I came downstairs to see Katelyn and Aphmau surrounded by cats. "That's a lot of kitties." I whispered. I went back upstairs not wanting to get involved. I sat on my bed and checked my phone. I yawned and laid down, soon falling asleep. But my dreams weren't dreams, they were memories.
I sat with Daniel underneath the bleachers. "Hey Violet, are you going to prom?" he asked me. "Huh? Oh, um, maybe why?" I was startled by the question. "I was just wondering if you were planning to go with someone," he said. "No, I wasn't planning on going and besides no one's asked me." I said. "Well then, will you go to prom with me?" I blushed. "Really? YES!" I exclaimed, throwing my arms around him in a hug.
"Wow, that was fun!" I exclaimed as we walked back to my house. Prom had been amazing. We had danced and laughed together and hung out with our other friends. "But high heels suck. I don't think I can walk in these much longer." I sighed. "I can help!" Daniel said, scooping me up and running to my house. I laughed as we soared towards my house.
I stared at the starry sky. It was late and we were sitting on top of my house. "Awooo!" Daniel howled. "You try Violet!" "Okay! AWOOO!"I howled. "Not bad for a Meif'wa!" he said. "Thanks!" I giggled. We were quiet as we stared into each other's eyes. His eyes were deep blue and reflected the stars above. I blushed as I realized how close our faces were. He leaned in and gently pressed his lips against mine. I closed my eyes and kissed him back. When we finally pulled apart he took my hand and held it saying nothing. Then he gently whispered, "Will you be mine?" I took no hesitation to kiss him again, as yes. We stayed up on that rooftop for a while longer just enjoying being together.
I woke from my dreams happily. That was until I remembered that things were different now. That perfect night was in the past and I couldn't get it back. Tears rolled down my face as I took out the flower corsage he had given me on prom night. I held it close to me and laid there thinking of him and how the memory of his warm, soft, lips pressed against mine would never leave me.
This chapter was much shorter than usual mostly because I wanted to write some of Violet's history with Daniel. In this episode, the only important things happened to Aphmau so Violet could just be in her room thinking about her past and how she still can't get over Daniel. Please review!
