THE GRAND ARMY OF THE NEW REPUBLIC

Hey guys it's chaoskeeten and I bring you a new installment of this great story. Last we left off was Darth Vader and the empire leading an attack on dantooine to capture Anakin Skywalker and criple GANR forces. Plus my fan made introduction of of Moff Gideon and his origins. This will be the final part of the dantooine arc and maybe a surprise cameo from some favorite Mandalorians! With that out of the way let's get this started.
Dantooine: 14bby
Grand master Anakin Skywalker and Grand General Rex with the 501st army began to deal damage to the imperial invaders across the planet and to protect the secret Kaminoan cloning facility and city from imperials. Anti air defenses were making it hard for imperials to make a solid landing zone plus the imperials on ground were being out skilled by the clones and local separatists forces and locals who were battle harden plus more equipped to deal with this kind of assault. Yet even the ground forces know the empire will throw everyone to take this planet. Anakin leads the defense of the capital city of Dantooine while Rex protects the secret Kaminoan facility on one of its oceans that they established.
"Rex! Give me some good news for today!" Said Anakin as he finished dealing with several stormtroopers.
"We've established a strong defensive line on the Kaminoan facility. Imperial forces haven't been able to get an offensive going and we've been bringing them hell sir." Said Rex as he and several GANR forces began to push back imperial forces from one of its landing platforms.
"Good to hear, I'll check in on Ahsoka and see how they're handling up in space." Said Anakin as several stormtroopers squads and new purge troopers to counterattack the GANR forces in the capital with three AT-AT'S and ten AT-ST'S to bring some momentum back into imperial control. "Appo, have your boys ready for another round of imperial assault, we got some walkers coming up at your position!" Said Anakin
"Copy that sir! You heard the general, get ready for another assault ladies and gentlemen!" Said Appo as he saw several platoons of stormtroopers were deployed from the AT-AT walkers and more from imperial gunships along side of several more squads of purge troopers. "This is going to be fun." Said a B1 battle droid sarcastically as he was leading his squad of droids through some of the tougher battles in this defensive campaign.
As Anakin leads his troops to several demolished buildings and makeshift defenses he began to contact Ahsoka and see how she was doing.
"Ahsoka, what's the update with your side?" Said Anakin
Up in space was more chaotic and unpredictable as imperial forces have manage to make several small holes in the GANR defenses but not significant enough to land commit more forces to the planet surface. The command center up at space (a former imperial dockyard center) was the most heavily contested area of the space battle where if either side controls it they will have a big enough hole or cover to prevent or allow a huge amount of forces down to the planet. Ahsoka and Jesse were finishing up clearing a hanger bay out from imperial control when Anakin began to contact her.
"Master, I'm glad to hear a friendly voice right now. How are you and Rex holding up?" Said Ahsoka
"we're holding the lines down here. The imperials haven't had the chance to land a significant quantity of forces on us. Either they're not liking me or they prefer you for one." Said Anakin in a joking mater
"Very funny skyguy, we're getting out butts kicked up here. The imperials have been throwing everything they have to this section of the fleet. We're trying to hold the lines but they're not stopping. We may have to evacuate this station." Said Ahsoka
"We've also lost a significant chunk of the fleet sir. We've manage to hurt the imperial fleet as well so this station can be saved if we get some reinforcements though." Said Jesse as he already lost most of the forces on this station and the imperials were beginning to set up their positions across the station.
"I can see if a couple cruisers can lend some troops to you guys but if we get more imperial reinforcements we need to consider evacuation of this world. Hold on as long as you can until I get some support to you guys." Said Anakin as he cut off comms with his old apprentice as she and Jesse see several more imperial transports descend to their current location but this assault feels different then the others. Ahsoka can feel something different as she feels the presence of an inquisitor coming to them.
"Jesse, we got an inquisitor coming down. Let all available troops be on high alert. Shoot to kill for the inquisitors." Said Ahsoka as the transports dropped down to the hanger and started to deploy swayed of purge troopers and death troopers to deal with this situation. As they open fire on the GANR they began to decimate their forces before Ahsoka called for her forces to pull back from the hanger.
"Pull back! Pull back!" Commanded Ahsoka as they began to take heavy fire as She provides cover to deflect some of the blaster fire back to the enemy as two inquisitors stepped out from their shuttles: the second and ninth sisters. They been ordered to hunt down the Jedi on this station.
"I'll take the torguta one! You can go after the other Jedi from Bracca!" Said the ninth sister
"Remembers our orders: we take them alive for questioning for other known Jedi. The Grand inquisitor will handle Skywalker! All forces take all high rank commanders alive. Anyone else we shoot to kill!" Ordered the second sister as she departed with her forces as the Ninth sister begins to track her prey now.
Cal and Sarge were trying to find any surviving squads to buy time for a possible evacuation ordered by Ahsoka and Jesse as they managed to hold the escape pods and two hangers. They been rescuing survivors and getting them to planet side where Rex can give them some medical care. While cal lead the rescue side of the possible evacuation Sarge was holding the lines against imperial forces. He and his forces just cleared out another imperial assault from not only their positions but also helped out the command bridge in holding the line.
"Cal. This is Sarge. We got imperial inquisitors on the loose. Be on the look out for them. We've been ordered to terminate on sight!" Said sarge on the comms channel.
"Copy that old friend. I got another group of survivors and injured to evacuate. Alert the gunships to be ready for more." Said cal as he was near toward Sarge's position when he began to feel a dark presence close by as a inquisitor and her troops circled around another hallway to encounter the group of survivors and the Jedi.
"Deal with the survivors! The Jedi is mine!" As the second sister activates one end of her lightsaber while Cal activates his lightsaber as he leads his surviving men and women to get to safety while deflecting blaster bolts back to the enemy's forces as the second sister walks over to where cal is to resume their duel from Bracca. Cal finishes getting the remaining injured troops to the hanger bay just as the second sister and her purge and death troopers make contact with the Jedi.
"Surrender Jedi. And those inside will be spared." Said the second inquisitor as cal began to sarcastically think about it before destroying the controls to the door as he made sure they wouldn't be able to get to them without a fight.
"Sarge, be ready for a fight. I got imperial troops on the other side of the door. Take care of them while I handle the inquisitor." Said Cal as he runs towards his right towards another hallway away from the hanger bay doors.
"Deal with the troops inside commander! I'll handle the Jedi." said the second sister as she walked over where cal went through just as her troops began to make an alternative approach to getting into the hanger. Sarge and several squads of clones, droids, and recruits were loading the last of the injured to the Kaminoan medical center when they hear the door being sliced open. They prepared for a potential final stand as sarge gathers what ever cover and thermal detonators to se up a trap for the imperials.
"Steady men. We need to give as much time as possible for those transports to make it down the surface. If we make it we'll issue an evacuation order to all remaining personnel. We either fight and die as soldiers of the New republic or let the innocent civilians down there be enslaved by the Empire. And you all know my blood is boiling for a fight!" Said sarge as the remaining soldiers get into defensive positions and sniper fire to deal with the intruders. As the imperials finished slicing through the doors they stormed in and began to open fire on the defenders.
Sarge threw two of his thermal detonator to the enemy troops that kills at least several troopers before using his blaster carbine to gun down a few more troopers. While the imperials were getting pushed back slightly by the defenders assault they began to use their superior training to take out GANR troops one by one with their enhanced weapons but their training is also adds a advantage to the imperials. Yet the defenders are holding strong and using every trick, every weapon available to use against their enemies. And using unorthodox tactics to force the enemy back, and so far it's working for the defenders. With ever GANR defender killed: three imperials are taken out.
Sarge grabs a Z-6 rotary blaster cannon as he and two other troopers began to fire off their weapons to the imperials as they began to suffer heavy casualties before the imperial death trooper took a sniper shot to sarge on his chest plate armor that nearly misses his heart by a few inches. Knocking him out and leaving him injured.
"Commanders down! Lay down suppressing fire on the remaining troops as we get him medical attention!" Said a civilian fighter who took control of the situation to retrieve the clone commander and to deal with the remaining imperials as they pull back from their assault and to prepare for round two with the defenders. They resealed the doors and added ray shields to the entrance so to give themselves extra time to prepare.
"Status guys." Said the civilian trooper
"Blaster bolt missed his heart by a few inches but he needs medical attention asap. We won't also survive another assault from those imperial troopers unless we issue an evacuation order." Said a clone medic who put a shot that keeps Sarge stable for the time being while also adding protective gear at him.
"Should I'll notify command of the situation?" Said a droid commander
"Notify the Jedi of the situation we need to get out of here…." Said the civilian officer before the general alarm went off. Signaling that an evacuation order was issued.
"All GANR troops! Make way toward any escape pods or escape crafts! Make your way towards hanger bays two and three for evacuation orders or section 4 for the escape pods!" Said the alarm system as their main issue and questions were already answered yet realized that they will need to hold the line for every single person left on the station to get out.
Cal began to duel with the second sister as he use ever once of his training to hold back the Jedi Hunter from either killing him or capturing him. They trade various strikes and block's against each other as they test each others skills before cal realizes that she was just holding back and enjoying the thrill of the moment.
"For a Jedi Padawan you skills with a blade isn't half bad. But theirs is another path for you boy: the dark side." Said the inquisitor as they entered a saber lock with each other.
"Thanks for the offer but I think I'll pass on it." Said cal as he force pushes her away from him.
"Considering your lightsaber technique of Form one and form four, I said your master was Jaro Tapal." Said the second sister
"How? Who are you?" Asked cal as they entered another brief duel before locking into another saber lock.
"I was once like you; a Jedi padawan that fought for the republic, but my master abandoned me when I needed her! She left me to be captured by the empire and I had to turn to the dark side to survive. And when I find her; I will kill her." Said the second sister as she breaks off the duel before removing her helmet and throwing it at Cal as a distraction. He easily cuts it in half before seeing the inquisitors face for the first time.
"My former name was Trilla Suduri. And the pain she left for me didn't break me. It made me stronger. For the dark side gives me all the strength necessary to hunt down the other Jedi survivors." As she runs forward to engage the Jedi in a fierce duel again. After a minute of intense combat the second sister disarms the Jedi and prepares to capture the Jedi.
"As much as I want to enjoy this Jedi kill. I have orders to bring you in alive. But they didn't specify in one piece. So I'll start asking questions here and now and if you do not answer I'll cut off a piece of you. So tell me: where's the remaining Jedi?" Asked the second sister.
Before he can start bluffing his way out from this situation the ninth sister came crashing throw several walls of steel and collided with the second sister who was surprised by the fact that she was getting overwhelmed. They were both rendered unconscious from the collision as Ahsoka and several clone troopers carried an injured Jesse in their arms.
"Cal we're leaving. Head to the hanger bays we've already wiped out everything important intel that the empire would've taken. Hurry before they wake up. It took everything from me to simply do that!" Said Ahsoka as cal force pulled up his lightsaber back to him as they made their way to one of the two friendly hangers still on their side as they cleared out the remaining imperial forces close by to them. They entered the hanger where sarge and his group of soldiers were stationed as they lead the evacuation process and orders the escape pods to launch to the planet surface or to one of the surviving ships left out .
Just as the last of the surviving people entered the gunships Ahsoka and Cal felt through the force a powerful presence. One stronger than the two inquisitors they encountered. Anakin was also dealing with the Grand inquisitor and holding on well when he felt the same presence as well. As the Grand inquisitor breaks off the duel for a brief moment he begins to chuckle a bit as he knows who's coming.
"You're now finished now Skywalker. Lord Vader has arrived and will finally capture you and any other Jedi stationed on this world. This is where your story will end young Skywalker!" Said The Grand Inquisitor as they resume their duel with each other. To weaken him long enough for his master to finally capture him once and for all for the emperor.
As my imperial fleet of not only thirty imperial class star destroyers and my personal warship The Subjugation, along side Gideons fleet arrived in orbit on Dantooine I began to make contact with Moff Gideon to prepare his own mission and assault force to capture the Jedi.
"Moff Gideon. Is everything ready for your mission?" I asked
"In but a moment time. The second generation Dark troopers will launch soon along side my prototype jet troopers. They will handle their mission well my lord. The praetorian guards will intercept the Jedi when they land or deal with the failure of the inquisitors down below. I will not disappoint you." Said Moff Gideon
"Very well. You have full command of the entire task force. Use any necessary resources from both mine and yours fleets but I want results. Either the Jedi on my bridge or the inquisitors heads on the ground." I said as I cut off the hologram transmission to him.
Moff Gideon soon walks over to the front of his command bridge and views the battle from his Venator class star destroyer. He begins to finalize his plan and strategy to deal with the insurgents and to capture either the Jedi or execute the Inquisitors.
"Are the second generation Dark troopers ready for deployment?" Asked Gideon.
"Yes sir. The life support system is active and the imperial commandos are ready for their first deployment." Said a female comms officer as they finalize their plans.
"Good. Begin deployment. Have the dark troopers go for the capital city. I will lead the imperial commandos assault on the Kaminoan facility and gather any valuable resources there for my special project." said Moff Gideon as he leaves the command bridge to meet his troops as the next phase of the imperial invasion of Dantooine starts.
And that's the end of part one of a two part ending of the Dantooine arc. I hope everyone is enjoying this series so far and this maybe the longest chapter I've written. Some may ask why does Gideon have the last name Saxon on it. My personal head canon is that Gideon was a Mandalorian who was once part of mauls group and that's why he built the current generation of dark trooper armor Into a suit. Plus the horned helmet reminded me of similar design that the Mandalorians loyal to maul did as well. I'll see you guys at the second part of this story and it's chaoskeeten and I'll see you next time
