Beginning AN: here it is the first chapter of the Harry Potter Year 2 Arc. thanks for your patience in waiting for me to decide when to do it. and before I start I openly give permission for anyone who wants to do a reading story for this story and the other three I've made.
Chapter 14 : Year 2 part 1
Sage, Hermione, Dr. Eggman, Jet Wave and Storm are sitting in their train cabin when the door opens and its a platinum blond haired and blue eyed girl with a dreamy look on her face. Sage asks "Who are you?" the girl says "my name is Luna Lovegood pleased to meet you." Sage says " I'm Sage Robotnik-Potter and these are Jet the Hawk." Jet says "hello it's great to meet you."
Sage continues with "Wave The Swallow." Wave says "hello there it's good to meet you."
Sage continues with "Storm The Albatross." Storm says "hi nice to meet you."
Sage continues with "my father figure Dr. Ivo 'Eggman' Robotnik although everyone just calls him Dr. Eggman." Dr. Eggman says "hello It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance."
Sage finishes with "and last but not least my best friend Hermione Granger." Hermione says "hello Luna pleased to meet you." Luna says "Thank you do you want to be friends?" everyone says "we'll be happy to be your friend." while introductions are being made Athena makes her presence known and says "Hello there I'm Athena the Hero Chao friend of Sage" after everyone else finishes their introductions.
Luna says "hello you're cute." and then asks "what's a Chao?" Dr. Egman says "that'll be one of my lessons this year." Luna asks "have any of you ever seen a crumpled horn snorkack?" everyone says "no can't say we have." Sage asks "are you a Seer or something?" Luna says "yes I am and it's part of my family's inherited abilities." everyone asks "have any of your predictions ever been wrong?" Luna says "nope not even once." they then notice the time and Dr. Eggman and the Babylon Rogues leave the cabin to give Sage Luna and Hermione privacy to change into their uniforms.
after getting dressed Dr. Eggman and the Babylon Rogues come back in and Sage asks "Luna did you have any friends before you met us?" Luna says "yes I did her name was Ginerva Weasley but she prefers being called Ginny. we broke off our friendship due to her obsession with the myth of The Boy Who Lived."
Sage asks "Boy Who Lived? what's that?"
Luna says "11 years ago on Halloween night the dark lord Voldemort attacked the Potter family who were James Charlus Potter, Lily Potter nee' Evans and their son Harry Potter." Sage freezes in place for a moment when she heard her old name and, Jet, Wave, Storm and Luna notice this.
Luna continues with "nobody knows what happened but something happened that caused Voldemort's downfall but the cost was high because both Lily and James died that night but Harry survived with little more than a scar in the shape of a lightning bolt on his forehead but nobody knows where he is due to him disappearing the same night."
Sage, Hermione and Dr. Eggman decide to reveal the truth with Sage saying "there's more to the story than what you know and you can call it Potter Luck kicking into high gear." Luna and Hermione ask "What do you mean?" and Sage reveals what really happened that night with Dr. Eggman telling what his part in it was(AN: read the prologue for details since it gets annoyingly repetitive to mention it multiple times).
Luna says "thank you for telling me this and it'll be fun telling Ginny that her dream of becoming Mrs. Potter won't ever happen." Sage says "that's good but maybe I should tell the press to change the moniker to The AI Who Lived." Luna asks "What is an AI?" Dr. Eggman says "AI stands for Artificial Intelligence but as you now know Sage isn't an ordinary AI since she was a human before becoming one."
after that's said they've arrived to Hogwarts where Luna gets on the boat for first years while Sage, Dr. Eggman, Hermione and the Babylon Rogues go to horse drawn carriages that seem to have nothing to pull them and Jet, Wave Storm, Sage and Dr. Eggman say at the same time "What the heck are those?"
Hermione says "What is what? there's nothing there." they all say "there's horses that look like skeletons at the head of the carriages."
a fifth year Hufflepuff named Cedric Diggory hears this and says "those are Thestrals they have a bad reputation because they only appear to those who have seen death firsthand." they all then get on the carriages and go to the castle and the sorting goes the same as canon with Luna being sorted in Ravenclaw and Ginny being sorted in Gryffindor. before going to bed in the 2nd year dorms Hermione asks "Sage what did you mean when you mentioned Potter Luck?" Sage replies "think of it as similar to the ancient chinese curse called "May you live in interesting times" because if nothing interesting happens to a member of the Potter family at any point in their life then the Potter Curse will make something happen without warning." Hermione says "that explains it."
they then go to bed and The next morning Sage and Hermione head to the common room where they find several older students teasing Luna about Crumpled Horned Snorkacks she was talking about, calling her Loony and things like that, making them rush forward to protect their friend.
Sage says "Stop it right now or face the wrath of House Potter."
Cho Chang says "what could you possibly do to us Potter?"
Sage says "I Sage Robotnik-Potter hereby swear on my life and magic that should my friend Luna Lovegood be bullied then I'll come to her aid and furthermore if the bully is from a house allied with the house of Potter then they can consider their alliance terminated with no chance of being restored. so I say so mote it be." Luna acts as second to the oath by saying "so mote it be." and Sage's magic accepts the oath which will make her come to Luna's aid if she's bullied and should the bully be a member of a house allied with the house of Potter then the alliance will be terminated with no chance of being restored.
the whole dorm of Ravenclaw is speechless and they decide to leave Luna alone.
ending AN: here it is the first chapter of the Harry Potter Year 2 Arc. as I've been hinting at the trio of the story is complete with Luna Lovegood being the third member.
Next time a small time skip to the Polyjuice Potion incident where instead of simply turning into a catgirl Hermione will be turned into a mobian cat similar to Blaze The Cat.
