"Charmeleon, Flamethrower!" The trainer yelled. Charmeleon then fired a flamethrower towards Janine's Venomoth, Venomoth was then ingulfed in flames.
"Venomoth, Gust!" Janine ordered. Venomoth then flapped its wings and created a powerful wind heading towards Charmeleon.
"Dodge it!" The trainer yelled. Charmeleon just barely jumped above the wind and prepared for attack.
"Venomoth, Poison fang!" Janine commanded. Venomoth immediatly flew towards the charmeleon at great speed. Once it reached it, it dug its fangs into charmeleon. Charmeleon screeched in pain, then fired a flamethrower out of its mouth. Since they were only inches apart, it was a Direct Hit.
"Good one charmeleon!" The trainer congratulated. Venomoth then fell to the floor, and fainted.
"Venomoth has fainted, the challenger wins the battle!" The referee yelled. Janine walked up to the trainer and held up a Soul Badge. The trainer happily took the badge and began to walk out of the gym.
"Good battle," Matt said. The trainer then noticed the four and faced them.
"Thanks," The trainer said.
"Whats your name?" Bolt asked.
"Garrus," Garrus replied.
"Funny name," Makuson said.
"And what are your names?" Garrus asked.
"I'm Matt," Matt replied.
"Misty," Misty said.
"Bolt, nice to meet you," Bolt said.
"And I am Makuson!" Makuson answered.
"Well Makuson isn't exactly better then Garrus." Garrus said.
"Thats true," Misty said.
"HEY!" Makuson yelled.
"So, are you getting your gym badges?" Garrus asked.
"Only me and Makuson," Matt replied.
"Well good luck Matt, I'll stick around to watch." Garrus said.
"Are you sure you want to challenge me again? You'll surely lose." Janine asked.
"We're sure, and we'll win," Makuson replied.
"Good luck," Bolt and Misty said in unison. Makuson and Matt then walked up to the Battlfield.
"If you beat me, you'll get your soul badge, Lets begin!" Janine said throwing a pokeball in the air. A Weezing appeared.
"I'll go first," Makuson said.
"No way, you went first last time!" Matt argued.
"Fine..." Makuson said annoyed.
"Go Aerodactyl!" Matt yelled.
"Isn't he a bit young?" Bolt asked.
"He can still battle," Matt replied.
"Weezing, sludge attack!" Janine yelled. The weezing launched a purple goo at the baby areodactyl, but the dragon pokemon quickly flew away and landed on the weezing.
"Thunder fang!" Matt yelled. The aerodactyl's fangs began to spark with electricity and soon enough, he bit into the weezing. The weezing quickly became shocked from the thunder, and fell to the floor. It fainted.
"WHAT?" Janine, Makuson, Misty, Garrus, and Bolt yelled in unison.
"He took it down in one shot!" Makuson yelled.
"But it's only a baby!" Misty yelled.
"Told you!" Matt bragged. Janine then walked over to Matt and handed him his own Soul Badge.
"Good job, you earned this badge." Janine said.
"Thanks," Matt thanked. Makuson then walked towards the battle field.
"My turn," Makuson said.
"Very well," Janine said.
"Go Ariados!" Janine yelled. She threw a pokeball in the air, and a giant red spider pokemon appeared.
"Go Vaporeon!" Makuson yelled. A Blue Fish pokemon then appeared from a bright red light.
"Ariados, Pin missle!" Janine yelled.
"Vaporeon, Dodge it and use Water gun!" Makuson yelled. The ariados fired two pin missles and they were heading top speed towards Vaporeon; Vaporeon quickly jumped over both of them and fired a water gun straight towards the spider pokemon.
"Good one vaporeon!" Makuson cheered.
"Ariados, Sucker punch!" Janine ordered. The ariados began to run towards the vaporeon.
"Tackle!" Makuson commanded. The two pokemon hit eachother with top speed, and both fell back on their feet. They both stared at eachother for a moment until ariados fell down.
"Makuson wins!" The referee yelled. Makuson began to jump up and down in joy as janine walked over.
"This is yours," Janine said holding up a Soul badge. Makuson happily took the badge and head off to the pokemon center. After a bit of healing, they were about to leave Fuschia City.
"Guys, mind if I come with you for a while?" Garrus asked.
"Well..." Makuson said.
"Sure," Matt answered.
"Who made it your decision?" Makuson asked pettily.
"I did," Matt replied.
"Thanks," Allor said.
"The Five then head off to Saffron City, to get their 6th gym badges.
