"So, do you know what type of pokemon this gym leader uses?" Makuson asked.
"I'm pretty sure she uses Psychic," Matt answered.
"You should know that Makuson, your not that bright for a trainer," Garrus said.
"Maybe if I REMEMBERED my past, I would know these things!" Makuson argued.
"You don't remember your past?" Garrus asked.
"Ah... Never mind that for now, we have to challenge that gym!" Makuson yelled.
"Well, Psychic pokemon are known to be pretty strong," Bolt stated.
"Don't worry, I know we'll win the battle!" Makuson said.
"I doubt that," Misty teased.
"YOU WANNA BET?" Makuson argued.
"MAYBE I DO!" Misty screamed. After the two stopped fighting, they entered the Saffron City Gym. When they entered, they noticed tall humans wearing long white coats walking back and forth in every direction.
"Who are all these people?" Matt asked.
"Who knows. WHERES THE GYM LEADER!" Makuson screamed. Suddenly, everyone stopped doing what they were doing, and turned to Makuson.
"HA, You dont know?" One of the men asked.
"Your pathetic" A women said.
"True," Garrus added.
"Shut up Garrus!" Makuson said.
"All we want to know is where she is," Matt said. All of the people suddenly made a path leading to a large purple door. Makuson, Matt, Misty, Garrus, and Bolt walked towards the door, and when they got their, the door suddenly opened. The Five tried to look inside, but only saw a tall Women. The women had bright purple eyes, the door was covered in the same color. Suddenly, her eyes turned to normal, and the door stopped glowing.
"Are you here to challenge me?" The gym leader asked.
"Yea, three of us," Matt said. Garrus and Makuson then walked up and stared at their opponent.
"I am Sabrina, the Saffron City Gym leader." Sabrina stated.
"Can we have a double battle?" Makuson asked.
"Hey, im here too!" Garrus said.
"Oh yea... Triple battle?" Makuson asked.
Sabrina suddenly snapped her fingers, and two men walked out from either side of her. Sabrina and the men threw out their pokeballs.
"Go Abra!" The first man yelled.
"Go Kadabra!" The second man yelled.
"Go Alakazam!" Sabrina yelled. Three psychic pokemon appeared from bright red lights, and looked ready for battle.
"Go Vaporeon!" Makuson yelled.
"Go Ninetales!" Matt yelled.
"Go Pidgeot!" Garrus yelled. A Vaporeon, a Ninetales, and a Pidgeot suddenly appeared out of bright red lights.
"Let the battle begin!" The referee yelled.
"Ninetales, Flamethrower" Matt yelled.
"Alakazam, Psychic," Sabrina ordered. Ninetales opened its mouth and prepared for a flamethrower. It then began to glow a bright purple light, and was sent flying back into the back wall.
"Ninetales has Fainted!" The referee announced.
"WHAT? ONLY ONE SHOT?" Matt questioned.
"Damn..." Garrus said.
"So, who's next?" Sabrina asked. Garrus then stepped foward and ordered his pokemon to attack.
"Pidgeot, Gust!" Garrus yelled. Pidgeot quickly flapped its wings and all three pokemon flew back quite a distance.
"Vaporeon, Watergun!" Makuson commanded. Vaporeon fired water towards the Abra, and hit it dead on.
"Abra has Fainted!" The referee yelled.
"Kadabra, Psybeam!" The second man yelled. Kadabra then fired a purple beam towards Vaporeon, and hit with great speed. Vaporeon flew back a few feat, but landed on all four of its feet.
"Pidgeot, Gust on Kadabra!" Garrus ordered. Pidgeot then took aim and began to flap its wings towards Kadabra. The attack sent Kadabra flying back into its trainer.
"Kadabra has fainted!" The referee announced.
"Garrus, lets team him!" Makuson said. Garrus nodded and the two looked towards Sabrina.
"Vaporeon, Water Gun!" Makuson ordered.
"Pidgeot, Gust!" Garrus commanded. The two pokemon began their attacks and fired towards Alakazam.
"Alakazam, Psychic!" Sabrina yelled. Alakazam began to glow purple, along with Vaporeon and Pidgeot. Suddenly, The two pokemon flew backwards into their trainers. Pidgeot quickly got up and began to fly towards alakazam.
"Pidgeot, Wing attack!" Garrus ordered. Pidgeot quickly flew towards the alakazam and used its Wing attack.
"Direct Hit!" Matt said. Pidgeot flew back above its trainer, and looked on to see what happened. Alakazam was on the floor, but still concious enough to battle.
"OH NO! Pidgeot is too tired to try another attack..." Garrus said to himself. Suddenly, water flew by Pidgeot and hit Alakazam directly in the face. Alakazam flew back and fainted.
"Alakazam has fainted, The challengers win the battle!" The referee said. Makuson, Matt, and Garrus cheered for themselves. Sabrina suddenly walked over and held out a case containing three Saffron gym badges.
"These are yours," Sabrina said. The three happily took their badges, and after saying goodbye, left to their next city.
"You remember the bet we had Misty?" Makuson asked
"Yea," Misty said.
"I won!" Makuson said.
"Idiot, we didn't bet anything!" Misty said.
"Uh... I still won," Makuson said. The five then walked towards their next destination for their next badges, Cinnabar City.
