"COME ON! WAKE UP!" Misty Screamed. Makuson jumped up from bed, looking towards the doorway. He saw all of his friends fully dressed and ready to go.
"What time is it?" He mumbled.
"8:00, were supposed to be leaving right now." Bolt said.
"WHAT?" Makuson screamed. The others left and went downstairs as Makuson ran around getting his stuff. In 30 minutes, he finally packed up and was ready to go.
"Great, now we have to run most of the way there." Garrus complained.
"Excersize is a good thing," Makuson said. He then ran ahead with the others running close behind him.
"Were supposed to be there at 9:00," Misty said as she ran.
"We could make it," Matt said. 40 minutes had passed and they had finally arrived at the Indigo Plateau.
"Were here... to sign up... for the pokemon league..." Makuson Panted.
"Your lucky, we were about to close down the sign-up stand." A man said handing Makuson papers. Makuson read the papers and signed his name. He handed the papers to Matt, and Matt gave them to Garrus.
They had all signed their names and handed the papers in.
"You two arent Competing?" The man asked Misty and Bolt.
"No, were just here to watch." Bolt responded.
"Okay, you two head to the right, and you three head to the left." The man instructed.
"Great," Matt said. The three then head towards the left where they saw a training room. Many training dummys, a giant swimming pool, and a large field for running and digging.
"This is great," Makuson said. He sent out all of his pokemon and told them to warm up a bit. Matt and Garrus soon did the same. While the pokemon began to train, a man walked in and held up sheets of paper.
He handed out a sheet to every contestant. They were the battle orders.
"Well, im fighting someone named John," Garrus said.
"Im after your battle, aganist a guy named Sam" Matt said.
"Im in the first battle, against someone named Mary" Makuson explained. He seemed excited because his battle was going to be the soonest.
"Well, your battle starts tommorow at 10:00" Matt said
"You'd better not sleep through it," Garrus joked.
"Yea Right, i'd never sleep through something this important." Makuson Confidently said.
"You slept through getting here," Matt said.
"Its not the same..." Makuson mumbled.
"Well, until then, we'd better get training." Matt said.
"Yea, i'd like to evolve my Charmeleon before the tournament starts." Garrus added.
"Well, I'm gonna try to find my opponent." Makuson said. He then walked away from the group and began to search. Garrus and Matt got their pokemon and began battling.
"Hey, are you Makuson?" A voice asked from behind him. He turned around and saw the girl that was against him in the first match, Mary.
"Yea, That's me" He said.
"Great, what type of pokemon do you train?" She asked.
"Uh, all of them?" He answered.
"Well, I specialize in Fire and Thunder types." She said.
"I see," Makuson said.
"I could use my Blastoise for the fire types, and Golem for the Thunder types." Makuson thought to himself.
"I've gotta prepare for tommorow's battle. See you then," She said walking away.
"Well, I should go tell those two their gonna battle. But wait, I need three for each round. I guess i'll just bring along Clefairy. Her metromone could come in handy." Makuson wandered off in thought. He found Blastoise who was swimming at amazing speed back and forth in the giant pool.
"Blastoise, your in tommorows fight!" Makuson said.
"Blastoise!" It said confidently.
"Im off to find the others, You keep training." Makuson said. He walked around until finding Golem which was punching one od the dummy's,
"Golem, get ready for a battle tommorow!" Makuson warned.
"Golem!" It responded. It then went back to punching the bag. Makuson searched until finally finding Vaporeon who was growling at another pokemon. When Makuson got a better look, he saw a Flareon growling back.
"Vaporeon, what happened?" Makuson asked. Vaporeon turned to Makuson, but while but while Vaporeons guard was down, Flareon prepared for an attack.
"Stop!" Mary screamed from behind Flareon.
"Thats your Flareon?" Makuson asked.
"Sure is," She responded. The two pokemon continued to growl furiously at eachother.
"Don't worry Vaporeon, you'll most likely be fighting that Flareon tommorow." Makuson said.
"Vaporeon." It said confidently.
"You should start training a bit, why not join Blastoise in the pool." Makuson recommended. Vaporeon took the offer and ran towards the pool. When it got in, it greeted Blastoise. They began racing eachother.
"Well, the league starts tommorow, so i'd better start preparing." Makuson thought to himseld. He then walked around looking for his pokemon. The Pokemon Indigo League would start tommorow. Makuson Versus Mary.
