After our hero's saved Misty from Team Rocket, they decided to take a little break at a Poke-race. All four of them registered. Misty decided to use staryu, Makuson used squirtle, Matt used ninetales, and Bolt used Electabuzz. All of them knew that Misty didnt stand a chance with staryu, but Misty seemed over confident.

"The race will have four courses. Ground, Water, Uphill, and Downhill!" the announcer stated.

"Thats what Misty's planning," Makuson said to Matt

"Probably." Matt said

"Well she's no match for my Electabuzz!" Bolt bragged

"If he can even walk," Makuson said

"Whats that supposed to mean?" Bolt asked

"Guys, its starting!" Matt said

"Three, Two, One... Go!" The announcer yelled. Ninetales began to run faster then any other pokemon, Staryu was running as fast as it could. Electabuzz was walking sort of slowly, and squirtle could barely move.

"Look who's slow now!" Bolt teased Makuson

"Squirtle, Headbutt!" Makuson commanded. Squirtle then began to go straight foward using a headbutt attack.

"Now start spinning and use withdraw!" Makuson yelled. Squirtle did as told and began to spin, and went faster then any other pokemon. He first passed Misty.

"See you at the finish line Misty!" Makuson yelled. He then came near Matt.

"Like my idea?" Makuson asked Matt. Matt looked at him and laughed.

"My ninetales is faster then a spinning turtle!" Matt yelled

"Squirtle, Watergun!" Makuson commanded

"What!" Matt yelled. Squirtle shot the watergun from within its shell, and it began to hit ninetales each time it spun around.

"Hey thats not fair!" Matt yelled.

"Read the rules!" Makuson bragged. He then started to go far out of range for Matt to hit him. Bolt approached Matt with electabuzz.

"Whats gotten into you electabuzz!" Bolt asked. Electabuzz was running faster then squirtle had rolled. Matt looked confused at what he had just saw.

"How is he doing that?" Matt asked Bolt

"I Have no idea, But I told you im winning this race!" Bolt yelled. He then also went out of Matt's range.

"Staryu Tackle attack!" Misty screamed. Staryu then went up into the air, and lunged itself towards where Matt was. She then flew by Matt and stuck her tounge out.

"Ninetales, Full speed!" Matt ordered. Matt and Misty began to go Neck and Neck towards the other two. They soon enough pasted bolt. After a few insults and bragging,
they both went far passed Bolt. They finally approached Makuson and saw him Spinning at top speed ontop of squirtle screaming.

"AHHHHHH!" Makuson screamed rapidly. Matt and Misty laughed at this.

"Told you ninetales could win!" Matt said. He then rushed passed Makuson.

"Oh no you dont, Squirtle, Watergun!" Makuson said. The water gun hit ninetales, but it didnt stop running. Misty then came to Makuson on her staryu.

"Ha, looks like im gonna win this ra-" before Misty could finish, she was knocked off her staryu by a huge explosion.

"What was that!" Makuson screamed. He then stopped his squirtle and went to help Misty up.

"Fire!" a Team Rocket member screamed. Then, five RPG bullets came blasting at the two, But before it could it. Makuson grabbed Misty by her arm and jumped out of the way.

"Electabuzz, Thunder!" Bolt screamed. Electabuzz then hit all six of the team rocket members and made them fly away, with nothing left but a sparkle in the sky.

"Good job electabuzz!" Bolt cheered.

"When did you get here?" Makuson asked.

"Just got here actually, if I wasn't with you, you'd be Hopeless!" Bolt bragged

"What was that?" Makuson and Misty said in unison. Misty then brought out her hammer, and Makuson started to run towards Bolt. When they reached him, Misty whacked his head with the hammer, and Makuson punched him in the stumach.

"What did you do that for, doesn't matter, ill still win!" Bolt screamed jumping onto his electabuzz. Electabuzz then ran as fast as he could.

"Were a good team," Makuson said.

"Yup" Misty said back.

"Lets get going, I can't lose this race!" Makuson yelled. He then jumped on his squirtle and began to spin again.

"See.. You... At... The... Finish... Line...!" Makuson said spinning rapidly.

"Staryu, lets beat them!" Misty yelled. She then hopped on the staryu and it began to spin as fast as it could towards Makuson. Matt, Bolt, Misty, and Makuson had all come neck and neck. Since Makuson and Misty got distracted, Matt was the furthest ahead. But not for long, Squirtle then spun as fast as it could towards the finish line.
Staryu did the same, Electabuzz and Ninetales were left in the dust.

"Aww, I thought I would win!" Matt yelled

"No, I thought I would win!" bolt yelled

"The top two contestants are Neck and Neck! I believe they are Makuson and Misty!" the announcer yelled. They were then only about one hundred feet away from the finish line.

"Its Misty, Its Makuson, Its Misty, Its Makuson, Its Misty!" The announcer said in Antisipation.

"AND ITS A!" The announcer said. Makuson and Misty then crossed the finish line.

"TIE!" The announcer yelled. Soon after, Matt and Bolt made it passed the finish line.

"Makuson and Misty, you came in first place so here is your reward." The announcer said. He then split a medal in two and gave it to each of them.

"Aww, atleast I have two now..." Misty said. Matt and Bolt got second and third place medals, Matt in second, and Bolt in third. All four of them then headed to the next city to get their newest gym badge.
