Jaime couldn't resist anymore, he had to admit to himself how peaceful you looked sleeping, your chest rose and fell gently with each breath. A sense of peace and comfort came over Jaime, he smiled to himself and reached out to brush a strand of hair away from your face. It was the gentlest touch he'd ever done, being careful not to stir you awake.

His heart burst with every emotion, every emotion that desires to be said. He could feel them impatiently waiting in his throat urging to be released. But he didn't want to wake you, he wanted to know what you were dreaming about. It had to be a wonderful dream, it just had to be, he thought. No one could look as serene as you did sleeping, despite everything happening.

Jaime withdrew his hand and you stirred slightly in your sleep, he froze for a moment. He chuckled softly, you stopped and scooted yourself closer to him. How adorable you looked. Jaime couldn't hold back any longer. He leaned in, closed his eyes, and pressed a tender kiss. As he pulled back a look of devastation washed over him…you were gone!

Your spot was empty!

Frantically Jaime looked around the room, there was no sign of you. None at all. Tossing the sheets off Jaime jumped out of the bed. He ripped open the closet door and looked under the bed and in the bathroom. There was no sign of you.

His heart raced and his breath became short shallow gasps.

Where were you!?

Where did you go!?

"May!" He screamed, his voice cracking with fear, "May! May where are you? May!"

"May!" Blue Beetle gasped jolting awake, sitting bolt upright his body trembling uncontrollably.

The sound of the Scarb's voice pierced Blue's gripping fear, it brought him back and helped him register his surroundings, even as his head spun. He was still in...turtles..correction the Hamato family's home. The old abandoned substation under the streets of New York, he was in one of the rooms that use to belong to one of the...sons. Zatana with her magic transformed it into a more suitable room, with the basic essentials and necessities aka, two beds, sheets, pillows, and a few other things in the four rooms. Everyone was paired with someone, almost everyone Robin had his own, and Blue shared his with Kid. Tye and Asami in another and Static with Roy.

Remembering Kid, Blue looked over at him. Kid was fast asleep, snoring a bit and enjoying some sort of dream. Blue envied him a bit, if only he could have sleepful nights...but he wasn't permitted. Blue hadn't been for quite a while, having these dreams about you...they started off pleasant only to end suddenly and he'd jolt awake. His heart always clenched each time, with such pain at first he could barely take it, but now...he learned to endure it.

He needed some 'air'. Quietly he rose from his bed and left the room. The lair...home settled with a still quietness, without the clock on the wall he wouldn't know it was past midnight. Slowly Blue walked over to the couch(Zatanna's magic) and sat down with sunken shoulders. His mind had stopped spinning, and he could fully focus.

That dream...it was different from the other ones, this one was...he could still feel the softness of your hair on the tips of his finger. He could still smell your delicate scent, which held a calmness in him. It was a mix of floral and freshness. He could see your heart-shaped face clear as day, beautifully, your hair framing it, while covering it slightly. That's why he moved a few strands so he could gaze at it. Just as he had before...you looked so comfortable he couldn't put it into words and...and...

"Figured it was you," Tye spoke, standing behind the couch and staring at Blue with a deep look of awareness in his blue eyes on his stoic face.

Blue felt Tye's eyes latch onto something, this knowing feeling set in Tye's eyes with a sense of compassion. Without another word Tye came around and sat down next to his friend, they sat in silence and stared at the television(Zatanna again).

Tye finally broke it with one word, "May?"

Blue stiffened, his heart pounding in his chest breaking the silence further, Tye closed his eyes and smirked knowingly, melting the tension Blue had. Blue joined him slightly.

"Yeah," Blue admitted with relief and tenderness, that reflected in his eyes Tye saw. "Yeah, man. It's May. Just...worried is all. You know."

Tye humored him, "Yeah...completely get it. I'm worried about her too. But, not worried, worried like you." Blue wanted to be shocked but knew it was futile and chuckled, Tye kept his victory smirk, "Took you time to figure it out. Geez. So, how many dreams have you been having?"

Blue felt his whole body heat up, if not for armor Tye would see his tomato-red face and possibly the sweat rolling off...as well...well thank goodness for the suit. Blue wished he had a collar to pull right now, he wasn't sure why he was nervous talking to Tye about this...this talk should be easy between two friends.

"Well...ummm..."Blue flustered coughing a bit, "I mean...we all dream about...I mean..."Tye stretched his legs out until they popped. Blue couldn't beat around the bush, "Yeah." He admitted, "I've been having quite a few...actually more than a few. They've increased since being here, before that it every so often since...she well...went missing."

Tye was thoughtfully silent for a moment and asked, "What to tell me about them? Some of them?"

There was a hint of protectiveness in his words Blue noticed, warning him to tread carefully, Blue took a moment before answering, "Well," his voice at a whisper and filled with tenderness, "once we were both back in Rome. By a fountain at night, just standing there gazing up at the stars. We didn't say anything, I took her hand and...woke up. Another one was at school," he released a soft chuckle, "I found her in the library standing in the aisle...just reading. She stood there captivated by what she was reading. My heart just...it just...she felt my eyes on her and when she looked my way and our eyes meet, the smile she had was...God it was the best."

Blue paused to collect himself and fully submit to the emotions yet, he continued, "Another we were both dancing, her body pressed against mine and everything just seem to stand still. There was another one I was just walking her home and I took her hand." He kept going.

There was one with the two of you on a mission. The two of you watching a movie, the biggest one...that got Tye to break his silence and say, "I'm sorry...a family?! What?!" He turned with a shocked look all over his face looking at Blue, "Dang. Well...okay, keep going."

Blue finished a few more and the most recent one he had with you and him. Once he was done, silence filled the air. Dripplets of leaking pipes broke the silence until Tye did.

"I'm not a dream expert like my granddad," he began, "but your emotions are clear as day. I'm glad you figured it out. I just wish it was sooner, not during a time like this, but you were always a bit slow." He nudged Blue playfully, earning a snicker from Blue, "In all seriousness, sorry it hurts man. It ain't easy to get rid of a pain like that when love someone. Shit, I owe Asami fifteen dollars now." He muttered the last part. "We'll get her back, you know."

Blue gave a nod with a heavy sigh, "I know. I know. I just would like to...I mean." He stared at his hands still trembling slightly, they stopped when envisioned your hands resting in his. Tye observed the broken look Blue had, it was filled with anguish and love that only add further pain. Pain that turned into anger for a moment, came back softly. Tye knew he was thinking of you.

There wasn't much Tye could say right now, but he knew what he could. Lifting up a hand he set it on Blue's shoulder and gave it a comforting and understanding squeeze.

Blue felt it, his shoulders and head dropped, "Thanks...man." He said softly holding back the tears, "Thanks."

"Sure thing, Romeo."
