"You and Garrus versus me and Misty?" Makuson asked Matt.
"Sure," Matt replied.
"What about me?" Bolt asked.
"You'll stay out of this one," Makuson said.
"No, I wanna battle instead of Misty!" Bolt said. Misty then whacked him with a hammer. He was sent flying far away from all four of them.
"Well..." Makuson said.
"Lets just begin," Matt said.
"Go Staryu!" Misty yelled.
"Go Vaporeon!" Makuson yelled. Two pokemon then appeared out of a bright red light, a star-fish pokemon, and a Blue fish-like pokemon.
"Go Pidgeot!" Garrus yelled.
"Go Ninetales!" Matt yelled. A giant bird pokemon and a fire fox pokemon then appeared out of two bright red lights.
"Pidgeot, Gust!" Garrus yelled.
"Staryu, dodge it and use water gun!" Misty yelled. The pidgeot fired rapid winds towards the staryu, but it simply jumped over the winds and began to spin. It then went straight towards the pidgeot, which now stopped flapping its wings. The staryu hit dead on, and the pidgeot fell to the floor, but in a matter of seconds, it got up.
"Ninetales, Flamethrower on staryu!" Matt yelled. The ninetales opened its mouth and began to form flames.
"Vaporeon, water gun on the ninetales!" Makuson ordered. The flames began to fire, but before it could reach staryu, the water gun made contact with ninetales. Causing it to lose control of its own flamethrower attack. Ninetales quickly fell to the ground and fainted.
"Good job vaporeon!" Makuson cheered.
"Staryu, Water gun!" Misty ordered.
"You too vaporeon!" Makuson ordered. Both fish-like pokemon fired a water gun towards the now flying Pidgeot.
"Pidgeot, Use gust and direct the attacks back at them!" Garrus ordered. Pidgeot did as told and flapped its wings as fast as possible. When the water guns were getting close, they simply went straight back towards the water pokemon. Both water guns hit Vaporeon, and it fainted.
"Sorry," Misty apologized.
"Return," Makuson said. He then opened his pokeball and the fainted pokemon went into its pokeball for a well deserved rest.
"Pidgeot, Whirlwind!" Garrus ordered.
"Staryu, Rapid spin!" Misty commanded. Both pokemon used their attacks, but when Misty's staryu approached Garrus' Pigeot, the whirlwind simply sent staryu straight back to Misty. It landed on her and they were both sent back a few feet. Staryu had fainted.
"Return...staryu," Misty said. She then held out her pokeball and the star pokemon was sent back into its pokeball to rest.
"Sorry about that Misty," Garrus apologized.
"No Problem," Misty said. She then got up, and the others all heard a scream. They looked to where the scream came from and notice Bolt and Electabuzz facing a Pichu.
"COME ON ELECTABUZZ! WE GOTTA CATCH THAT PICHU!" Bolt yelled.
"PiPichu!" Pichu yelled. It then fired a thunderbolt that hit Bolt. But because Pichu's cant conduct electricity like most electric pokemon, it fainted immediatly.
"Go... Pokeball," Bolt said getting up from the thunderbolt, and throwing a pokeball. The pokeball hit the pichu and began to shake. It shook again and again until it finally clicked.
"YEA! I CAUGHT A PICHU!" Bolt yelled.
"Electabuzz!" Electabuzz screeched.
"Thanks electabuzz, return," Bolt said. He then returned his Electabuzz and began to walk towards the others.
"Good catch Bolt," Matt said. Bolt then noticed the four and ran towards them.
"Hey, Didn't see you there!" Bolt said.
"So, should we get heading to Saffron Ci-" Before Makuson could finish, they heard a loud noise, but it wasn't like a Rocket helicopter. They turned to where the noise was coming from, and saw a wild stampede of Tauros.
"Perfect, lets catch some!" Makuson yelled. He then threw a pokeball carelessly in the stampede. In a few seconds, the horde passed. and the pokeball went back to its owner.
"Someone owns all of those?" Bolt asked.
"How can someone have that many tauros!" Matt yelled. They then saw a man following the tauros.
"Have a nice trip," The man said. The man then noticed the kids and walked up to them.
"Hey, not many people come to these parts!" The man said almost shock at their arrival.
"We're heading to the Saffron City Gym," Makuson said.
"Are those your tauros?" Garrus asked.
"Yep, there on a vacation right now," The man said.
"How can you have so many pokemon..." Makuson asked.
"Those? HA, thats only about a tenth of all my tauros." The man said. The other five looked on confused at his statement.
"How..." Misty asked.
"when you live as long as I do, you catch lots of pokemon!" The man exclaimed.
"Cool," Matt said.
"If you want to get to Saffron City, you should take that path there." The man said pointing to a road.
"Thanks," The five said. They then walked to the road and began on their way to Saffron City.
