"Were here!" Makuson exclaimed happily.
"Wheres here exactly?" Matt asked.
"Its the prehistoric mine!" Makuson exclaimed.
"How did you find out about this?" Bolt asked.
"You see, when I crashed into that sign, there was an advertisement for the Prehistoric artifacts mine!" Makuson said.
"Well your welcome for knocking you into it," Misty said.
"Thanks, now lets get mining!" Makuson cheered. The four then went to a room they found near the mine, it had pickaxes, archeologist clothing, and pretty much everything you would need to mine.
"Lets get mining quick, before everyone else finds all of the artifacts," Bolt said.
"Yea, we wouldn't want to travel all the way out here for nothing!" Matt said.
"I do not believe that I have to wear these disgusting clothes!" Misty screamed.
"I didnt think you cared about that Misty," Makuson said.
"Well, I dont mind all the time, but this is brown and disgusting!" Misty yelled. The others began to laugh, and finally after a few bumps from Misty's mallet, the four went down to the cave where the rest of the miners were mining.
"Wow, I didn't think there would be so many other people here..." Matt said.
"Well then we better get mining fast!" Makuson said. The four then began to beat walls with their pickaxes, Bolt and Misty went to the West side. Makuson and Matt went to the East side. After a few minutes, one of them finally found something.
"Hey, I think if found something!" Matt yelled in joy. He mined the remaining rocks and dirt around it, then picked the piece out of the rubble. It looked circular,
and had strange markings around it.
"Its sort of shaped like an egg," Makuson said. A master archeologist then ran to them, and examined the piece carefully.
"Oh my! This is a aerodactyl egg..." the archeologist said.
"Whoa!" Matt and Makuson said in unison. After Misty and Bolt made it to them, they gasped at what they saw. The egg started to crack open!
"Its hatching!" Matt said after he took the egg back from the archeologist. All of the other miners in the cave stopped what they were doing and gazed at what they had seen. Then finally, a little purple head popped out of the top of the egg. The first thing it saw was Matt's eyes staring at it.
"Its awesome," Matt said.
"Sweet!" Makuson yelled.
"Amazing..." Misty and Bolt said gazing apon the scene. The baby aerodactyl then screeched with a low voice. It hopped out of its egg and leaped onto Matt's head.
"He likes you!" Misty said.
"Yea," Bolt added.
"Lucky," Makuson said pettily. Matt then grabbed the tiny aerodactyl down, off of Matt's head, and held it infront of his face.
"So, do you want me to be your trainer?" Matt asked smirking. The aerodactyl screeched again, and jumped out of his grip. It landed on his shoulder, and hugged his head.
"Guess that means yes!" Matt said excitedly.
"Not so fast, because its our mine, we get to keep whatever you find!" The archeologist said.
"No way," Makuson said jumping inbetween Matt and the archeologist.
"He keeps the baby." Bolt said also jumping near Makuson.
"Then shall we battle for it?" Makuson asked.
"Ill battle!" Bolt yelled.
"I asked, so ill battle!" Makuson yelled. After a few moments of arguing, Makuson won the fight, and prepared for battle.
"Fine, winner keeps the aerodactly," the archeologist said confidently. The two then cleared the area and unleashed their pokemon. Makuson chose squirtle, and the man chose a golem.
"My golem is specially trained to win every battle, even those against wate-" Before the archeologist could finish, he heard a noise.
"Squirtle, Watergun!" Makuson commanded. The squirtle unleashed a watergun twice the size of one it ever used before. The watergun hit golem without hesitation, and golem immediatly fainted.
"WHAT?" the archeologist asked. He then sighed and returned his pokemon.
"Good job squirtle!" Makuson cheered.
"Squirtle!" Squirtle said. Squirtle then began to glow a bright white light.
"Whats happening?" Makuson asked.
"Its evolving!" Misty replied shocked. The light began to faid away.
"Who's that pokemon?" Bolt asked. Makuson then pulled out his Pokedex, and scanned the pokemon.
"Wartortle, the evolved form of squirtle. This pokemon is known for its amazing swimming speed." The pokedex said in a robotic voice.
"Wartortle huh?" Makuson asked.
"Wartortle!" The wartortle replied.
"Great!" Makuson exclaimed. Matt then tapped the aerodactyl's head with a pokeball.
"I caught an aerodactyl!" Matt yelled happily.
"Return wartortle!" Makuson said. After finishing mining a while later, almost everyone had found atleast something. Misty found a Kabuto shell, and Bolt found a kabutops claw.
"Lets get going!" Matt said rushing Makuson.
"But i have to fi-" Before makuson finished, his pickaxe hit a hard rock. He mined around it and picked the strange shaped stone out of the rubble. The archeologist once again ran to them and examined it.
"This is uh..." The archeologist said.
"What is it?" Makuson asked excitedly.
"Well, its a aerodactyl's..." The archeologist said.
"What?" Makuson rushed him.
"Private Area," the archeologist finished.
"WHAT?" Makuson screamed wiping his hands on his clothing. The other three began to laugh.
"Atleast I found something." Makuson said.
"Lets get going to the next town!" Bolt exclaimed.
"Sounds good," Makuson said
"Wait, dont you want to keep your finding Makuson?" The archeologist asked holding it up in the air.
"Uh, you can keep it..." Makuson said.
"Whatever you say," the archeologist said. He then ran back into the room.
"Lets go!" Makuson exclaimed. The four then ran to the next town, Fushcia City.
