"Route 17, 1 mile." Makuson read from the sign.
"Great, were getting close," Matt said relieved.
"Oh yea, I almost forgot, check out these!" Bolt bragged while putting on dark sunglasses.
"And where did you get those?" Misty asked.
"I bought them while you guys lost your battles," Bolt teased.
"Shut up!" Makuson yelled.
"Well its tru-" Before Bolt could finish, someone on a bike took the glasses off, placed them on, and road away too fast for them to even notice who it was.
"HEY! Give me back my shades!" Bolt yelled angrily.
"Karma, doesn't it suck?" Makuson asked. Matt began to laugh, but it was shortly lived.
"We should go get those glasses, who KNOWS how much they cost," Matt said.
"Sure, it IS in the direction of route 17," Makuson added.
"Lets just go." Misty said.
"Well actually they only cos-" Before Bolt could finish, he noticed all three running ahead of him.
"Coming Bolt?" Matt asked.
"Yea, wait up!" Bolt replied. After a bit of running, they reached another wooden sign, this time Matt read it.
"Route 17!" Matt said happily that they finally made it.
"Great," Makuson said just as happy.
"Hey, whats happening over there?" Misty asked while noticing a large crowd surrounding one man. They squeezed through the crowd and made it to the middle, where they noticed a tall man on a bike wearing dark sunglasses. He had a black leather jacket, a black shirt, black jeans, black leather shoes that looked like dress shoes. He also had a large black belt containing several pokeballs hanging on to it from chains. Bolt then noticed that the glasses were his and ran up to the man.
"Give me back my Shades!" Bolt yelled.
"No Way," The biker said. Bolt then quickly tackled the biker and they were on the floor fighting. Makuson, Matt, and Misty watched while eating the chocolate bars they had won in the fishing contest.
"Two chocolate bars that the biker will win," Makuson bet.
"No way, Bolt can win this," Matt said putting two chocolate bars into a pile where Makuson's were.
"I've gotta go with Matt on this one, he's winning," Misty said also putting two in the pile. The fight finally came to an end, and Bolt had his sunglasses on standing on top of the biker.
"HA!" Bolt yelled in the biker's face. Misty and Matt each took three bars out of the pile.
"Aww," Makuson complained.
"So, how much were those sunglasses anyway?" Matt asked. Bolt then pulled out a tag from his pocket, it said $00.99.
"You wanted to get back glasses that you paid a DOLLAR FOR?" Makuson yelled.
"WE COULD BE TRAINING ALREADY!" Matt yelled.
"DONT WASTE OUR TIME!" Misty yelled louder then the other two.
"Sentimental value," Bolt said.
"You had them on for ten seconds, then he stole them." Makuson said.
"Lets just get training..." Matt finally said.
"You want a battle eh?" Someone said, in a low voice. The four turned around to notice the same biker Bolt had defeated.
"Your a trainer?" Makuson asked.
"Yes, i'll battle, but under one condition. Winner gets the glasses!" The biker yelled. Makuson, Matt, and Misty looked at him confused as why he would want such a worthless pair of fake sunglasses.
"NO WAY!" Bolt yelled.
"Don't worry, we'll win!" Matt said.
"Come on boys!" The biker yelled. All of the sudden, three other bikers appeared. They had the same attire as the main biker, which was obviously the leader of the small biker group.
"Four on Four?" Makuson asked holding out a pokeball.
"Yes," One of the other bikers said. After preparing for battle, the four stood staring at eachother.
"Go Ditto!" All four bikers yelled at once. Four purple blobs then appeared from a bright red light.
"Go Wartortle!" Makuson yelled. A blue, turtle shaped pokemon appeared out of a bright red light.
"Go Ivysaur!" Matt yelled. A blue and green plant pokemon appeared also out of a bright red light.
"Go Starmie"! Misty yelled.
"Go Electabuzz!" Bolt yelled. Two more pokemon found there way onto the battlefield.
"Ill be the referee," A fifth biker said.
"Fine with us," Makuson stated.
"The battle will now begin!" He yelled.
"Ditto, transform!" All four of the bikers yelled in Unison. All four of the purple pokemon transformed into Makuson, Misty, Matt, and Bolt's pokemon.
"What!" Matt yelled.
"Unbelieveable..." Makuson said stunned at what he was witnessing.
"Wartortle Hydro pump!" Makuson ordered.
"You too Ditto!" One of the bikers yelled. Both pokemon got into their shells and water blasted out of all holes in the shell. They were an even match, niether of them were budging.
"Aim it at Starmie!" Makuson yelled. Makuson's wartortle spun around towards the enemy starmie, and blasted it with the hydro pump.
"Headbutt!" Makuson yelled. Wartortle then ran towards starmie and went into its shell, then popped its head out and went at starmie with amazing speed. It hit the enemy's pokemon right in the center.
"Nice one wartortle!" Makuson cheered. The enemy's starmie began to blink its center.
"Return!" The third biker yelled, returning his fallen ditto.
"Ready?" Matt asked Bolt. They shared eye contact, then nodded.
"Ivysaur, razor leaf at Wartortle!" Matt commanded.
"Electabuzz, Thunder punch at wartortle!" Bolt ordered. The two pokemon ran towards the enemy's wartortle with great speed. Ivysaur stopped a few feat before electabuzz,
and fired its Razor Leaf Attack. The leaves all landed on the wartortle, and the turtle-like pokemon fell to the ground. It tried to get up, but due to its shell shape,
couldn't. Then the electabuzz ran towards the wartortle and with great speed, Landed a thunder punch on its shell. The wartortle immediatly fainted.
"Return ditto!" the first biker yelled.
"Two down and two to go!" Makuson bragged. As Matt and Bolt recently did, Makuson and Misty shared eye contact and nodded.
"Water gun on electabuzz!" Misty and Makuson commanded. The two water pokemon launched powerful water gun attacks at the opponents Electabuzz. They both hit with great force, but what happened, no one expected. The electabuzz touched its hand to both of the water guns, and used a thunderbolt attack. The electricity quickly went through the water and hit wartortle and starmie. They both fainted from the super affective attack.
"Then we'll have to finish it, Ivysaur Razor leaf on electabuzz!" Matt yelled.
"Electabuzz, Thunderbolt on Ivysaur!" Bolt commanded. The attacks both hit. Matt's ivysaur launched leaves at the electabuzz, and it immediatly fainted.
"Wow, they can copy the shape. But not even CLOSE to the power," Bolt bragged.
"Fire punch on Ivysaur!" The fourth biker yelled. The enemy electabuzz ran at great speed towards Matt's ivysaur, it landed a fire punch and due to it being super affective, Ivysaur had Fainted.
"Yea!" The biker cheered.
"Electabuzz, Thunder punch!" Both of the trainers yelled.
"FOR THE SUNGLASSES!" Bolt yelled. The pokemon hit eachother in the face, and both fell back landing on their feet. They stared at eachother for a moment, until the bikers electabuzz fell down and turned back into a ditto.
"All four of the biker's pokemon have fainted, Makuson's team wins!" The referee yelled.
While Matt, Makuson, and Misty cheered for their victory, Bolt seemed angry that they called it Makuson's team.
"How come he's the leader?" Bolt asked.
"Cause im the best!" Makuson said. He then walked off bragging about his win, until he tripped on his shoelace, and fell into the brick road.
"OW!" Makuson yelled in pain.
"Karma, doesn't it suck?" Bolt asked, copying Makuson's voice.
"Shut up," Makuson argued.
"So should we go back to the city?" Matt asked.
"well, our pokemon got a lot of training from that battle, I think so!" Makuson said.
"Lets go get our gymbadges, AND REVENGE!" Matt yelled. The four then head off the their previous destination, Fuschia City.
