"Sure, lets look for some shelter" Matt replied. The five began to search for anywhere to stay, when Matt came across a giant mansion.
"I Found something!" Garrus screamed. Makuson, Bolt, and Misty followed Garrus' voice, but ended up near a tiny cave.
"Its too small, lets see if we can find something bigger" Bolt said.
"I FOUND SOMETHING!" Matt screamed. The four ran to the voice and also saw the giant mansion.
"Whoa" Makuson said.
"Why would a mansion be in the middle of the forest like this?" Garrus asked.
"Who cares, we found shelter!" Bolt said. Matt then knocked on the door, but no one answered. He placed his hand on the doorknob and noticed the door was unlocked. He opened it carefully and looked inside.
"Looks like the place is empty..." Matt said.
"Five people going into an empty mansion in the middle of the forest. What can go wrong?" Makuson asked.
"Well, heres the kitchen, lets just stay here." Matt said. The five entered the kitchen and placed their sleeping bags on the floor. After the five weer in their sleeping bags, the door of the kitcken started to creek. All five were still awake and jumped up. They slowly walked to another corner and watched the door. It was wide open, and a tall man walked in.
"How did you get in my house?" The man asked.
"You left the door open," Matt said.
"That doesn't mean you should go into random peoples houses!" The man yelled.
"Sorry, but do you think we could stay here for the night?" Bolt asked.
"Yes, that would be great." The man said. This made the five confused, but they shrugged it off and went back to their sleeping bags.
"What do you think he ment by that?" Misty asked.
"Who cares, lets just rest." Garrus said. The door opened again, and the man was standing their standing at the five.
"Who wants dinner?" The man asked. Before anyone could respond, Makuson was already out the door and at the dinner table. The other four soon followed, and they all sat at a large table filled with a variety of foods.
"Thanks a lot!" Makuson said.
"Yea, we had nothing to eat," Matt said.
"No problem, just enjoy," The man said walking out of the room. Makuson then looked as he walked away. He then looked in the opposite direction and saw a mirror, he saw only the five in it. He quickly looked back and saw the man turning the corner.
"WHAT?" Makuson screamed.
"What is it Makuson?" Bolt asked.
"I looked in the mirror, and that man wasn't in it!" Makuson screamed in panick.
"Its probably all in your head," Matt said.
"Yea, theres a lot of room in there." Garrus teased.
"Shut up Garrus..." Makuson said. The five continued to eat, but Makuson stil wasn't convined.
After all the food was eaten, the five were walking back to the kitchen when they heard a loud noise. A Flareon burst through the kitchen door and was shaking its head in horror. It ran behind Matt's leg, when a red light returned it.
"What was that?" Matt asked.
"My Flareon," The man from before said.
"Why was he acting that way?" Misty asked.
"I... accidentally stepped on his tail" The man said.
"I don't believe it!" Makuson screamed. He ran towards the man and attempted to tackle him. The man simply turned to the side and stared at Makuson, Makuson's and the Man's eyes began to glow purple. They then stopped, and the man spoke up.
"You five should go to bed." The man said.
"Yes" Makuson said. He then walked into the kitchen and went to sleep. The other four went to their sleeping bags and went to sleep soon after.
Makuson woke up earlier then the others, and walked into the main room.
"Man, wierd night." Makuson said.
"Ah, you've awoken early." A voice said from behind Makuson.
"I know your not a normal person, leave me alone." Makuson said.
"Ah, you've figured it out?" The man asked.
"Who are you, and what do you want?" Makuson asked.
"You'll know soon enough!" The man said lunging at Makuson. They both fell to the ground, and began a fist fight. Makuson jumped out of the fight and threw a pokeball.
"Go, Wartortle!" Makuson yelled. The man quickly followed and threw his pokeball.
"Go, Flareon!" the man screamed.
"Flamethrower!" The man screamed. The flareon turned around and launched a flamethrower at its trainer.
"Why you little!" The man screamed.
"Wartortle, Headbutt on the trainer!" Makuson screamed. The wartortle launched itself at the man and used a Heabutt attack. The man fell to the ground and began to form into a Pokemon.
"A Haunter!" Makuson screamed.
"Haunter..." The ghost pokemon said. The mansion slowly began to fade away. Once it was gone, there were only the sleeping bags, and tree's.
"WAKE UP!" Makuson screamed. The other four slowly awoke and looked towards Makuson.
"What happened to the mansion..." Misty asked groggily.
"It wasn't a mansion, it was all an illusion created by this Haunter!" Makuson yelled. The other four got up and ran to Makuson's side.
"Wartortle, Watergun!" Makuson screamed. The water gun hit haunter, but it didn't do much damage.
"Go, Staryu!" Misty yelled.
"Rapid spin!" Misty ordered. The starfish pokemon began to spin, and hit haunter. It still didn't looked that damaged.
"Go, Ninetales!" Matt yelled.
"Flamethrower!" Matt commanded. The ninetales launched flames at the haunter, it hit directly. The haunter looked very tired.
"Wartortle, Watergun!" Makuson ordered.
"Staryu, You too!" Misty yelled.
"Ninetales, Flamethrower!" Matt yelled. The three attacks hit the Haunter, and sent it flying away.
"Return!" The three said in unison. The three pokemon were returned to their pokeballs, and the five began to head off to their next destination, Viridian City.
