"So, which pokemon are you gonna use?" Garrus asked.
"I plan on using Ninetales and Aerodactyl," Matt replied.
"What? Why not Ninetales and Growlithe?" Makuson asked.
"Well, I wouldn't want this to be too easy. I'll bring three of my pokeballs. Just incase I'm in trouble, I'll switch Aerodactyl with Growlithe." Matt explained.
"Alright, we're gonna go meet up with the others, good luck with your battle." Makuson said as he stood up.
"Don't worry Matt, you got this." Garrus said. He also stood up, and the two walked away. Matt stood up soon after, and walked in another direction. After a few minutes, Matt arrived at the gate leading to the battlefield, waiting for the battle to be announced.
Makuson and Garrus finally found their way to the Battlefield. Makuson looked around, and noticed a large audience around the battlefield, awaiting Matt and Sean's battle.
"Stop looking around, lets fine Misty and Bolt." Garrus said.
"Fine, lets try to find them before the Battle starts." Makuson agreed. The two wandered around for a while before finding Bolt and Misty sitting on a long bench, with a few seats next to them. Makuson and Garrus sat down next to the two, and waited for the announcement.
"Think Matt can win?" Bolt asked.
"Definetly, if he gets in trouble, he'll use both his fire types." Garrus explained.
"He seemed confident about the battle." Makuson added.
"I hope he's not overconfident in himself." Misty worried.
"The battle between Matt and Sean will begin in 5 minutes, will both trainers please get to the battlefield." A deep voice spoke over the Microphone. Matt entered the battlefield and the audience began to cheer. Shortly after, another trainer walked in from the other side of the field. This had to be Sean. He had a blue shirt that said, "Pokemon Master", and black jeans. He walked into his trainer-box, grinning confidently. The two stood staring at eachother for a while, until one spoke.
"May the best trainer win." Matt said.
"That'll be me," Sean bragged.
"We'll see." Matt said. After a few minutes, an announcner walked into the middle of the battlefield and began to speak.
"Both trainers get two pokemon, when both pokemon on a side are no longer able to battle, the trainer on the other side wins. Once a pokemon is out, it can only be returned when the battle is over. Let the Battle Begin!" The announcer yelled.
"Go, Ninetales!" Matt yelled. Matt threw a pokeball into the battlefield, and a Ninetales came out, ready for battle.
"You fell right into my trap." Sean said.
"What?" Matt asked in worry.
"Go!" Sean yelled. Sean threw his pokeball into the air, it opened, and a white light began to form. Makuson, Matt, Garrus, Bolt, and Misty were all shocked at what they saw. The pokemon Sean had used, was a Blastoise.
"WHAT?" Makuson yelled.
"He must've switched pokemon via PC at the last second." Garrus explained.
"What a dirty trick." Misty growled.
"...Ninetales, Headbutt!" Matt yelled.
"Blastoise, Watergun!" Sean ordered. Ninetales began to rush towards the blastoise, before being blasted back with a powerful Watergun.
"Crap, Ninetales, try again!" Matt commanded.
"Hyrdo Pump!" Sean ordered. Ninetales began to run towards Blastoise, this time a bit faster.
"Jump over it!" Matt yelled. Ninetales quickly did as told, and jumped over the blast of water. Ninetales finally reached Blastoise with its headbutt, but Blastoise barely moved.
"Ninetales, Flamethrower!" Matt yelled.
"Watergun!" Sean ordered. Both pokemon blasted beams at eachother. The beams clashed, but little by little, the Watergun took over. Eventually, the Watergun extinguished the fire, and hit Ninetales.
Ninetales fell back from the knockback, and became unconcious.
"Ninetales!" Matt screamed.
"Heh, this is too easy." Sean bragged.
"Ninetales, return." Matt said. Matt held up his pokeball and returned his ninetales.
"Crap, this isn't good!" Garrus yelled.
"He only has Aerodactyl left!" Makuson yelled.
"I thought something like this might happen, so I planned ahead," Matt thought to himself.
"What are you gonna do now?" Sean asked.
"Just wait and see you little brat." Matt said. "Go!". He threw a pokeball into the air, and a white light began to form. The light quickly formed into a Venasaur.
"Venasaur!?" Makuson yelled in confusion.
"He didn't say he was bringing him!" Garrus yelled.
"Leave it to Matt to think this far ahead," Bolt commented.
"So Sean, What are you gonna do now?" Matt asked.
"...Blastoise, Hyrdo Pump!" Sean growled.
"Venasaur, deflect it with Vinewhip, than use Razor Leaf!" Matt ordered. The hyrdo pump quickly sped towards Venasaur, but before it could make contact, Venasaur deflected it with its Vines. After the Hyrdopump was destroyed, Venasaur began to launch spinning leaves towards Blastoise.
"Dodge it Damnit!" Sean yelled. Blastoise tried to move out of the way, but couldn't dodge in time. The leaves all hit Blastoise, and it took heavy damage.
"Critical Hit!" The announcer yelled. Blastoise, heavily injured, still had a little strength left to fight.
"Venasaur, Earthquake!" Matt yelled.
"Hyrdo Pump!" Sean yelled in anger. Venasaur stomped its feet on the ground, causing a heavy earthquake. Blastoise quickly tried to fire a Hyrdo Pump, but before he could fire, the Earthquake reached it.
Blastoise fell over from the earthquake, and became unconciousness.
"Return Blastoise!" Sean yelled.
"So Sean, whats your next pokemon?" Matt asked.
"This won't go unforgiven!" Sean yelled. He threw another pokeball into the air. A White light began to form, revealing another Venasaur.
"This should be an interesting battle," Matt thought to himself.
"Another Venasaur? This battle all relys on stratedgy." Garrus said.
"If so, this should be easy for Matt," Makuson said.
"Venasaur, Vinewhip!" Both trainers ordered. Both Venasaurs launched vines towards eachother, and both vinewhips grabbed hold of eachother. Niether side was budging. After a few minutes, Matt thought of something.
"Venasaur, Let go of the vines and use Solarbeam." Matt said low enough so Sean couldn't hear it. Venasaur did as told, and let go thereby letting the Vines hit it. Venasaur began to absorb energy from the sunlight.
"Looks like my venasaur is stronger." Sean boasted.
"Razor leaf!" Sean yelled. Leaves were launched at Matt's Venasaur, and they hit Venasaur, dealing heavy damage.
"NOW!" Matt yelled.
"What!?" Sean asked.
"Solarbeam!" Matt ordered. Matt's Venasaur aimed towards Sean's Venasaur, and prepared to launch a Solarbeam.
"Matt thought this through!" Makuson said.
"Venasaur, Earthquake!" Sean ordered.
"Hop in the Air!" Matt commanded. Sean's venasaur stomped on the ground, causing a giant earthquake. Before it could reach Matt's Venasaur, it jumped up into the air.
"This can't be!" Sean yelled.
"Fire!" Matt ordered. Matt's Venasaur launched a heavy beam made of energy at Sean's Venasaur. It hit Sean's Venasaur directly, and a smoke cloud formed. Everyone anxiously waited for the smoke cloud to move. It finally faded, and Sean's Venasaur was on the ground Unconciousness.
"Both of Sean's Pokemon are unable to battle. Matt is the winner!" The announced yelled.
"Great job Venasaur!" Matt cheered.
"Venasaur, you did well." Sean said. He returned his pokemon and began to walk away. Three hours have passed, and the 5 are currently sitting in the Cafeteria.
"You did well Matt," Misty said.
"Yeah, I was surprised when you used Venasaur." Makuson agreed.
"Garrus, your in the next battle, did you find anything out about your opponent?" Matt asked.
"Yeah, his name is Silver. He trains all types of pokemon. Its gonna be a tough battle." Garrus replied.
"Don't worry, you'll win it." Bolt said.
"Hopefully," Garrus said. The 5 left the cafeteria, and walked to their own rooms. The next battle will be Garrus against Silver.
