine night for a battle.

*? Force you in to a battle*

Luz clutches her pokeball as she throws it out. "Go! Azrua!" Her ghost pops out of the battle ready for battle. "Decidueye let's mess these people up!" The monk owl tilts its head like tipping a hat to acknowledge his master orders. The opponents silently threw their pokemon out. A pretty angry chick with a big crack egg pops one of the balls. The other is an aloof dog that stands tall and ready for battle. "A Vullaby and a Rockruff" Luz identifies quickly. "Woah you're like a walking pokedex." King complimented. Luz gives a smirk as she prepares for battle.

"Vullaby, Taunt them!" The plump bird gives a mocking gesture to the opponents and both of their pokemon start to get angry. "Rockruff bite them!" With a signal the dog starts to charge right into the ghost to bite it. "Time to put our foot down! Decidueye uses Rock Smash!" With a quick few steps the monk bird steps in front of the ghost and then with its raised foot smash the poor pupper into the ground. Seeing his partner in trouble the figure commands. " Bird, Use Gust!" With is non-existence small wings it starts to blow fast wind under the monk and blows it back to get it off its partner. "Okay Azura let's hit them hard! Shadow Ball!" The ghost charges a blob of dark energy and sends it to the poor pupper, smacking down and out. "Dang!" The figure recalls his pokemon and arms with the next one. The person tosses it and another pokemon comes out. A small dove pokemon stand and ready. "That's 100% a Pidove." Luz commented on it.

Eda observes her two opponents. "Kid, Let's make this quick!" Luz nods and holds out her terasallization ball. Like before the energy goes into the ball and she throws it over the ghost head and gains its heart crown. Both figures look at each other and laugh at the ridiculous creature now has a crown. "Hehe what's that supposed to do?" The figure mocks her. Luz gives a wicked grin "Azura! Tera blast!' The little ghost starts to charge a ball of condensed energy and fires it at the tiny vulture as it tries to dodge the attack but gets nail. Both figures look at each other and then back at the duo. "Nice human!" King cheer. "It's Luz! Luz is my name." King gives a thumbs up. "Alright Luz your not the only one who got some bit behind them, Decidueye use Triple Arrow!" The monk knocks three arrows into its makeshift wing bow and fires three sharp feather-like arrows. The tiny bird dodge the first arrow but gets hit by the other two. Eda with a satisfied grin, in two shots the bird is already down. Both the figures are shocked they were dealt with so quickly. "Luz wasn't it?" Luz nods with a proud smile.

The eyes of one figure can be vaguely seen through the mask, looking for some form of approval. The other shrugs. "Do it." The figure pulls out a pokeball and the lady notices something is off about this. "Go my beast!" The figure throws his pokeball and what comes out of it is a black bull. "Tauros for sure. We got this." As Luz prepares for another round of battling. "Don't be too cocky Luz. I feel something is off here." Luz took a closer observation and something was really off. There was a tense aura, more than a usual for a bull but maybe it was her nerves. "Hey isn't it me or it's or do you see small purple smoke coming off from it?" King said. The two trainers look at each other then back at their opponent and one more time try to see this smoke the small cubone mentions. "King, we don't see the smoke you mention." Eda said as she tried to see if she didn't miss that detail. "Shadow Rush." The bull goes ballistic and charges forward. "Triple arrows now!" The Monk preps another three arrows and fires it at the charging bull. All three arrows land but the tauros keep charging, shrugging off the attack. "Shadow ball!?" The ghost makes a blob of dark energy and fires it and hits it straight on the face, but the bull didn't stop the charge and closes the gap to Azura. "No! Dodge it!" It was too late for that command as it slams into the ghost knocking her on its back.

"Now! Snag it!" The figure on its left reveals a machine strap on its arm. It starts to whirl and a shadow-infuse pokeball forms from the machine and grabs the ball. They toss it at Azura and nail it as it goes into the pokeball. "Azura! No! What are you doing!" Luz cried out. The ball starts to shake like trying to capture a wild pokemon. "NO!" crying her heart out. As she yells the arm machine starts to fluctuate and it explodes on the person's arm. "Dang the Snag machine broke on me!" The figure said. "That's our most powerful asset! It seriously broke on us!?" The other figure exclaimed. The pokeball stopped shaking and Azura broke out but was physically covered in dark purple smoke. Eda raised an eyebrow, taking note of it. "Azura!" Luz yells out as the ghost shakes off the dark show off it. She runs up to her ghost and hugs her. "You okay girl." The tiny ghost looks at her trainer and is already in tears as it cuddles her master close. "What weakness to care for a beast, Shadow Blitz!" The bull puffs as it goes for another charge, barreling towards Luz. "Not on my watch, Protect!" The bird monk dash forward in front Luz and Azura as the bull smash in head first. The bird held its ground as the charge almost got near the two. "Decidueye! Leaf Blade!" The monk, using its leaf-like feathers; starts to slash at the bull like a blade. The bull recoils from the attack as it backs off.

From the ground a worm-like figure pops from the ground, hitting the angry bull up into the air. "Eda~, I'm here~!" The worm-like creature says. The bull lands on top of one the figure, knocking the bull out. "Ugh! The wretched thing off me!" as the figure struggles to get off the heavy pokemon. The other figure looks at their situation. "We lost our catch, we have to retreat." The figure with the broken robo-arm said. "Eda? Who are those guys?" the worm creature asked "Hooty not right now! Stop those guys!" The person calls back the bull that's on him and him and the robot arm person start to bolt to the hills. The fast little creature caught up to the two figures and snatched one without the robot arm by the cape with its beak. "Dang!" They were being almost lifted into the air but with quick thinking the person took off its cloak. The person lands on his feet as the other helps their partner out on to their feet. "I wish we didn't have the faulty one but noooo, the nerd said it was working condition." The capeless man said as they ran away. "Well we should have a bigger party than the two of us. Better yet, more snag machine." The other said as they ran away from sight.

*BGM None*

Eda runs over to the three and catches her tried out bird by its arm and let it sit on the floor. She pulls out from her fanny pack a weird bottle of orange liquids and feeds it to her monk. Then she checked the condition of her pokemon and was surprised to see it took some damage. She pull out a cream and applies it to her pokemon. Once treat she checks up on the girl. "Luz, are you both alright?" Eda ask with a hint of concern. "I'm doing okay but Azura is shaken. I don't know what happen to her when she got captured into the ball." She cuddle closer to her ghost. "She must have seen something that made her scared." "Or something happened to her mentally. Like the that tarous, it was way more reckless than the usual, like it was more its wild instinct." Eda summarized.

King joins up with the rest of them and sits with Luz. "Hey Misdrevus? Can you tell us what happens when you got captured inside the ball?" He asked the ghost. "Mis…" the little ghost said, fighting back its tears. The two pokemon start to talk as Hooty joins them. "Hey Eda look what I got." The worm starts to throw up a now wet cape. "Thank Hooty…" Eda takes the cape, much to her disgust, and examines it. 'Huh wonder what this means?" on the white hood had a golden symbol of a bird there. It wasn't recognizable but it was definitely in the shape of a bird. "Hooty do your thing for the night." "Okay Eda!" The worm goes underground and then resurfaces and attaches himself to the door. Luz was a little disgusted with the scene. No she was really disgusted by the now confirmed diglett. How and why. "Come inside Luz." She nods as lifts her ghost and all four of them go inside the house.

*BGM Home (Indoor) - Pokemon Scarlet and Violet*

"What an event filled night huh." She passes a cup of her homebrew tea to Luz. King and Azura are still chatting. "It was a little frightening when they tried to steal my pokemon but still lucky that weird robot arm broke down." "It was lucky it broke down but if it didn't, I have a sneaky suspicion that it will end up like that tauros." Eda pours her tea and drinks it as well. "You got skill honey. Most trainers usually are average. You have something." Luz eyes glitter. "Really?" "Well you got some ways to go but you have potential." "Then maybe you can train me?" Luz asked. The lady waved her hand. "No can do. Let's just say I'm maybe the worst person to teach you how to battle better." Eda now sees Luz giving her puppy eyes. "Please Ms. Eda?" Eda took a moment and with a sigh she gave in. "Fine Luz, it might be for the best cause I bet ya that those creeps are coming back." "Yes!" And with that she fully relaxed into the couch. Luz's Misdrevus floats to her and sits on her lap as she continues sipping her tea.

"Sorry about that." King hops over and sits next to her. "If you want to know what happened back, your ghost almost got consumed by this corruption darkness." Luz petted her ghost. "It was like the darkness was tempting her to forget about you and told her how terrible they were." King shakes his head. "The shadow told her to go wild, destroy everything and-"

"King, I think that's enough. Let the kid rest, like I said to her, they were coming back and were mostly fighting those guys again." The cubone nods. "Oh yeah, I haven't really introduced you to my little friends here huh." Luz shakes her head. "Right, let's get the introductions out the way quick. One next to you that can talk is King." "And a rightful ruler soon to be ruler!" He stands with authority. "But you're too cute for that." Luz hugs the little cubone." King just struggles with her hug."Wait, how can you talk?" She asked. "If you let me down I can tell you." She lets him down but king doesn't speak on the matter and Luz pouts. The small little hoot-hoot rested on her shoulder. "The thief that decided to join us is Owlbert. He's not much of a fighter but still is my valuable partner. "I'm still mad at you." Luz points to the tiny owl. The little owl remorse a little and hid himself in Eda's hair. "Finally the pokemon guarding our door here is Hooty, our Diglett." Luz scratches her head, "but I thought diglett didn't come off the ground, or even talk in that matter." Luz saying this but also taking a jab at King. "Still I got to say this Luz. From an outsider's view, we're a bunch of weirdos; you're very sure you want to stick with us?" Luz smiles when Eda says that. "Lucky, maybe I'm also a weirdo as well." Eda snorted on her comment.

"Tell me more about yourself, kid." "Well my name is Luz Noceda, currently I'm a student of Narajuvu Academy." Eda cringes on her stay but lets her continue. "I'm working on being the best trainer I can be really, but let's just say I'm struggling to become the best." She rubs her ghost. "This is Azura, one of my new partners before my reset." "Reset?" Eda questions. "Let's say something happened that made me not want to use my old team." "Wait, how skilled are you?" King asked this time. Luz shuffles into her bag and pulls out her badge case and shows her seven badges. "Wow! Wait then why do you need my help? Just knock out that last gym." "It's complicated. Luz downcast. "Certain things happened that made me lose focus, from that point onward, my expressiveness during battle became too much. Doesn't help people look at me funny when I do be myself." Eda with a soft smile put a hand on the child."Tonight take it easy. Tomorrow we start your training." With that Luz is excited to train with a master.

Up on the hilltop where the house can be looked over a mysterious man sits observing the house. "Looks like shadow pokemon are on the rise here in Paldea." He combed his ginger spiky hair back as he adjusted his yellow jacket. He pressed into his ear. "Jovi, it's happening here in Paldea. Get a few members here." He sits up walks over to his air motorcycle. "And call him and his crew over … we have to stop this in its tracks." He starts up his motorcycle and rides off.

This feels bit bad for me but I finish these two chapters in somewhat a timely fashion. First off this second battle felt so one side for me (its maybe because of the constructed teams). The more length these battles go, it will get harder as I start to implement more Pokémon. Real life made me not want to write this till the very last day (today). Is this what a mini writer block do to me. Man that scary. Back to the positives. If you played Coliseum and/or XD, you're in for a treat. If you also notice Luz moves, yes, she held back. Don't worry, this feels shorter chapter, but I made it best of my ability. Eda Decidueye is something of a special mon, there a few recent games where it changes its to looked like a monk to me (but doesn't get feet like attacks w/o TM). Also writing up king and hooty the way they look is still maybe one of my best ideas. I mean c'mon, beta king is pretty much a cubone. Do I feel proud of this chapter. Not in the slightest where chapter 2 felt better to write. Writing up king and hooty yeah. The battle itself, it can be longer. But do you guys enjoy longer?
